If you want to complete the quest “Old Coin” in Palia you need to complete a small treasure hunt in Bahari Bay. We will show you how to do it.
Where do I get the quest? If you haven’t started the quest yet, head to the flooded fortress in Bahari Bay. To find the old coin, you need to get inside the fortress. You can do this by climbing the overgrown pillars or jumping from the broken waterway onto the wall. Walk along the wall down the stairs and then just follow the path.
Then go down the next staircase and you will come into a room with a large Phoenix statue. Walk around the statue and you should see a glowing vase. Interact with it and you will start the quest.
How do you solve the quest? Your next task is simply to ask about the old coin. You can now talk to Einer, Jina, Hekla, and Zeki, but apart from Zeki, no one can help you further. He tells you that he has also found one of these coins and placed it in the mouth of the Phoenix statue, which then “spat out” a piece of paper.
To get to the bottom of the mystery behind this whole thing, Zeki asks you to find more coins and give them to the statue. So head back to the flooded fortress.
The next vase only appears if you have found the previous one, so don’t be surprised if you find one of the vases on a path you have taken before. To reach the second vase, climb up the cliffs and jump onto the broken waterway. The vase is at the front, just before the end.
Collect them and the last vase appears on a pillar near the second path into the fortress. Look for the overgrown pillar, climb it up, and then collect the last vase.
Now return to the inside of the fortress to the Phoenix statue and you will see that you can interact with the statue. Give the three coins and you will receive another message each. To complete the quest, you need to read all three messages as well.
Finally, return to Zeki to bring him the “good” news and complete the quest.
