In Palworld you can increase your catching skill with Lifmunk statuettes. We will show you how to do that.
How do you increase your catching skill? If you want to increase your catching skill, you need to go to a “Statue of Power” and select “improve own abilities” where you then sacrifice so-called Lifmunk statuettes. These are small, green glowing statues of the grass Pal “Lifmunk”.
You can find and collect Lifmunk statuettes all over the map. They often appear on slopes or small hills and mountains. Due to their green glow, you can find them particularly well at night.
You can find a Statue of Power at certain locations on the map – often in church-like ruins – or you can build one in your camp through the building menu. A “Statue of Power” is a stone statue of the Pal “Anubis”.
Increase catching skill – Community has theories about what exactly it brings you
What exactly does catching skill do? A higher catching skill helps you to be more successful when catching Pals. The calculated catch chance during an attempt may be higher than if you had not increased your catching skill beforehand.
However, how exactly catching skill influences your catching chance is currently unknown. There are, however, two theories within the community:
- Leveling up the catching skill increases the percentage catch chance during a catch attempt.
- Example: If you have a 10% catch chance unlevelled, it would be around 12% after increasing the catching skill (the percentage values are just examples, not actual numbers).
- Leveling up the catching skill increases the percentage catch chance during a catch attempt with a Pal sphere that is too low for the level of the Pal to be caught
- Example: You use a normal, blue Pal sphere that is suitable for Pals of level 1-9 for a Pal that is already level 15. Without the leveled catching skill, the catch chance in this hypothetical scenario is 3%, but leveled up it increases to 5% (the level and percentage values are just examples, not actual numbers).
However, we repeat that these are only community theories. An official explanation from the developers regarding how exactly leveling up the catching skill influences your catching chance is unknown to us.
