Paladins recently introduced an “Auto-Buy” system that automatically purchases items. Here’s how to disable it.
With patch OB 47, Paladins added a new feature: automatic item purchasing. Many players are now confused and believe this is a bug. However, automatic item purchasing was intentionally implemented in Paladins by Hi-Rez.
Paladins “Auto-Buy” is designed for new players
The “Auto-Buy” feature is meant to make the entry into Paladins easier for new players. In the team shooter, you can upgrade your champion during matches with item cards. This can be a challenge for some players, especially at the beginning. After all, you first have to learn the deck-building system.
That’s why Paladins now automatically purchases items for you if you do not turn off “Auto-Buy.” For players who just want to have some casual games in Paladins, this feature can be practical. You don’t have to think much about the item build but can dive straight into the action.
Those who have been in Paladins for a while usually prefer to build their items themselves. They have more experience and have developed strategies for using items.
Disable Auto-Buy for Items – Here’s how to turn off automatic purchasing
Automatic item purchasing has been enabled for every account since OB 47. You can simply disable Auto-Buy:
- Go to settings
- Click on gameplay
- Disable automatic item purchasing
If you complete these three steps before starting the next match, you can purchase your items yourself again.
