Palia Roadmap: What can we expect from the new MMO in the future?

Now that Palia has been in beta for some time and has already received new content, we are left wondering what we can look forward to in the future. Even though we do not have an official roadmap from Singularity 6 yet, there are a few things we can (probably) expect.

What has already been officially confirmed? Through the patch notes, the Discord, or dev updates, some things have been directly confirmed by the developers that we certainly don’t want to keep from you:

More options for character creation: beards, different skin colors, new hairstyles, and similar things.
Options to interact with decorations: turning water on/off, sitting on benches and chairs. These are major wishes from the players.
An obstacle course: for those who can’t get enough of climbing!
New areas where players can let loose. Some have even been mentioned in dialogues with NPCs.
Magical groves: So far, the purple trees have been a bit too rare, but that should change soon.
Signal arrows: Anyone who has had difficulty finding group members may enjoy the signal arrows. Just shoot them into the air, and others will see your position!
Controller support: Currently, controllers are only unofficially supported, but in the future, playing with a controller will be very comfortable.
Switch version: It is planned that Palia will come to the Nintendo Switch later this year, which fits perfectly for a cozy MMO.

However, there are also a few things that have not been officially announced but are speculated by the players. We have also summarized these for you.

New story, new plants, and mystical creatures

What speculations are there? The contents mentioned here are not officially confirmed but are very likely. Either based on previous patches or the frequency with which characters mention certain themes.

Less of a speculation, because it will inevitably happen, but more story. With the already introduced fire temple and the associated quests, the story has progressed a bit. However, we can already say that definitely more is coming, as we can see in the temple that at least two more seals exist.
Some new recipes and plants have already been introduced into the game, but we can certainly look forward to content in these areas in the future. Especially when we are taken to new places that have their regional specialties. For example, Umbraa is said to be known for its crystals, and the bees that can currently be collected come from Akwinduu. Perhaps in the future, there will be a possibility to keep bees and produce honey?
The Maji market will probably not be the only market or festival. Delailah has mentioned a harvest festival, and the Maji market in Bahari City is said to be much bigger. It’s also conceivable that there will be festivals or markets during different seasons, such as a Christmas market.
So far, eggs, milk, and butter can only be bought from Zeki, but based on the fact that there are Ormuus (cows) on the Daiya farm and Peklis (chickens) are mentioned repeatedly, there may be a possibility to keep our own animals in the future. Furthermore, at least one character (Nai’o) has mentioned mounts. Given that it is already time-consuming to get from our house to Bahari Bay without fast travel, mounts would indeed be conceivable, especially if the map gets even larger in the future.
Magical/mythical creatures. Many characters, especially Elouise, repeatedly mention a beast from the Ancestor Forest. Furthermore, throughout the story, we learn that when humans disappeared, strange beings haunted the world. We probably won’t be able to fight them (because Palia is intended to be without a combat system), but it is certainly conceivable that there could be quests surrounding special creatures.
