With the last major patch in Palworld, many new changes were added, including craftable items, the option for raids against the Pal Bellanoir, and the collection of Ancient Cores. We at meinMMO will explain to you today how to obtain Ancient Cores.
How to find Ancient Cores: Currently, there is only one way to find Ancient Cores: defeating the raid boss Bellanoir. To achieve this, you need to be at least level 33 and make thorough preparations.
What do you need Ancient Cores for? In the new patch, not only were Bellanoir and the Ancient Core added, but also some practical items that you can craft if you have Ancient Cores. For one, there is now the electric incubator, which you need for breeding Pals.
You unlock this at level 36 in the tech tree, which keeps your hatching egg at the optimal temperature.
Additionally, you can unlock the Talent Glasses at level 34. This shows you the HP, attack, and defense values of the opposing Pals during battle.
How to reach the raid boss Bellanoir: To obtain Ancient Cores, you must defeat the raid boss Bellanoir. However, careful preparation is essential for this. First, you need to unlock the Summoning Altar at level 33 in the tech tree by investing ancient tech points. The materials you need to build it are:
- 100x Stone
- 20 Paldium Fragments
You need to place the Summoning Altar in your storage. It is therefore advisable to build a separate storage area just for raid battles, since you can have more than one storage, so that you don’t accidentally tear down your hut. A significant advantage is that depending on the level of your storage, up to 15 Pals that would otherwise support your storage can fight with you, and you can even swap them out during battle if they become incapacitated.
There are three versions of Bellanoir as a raid boss
To summon a raid boss, you also need a stone tablet. There are three different versions of it, so also three different versions of Bellanoir:
- Bellanoir Stone Tablet
- Bellanoir Libero Stone Tablet
- Bellanoir Ultra Stone Tablet
You can craft these tablets from the corresponding stone shards. You mainly obtain the stone shards by completing dungeons. It is also possible that you find the shards in overworld chests, but the drop rate is so low that we recommend obtaining the shards specifically by completing dungeons.
However, it is important to note that for each type of stone tablet, there are also corresponding stone shards. You need 4 of each to craft one stone tablet. The only exception is the Ultra Stone Tablet, which you obtain by defeating the Libero variant.
