The electrically charged and sword-wielding Kwang makes his way into the hero lineup of the open beta MOBA Paragon. What he brings along, however, might not please everyone.
Tower Weakening
A week has passed since the last patch received little appreciation from players. Developer Epic Games responded after a few days to the criticism, admitted possible communication errors and presented hard numbers to make their actions more understandable.
They dedicated a long time to reducing game time, as this was reported in player surveys to be the most frequent point of contention. With the recently released patch v32.1, they aim to implement the final changes that will affect party duration before turning to the acquisition of card XP/XP and general gameplay.
With the update, the life of the T2 towers, inhibitors, and the core is reduced. Specifically, this means a HP decrease of the first two by 1000 to 2,500. The core drops from 6,300 to 4,500 health points. This is intended to lead to a quicker victory for one team, especially in the later stages of the game.
The Distant Melee Fighter
However, not only optimization is ongoing. Since Tuesday, October 4th, the new melee fighter Kwang can wield his sword on the battlefield of Agora.
However, he should also be approached with caution from a distance. Not only can he throw his solid silver slicing weapon and teleport directly to it, but then deal melee damage.
Even if he remains in place, his sword can draw enemies within a certain radius and deal damage through electricity. This stays embedded in the ground until the ability “Judgment of Heaven” is reactivated or a standard attack is executed.
If you see an unattended sword stuck in the ground, do not try to imitate King Arthur and pull it out like Excalibur. Rather, stay on guard and take a few steps back, as Kwang might charge at you the next moment.
As with every release of a new playable character, there is a Hero Race running until Monday evening. Here, the community aims to gather as much experience as possible with Kwang. Anyone who contributes can look forward to up to 7 card packs, provided the set goal is achieved.
