At DreamHack in Valencia (Spain), the best console teams of Paladins from North America and Europe have gathered. DreamHack is the largest computer festival in the world. Originally started as a LAN party in a basement, DreamHack has evolved into an event for gaming culture, eSports, and gigantic LAN parties. It is a festival for gamers that has now spread across Europe and North America.
Studio Hi-Rez saw this as a perfect venue for Paladins’ console battle. This marks the official start of Paladins’ professional scene on consoles.
Paladins “Console Wars” celebrates launch on PS4 & Xbox One
In March 2017, the hero shooter entered open beta on PS4 and Xbox One. Players had four months until July to improve their skills and learn everything about champions and deck building.
A professional player scene quickly formed in Paladins on consoles. To celebrate the launch on consoles, Studio Hi-Rez announced the “Console Wars” at that time.
Paladins’ best teams on Xbox & PS4 are set – Today is the final
At DreamHack, the best team on Xbox One and the best team on PS4 have been determined. These two teams will compete against each other in the final today, on July 15th.
- On Thursday, July 13th, Team Cryptic defeated Invigorate Gaming. Team Cryptic represents PS4 in the final.
- On Friday, July 14th, Strictly Business defeated Gankstars. Strictly Business represents Xbox One in the final.
Today, July 15th, Team Cryptic (PS4) and Strictly Business (Xbox One) will fight for first place at 4:30 PM.
The winner will receive a prize of $25,000, which is about 21,800 Euros. Additionally, the winning team represents “the best console”.

Those who watch the stream of the console battle on Paladins’ official Twitch channel have the chance to get the exclusive skin “DreamHack Maeve”. You can also win crystals or chests.
