In Palworld, you can sell your captured Pals for gold to a merchant, but a player has now captured that merchant and sold him to himself through a bug.
What kind of merchant is this?
- In Palworld, there are so-called black market traders. These are traders who buy and sell Pals for gold.
- You can capture the black market traders and have them work in your storage like Pals
- If you have a black market trader in your storage, you can trade with him without leaving the storage
- You can also relieve the black market traders of their gold if you defeat them in battle or slaughter them after capturing.
The Reddit user “zerotheskull” posted a 40-second video in the subreddit of the survival game, where he captures the black market trader and then uses a bug to make him buy himself instead of a Pal.
You can watch the player’s video here:
How did he make the merchant sell himself? The player captured the black market trader with a Pal sphere, but before the capture was completed, he spoke to the trader.
Then the trading menu opened, showing the offer of the black market trader as well as the player’s Pal collection. Normally, the player would now select which Pal he would like to buy or sell.
When the capture was successfully completed and the player looked at the line with Pals in his team, the merchant himself appeared there. He was then able to sell him for 3,750 gold – to the merchant who was slumbering in the Pal sphere.
So the black market trader bought himself, but when the purchase was completed, the shady figure simply disappeared.
What does the community say about it? Players saw the bizarre bug mainly as an opportunity to amuse themselves about the situation of the black market trader. One user wrote, “I sold myself and I was worth every gold I gave myself,” summarizing the possible thoughts of the trader.
Another user commented: “He didn’t sell himself to anyone and vanished in the cosmic dimension. Good that he paid you the ticket to hell.”
Other players are not spending their time capturing traders but are instead capturing a rare Pal with really good skills: Palworld: Player has absurd luck and captures nearly perfect Pal
