The MMORPG ASTA will soon discontinue its service. We will tell you when the lights go out and why.

Many sites and players repeatedly proclaim that the great dying of MMORPGs has already begun. And indeed: Now another participant is disappearing from the scene. The colorful and classically designed MMORPG Asta has not managed to retain enough players over a long period of time.
As a consequence of the dwindling player numbers, the servers will be permanently shut down on October 4, 2016.
Since the announcement, purchases in the shop can no longer be made. Those who are still playing will receive a significant boost in XP and rare items will drop more frequently from enemies. These bonuses will remain active until the end of the title.
The developers say:
“Many of you have accompanied us for a long time, from the internal beta to the open beta and through several expansions. Thanks to your support, we thought we might be successful. Unfortunately, we were wrong. The players we have are fantastic, and every development team would be happy to have such an engaged community, but unfortunately, the current player numbers are not enough to continue offering our service. After some discussions with Polygon Games, we concluded to discontinue our game’s service on October 4.”
“Although we are sad to take this course, we want to improve the situation for our current players a bit: All Wcoin spent in the last 30 days will be refunded, and the players who have supported us the most will receive item packages in our other games; details will follow at a later date.”
