In Palworld there are a total of 113 Pals. Some of them are rather weak, while others are much stronger. You will encounter some particularly strong opponents in the tower boss battles. At the end of the tutorial, Zoe is waiting with her electric Pal Grizzbolt. But is it possible to catch the strong boss Pals?
Can you catch bosses like Grizzbolt? Yes and no. Officially, you cannot catch Zoe’s Grizzbolt, for example. However, there are two different ways to still obtain the Pals of the tower bosses.
There is an exploit that allows you to catch boss Pals along with their trainer. However, you need to attack an innocent NPC and then start the boss fight with a wanted level and pursuers.
We recommend being patient and catching the Pals in a regular way once you have reached the necessary level. Both Grizzbolt and the following boss Pals Lyleen, Orserk, Faleris, and Shadowbeak can be encountered in specific locations.
Catching Grizzbolt and other boss Pals
Where can you catch Grizzbolt? You can catch Grizzbolt on a small island in the south of the map. Simply travel south from the Rayne Syndicate Tower, where you fought against Zoe and Grizzbolt, until you reach the coast.
From the coast, you can fly to the island. A Nitewing, which you can equip with a saddle starting from level 15, is suitable for this.
Where can you catch Lyleen, Orserk, Faleris, and Shadowbeak? After the battle against Zoe and Grizzbolt, you will encounter four more boss duos:
- Lily & Lyleen
- Alex & Orserk
- Marcus & Faleris
- Victor & Shadowbeak
The four remaining strong boss Pals – Lyleen, Orserk, Faleris, and Shadowbeak – can all be caught at the same location. This is again an island similar to the one where Grizzbolt is located, but this time it is situated in the north of the map. You will reach the island by flying to the coast on the northeastern side of the desert biome.
The Pals of the total 5 tower bosses all have different elements, by the way. While Grizzbolt belongs to the electric element, Lyleen is a plant Pal.
The bird Faleris has the fire element, Shadowbeak belongs to the shadow element, and Orserk possesses two elements: dragon and electric.
Can you also catch world bosses? Yes, world bosses, that is, powerful Pals that roam freely in certain locations on the map, can be caught like normal Pals.
You will encounter one of these world bosses very early in the game: the giant, plant-covered mammoth Mammorest, which belongs to the grass element. Mammorest is a strong battle Pal and therefore appears in our lists of the best Pals for battle, base, and as a mount.
