Papaplatte gets eliminated from game in Pro7 show because he thinks the Brandenburg Gate is 165 m high

The Twitch streamer Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller was part of the Pro7 show “Das Duell um die Geld” and was tested on his general knowledge. When asked about the height of the Brandenburg Gate, the 28-year-old did not perform very well, even though he was so sure of himself.

Which show is it about? It is about the ProSieben show “Das Duell um die Geld”, a show by and featuring Joko and Klaas, which is named after their show “Das Duell um die Welt”. In a large circle, various public figures sit at a table and “gamble” on estimation questions.

This year’s edition features Sophie Passmann, Steven Gätjen and the Twitch streamer Papaplatte, among others. The whole thing is moderated by Oliver Kalkofe.

“I can’t justify that”

Why does Papaplatte get eliminated? At the beginning of the round, the question is asked how high the highest wave ever surfed was. Papaplatte writes down 167 m. To help the contestants estimate how close they are to the solution, two clues are given. The first clue is that the Brandenburg Gate is only two meters shorter than the wave.

Joko and Klaas voluntarily drop out of this round, but Papaplatte is more confident than ever that he has chosen the right answer. Without thinking much, he goes all in and bets all of his 500 euros. Only he and Steven Gätjen remain in the round.

The correct answer is revealed: it is 28.57 m, and the Brandenburg Gate is 26 m tall.

Then the estimates of Steven Gätjen and the Twitch streamer are shown. Steven Gätjen is very close with 27.53 m.

Before Papaplatte reveals his answer, he says: “No, there is no justification for that. I can’t justify it.” He shows his answer, and amid applause, he joins the also eliminated Sophie Passmann at the bar to watch.
