More details about the Monster Hunter movie are gradually being revealed. Recently, it was confirmed that an old fan favorite will have a role and will even fry the protagonist.
Monster Hunter is finally getting a movie in December. It had few fans after its first teaser, but director Paul W.S. Anderson unveiled more details at the New York Comic Con.
Palicos are also supposed to play a role in the new film; a Monster Hunter without the cat companions is inconceivable. Moreover, the popular chef from Monster Hunter World will also be featured. However, his appearance and relationship with the protagonist are a bit different from what one might expect.
Flirty “Miauskulärer Koch”
The Miauskulärer Koch is known from Monster Hunter World. There, he is the cook in the capital Astera, which was already present in the base game. In this canteen, you can eat and thereby strengthen your character for missions.
Originally, the cooking Palico was the companion of the Admiral but then retired to become a chef. However, the traces of battle are still very evident on him.
In the film, the Admiral is played by Ron Perlman, known from Hellboy. His little feline friend is very attracted to the protagonist, Captain Artemis, portrayed by Milla Jovovich. He regularly flirts with her. Anderson called their relationship “interesting”.
It is definitely interesting, considering that Captain Artemis finds herself in a strange world, is attacked by huge monsters, and then a more or less cat shows interest in her. We can definitely expect that the charming chef will provide some laughs in the film.
