In Palworld, the survival hit for Xbox and Steam, you can build a base where your Pals live and work for you. However, your base is also a popular target for raids by enemy NPCs. One player has turned the tables and locked the raiders in.
What’s up with the raids? In Palworld, your base is regularly raided by enemy NPCs. This may be merely annoying at first, but at higher levels, the opponents can cause significant damage to your beloved home.
Since some players put in the effort and build fantastic constructions, the raids can become a real problem. Usually, you protect your base by building a wall around it and installing defensive systems. However, one player turned the tables and showed his method against raids on Reddit.
Community has devilish ideas for the raiders
What kind of trick is this? Player “Axljio” announced on Reddit that he found the spawn point of the raiders. He shared a screenshot showing a high wall that the player built around the spawn location. The raiders spawn within these walls, giving them no chance to reach the base.
At least in theory, Axljio should now be safe from annoying raids. For the curious: Axljio claims that his base’s coordinates are [-157, -350] and the spawn is at [-127, -359]. You can see the result here:
How is the community reacting? They seem quite excited and have already given the user more than 4,500 upvotes. In the comments, many express their admiration: This player has “200 IQ”; he plays “4D chess” while everyone else is still stuck in 3D. “Asunarie” finds the whole thing simply “fantastically malicious” and wants to try it out themselves (via Reddit).
Other players apparently are not pleased with the raiders at all and have numerous more or less practical ideas on how Axljio should deal with his captives. Some of these we have compiled for you here:
- Guyname10: “Fill it [the spawn point] with traps now.”
- Tronicalli: “Let them fight each other in gladiator battles.”
- MissionApollo7: “You should build a complicated maze and see if the AI can navigate through it.”
- KingRokk: “Blow them up from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.”
- omguserius: “So… if you just place a bunch of mines there, the problem solves itself?”
Reddit user HDizzo recommends equipping the floor of the spawn point with campfires. This is a method that clever players have also used to grill a boss that is actually much too strong. That you might not receive loot from it is probably secondary: “Oh. Burn the bastards,” writes must_be_nice69.
What to consider? In fact, Axljio’s method is not entirely foolproof. As some community members point out, there could be more than this one spawn point.
Others point out that all constructions built outside your base will gradually decay. The player would have to keep returning to this spot and renew the walls, or disable decay in the settings – but then you might as well play without raids altogether.
