In Palworld, a player has found a creative way to move up inside a building. He built a type of “elevator” and has even surprised the developers with it.
When it comes to movement in Palworld, there are various options. You can walk, ride on Pals, or fly, even use a glider and “fly” over the map. Additionally, there is a useful item that allows you to pull yourself up rocks and buildings.
A player used the item inside a building and created a sort of elevator. On X, he presented this in a video clip on February 6, which at the current time (February 7, 6:30 PM) has already recorded over 2.6 million views.

“Elevator” thanks to the grappling hook gun
What item does he use? The player uses a grappling hook gun in the clip that allows for quick movement. The rope of the gun hooks onto the targeted location and then pulls the character there. However, the mechanism seems to work differently here.

How does the community react? On X, a user writes that he “loves” the idea. Another user notes that they now just need appropriate elevator music. One user comments: “Who needs stairs when you have a fancy elevator! #LazyLife” (in German: Faulenzerleben).
The clip has been viewed millions of times and shared over 400 times.
The developers of Palworld also shared the clip. In the post on X, they write: “Well… that was unexpected… They built an elevator.”
Does it work? We tried this in Palworld and found that it worked. We placed a stone platform and put stone walls on all four sides. Then, we stood against one wall and used the grappling hook gun to target the point where the floor and wall meet.
Soon after we “shot,” we also flew up—until the point where the wall ended. And we remained in that position, as you can see in the first screenshot. With the key indicated in the game, you can cancel the process (on the keyboard with “CTRL”). Then you essentially stand on the edge of the wall, as illustrated in the second screenshot.
From there, you could then fly down again or enter other rooms that connect to that spot (if you have built any). Whether this method always works and stays in the game, we cannot say.
