A Palworld player is complaining about the mess in their base, but they don’t know that they are inadvertently using a clever trick.
Why does the player have a chaos in their base? In Palworld, you can not only catch many different Pals and breed them, but you can also have them do various jobs. They farm stones and wood for you, smelt metal, or produce organic products like eggs, milk, honey, and wool on a livestock farm.
The harvested and produced resources are usually stored by the Pals themselves in boxes and cabinets, if you have any in your storage. However, this was not the case for one player on Reddit, and his three livestock farms were overflowing with food.

When the player complained about the food chaos in their base on Reddit, other users informed them that they had indeed inadvertently used a clever trick that gave them a significant advantage.
The chaos makes food last longer
What kind of advantage is this? As players in the comments on Reddit mention, the food produced on the livestock farms has no expiration timer as long as it is still on the ground. This timer only starts when you pick up the respective product and have it in your inventory or a box.
The expiration timer indicates how long a food item or ingredient will remain fresh. For example, if you have a berry in your inventory and it is still fresh for one minute, it will be removed from your inventory after that minute has passed.
The player who complained about the chaos in their base on Reddit does not only have a messy livestock farm with everything on the ground. They also have a huge food storage where essential ingredients like milk, eggs, and honey do not spoil.
Clever food storage for cake production
Why is this such a big advantage? If you want to breed Pals in Palworld, you need to make cakes and place them in a breeding farm. For this cake, you need flour, eggs, berries, milk, and honey.
Since the food has no expiration timer when it is on the ground, you don’t have to worry about refrigerated storage. It also means you do not have to consume the food quickly – that is, before it spoils.
You can simply leave it on the ground and only pick it up when you are making the required cake for breeding.
