The rough Crucible issues from the past weeks seem to be over: “Destiny servers being contacted” issues repeatedly occurred along with maintenance. Now the Crucible is sailing in calm waters again. Nothing stands in the way of the weekly PvP event “Trials of Osiris”.
You can also view them as good preparation for the upcoming monthly PvP event, the Iron Banner in July, which starts next week on Tuesday.
The Trials of Osiris will kick off today at 7 PM on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. They will end on July 19th at 11 AM with the weekly reset. The match will be played on the map Twilight Gap.
What are the Trials of Osiris?
In the Trials, you compete in teams of three against each other. Your goal is to eliminate all three opposing guardians to claim victory. With wins, you fill your points card. If you achieve a “flawless” ticket, you win a trip to Mercury, where you can let some really good loot flow from the chest.
With 5 and 7 wins, you will receive Osiris items as a reward. Don’t forget to fulfill the bounties with Brother Vance to receive additional rewards.

Besides catching Pokémon, visiting PokéStops is essential in Pokémon GO. At these locations, you receive items such as potions or revives, which will greatly assist you on your adventures. You also get Poké Balls as rewards at PokéStops. Therefore, if you do not want to spend money in the shop for the balls, it’s important to regularly visit these PokéStops to fill your inventory.
Finding PokéStops
As you wander the map of Pokémon GO as a Pokémon Trainer, you will notice blue markers, depending on your location. A blue marker on the map indicates that there is a PokéStop at this location. These stops are often located at popular places such as churches, monuments, or historically interesting sites.
If you click on this PokéStop, you will find out if you are really within its range – or not. If not, you will receive a message under the PokéStop symbol indicating that you are not within range of the stop. If you are in range, you can spin the coin with the image of the PokéStop to receive your rewards. These rewards fly in small bubbles across your screen. By tapping, you pop the bubbles and secure the loot contained within.
PokéStops have a cooldown time of about 5 minutes and can be activated again afterwards. An already activated PokéStop will be shown in purple on the map. During your lunch break, you can comfortably camp at such a spot and replenish your collection of Poké Balls, eggs, or other useful items.

Since the game is still in the initial phase, there may be changes in the future. This is the current list of items you can receive as rewards at a PokéStop:
Revive – If one of your Pokémon faints in a gym battle, it will be brought back to life by the revive and also receive half of its maximum health points.
Berry – An item you can use when you want to catch a wild Pokémon. The berry makes the wild Pokémon easier to catch.
Lucky Egg – A lucky egg is a usable item that grants you double experience for 30 minutes. In our Pokémon GO experience guide, you can see how to use the lucky egg effectively.
Poké Ball – One of the most common rewards from a PokéStop. With these balls, you can catch wild Pokémon.
Potion – This item can be used to restore the health points of a wounded Pokémon.

Why do I only get eggs and balls as rewards from PokéStops in Pokémon Go?
Until you reach level 5, you usually only receive Poké Balls and eggs as rewards. Later, you will also receive the other listed items.
The social factor of PokéStops
PokéStops help you save money, as frequent visits to the stops mean you don’t have to buy items for PokéCoins in the in-game shop. It is especially beneficial if you meet as a group at a PokéStop and use a lure module there. A lure module attracts wild Pokémon to a PokéStop. All trainers at the PokéStop benefit from it when only 1 trainer uses the module, as everyone can catch these wild Pokémon. Warning: In the USA, robbers used this module to lure unsuspecting trainers.
In a group with 3 other friends, you can attract and catch Pokémon for 2 hours if each of you only buys 1 module. Playing in a group is particularly worthwhile here. Because PokéStops are already frequented by many player groups (especially in big cities), it is possible that these locations could be used for the planned trading system in Pokémon GO.

This adorable little creature can evolve into three different forms and thus become a particularly strong monster. The three evolutionary forms are:
All three Pokémon are very strong, but how does the evolution of Eevee proceed? Are there ways to influence and manipulate this? Three major theories are currently circulating on this topic.
Eevee Evolution – Theory 1 – Teamwork
A very common and plausible theory regarding the evolution of an Eevee is that the Pokémon’s evolution is related to the team affiliation of the player. The yellow Jolteon would be for Team Instinct, the blue Vaporeon for Team Wisdom, and the red Flareon for the members of Team Valor. Thus, the respective creatures would exist ONLY for the members of the corresponding teams.
Eevee Evolution – Theory 2 – Special Attacks
A slightly more complex theory suggests that an Eevee evolves into a different form depending on its learned special attacks. Eevee has three to choose from, and depending on whether you teach it one of them, it will evolve into the elemental form associated with that attack:

Even weirder is the last major Eevee evolution theory. According to this idea, the evolution of the creature depends solely on in which location area you give Eevee the command to evolve. The locations of Pokémon species are all assigned to a type, which correspond to the potential elements:
Flareon (Fire): Residential areas and settlements
Vaporeon (Water): Swimming pools, lakes, and rivers
Jolteon (Electric): Industrial areas and factories

All three theories sound plausible, but apparently none of them really holds true. As emerges from a lively discussion on Reddit , the evolution of Eevee seems to be completely left to chance. So far, none of the theories has been confirmed, and some users have even made contrary experiences. It is probably best to catch as many Eevees as possible and just evolve them until you get your desired Pokémon. Since Eevees only need 25 candies for evolution, this should go quite quickly, and no matter which evolution you get, they are all strong!
