The new season of Pokémon GO once again brings a special research task. MeinMMO shows you what tasks and rewards await you here.
What kind of research is this? The new season Memories in Motion started on March 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Pokémon GO. As usual, the season lasts about 3 months and ends on June 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
If you log into the game during the season, you will receive a new special research task titled Rising Pressure. Here you can receive the mysterious monster Volcanion if you haven’t received it yet. If you already have the monster, you will instead receive candies.
Why do I not have the research? If you do not receive it upon logging in to the game, it is because you have not yet completed the special research “Glitz and Glam” with Diancie, which you could have received in 2024. If you see this in your special researches, first complete it to receive the new research.
We show you what tasks you need to complete for the special research and what rewards await you.

Who Crimson Desert has already been able to play complains about the controls. The complex key assignment is said to be unintuitive and deviates from known standards. However, behind this weakness lies a clear design philosophy.
What is the problem with the controls of Crimson Desert? Even at the play events at gamescom, colleagues complained about how complex and unintuitive the controls of Crimson Desert are. The action-adventure deviates from established genre standards and overwhelms players with countless functions, for which one has to press several buttons on the controller at the same time.
The key mapping in battles even resembles fighting games like Street Fighter with its many combos, throws, and weapon attacks. But even outside of combat, you have to press unusual key combinations to interact with NPCs or objects in the game world.

Crimson Desert shows more of the fights and progression in the action RPG in the new gameplay video
The latest preview event shows that while the developers made adjustments in detail after the criticism, they remain true to their fundamental design philosophy. On the other hand, it is now clear that players were not only overwhelmed because they were allowed to play a relatively advanced character at the time – the overwhelm sets in immediately at the start of the game.
GameStar colleague Michael Obermeier, who was allowed to play Crimson Desert for about 6 hours, explains on YouTube:
This control is quite overwhelming at the beginning. I would say it takes a lot of acclimatization, and I kept thinking while I was playing: God, I’m such an idiot. I can’t handle this at all. How embarrassing is that?
But then I talked to the other people who were there […], and everyone I spoke to said that the controls are pretty tricky. It requires quite a bit of adjustment.
This was obviously not just the case for Michael and his conversation partners; every other preview report from March 4, 2026, discusses the controls of Crimson Desert as one of the biggest, if not the biggest weakness.
On the YouTube channel of GameStar-Talk, a chat about the preview event with Michael Obermeier has already been released – take a look:

Why are the controls the way they are? In various interviews, the developers have already commented on the criticism of the controls and explained their design philosophy behind the complex key mapping.
They want to give players maximum freedom and access to a variety of maneuvers in combat (Source: gamereactor.eu). The resulting complexity is not a problem but a feature – skill should be rewarded.
Both in combat and outside of battles, you can interact with an unusually large number of objects in the game world in different ways. This would not be feasible with a simple 1-button mapping (Source: insider-gaming.com).
Players will learn the countless functions and moves gradually, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the complex controls step by step (Source: YouTube interview with marketing lead Will Powers).
After 6 hours with Crimson Desert, colleague Michael also has an idea of why the controls must be as they are:
Maybe this is a problem that resolves itself after 20, 30 hours because you simply get used to it, and after this time it becomes clear to you why things are “strangely” mapped, because when you have all the abilities or all the features at the same time, then it might all make sense. […]
Among these features is the ability to grab objects with a Zelda-like grappling hook and navigate them through the air, which is needed for puzzles or physics tricks in the world.
In combat, you also use melee and ranged weapons, unlock new active skills through the talent tree, select equipment and consumables from radial menus, and you can sneak, jump, and climb, and so on.
Whether Crimson Desert will be easier to control with mouse and keyboard on PC seems unlikely – as the developers recommend a controller at every opportunity. And since the developers stand by their design philosophy despite the criticism, not much will change in the basic controls by the time of release. The embargo for the preview event of the upcoming action-adventure Crimson Desert has been lifted. We will show you what the previous testers are celebrating and where there are significant issues.
What was this event about? In a final hands-on event before the release, some media representatives were able to play the full version on PC for a few hours in advance and gain a first, more extensive impression. They were able to dive into the beginning of the game for up to 6 hours and freely explore the open world.
Today, on March 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM, the embargo for reporting has been lifted, and the testers were able to share their opinions with you. Our colleagues from GameStar were also on site and report on their experience in their preview article as well as the associated video.
You can find out how the game is being received so far and what positive and negative aspects have been noticed in our article.
Update from March 13, 2026: We have refreshed the article in light of the upcoming release so that you can get a first impression before the embargo falls and the upcoming reviews.

Crimson Desert reveals the release date in the new trailer
An exhilarating spectacle that is difficult to put into descriptive words
What did testers like about Crimson Desert? In one aspect, almost everyone agrees: Crimson Desert is a gaming experience that is truly difficult to describe briefly and concisely. This is not least due to the sheer scope that the game offers – whether it’s the vast open world, numerous mini-games, extensive abilities and mechanics, or the countless secrets and details that can be found in the game.
The graphics and the accompanying presentation, which is often described as a true firework, are also praised. Many testers were similarly overwhelmed and impressed and felt that after the hours in the preview, they had only scratched the surface.
Frequent comparisons are made with games like The Witcher, Dragon’s Dogma, Zelda, or Monster Hunter. The title is also sometimes compared with Ghost of Tsushima or Red Dead Redemption. Fans of the MMORPG Black Desert are also expected to enjoy it and encounter numerous references. The flow in combat as well as the many options for movement are also praised.
According to preview reports, a major strength of the game lies especially in its exploration drive that it awakens in players, as there is something new to discover at every corner and the map can be freely explored from the very beginning. However, there were also some aspects that did not sit well with the testers.

Amid menu chaos, control issues, and absolute overload
What negative aspects stood out? The biggest criticism that is most frequently mentioned relates to the control of the game. Whether with a controller or mouse and keyboard, it is not only clunky but also filled with numerous double assignments and countless combinations that are hard to internalize. This often resulted in testers doing things they did not actually intend to do.
The menu navigation is also said to be similarly overwhelming and obscuredly overloaded. While one usually finds what they need after some searching, it is not easy at all. Some testers also felt that while the game offers a lot of content, it does not all come together into a cohesive whole, even though the individual parts are genuinely fun.
Another point of criticism also applies to the story and the characters. Where the visual presentation truly shines, the story, at least during the preview hours, clearly falls behind and appears pale, boring, and convoluted.
The overall complexity of the game with its abilities, features, and combat system is also praised, but seen as a potential hurdle, as it would require some patience to learn and internalize everything. However, if one can engage with it, the game would certainly offer numerous hours of fun.
Until the release on March 19, 2026, it is still some time, and the reviews of the complete game will also take until March 18 to be published. So, if you want to think more about whether the game might be something for you – or perhaps not – you can check out the article by MeinMMO editor Karsten Scholz, as he finds that Crimson Desert reminds him of a game that surprised us last year: Crimson Desert is a solo experience with MMO scope and could be as successful as the big RPG surprise of 2025

Season 2 of the live-action adaptation of One Piece will soon premiere on Netflix. In Season 2, a new member joins the Straw Hat crew. However, shortly before, there is another member seen, who will meet the Straw Hats many years later.
Warning, Spoiler: We reveal a member of the Straw Hat crew and the possible number of additional members for the pirate crew.
Who is seen? Just a few days ago, rumors circulated that actor Martial T. Batchamen plays Brook in the One Piece series. Only now is there confirmation from several insiders and a picture from the set showing Brook on a ship.
This is a member who will only join the Straw Hats many years later. After the current 5 members, Brook joins only after 3 more pirates. He is a musician and will later bring a cheerful atmosphere to the ship.
However, it makes sense that the pirate is seen now in Season 2. His fate is linked to the whale that lives at Reverse Mountain. He will only be seen briefly in a flashback.

Netflix shows in the new trailer for One Piece the many new villains of Season 2
Brook appears many years earlier
When will he fully appear? If the pace of the seasons continues like this, we wouldn’t see Brook before 2035. It may be that the pace of storytelling changes repeatedly during filming. In fact, Brook only appears much later in the story.
Is the picture real? The shown image has raised some doubts about its authenticity among users on X. After all, some containers can be seen in the lower right corner. A fan wonders why they would leave the containers standing there in the lower right for a poster.
Others clarify that the containers are part of the set and that the image is not an official poster. Rather, it is simply a picture from the set that would be styled like a poster with text and logo.
Since the info has now been confirmed by several well-known One Piece insiders, we can assume that the picture is most likely a real image from the set. But remember, we still have to wait for the official announcement or the release of the series for full certainty.
You won’t have to wait much longer for Season 2 of One Piece to premiere on Netflix. All information on when it will happen and when which episodes will be released can be found in our overview here on MeinMMO: One Piece Season 2: Trailer, Release and Cast for the Netflix series

These are the 5 most relevant German streamers on Twitch in 2024, according to Google
The 2nd season of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen suffered from a tight schedule. Only now is the finished version available, which was originally intended for release.
What version is this now? Crunchyroll has swapped its version of season 2 of JJK. Originally, the version that aired on Japanese television was shown. From now on, fans can watch the version that is also available on Blu-ray.
In the previous version, a lot was done with dimmers. This is a common practice where strong light effects are reduced. It was introduced after the episode of Pokémon, that caused epilepsy in numerous children.
Additionally, the animation quality has improved. There are new animations as well as corrected character designs that were not present in the original broadcast. This includes, for example, Toji Fushiguro’s corrected face from Episode 15.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 – Trailer for the upcoming Arc “The Culling Game”
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen was a nightmare for animators
Why wasn’t this available earlier? In the past, there have been numerous reports about the catastrophic working conditions at MAPPA, the animation studio behind Jujutsu Kaisen. Numerous animators have spoken out on social media and shared their own experiences.
Mushiyo reportedly worked hard every day until dawn correcting animations. The management reportedly did not care about the health of the employees and paid them poorly (to read on Otakomu).
The animation team had so little time that they were unable to finish the episodes. According to NobiliRoccia, Episode 17 of Season 2 was only 30% complete (Reddit).
Even the director of Episode 16, Itsuki Tsuchigami, spoke out. He expressed gratitude for the hard work of the animators. They produced an incredible achievement under these circumstances. It would not have been possible during normal working hours (to read on Animehunch).
Due to stress and a lack of resources, the episodes probably were not completed. Mappa has presumably caught up now and fans can now watch the version that was intended for the anime from the beginning.
MeinMMO-Demon Cortyn has experienced the zenith of all anime. Because last week aired the best episode – ever. At least that’s what Cortyn claims.
I have basically been watching anime forever. I started, like many, with Sailor Moon in the afternoon program, then devoured Pokémon, Monster Rancher, and other series, and watched Son-Goku scream at rocks for hours in the evenings.
I love anime and I really watch a lot of it. It’s one of my biggest and most passionate hobbies. I watch good series, but sometimes I also struggle through bad ones. Therefore, I believe I know a fairly broad range of anime.
But I have never seen an anime episode as good as the one last week.
Spoiler alert: If you haven’t seen the episode yet or want to see it, you shouldn’t read on, as we go into detail about the episode.

Oshi no Ko – the trailer for the 3rd season of the dark revenge anime
The episode that cements fate
Of course, the episode does not stand alone – it builds on the previous story. Simply watching the mentioned episode will only result in confusion and won’t feel nearly as intense.
I can hardly help but describe my feelings during this episode. From the first to the last minute, it was thrilling and full of revelations. There were both beautiful and disturbing moments.
The episode begins with the idol group B-Komachi facing the release of a upcoming article. Their member Kana was photographed disappearing with a director into his private apartment – the perfect, spicy story, even if nothing happens.
Aqua wants to help Kana avoid this disgrace. But before that, he asks his sister Ruby if she could “handle suffering a little herself to avert suffering from Kana” – and she agrees.
Ruby’s trauma is triggered again when she sees her dead mother on television.
Aqua has a plan to prevent the article: He sells the magazine a much better story, namely his own origin. He is the secret twin of the murdered superstar Ai. The story explodes and overshadows all other stories while simultaneously plunging Ruby into traumatic experiences.
Akane (Aqua’s girlfriend) has meanwhile long figured out who Aqua’s father and thus Ai’s murderer is. She plans to confront him herself.
Akane’s surprise is accordingly great when she suddenly becomes the potential victim.
I can hardly describe what this scene triggered in me. Just seeing that Akane has a white bouquet in her hand, the melancholic music starts, and you hear her thoughts creates an oppressive feeling. In series, it is usually a big “red flag” when a character talks about what they would like to experience and do in the future. This is usually done before immediate death to give it more weight.
And so it seems to happen – Akane is shoved down a staircase, and the whole staging skillfully suggests that she has just become a victim and is dying … until Aqua catches her.
The slightly insane look of a potential murderer.
But instead of a heroic rescue, the scene becomes even more emotional. Because Aqua reveals how he knew where Akane was – he has been bugging and listening to her for months. He has tracked her every step and thus knows who the murderer is. The couple separates. Although Akane has every reason to end the relationship, it is rather Aqua who makes the decision in order to fully engage in his revenge plan.
All cards are thus on the table. The fate and path of all characters are sealed.
Aqua’s eyes give a hint of where the journey will lead.
The best thing I’ve seen in 25 years of anime
Maybe you think while reading this: This doesn’t sound that great. But believe me: It was. It was by far the best single anime episode I have seen in well over 25 years. No other episode has had such perfect pacing, such a wealth of revelations, and emotional moments that harmonize so perfectly with the music. I clenched my fists multiple times during the episode, held back tears, and then had to smile mischievously when the light madness of the characters came to the fore.
That I seem to not be completely wrong with this opinion can also be seen in the ratings on the internet. On the review platform IMDb, the episode has a rating of 9.6 / 10 points – with over 1,000 ratings. That’s quite telling and puts most other anime episodes of all other series to shame. Just to quote a few reviews:
What else is there to say about this masterpiece of a medium? Every scene is unbelievably impressive and every second of this episode is a flawless example of what modern anime should be.-Connor-656
Episode 7 of Season 3 is an absolute masterpiece that not only delivers breathtaking animations, powerful emotions, and brilliant character development. Every scene feels significant, with perfect pacing and beautiful images that elevate this story. The tension and depth are incredible. A flawless 10/10 experience that exceeds all expectations. – L3-199
If you haven’t given Oshi no Ko a chance for any reason yet – catch up. What at first glance seems like an absurd idol show with reincarnation turns out to be a highly dramatic series with a lot of tension and characters you really root for and empathize with. No other series in recent years has made me feel so emotional.
I just can’t get enough of it. And I’m already dreading the moment when Oshi no Ko will come to an end. Because for me, it is one of the great series that we will look back on in a few years and think: “Man, that was a groundbreaking great story.”
In WoW Midnight there is a shady vendor in a dungeon who sells you an absurdly expensive item. But with a trick, you can get it for almost free.
What item are we talking about? The item in question is the painting “Perspective of the Shu’halo.” You can purchase it from the shady art dealer Cravitz Lorent in the dungeon “Murder Alley” for a mere 9,999,999 gold, 99 silver, and 99 copper. A bargain, if you’re constantly filling your coin purse to the limit and don’t know what to do with all that money.
For all other inhabitants of Azeroth, however, it might be worth using a trick to lower the price to 999 gold, 99 silver, and 99 copper. You just have to convince Cravitz Lorent that you are an absolute unlucky person. This was discovered by a player from the Secret Finding Discord.
The best part: You can team up with friends to reach your goal faster. We will explain how to do this.

How to get the painting “Perspective of the Shu’halo” cheaper
What do you need to do to convince Cravitz Lorent? You will find Cravitz Lorent directly to the left behind the first boss in the dungeon “Murder Alley,” where he offers you the painting at the extortionate price. It doesn’t matter what difficulty level you are running the dungeon on or whether you are doing it with players or NPCs.
However, to convince him that you are cursed, you need a total of 13 bad fortunes from fortune teller Sargle. You can either simply buy them in the auction house or farm them yourself.
To do this, you need to run the Murder Alley a total of 13 times and get a fortune each time. To receive them, you must find fortune teller Sargle, who you can find directly at the stairs to the first boss.
Once you have all 13 bad fortunes in your inventory, go back to Cravitz Lorent and he will offer you the absurdly expensive painting for significantly less gold.
The great advantage is: The fortunes are not consumed in the process – you can pass the items on to friends of your choice, and they can also benefit from the lower price without having to farm themselves.
But if you’re ambitious and absolutely want to buy the painting – no one will stop you – at the full price, as befits an art connoisseur, you will unfortunately have to find a way to get the necessary coins. Fortunately, MeinMMO demon Cortyn has put together some efficient ways for you to rake in plenty of gold: Farming gold in WoW Midnight – Here’s how to make good cash

A well-known leaker regularly shared predictions and impressions about Call of Duty, but that is now over. The developers are forcing him to stop his work and explain that even false leaks harm – especially to the fans.
He has now been forced to decide to stop spreading confidential information about Call of Duty.

Leaks confuse player expectations
How is Activision taking the leaker out of the race? In a post on X, the leaker “TheGhostOfHope” explains that he has been legally required by Activision to stop leaking and spreading confidential information. He is now complying with this request.
However, he still wants to discuss official information. According to his own statements in a comment on X, he loves this franchise and wants to continue to “chat” about it.
The forced exit is causing a stir in the community. The content creator TDAWG raises the question of whether the legal actions are proof that the leaker has always hit the mark with his information.
In a comment from the official “Call of Duty” account on X, the developers respond:
No. Even if leaks are false, they still harm the people working on the game and confuse player expectations.
Activision is apparently cracking down now to regain control over announcements regarding Call of Duty. They presumably want to prevent false hopes from arising among fans due to leaks, whether true or false, before the content is officially presented.
With the “Shrouded Sky” update, new map conditions were introduced in ARC Raiders. While these bring high-quality loot, they have already forced the developers to make adjustments as players were too good at collecting it.
The “Shrouded Sky” update not only brought a new project to ARC Raiders, but also new map conditions where weather plays a significant role. Hurricanes can appear as a new situation on the maps.
They gradually destroy your shields and make you shine like Thor in the storm when hit by flying debris. To remain undetected, many players now completely avoid wearing shields in these areas.
What’s up with the loot? The storms also reveal numerous Raider caches. These boxes can contain high-level materials as well as powerful blueprints. However, since the community has cleaned them out significantly, Embark had to adjust the drop rate of the contents from the caches within the hurricanes on March 3, 2026.
Start video
ARC Raiders shows new Hurricane condition and hints at a new enemy
Players were “damn good” at looting
This is what the developers say about the blueprints: In the official patch notes for patch 1.18.0, Embark explains that they have slightly lowered the drop rate for rare blueprints. This is primarily because the Raider caches contained an extremely high number of blueprints, and players were “damn good” at finding and looting them.
As compensation, the developers have increased the drop rate for high-tier materials in the caches. You will now receive fewer blueprints from the boxes, but more rare resources. The caches are still supposed to be a reliable source for blueprints, but no longer guarantee that you leave every round with a huge stack of them.
What else did the update bring to the game? Patch 1.18.0 also delivered important bug fixes. For instance, it was fixed that the snaphook could simply be put into the safety pocket while in use. A bug in the quest “Worth Your Salt” was also fixed.
The detailed English patch notes can be found here to expand:
Patch Notes for Patch 1.18.0
Exploit Fix: A bug was fixed that allowed players to store weapons without the “Safekeeper Augment” in their safety pocket (Safe Pocket).
Snaphook Fix: An issue was fixed where the Snaphook could be stored in the safety pocket while in use.
Loot Adjustment: The drop rate for rare blueprints (Blueprints) has been slightly lowered, while the drop rate for high-tier materials in the “First Wave Caches” (when active hurricane map condition) has been increased.
Developer Note: The main reason for this change is that the “First Wave Caches” had extremely high amounts of blueprints – especially since players are damn good at tracking them down and looting them. To balance this out, we are increasing the drop rate for high-tier materials in the caches. You will generally see slightly fewer blueprints, but will get better materials as compensation. The caches will remain a solid source for blueprints, but no longer to the extent that you can reliably leave every round with 3-5 pieces.
Hotfix: A very urgent fix for the “Dam Controlled Access Zone” has been added.
Performance: An issue was fixed where certain ARCs occasionally caused performance drops.
Quest Fix: A bug in the quest “Worth Your Salt” was fixed, where the last level could not be completed if someone else had already done so in the same raid.
Crash Fix: A rare crash was fixed that occurred when navigating to the “Player Proximity” menu.
In World of Warcraft: Midnight many heroes are currently searching for a very rare material: Petrified Roots. This resource is not easy to find, but if you are lucky enough to find one, it can quickly fill your pockets with gold.
Where is the best place to farm Petrified Roots? Anyone looking to farm Petrified Roots has plenty of options to obtain them. However, the best places to find them are the following:
The Depths: If you want to actively and securely obtain Petrified Roots, you should resort to the Delves. You will find them at the end in the reward chests – the harder the Depth, the higher the likelihood.
The Loot Hunts: Not certain, but worth a try are the loot hunts. Some players have reported that they found the plant there as a reward.
Heroic Dungeons, at the end of the activity. (Only with some luck and not officially confirmed.)
Of course, you can also rely on the auction house and buy the material with some gold, but we advise against it. The current prices are currently at exorbitant heights, and until the market settles down, you might as well search for the roots yourself.
Start video
WoW Midnight: Arator’s Light and the Firebrand
What do you need Petrified Roots for? This rare material is primarily needed in endgame crafting to further enhance your equipment. Additionally, the item is also part of various recipes. These include areas such as Jewelcrafting, Enchanting, Inscription, and Cooking.
At the beginning, heroes need the precious resource less, but as the release of endgame content such as raids and Mythic Dungeons approaches, they become essential in further upgrading your equipment. Therefore, many heroes are already diligently collecting the material to build up a supply.
Should you sell the resource? It depends on your need for gold and whether you like to dive into the fray with your guild on Day One of the raid. If you are not interested in that and really need the gold, you can sell the root for over 10,000 gold.
Keep in mind that, as mentioned, prices will continue to fluctuate the longer players have time to gather the resource. So if you want to resell the item profitably, you should do it in the next few days before the prices drop significantly.

Critical Role and Amazon Prime have announced the release date of the fourth season of The Legend of Vox Machina. MeinMMO editor Caro is actually looking forward to the continuation of the animated series, but the second series project of the D&D group is causing her to worry about the actually strong series.
When will the fourth season be released? After the end of the third season of The Legend of Vox Machina in October 2024, the animated campaign will finally continue on June 3, 2026 with the start of the fourth season. The story takes place one year after the battle with the Chroma Conclave: Vox Machina has gone their separate ways, searching for love, family, or their own destiny.
In the finale of the third season, a teaser for the upcoming threat was already shown. This will turn out to be an epic and particularly dangerous enemy, forcing the group back into a shared adventure. This threat is presented by Critical Role along with the release announcement in a short clip on YouTube.
As a Critter and animation fan, I am also very much looking forward to the continuation of Vox Machina. However, this anticipation feels a bit different than with the previous seasons. In 2025, Critical Role managed to impress me with their animated series of The Mighty Nein, even fully captivating me. And that is why I am so worried about the continuation of their first series success.

The Mighty Nein – First Sneak Peek of the New Fantasy Series on Amazon Prime
Critical Role learned from their weaknesses
When The Mighty Nein was announced, the Critical Role team already admitted that they are aware of their own weaknesses from Vox Machina. They were especially not satisfied with the pacing, which they wanted to improve with certain changes in The Mighty Nein.
Don’t get me wrong: The Legend of Vox Machina is an excellent and damn entertaining series. Not only do I think so, but many fans who gave the series full 5 stars on Amazon Prime and an 8.4/10 on IMDb also think so. However, the group stated in a conversation with Polygon that the pacing of the series has suffered a bit in some places.
The pacing issues that arise in transforming a streamed D&D campaign with hundreds of hours-long episodes into an animated series are understandably challenging. However, in The Mighty Nein, they are still addressing this by giving more space to important moments and character development, as well as including a Session Zero for even more depth and background.
The switch from The Mighty Nein to the format of Vox Machina makes me nervous, but not pessimistic
I was so convinced by the changes from Vox Machina to The Mighty Nein that I now worry about the opposite switch. The longer episodes of The Mighty Nein allowed for stronger moments and simply more room for the narrative to breathe. Now reverting back to shorter episodes gives me concern that the upcoming actions could be rushed again.
However, the transparent self-reflection from Critical Role shows that they are aware of this weakness. The already known series ending after the fifth season gives them a fixed framework in which they can better plan and conclude the story of the campaign.
A luxury they didn’t have in the first two seasons. Back then, it was still unclear whether there would even be more seasons. That makes planning correspondingly more difficult.
Whether they can now take their time due to the clear framework will ultimately be revealed on June 3 and in the following weeks. Then we will see if certain moments have been given the right and important weight.
Until the start of the fourth season of The Legend of Vox Machina, fans and the curious will have to wait a few more months. Many Critters may already know which threat the group will face in the fourth season. At this point, of course, we don’t want to spoil anything. If you want to learn more about the villains from Critical Role, we have listed the most powerful in our ranking on MeinMMO: 6 powerful villains from the campaigns of the most well-known Dungeons & Dragons group ranked

MeinMMO editor Caro initially stayed away from the shooter despite many praises about ARC Raiders. The interest was there, but she lacked the final push to give the game a chance. She has now found that push and rightfully deserves to be laughed at.
Since the release of ARC Raiders, I regularly come across things that successfully try to make the shooter appealing to me. Be it the design of the environments, the possibilities for PvPvE, or especially the funny clips from the community that show wild encounters and amusing moments from the game. Despite all this, I have managed so far not to succumb to yet another game in which I could invest too much of my free time.
So far, I have been able to stay strong and curb my interest. Even the loud and clear recommendations from the editorial staff were brushed off with “maybe someday”. Well, that “someday” has finally arrived.
With the “Shrouded Sky” update, the shooter, along with hurricanes and new enemies, also got a new, rather clumsy player named Caro, who finally succumbed to all the recommendations and dared to venture into the game. All that was missing was the final decisive shove. And I am still embarrassed about it.
An easy deck made me concede and install ARC Raiders. The Surgeon skin was just too cool.

ARC Raiders shows new Hurricane condition and hints at a new enemy
Gameplay can be nice and all, but I couldn’t resist the skin
It’s a bit embarrassing to admit that a cosmetic got me convinced about ARC Raiders, but that’s just what happened. It’s not even a prestigious skin like those found in other games, but a free cosmetic that doesn’t require spending real money.
Still, I was completely taken by the aesthetics of the skin, especially with the hood, the mask, and the rest of the medical nonsense (you can tell my absolutely competent expertise).
Being a wild surgeon fighting flying alien robots just sounded enticing.
Soon … soon I will have you completely.
Despite lacking success in the game, I encountered a lot of fun
The only problem was – who would have thought? – that I actually have to play and complete tasks if I really want to complete the skin.
My first rounds were, without trying to sugarcoat it, a pure disaster. During my first encounter with a speaking player, I fell into shock. I had no idea where to go, and some lucky players saw me as easy prey, just without any real reward while looting.
Still, after 2 miserable rounds, I encountered another raider who simply offered me a flute concert and occasionally pulled out a weapon to take down flying ARCs together with me. When we finally managed to extract, I was laughing out loud and knew: The game has hooked me.
Until I really understand how to collect credits effectively not just theoretically but also in practice, it will probably require a bit more practice. However, I am ready to learn and look forward to more cool skins and flute concerts.
The entry into Marathon is not easy. We will show you how to make the start easier with these tips.
Marathon has many confusing submenus, a ton of items and systems. You can quickly lose track and it takes some time to really understand how everything works. To make your start as easy as possible, we have put together a number of tips.
We start with some general tips that everyone should know before their first round in Marathon, followed by tips on loot, and we will conclude the list with some more advanced help.
[toc]
Bring enough ammunition
Don’t underestimate how much ammunition you’ll consume within a run. It is quite possible that even without intense PvP battles, you will waste 160 rounds in a raid – especially when completing missions that require you to fight UESC bots.
Crouching reduces your shell’s heat
Whenever you perform certain movement abilities, your runner shell accumulates heat. Once the heat capacity is depleted due to sprinting, sliding, or dashing, you have to wait briefly for your shell to cool down – similar to an endurance system in other games.
To dive back into action quickly in Marathon, it helps to crouch briefly. While crouching, you cool down accumulated heat faster.
The oldest trick in the shooter genre
If you need to rush for cover or have little time left before the targeted extraction point closes, you can sprint faster by taking out your knife.

Loot that is worth it in your first round
When you play your first rounds, you have no idea which loot is worth it, what materials you might need later, and what you should leave behind. However, there’s loot that you can practically never have enough of and should start collecting in your first rounds.
This includes:
Credits
Unstable biomass
Unstable diodes
Unstable gel
Unstable lead
It is also worth picking up valuables. For these, you will receive a set amount of credits after the raid. However, you should definitely pay attention to the value of the items. Rarer objects yield more credits. An individual valuable item that only gives 60 credits should preferably end up in the trash.
That’s why this loot is worth it: You will need credits and the various unstable materials for numerous upgrades and trades. So if you still have space in your backpack and don’t know which loot to keep, you can’t go wrong with these items.
Used shield charges and repair kits are not useless
In the server slam of Marathon, the scarcity of health items was a problem that many players criticized. Too often, you find yourself without shield charges or repair kits. If the scarcity of health items is not increased by the full release, it is advisable to pick up used shield and repair kits during your raids when possible.
The used health items are not empty and useless. You can use them to restore a small amount of health or shield charge. Instead of depleting your proper medical items, save them and use the used packs you find all over the maps in quiet situations first.
You can “craft” health items
If your reserves of health items are depleted, you can buy or “craft” new ones in the armory – although crafting isn’t quite the right term, as you are essentially trading them in.
This brings the unstable materials from the previous tip back into the spotlight: In the armory, you can trade repair kits for unstable biomass instead of buying them for credits.
Who is writing here? Dariusz is a die-hard shooter fan and has thousands of hours in various games. He plays everything the genre has to offer: Battlefield, Borderlands, Rainbow Six: Siege, Valorant, Destiny, Call of Duty, Warframe… If it has guns, Dariusz is there. This also applies to extraction shooters like ARC Raiders and Marathon, in which he has already spent over 20 hours and successfully completed numerous raids.
Consider early on which upgrades you want
With the factions, you can unlock various upgrades. Each faction essentially has its own skill tree allowing you to receive different improvements. For instance, there are expansions for your vault, faster looting, higher heat capacity (basically more stamina), or new weapons and equipment that you can then buy daily or even pick up for free.
As mentioned in tip 1, you will need certain resources for some of these upgrades, such as unstable diodes, credits, or unstable biomass. If you know which upgrades you want next, you can prioritize the needed items during your raids.
Additionally, for many upgrades, you must reach a certain level with the respective faction. To do this, it’s best to take on missions from that faction to increase your faction level.
Use item tracking
You can mark items and then track them in a raid, which will highlight them separately during a round when you find them while looting. This way, you ensure that you don’t forget which items you may need for the upgrade that you definitely want.
Avoid fall damage
If you enjoy playing the “assassin,” you can completely avoid fall damage by using the “shadow dive” trait. You use the shadow dive on PC with the default key binding by pressing the “V” key while in the air. Your character will then create a cloud of smoke upon landing and survive falls from great heights without injury.
Volt weapons should only be reloaded in emergencies
Volt weapons – those are the weapons with the oddly looking purple ammunition (volt batteries) – recharge while you run through the map with your runner shell. You should only reload these weapons when you don’t have time to wait for the weapon’s independent recharge. Each time you reload, you throw away a rechargeable battery and use up ammunition.
Defibrillators can hurt
The triage is the medic among the runner shells and not only can heal, but with his “ulti” can also revive downed teammates – it’s basically a heavy defibrillator. However, the support properties of the triage do not mean that it is useless for solo players: When he uses his “ulti” against enemies, he delivers an electric shock that deals decent damage.
Weapons have durability
Who hasn’t experienced this? You just took out an opposing player, loot their inventory, and see a powerful weapon that you want to pick up immediately. Often, you are willing to leave your own firearm behind if the trade seems reasonable.
In Marathon, this can become your downfall.
In Bungie’s extraction shooter, all weapons have a kind of durability that decreases when you steal another player’s weapon. If the durability of a weapon reaches 0, you will lose it when you extract from a raid. Instead of the weapon, you will only get credits.
Thus, each weapon has a fixed number of transfers and cannot be passed endlessly from player to player. Be mindful of this when looting your opponents.
Weapon tier depends on mods
In extraction shooters, you usually find weapons with different tiers. A rare purple weapon is usually better than one with a green or even gray tier.
In Marathon, however, the weapon tier depends on the installed mods. The mods consist of attachments like scopes or magazines.
This means that with the right attachments, you can upgrade a gray rifle to a green, blue, or even better weapon in Marathon. Every gun thus has the potential to significantly improve with good attachments.
You get skins when you extract with a sponsored loadout
A tip for all fashion runners: The factions reward you with skins when you finish a raid with a free loadout sponsored by them and successfully extract. These skins are usually in the colors of the faction and are awarded for the runner shell you used when you extracted.
Corpses remain visible if the murderer is still nearby
Dead players leave loot containers in Marathon that look like travel bags. When you see such a bag, you know that a player has died. The game also reveals more:
If there is only the travel bag with the loot, the murderer has already left
If the destroyed runner shell is still lying next to the travel bag on the ground, the murderer is still nearby.
Depending on how you find the destroyed runner shell, you can prepare for what awaits you and how you should proceed. This way, you can better assess whether you can calmly take a look in the bag or should be ready for a fight.
Marathon is set to receive its first season after the release, offering new content designed to entertain fans. When Season 1 starts and what content you can expect, you will find out here.
When does Season 1 start? The first season of Marathon, also known as “Death Is The First Step,” is set to take place immediately upon the Bungie blog post announcing the release of the extraction shooter. This will be on March 5. With Season 1, fans will have the opportunity to unlock new content, including runners, weapons, and implants. New maps and features will also be added.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect is the fact that all new content will be free for all players. No expansions or DLCs are required for this. Bungie also presents a small roadmap indicating what you can expect in the first season.

Bungie presents Marathon in the launch trailer
Content you can expect in Season 1
What are the biggest changes? Upon release, fans can expect a lot of content, but more will come when Season 1 starts. The following things are included:
A new zone: The Cryo Archive
The C.A.R.R.I. event
A new weapon
The ranked mode
Tuning for the mid-season (adjustments to the meta and more.)
New implants
However, when the content in Season 1 will be released is still unknown. Nevertheless, there is still quite a bit to read from the roadmap.
Here is the roadmap for Marathon, in case you want to see it:
What else can be seen in the roadmap? Bungie has planned a lot for future seasons. Season 2 is set to start in June and run until August. It will feature new gameplay mechanics, including “The Cradle,” as well as a new runner.
Season 3 will also happen, but only the start date is known for now. So expect that only in August. Aside from that, the roadmap is sure to excite fans, as they can hardly wait to explore the world of Tau Ceti.
What are fans most looking forward to? Fans are already discussing the upcoming release on Reddit. It is especially noticeable that they might soon have the chance to enter the orbit and the Marathon ship.
How and in what form that will happen is still a mystery, but Bungie has a talent for secrets. In Destiny 1 & 2, there were many mechanics that fans had to discover for themselves. IceEnigma suspects on Reddit that a community event will come where all runners have to work together to make their way to the ship.
However, Marathon is geared more towards PvP than ARC Raiders. The possibility that fans may have to lay down their weapons for an event to cooperate could create a new dynamic in the shooter. It remains exciting, as it seems Bungie has a lot planned behind the scenes to surprise its fans in the coming weeks.

Within less than 24 hours, people in dungeons of World of Warcraft are already complaining that it isn’t fast enough. Just like always.
When a new expansion of World of Warcraft launches, you can experience Azeroth once again through rose-colored glasses. Everything is beautiful, everything is new, and there is something to discover everywhere. But one thing remains the same – troublesome teammates in dungeons, who cause real stress on the very first day of the new expansion if you don’t play optimally. It’s actually absurd, but unfortunately, it’s a common occurrence.
Start video
WoW Midnight: Arator’s Light and the Firebrand
What’s going on in WoW? The new expansion has only been available for about 36 hours, but some seem to be falling back into their old routine of maximum preparation under immense time pressure. At least in the WoW subreddit, reports from players are already piling up of those who can’t stand the pace in dungeons, complaining about tanks or the low DPS of their teammates.
The current biggest post from StateComprehensive93 mentioned this already yesterday afternoon:
I have no idea why one has to harass other people in normal dungeons already. I have done three dungeons as a tank and in each of them, there was someone who felt the need to pull extra mobs, race ahead of the group, and complain about someone’s DPS. The expansion has only been live for 12 hours – can you chill a bit?
I understand that without M+, the mix of people currently playing is very diverse. But to rage in normal dungeons because we are not taking the optimal route and “losing” 10 seconds – that’s just not the right behavior, especially for new players and those who are just returning.

In response to this post, there is a lot of agreement – nearly 4,000 at the time of this article. Among them are also many comments from other players who have already had similar experiences.
“I was kicked as a tank because the others died to the totems that put a stackable health-point debuff on you. People are just bad and unbelievably stupid.” – shmoomoo12
“It’s wild. I had a tank who pulled all 4 nightmare mobs at once in Nalorakk’s den. Totems everywhere, I had to prioritize dispelling the tank and myself, everyone died. ‘Why is there no healing?’” – Quidplura
“These are just people who are bad at the game. After M+ starts, these are exactly those unbearable people who gather in +8 and insult each other for not making progress. I consider these people the true casuals, the tryhard losers of this game.” – AbzorTen
“I voted against kicking a tank because he ‘didn’t know how to tank.’ In my eyes, he was completely fine. Not everyone is like that, but unfortunately, the truth here may be simple – if something stinks, it might just be an asshole.” – Magnus1177
Cortyn says: I have absolutely no understanding for this behavior. If that happens in Mythic+, I can understand. It’s about a certain performance, pressure, and the required level of play is higher. But in normal dungeons in the first week, one should be above all: polite, friendly, and maybe take a deep breath.
Right now is the time when players are returning or starting anew with WoW. There is absolutely no need to complain about tanks or ‘bad DPS’ in normal dungeons this early. Today’s newcomers are your teammates of tomorrow – if nobody has scared them away by then. And then again, there will be complaints about the tank shortage.
However, it must also be said that luckily only a small part of the player base is so problematic. Most runs should go smoothly, but it is precisely those with negative experiences that tend to remain in poor memory.
An American talent manager for big Twitch streamers described in a blog post what is needed to succeed as a content creator. An inevitable strategy is what is known as viewbotting.
Who is the Twitch manager? In his blog post It is time to start viewbottingon X, talent manager Reed Duchscher talked about viewbotting on Twitch. Reed Duchscher manages some very successful American Twitch streamers.
These include Hasan Piker and Kai Cenat, among others. From 2018 to 2024, MrBeast was also one of the creators he managed. Additionally, Reed Duchscher is the head of the talent management company Night.
In the content creator scene, Reed Duchscher is well-informed. He has a clear opinion on viewbotting, as the title of his blog post suggested.
Start video
These are the 5 most relevant German streamers on Twitch in 2024, according to Google
Why shouldn’t you do it too?
How does Duchscher suggest to cheat? Reed Duchscher begins his post on X with the words What does it take to gain attention on the internet when everyone else is using bots – why shouldn’t you do it too?.
Duchscher is certain that good content alone is not enough nowadays. The market for content creators is saturated, so one has to resort to unfair means to draw attention.
The means: viewbotting. Twitch streamers looking to start a career should buy bots that then view their stream. This would artificially boost their viewer counts and make the streamers appear more successful than they actually are. Honest creators who do not use bots are automatically at a disadvantage, according to Duchscher.
Duchscher further states that viewbotting on Twitch is difficult to prove. Apart from sudden jumps in viewer counts, there are no reliable methods to prove viewbotting.
At the same time, Duchscher also notes that viewbotting is only a short-term survival strategy. In the long run, normalizing this behavior would undermine trust in the platforms.
In a subsequent post on X, Reed Duchscher clarified again that his statements do not imply that the currently big Twitch streamers have become so successful only because of viewbotting.
What is the problem with viewbotting? Viewbotting violates Twitch’s guidelines (source: help.twitch.tv).
High viewer numbers paint a more positive picture than reality actually reflects. This could mislead advertisers or deceive other potential viewers.
It also makes other Twitch channels that do not use viewbotting less visible on the platform. Only organically gained viewers contribute to a genuine community.
Twitch is actively trying to combat viewbotting with specific algorithms. In an X-post from July 2025, Twitch Support reinforced their approach: We recently made changes that have significantly improved our ability to identify viewbots, fake viewership numbers, and other potentially fraudulent interactions.
What are the reactions? In the comments under a post on X by Dexerto on the topic, there are some opinions. Ran states, for example, that viewbotting works because good content creators generally have difficulty getting discovered.
The German Twitch streamer Broeki mentioned in a post on X: It is already hard to build a viewer base in the current time if you are not extremely manipulative.
The Division 2 is currently massively discounted on Steam. But before you grab the cheapest version for €3, perhaps you should consider looking at another edition of the game.
What kind of game is this? The Division 2 is an open-world loot shooter from Ubisoft, where you shoot your way through a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. The capital of the USA had previously been struck by a deadly pandemic, with fatal consequences.
The old society has collapsed and now three armed criminal factions roam the streets. As an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division (SHD), it is your duty to rebuild the city and restore order.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the series, Ubisoft is giving the title a new game mode that significantly changes the loot shooter after all these years. And for those who do not yet have the game, you can currently save quite a bit of money on the purchase: Until March 12, 2026, The Division 2 on Steam costs only €2.99 if you only get the standard version of the game.
Here you can see the trailer for “Battle for Brooklyn,” the latest DLC for The Division 2:

For a little more money, there’s a noticeably better version
What other versions are available? Before you rush to grab the cheapest version for €2.99, you should take a look at the other editions. One of them might be worth even more to you, even if it costs a little more money.
For €8.99, you get the Gold Edition of The Division 2. This includes not only the base game but also the latest DLC, “Battle for Brooklyn,” but is especially worthwhile because of the expansion “Warlords of New York.”
The Ultimate Edition includes two DLCs and additional content packages for €13.99. A detailed listing of the contents can be found on the Steam page of the game.
“Warlords of New York” expands The Division 2 with a new game world. There, you experience a story about a rogue agent of the Division. He has taken control of Lower Manhattan with the support of four Warlords.
Furthermore, the expansion revamps the game’s progress system and expands the endgame. If you want to experience everything the expansion has to offer, you’ll be occupied for about 20 hours (according to howlongtobeat.com).
Is the DLC required for the new game mode? No, you do not need any of the DLCs to play the new Realism mode. While it is included in “Warlords of New York,” during the current season, all owners of The Division 2 can play it for free.

Crimson Desert: Info on MMO, Multiplayer, Coop, Mod Support and Crossplay
No, at least not at launch. It is currently unclear whether co-op or multiplayer elements will really come in the future. However, the developers believe it is conceivable to introduce such features after release if Crimson Desert is successful.
Kliff Macduff: The main character of the game is already known from the first trailers. Kliff is armed with a sword, shield, and bow but also performs “wrestling” moves and can cast elemental spells thanks to a magical bracelet. All of this makes him the perfect all-rounder.
Damiane: The fighter uses a two-handed claymore in battle but is still agile and relies on precise dodging. From a distance, she can also deal damage, using a handy pistol for that purpose.
Oongka: The muscle-bound character wields a huge axe and a cannon on his wrist, dealing massive damage. Oongka also loves to blow things up.
On your adventure, you recruit allies to help you achieve your goals. Pearl Abyss states on the official website of Crimson Desert:
On a dark, biting cold night, the Graymanes are attacked by their arch-enemies, the Black Bears. After a fierce struggle, many have fallen, and the survivors are scattered to the winds.
Kliff sets out to find his scattered companions and reclaim everything that was lost.
In the process, he encounters new allies, inescapable foes, and a mysterious power that operates in the shadows – realizing that trials of unprecedented scale and a tremendous fate await him.
Crimson Desert offers an open-world experience where you explore the medieval fantasy world Pywel, complete quests, solve puzzles, and fight against various opponents and tough bosses. There is also parkour gameplay awaiting you. You can climb along walls or up trees, reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed or Black Desert.
The game combines intense combat with many activities outside of combat. You can, for example:
Go fishing
Tame horses
Play the flute
Arm wrestle
Build your own farm
Engage in agriculture
…and very importantly: Pet cats and dogs!
The combat system is said to be tactically demanding and relies on combos like in a fighting game. It is also crucial to observe the movement patterns of enemies closely, dodge skillfully, and time your attacks correctly.
You have a diverse selection of weapons at your disposal, from swords and axes to pistols and mini-cannons. Through alchemy, you can also give your weapons special properties. Additionally, your various mounts like dragons, bears, or mechs assist in combat.
At gamescom, MeinMMO was able to try out Crimson Desert in a demo version. MeinMMO editor-in-chief Leya Jankowski and GameStar editor Jonas Gössling both took this opportunity and share their first impressions of Crimson Desert in the Gamestar Talk.

The data is collected at the beginning of the year in January/February. According to the last survey, the number of homeless people is around 770,000 (via BBC.com).
New Villa on an Exclusive Luxury Island, where people like Jeff Bezos already have a house
Where is the new, expensive villa located? The new residential area is well-known among billionaires, as the villa is situated on the private island Indian Creek, which some have sarcastically dubbed the “Billionaire Bunker.” The island also gained notoriety due to the fact that it does not have its own sewage system and preferred to send the waste to the neighbors.
How much money is that anyway? Nearly 150 million euros sounds like a lot of money, but it hasn’t been the most expensive villa so far. According to the Wall Street Journal, this purchase sets a new record for Miami Dade County and ranks among the most expensive purchases in the USA, but is still surpassed:
Gordon Pointe, Naples (Florida) is being offered for 295 million USD, but the purchase price includes three villas, a marina, and 500 meters of private beach.
Little Lake Lodge, Aspen (Colorado) is listed for around 300 million USD.
924 Bel Air Rd., California: Costs are at 250 million USD.
For a similar amount of money, 150 million euros, the television channel RTL bought the pay TV channel Sky in 2025. Compared to the massive Netflix-Warner-Paramount deal, which is supposed to cost over 80 billion, it seems almost cheap.
