You can carry thousands of stones in Palworld with a simple trick and move them between different boxes without being overloaded.
What is this trick? As the user “BeyondSmash” shows on Reddit, you can easily transfer large amounts of resources from one box to another without being overloaded.
To move the resources, you simply need to take the resources from one box and drag them between your own inventory and the box’s inventory. After that, you press the Tab key on your keyboard while continuing to hold down the mouse button to carry the resource.
By pressing the Tab key, you exit the inventory and can then run to the box where you want to store the resource. Finally, you just need to open the box’s inventory and toss the resource in.
You can repeat this with every resource, but only ever with one at a time. If you want to move multiple resources, you will need to run back and forth multiple times.
You can see the trick again on Reddit in a video here:
Here’s how the trick works, summarized again in bullet points:
- Open Box A
- Grab the resource with the mouse, keep the mouse button pressed
- Drag the resource between your own inventory and the box’s inventory
- Exit the inventory with “Tab”
- Run to Box B, open its inventory and store the resource
However, if you’re playing Palworld with an Xbox controller, we unfortunately have to disappoint you. The method only works with mouse and keyboard because that’s the only way to drag the resource between inventories.
Why is this helpful? You can move large amounts of resources this way without being overloaded on the way. If you are overloaded, you run much slower or may not be able to move at all after a certain degree.
So if you want to clean up your storage and move resources to specific boxes, or if you occasionally pick up unwanted large amounts of stones, wood, or ore, this method is ideal for still being able to move.
But if you want to use the method because you’ve accidentally picked up tons of resources, you still need a box within reach that you can access. Fortunately, you can build one with just 15 wood and 5 stones – even outside your storage.
