The creature collector Palworld still has millions of players just weeks after its release. However, Palworld is one of the few games that from the start forgoes a feature that few players like: microtransactions.
The game does not include microtransactions and that makes many players happy
What are the players saying? A player explains in his post on reddit that a major strength of Palworld is that it is not plagued by microtransactions. Because you can simply play the game as you like. And that is a rare thing for modern games:
You know what I really love about this game that no one really talks about? There are no microtransactions.
I don’t have to pay extra to get XP faster. I don’t have a hundred skin options in front of me. I don’t have to buy the ultimate, unlimited, digital extreme upgrade just to gain access to the legendary Pals… I can just play the damn game the way I did in my childhood. That makes me happy.

Will it stay this way? Many players hope that the developer PocketPair will not eventually add microtransactions, DLCs, or other content to earn extra money. Because today it is normal for live-service games to finance their development with such content.
Especially in light of the joking remark from the head of the studio, that the development studio could eventually go bankrupt due to high server costs, some fear that microtransactions will come sooner or later.
