Building a base is one of the central elements of Palworld. A player wanted to expand their base but accidentally deleted it instead because they had equipped the wrong item.
Some players proudly showcase their bases on Reddit – and receive criticism for it, while others have complete chaos in their base, but unintentionally employ a clever trick. One player built a “lift”. And one player apparently wanted to expand their base and then accidentally deleted it.
On Reddit, the user “BlingCringus” shows his base in Palworld in a video on February 11. There you can see him trying to place a “Hot Spring” in his building. However, he tears it down before construction – and then deletes his entire base with a click.
“I thought I was still in the building menu”
How did he delete his base? In the 15-second clip on Reddit, you can see the character in the building mode of Palworld trying to place a “Hot Spring” in his base. Equipped with a rocket launcher, he tears it down again before construction.
The character jumps down from the floor – and suddenly his entire base blows up around him. In the title of his Reddit post he writes: “Don’t build your base with a rocket launcher in hand…”
And in the comment he explains: “I’m playing on Xbox, it was just a slip of the hand. I thought I was still in the building menu.” Thus, he accidentally fired the rocket launcher and blew up his entire base.
What does the community say about it? Some users joke about the situation, while others “mourn” his loss. The user “Rinomaru” comments: “Okay, so the 3 little pigs and the wolf only needed a rocket launcher!” One user advises to close Palworld with ALT+F4 and revert to the last save point.
The user “TifaRizaLuffy” notes: “I recently gave my wife her first rocket launcher. During the first raid, she blew up half the base with one shot.” Another user comments: “That’s why I only equip the rocket launcher when I really need it; 14,000 damage is not a toy, lol.”
The creator of the post writes in the comments that it was for the best, as he had not been able to find out how to get this base to work anyway. Luckily, it was only his coal base.
In the open world of Palworld, you can set up to three pal boxes at the same time and thus have three bases to provide good protection or effectively utilize access to resources.
