In the MMO shooter Destiny, the Trials of Osiris start today, on January 13th. On which map do the Trials take place?
Next week, the January Iron Banner begins, the big monthly PvP event in Destiny. In advance, you can prepare in the Trials and warm up your PvP weapons. The Trials start this evening at 6 PM and end nine hours before the “Iron Banner” starts on Tuesday.
However, the Trials of Osiris are a completely different challenge: While numerous PvP enthusiasts dare to enter the Iron Banner and come out with plenty of good loot, only the best of the best succeed in the Trials. Only with a full scorecard will you receive a trip to the Lighthouse, where the chest with the delicious loot awaits.
This week, you are playing the Trials of Osiris on the map Floating Gardens.
What are the Trials of Osiris?
In the Trials, you engage in exciting PvP battles in the “Elimination” mode. You compete in teams of three and try to fill your scorecard with victories. When the opposing team is completely defeated, you win a round. Fallen team members can be revived. Here, it’s not just about strong gear, but also about communication among the Guardians. A good knowledge of the map is advantageous.
At 5 and 7 victories, you receive random rewards from Osiris’s inventory. Additionally, you should keep an eye on Brother Vance’s bounties for extra bonuses. If you’re in top form, you can earn a “flawless” ticket to the Mercury and loot the chest with the fine loot there.
Good luck in the Trials, Guardians.
The Agent of the Nine is here! Xur will be adjusted next week with an update. In his last appearances, he had adventurous offers. What Xur has this week, you can read here.

In the fight against hackers in Overwatch , Blizzard Korea has now banned many accounts using aimbots and “nuking”.
Blizzard Korea has now disclosed the ban numbers from recent weeks and months. Overall, more than 10,000 accounts have been denied access to Overwatch. During the last ban wave alone, almost 8,000 accounts were banned for using forbidden third-party software of the game.
Complaints have been heard
Korean players often complained on forums or Reddit about the mass of cheaters. A few days ago, Reddit user BuOngE, stated that he would stop playing Overwatch. The reason for this is the many aimbot users who are not banned. He says that these players are regularly seen in ranked games. Because they are not punished, they exploit cheats in the game.
In South Korea, there is even a law that the creation and distribution of programs is illegal if they violate the game’s terms of service. Nevertheless, the many hackers have not been brought under control.
Nuking refers to a specific type of DDoS attack. The problem with nuking is that if a player in an internet cafe is affected, the attack spreads to the entire internet cafe. As a result, all players connected to the affected IP experience lags or disconnects.
If an opponent team plays together in an internet cafe, the whole team can be removed from the game with Nuking. This gives hackers advantages and quick victories in Overwatch.
In the meantime, Blizzard has apparently found a solution to at least detect a portion of the aimbot software. How effective the cheat detection is will probably be seen in the coming weeks or months when more accounts are banned.
In The Division we examine the named submachine gun Tommy Gun. This has been in the game since 1.5.
The 1.5 update introduced four new named weapons in The Division, including two submachine guns: The Tommy Gun and the Thompson M1928. Both SMGs come with the same fixed talent and they look quite similar. However, the Tommy Gun is the significantly better weapon. Why is that?
Tommy Gun
How to get the Tommy Gun – Location
The new named weapons from 1.5 are not easy to obtain: You need a lot of luck for them to drop. While you can grab the Thompson from Underground containers, you have to venture into the Dark Zone for the Tommy Gun. This can come from DZ supply drops.
Possible sources are also survival crates and the mission performance containers, which you earn with experience points.
Thompson
Differences between Tommy Gun and Thompson M1928
Both SMGs come with two random talents and the fixed talent Carefree: This increases hip fire damage by 11%. The optimal range of the submachine guns is identical and the reload speed is similar.
There are significant differences in base damage, rate of fire, and magazine size. The Thompson deals more damage per shot, but the Tommy Gun has significant advantages in fire rate and magazine size:
The weapons can hardly be upgraded with mods. The Tommy Gun has only one slot for a magazine mod. Since both SMGs are quite unstable, it’s frustrating that no mods can counteract this disadvantage.
In a graphic displaying the damage over time of SMGs, it is clear: The Tommy Gun is the better weapon. It deals more damage per magazine:
Is the Tommy Gun worth it in PvE and PvP?
The talent Carefree favors an offensive close combat style. At greater distances, hip fire is hardly useful, as the bullets of the Tommy Gun erratically fly around. However, if you engage opponents up close, it also means high risk.
However: Even blind fire – meaning shooting from cover without shouldering the weapon – counts as “hip fire,” activating the talent. If you are in cover and an enemy approaches, the talent becomes practical.
Nevertheless, you don’t want to run straight into enemies in most PvE situations just to be able to take them out with hip fire. The usefulness of Carefree is therefore quite limited. In PvP, on the other hand, you often find yourself in scenarios where you are fighting against other agents at close range.
Interesting combinations for the Tommy Gun are the outstanding AlphaBridge set to gain additional talents on the weapon, or this powerful D3-FNC build. This set allows you to wield an SMG with the ballistic shield. And with the shield, you can get close to the enemies!

Conclusion: In some situations, the Tommy Gun can shine, but it is by no means a top-tier weapon.
Once, SMGs were the dominant weapon class: Almost every agent ran around with an AUG or a Vector before 1.4. Currently, SMGs are hardly worth it, which we discuss in the linked article. But who knows, maybe the 1.6 update will improve submachine guns again.
Do you have the Tommy Gun in your possession? What do you think of it?

The survival RPG Conan: Exiles is full of dangers. These include the creatures that make your life difficult. The developers of Conan Exiles have presented the dangers in a Dev Blog.
During your travels through the Exiled Lands, you will not only encounter peaceful animals. The area is crawling with dark creatures that want to get you. Since you start without weapons, it means you should first avoid the larger monsters to kill the smaller critters. This way, you will not only get food but also resources to craft weapons and armor. With that, you will then dare to confront the more dangerous creatures.
Exploding Enemies
Not only do you have hunger in the game, but also the crocodiles lurking by the riverbanks. Even demons and humans corrupted by corruption need food – and that’s where you come in. So proceed with caution, because some monsters have a literally explosive temperament. They will chase you and then explode near you. You can eat the meat of killed demons, but it is not very nutritious. Therefore, you should look for gazelles and antelopes in the steppes. However, hyenas often stalk around them in packs, not handing over their prey without a fight.
Further inland, you will encounter rhinoceroses and ostriches. These are generally peaceful but will defend themselves when attacked, which can be particularly dangerous with the strong rhinoceroses. Together with other players, you have a better chance of hunting the animals. The further north you travel in the Exiled Lands, the more dangerous the creatures become. Huge spiders and scorpions will attack you immediately, but they are also a source of valuable resources and the important wound secretions. In the sand lurk giant locusts that are extremely toxic but also provide the basis for self-made poisons.
Undead in the Nameless City
In the center of the desert, you can finally explore the ruins of the Nameless City. This was destroyed ages ago by powerful wizards. Here lurk undead, giant bats, stone-forged melt beasts, and rumored even a dragon. However, the Nameless City also holds valuable treasures. You choose when and how to venture into the depths of the Exiled Lands in the RPG Conan: Exiles.
A screenshot with legendary loot at WoW caused a lot of commotion. Blizzard states that the image is a fake or the loot is bugged.
Legendary items in World of Warcraft are currently an important topic. Recently, it became known that even Blingtron 6000 can provide you with legendary items. This additional chance for legendaries was not well-received by all players. E
some players questioned whether these items should even still be called “legendary” when there are more and more ways to obtain them. An even greater outcry was caused by a screenshot that supposedly proves that you can even fish legendary items.
Legendaries from the water: Bug or fake?
When it became known that legendary items can also drop from Blingtron 6000, the WoW community on Reddit took notice. A new thread quickly garnered a lot of attention. This thread shows a screenshot in World of Warcraft from player Kristiansund. This player wants to highlight with the screenshot that he received the legendary trinket Archimonde’s Hatred Reborn as loot while fishing.
While many news sites jumped directly on this find, there was more skepticism about this information on Reddit. Would Blizzard really go so far as to throw legendary items into the water so that players with fishing skill 2 have a chance to pull something so valuable out of the water?
Reddit user andwithdot took a close look at the screenshot. He noticed details that seemed contradictory.
It stated in the WoW Armory that the character Kristiansund found the item 18 hours before posting the screenshot. However, the in-game calendar shows January 12, which could only have been about 6 hours prior to the Reddit post.
Furthermore, andwithdot found in the WoW Armory that Kristiansund received the legendary Archimonde’s Hatred Reborn before defeating Cenarius. However, the quest log (right in the image) shows the Cenarius quest as already completed. After this detective work and help from Blizzard, the story could be clarified.
The Confession
To confirm that this is a deliberate feature by Blizzard, an inquiry was made in the official WoW forum. In a blue post, community manager Aerythlea stated that Blizzard also believes the screenshot to be a fake. It was clarified that fish schools do not have legendaries as loot. Therefore, according to Blizzard, the loot in the screenshot must be a fake or a bug in the system.
Shortly thereafter, Kristiansund also spoke on this topic in the forum. He writes that this screenshot is indeed a fake. With the image, he wanted to prove something to a friend.
He did not expect this fake to cause such a stir. He also hopes that no other player spent hours fishing due to the image trying to find a legendary.
So it was fisherman’s tales: You cannot fish a legendary in WoW.
EA is working on a FIFA game for the new console Nintendo Switch.
On March 3, Nintendo’s new console hybrid hits the shelves: Nintendo Switch. This device can be used as a home console and as a handheld. Mobility and the social aspect are in the foreground.
The exciting question remains: Which games will be released this year for the Switch, and can they convince the customers? EA provides an answer to the former question.
FIFA on the go
At the press conference for the Nintendo Switch, EA’s Patrick Söderland announced that a FIFA title for the Switch is in development. This game is expected to be released later this year. An official name for FIFA on the Switch has not yet been announced.

It is still unknown whether FIFA 17 will receive Switch support, whether it is a standalone Switch game, or whether FIFA 18 represents the announced game.
Due to the special features of the Switch and the online service, it will be possible to play this FIFA online on the go. According to Söderland, it will be the most social and authentic sports game ever on Nintendo. It is meant to deliver an experience tailored to the Switch. The social features will be utilized.
More information will follow throughout the year.
By the way, since FIFA 15, there have been no FIFA games on a Nintendo console. EA Sports essentially boycotted the Wii U and refused to produce for this console. Now, EA and Nintendo apparently found each other again.
In Destiny, we take a look at the exotic pulse rifle Bad Juju. Is it useful in Year 3?
At the beginning of Year 1, the pulse rifle Bad Juju was regarded as too weak. Players used Suros Regime or Hawkmoon, but hardly anyone occupied the valuable Exotic slot with Bad Juju. Over the months, the weapon was patched repeatedly until it became an excellent weapon in PvP.
Even in Year 3, pulse rifles are often seen in the Crucible – but others than Bad Juju. How does Bad Juju fit into the current meta?
How to Obtain Bad Juju
In Year 1, there was a quest specifically for the weapon: “Toland’s Legacy.” In the current third year of Destiny, you have to earn Bad Juju in different ways:
Bad Juju is a rapid-fire pulse rifle. Not quite as fast as, for example, the Grasp of Malok, but just one step above. The Outbreak Prime is, by the way, another exotic pulse rifle that belongs to the same archetype as Bad Juju. “Bad Juju” has good stability, but lacks range, aim assist (60), reload speed, and magazine size. Compared to the “Year 1” version, stability has been increased by four points:
The Exotic comes with three fixed perks:
Cursed Follower: The weapon reloads immediately after each kill and temporarily does more damage. Kills charge the Super.
Fully Automatic: You can fire the weapon in fully automatic mode.
Hip Fire: Additional precision when firing from the hip.
Sentinel: Increased range and precision, reduced ammunition capacity.
With Soft Ballistics, Smooth Ballistics, and Drift Control, you can influence impact, recoil, and range.
The idea behind Bad Juju is to keep the enemies under constant fire while quickly reaching your Super.
What is Bad Juju Worth in PvE and PvP?
Bad Juju is not as strong as it used to be in its prime, but it is still a good choice.
In PvE, Cursed Follower is a great perk: this allows you to quickly eliminate hordes of enemies, and thanks to fully automatic mode, you can keep your finger relaxed on the trigger. The problem is, however, that there are strong alternatives for the Exotic slot. If you don’t yet own Bad Juju, you should definitely give this weapon a try. Xur currently has it available.
Frontier Developments has released a new update 2.2.03 for the space online game Elite: Dangerous on PC and Xbox One, which brings a lot of changes, including to Powerplay.
In addition to numerous adjustments to balancing and other game elements, the developers have also focused on Powerplay this time. This is a faction system in which a constant power struggle between the parties takes place for control of the galaxy. You choose a faction, called Power in the game, and ensure that it gains as much power as possible.
Adjustments to Powerplay and more
The adjustments that have now been introduced for Powerplay with the current update include, among other things, pirates who must now also belong to a faction. Mergers are also now possible. A list of all changes and adjustments – not just in Powerplay – can be found on the official website of Elite: Dangerous. However, it is a very extensive list!
Shield Boosters Stay
Regarding the controversial feature of shield stacking and changes to armor, the developers explain that this has been a test from the beginning. Since the majority of the community has reacted positively, they want to keep the feature and further develop and adjust it in the future.
Meanwhile, players are searching for the mysterious aliens that occasionally appear in the galaxy, pulling players out of hyperspace and scanning ships. There is wild speculation about what might be planned for these aliens in the online game Elite: Dangerous in the future.
Is the item an upgrade for the character in WoW or not? A small addon saves a lot of work.
Anyone who wants to achieve more in Azeroth than just completing a few heroic or mythic dungeons will sooner or later be confronted by their raid leader with the task of taking care of their character more. So, one cannot avoid reading some guides about their class to find out which items are the best and which attributes suit their specialization the best.
Wouldn’t it be a dream if World of Warcraft directly displayed for each item whether and how much a specific item is better compared to the current equipment? With a small addon, that is exactly possible.
WoW: The addon Pawn helps you to optimize your character
The interface modification “Pawn” (here’s the link for download at Curse) is a powerful tool that takes on a significant part of the work by itself. If you don’t want to deal with details, you can simply install the addon, and the benefits will be immediately visible in the game. Whenever an item drops, a small arrow will indicate on the icon and in the tooltip whether the item is an upgrade – and if so, how good it is.
Pawn has its own weighting of different attributes and also takes sockets and tertiary attributes (like life steal) into account. If desired, one can look in the Pawn menu (just type “/pawn” in the chat) to see which values are most significant for their specialization. In the following example, for the Shadow Priest:
Higher numbers mean a higher weighting. In the example of the Shadow Priest, the order for the secondary attributes would be Crit > Haste > Mastery > Versatility. Generally, you can leave it be – Pawn automatically calculates these values for each item.
If desired, you can make further modifications in the settings or even change the weighting of individual attributes completely. It can also be worthwhile to check what would be an upgrade for all specializations at once – so you always keep an eye on the off-spec.
The addon is based on the database of AskMrRobot. If you want to dive even deeper into the subject, you can browse the corresponding website for more detailed simulations and values.
Nintendo presented the Nintendo Switch last night and provided information about the price, release, and hardware of the console. Here is an overview.
Nintendo introduced the Nintendo Switch during a live stream yesterday. This is a hybrid console and the seventh major console from Nintendo. Some information about the hardware – but not all – has been revealed.
Release Date and German Price of the Nintendo Switch
Date: The Nintendo Switch will be released worldwide on March 3, 2017.
The Switch is a console hybrid. You will be able to carry it like a Nintendo DS, but also use it like a home console with the Switch dock on the TV.
The package includes the console with screen, two Joy-Controllers, the holder for the controllers, a docking station, a power adapter for charging via USB-C, and an HDMI cable.
This is what the Nintendo Switch includes
The console is available in versions with gray Joy-Con controllers or with red-blue coloring.
It is possible to remove the Switch from the docking station at any time while the game continues to run in handheld mode.
The effect can be well observed in this “Nintendo Switch” trailer. Here, players are shown casually “switching” between games on the TV and handheld.
Here you can find an overview of the hardware of the Nintendo Switch with the technical details.
The Screen
In handheld mode, you have a screen (6.2 inches) with a video quality of 720p. Additionally, the handheld Switch has a touchscreen.
The resolution at the dock is Full-HD (1,920 x 1,080).
Battery Life
The Switch is said to have a battery life of up to 6 hours, but may vary depending on software and usage conditions. “Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” is reportedly playable for 3 hours according to Nintendo. You can charge the handheld Switch while playing with an existing AC adapter.
Storage Capacity
The Nintendo Switch will have a storage capacity of 32GB (internal storage) and can be expanded with a MicroSDXC card.
The Controllers – Prices
The Nintendo Switch comes with detachable Joy-Controllers. Additionally, there is the Pro Controller. The small Joy-Controllers can be removed from the side of the handheld.
Pro Controller: 69.99 Dollars

MMO shooter The Division is entering its challenging second year. We ask: What do you wish and expect from the shooter?
Last March, The Division was released, an MMO shooter set in the disillusioned world of Tom Clancy. Since then, a lot of blood has flowed down the streets of New York. The shooter faced rough waters but seems to have made it through the worst.
With 1.6 and the DLC “Last Stand”, Year 1 for The Division will soon come to an end. In the coming weeks, the PvP will be changed once again.
But we are looking a bit further ahead: Year 2 is already on the agenda. At least there are hints that it won’t end after Year 1. How Massive and Ubisoft plan to shape Year 2 is still unknown.
Competitor Destiny only truly shone in Year 2 with the major expansion “The Taken King” and became the game many had hoped for. Perhaps The Division will also experience a surge in its tricky second year? What do you think does The Division need for that?
Maybe collect champion points like in The Elder Scrolls Online?
Schuhmann says: I wish for more story and story missions – I would also welcome an expansion of the map. Fresh weapons and armor – that too, of course.
“More content!” is always right and important in any MMO.
Other than that, I think The Division, as it is now, is already a lot of fun and works well. The question is, what do you do when you reach the end of the item progression and can no longer look forward to new, better items every day? It becomes a bit dull.
Perhaps an “alternative progression” could be introduced, as The Elder Scrolls Online did with champion points, to allow players to make progress with their agents and better tailor them to their playstyle.
I am not a fan of proper raids in The Division. The game’s concept and character design would need to change radically for them to work properly. Raids require the Holy Trinity of tank, healer, and DPS – or no possibility of tanking and healing like in Destiny, which would require different game mechanics.
The Holy Trinity is so rudimentary in The Division that raid design would likely be quite challenging. I doubt that raiding would be fun.
A major new story for The Division
Perhaps a major story expansion like Destiny is just what The Division needs right now. In the first year, the story about the rogue agents and the desperate situation of the besieged city opened up options that now feel a bit told out. The problem is, Year 1 was about averting the catastrophe, and that seemed to have worked. The peak was reached with the death of Bliss, the last of the major faction leaders. What else is there to come?
Now perhaps a new threat needs to be established that feels cohesive and lasts a bit longer. The sprinkled DLCs have thus far felt rather piecemeal.
What ideas do you have for the second year of The Division?

This morning, Nintendo announced the price, launch date, and a game lineup for the upcoming console Switch. While no MMOs were announced yet, could that even be conceivable?
The Nintendo Switch is an interesting console. A handheld that can also function as a regular home console when docked. Players are flexible, can remove the device from the dock, and continue playing on the go. We have already speculated about, whether there could also be MMORPGs on the Switch and today we delve a bit more into this thought.
The performance would allow MMORPGs
The Switch has enough power to run modern games. For example, Bethesda will release The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim for the device. So why not also MMOs?
Many MMOs do not feature AAA graphics for performance reasons – and to reach more players. The Switch could theoretically handle this. A problem arises with the controls and communication with other players. Text chat is still widespread today alongside voice chat via a headset. Voice chat wouldn’t be a problem on the Switch, but typing messages is more difficult with a controller.
The touchpad could help here. A keyboard could be displayed on it, and you can simply type what you want to say. This touchscreen would generally simplify the control of an MMO with many icons, windows, and so on. However, only when using the device as a handheld. When the Switch is docked, the screen is deactivated, and controlling an MMORPG with the regular controllers becomes challenging again. Challenging, but not impossible, as successful console MMOs like The Elder Scrolls Online, Neverwinter or Star Trek Online demonstrate.
Just play an MMO outside
Playing an MMO in the garden in nice weather or simply continuing in the bus or train when you have to be on the move is very appealing. Guild meetups in “real life” where everyone plays with their Switch would also be interesting. It would make discussions simpler, meeting up, and having fun together. However, as the battery lasts only 2.5 to 6.5 hours, it might be a bit challenging for raids. It should also be noted that the online features of the Switch will become paid. Therefore, a multiplayer game played over the internet will cost extra, similar to the Xbox Live subscription.
The question is how MMO players will react to the Switch. Would this really be a console where you could envision MMOs? Being able to continue playing an online RPG on the go is certainly very interesting, but would players use this feature often?
What do you think? Would the Switch be a console for you to play an MMORPG? Even on the go?
The changes to D.Va in Overwatch are not liked by everyone. The developers explain the latest nerfs.
Currently, some changes are being tested on the public test realm (PTR) of Overwatch. The Korean D.Va has been hit particularly hard in her mech. Not only must she endure a slight reduction in damage, but in the future, she will take much more damage than before. The reason for this is that Blizzard has decided to convert 200 armor into 200 health points.
What sounds like a small issue for many has massive implications in the game. Armor reduces the damage taken by up to 50%, but never more than 5 points per shot. This makes armor particularly effective against weapons with high spread and fast firing rates – such as Reaper’s shotguns or Tracer’s pistols.
Geoff Goodman explained in the official forum what they were thinking with the changes:
“The game is much healthier when heroes have strengths and weaknesses against other heroes. As she [D.Va] previously was, you often heard people asking “What do we do against D.Va?” Most would then try to use Zarya or Roadhog, as both have the potential for high damage and can bypass her defensive matrix, but those were only marginal answers.
Heroes like Reaper, who are actually good at taking down tanks, were not very effective because of all the armor they had to get through first. With lower armor, she now has several counters and is still able to counter many heroes and abilities in the game itself – especially since we didn’t touch her defensive matrix.”
You can find the complete post by Goodman in our sources.
Patch 7.1.5 for World of Warcraft brought a lot of class changes. We have summarized the key new features at a glance instead of the German patch notes.
Patch 7.1.5 of World of Warcraft has significantly shaken up class balance. Although the goal was for all classes to be more balanced, it will surely take several days and weeks for players to get accustomed to all the changes. We have briefly summarized the most important changes for all classes. German patch notes for the class changes are not yet available two days after the patch. Therefore, we summarize the highlights.
Please note that secondary attributes in patch 7.1.5 have been significantly altered. Most class changes are thus buffs, which relative weakens some secondary stats. Just because it says here that an ability does 15% more damage, does not mean that the “absolute damage” in the game increases. It can look quite different due to other changes outside of these class changes.
Death Knight
PvE: Almost all areas have seen improvements for Death Knights. Blood Death Knights now have enhanced self-healing, and the damage of Frost and Unholy Death Knights has been increased.
PvP: Blood Death Knights now deal 10% less damage in PvP – previously it was 15%. So, a slight increase.
Demon Hunter
PvE: Things are also looking good for Demon Hunters. The damage of almost all abilities has been increased, and Tanks are now a bit more resilient, as more mitigation is already included in their passive bonuses.
PvP: Both specializations now deal more damage. Havoc benefits from improved and new talents that allow dealing percentage-based damage to enemies.
Druid
PvE: Especially Moonkins will be pleased with massive buffs to their abilities, making them more useful in raids, but Feral Druids also benefit from these buffs. For Tanks, the values shift only slightly, while for Healers, almost everything remains unchanged.
PvP: Guardian Druids have received numerous new talents and now deal slightly more damage in PvP while taking less damage.
Hunter
PvE: All Hunters now have access to traps again, and all specializations benefit from buffs to their abilities – especially Survival Hunters, who have been buffed by 12% across all abilities.
PvP: Shorter cooldowns for all Hunters and a slight reduction in damage for Survival Hunters in PvP – this primarily affects their traps.
Mage
PvE: Mages can rejoice, as the damage of all spells has been increased by nearly 12% – for Fire, it is even a remarkable 27%. Additionally, all specializations now have their own shields with different effects, tailored to the respective spec.
PvP: Only Frost Mages have been slightly nerfed, as a talent of Ice Lance has been toned down.
Monk
PvE: Brewmasters are now even better tanks as they can absorb magic damage more effectively. Overall, the damage of all abilities has been increased by 8-9%, and Healers are pleased with reduced cooldowns.
PvP: Shorter cooldowns and lower chi costs for Windwalkers are on the agenda. Otherwise, Brewmasters see some talent changes that slightly reduce their survivability.
Paladin
PvE: Paladins have experienced very few changes. Only the Retribution Paladin had to say goodbye to his major Blessing of Might, but in return, he received a 12% damage boost – some abilities, like Consecration, have been buffed even more.
PvP: The values for Paladins in PvP have been recalculated, making all three specializations a bit more balanced.
Priest
PvE: Shadow Priests lose Mind Blast and their passive effect “Lingering Insanity”, but in return receive a hefty 25% more damage on almost all spells. Void Bolt now increases the duration of DoTs by 3 seconds instead of refreshing them completely.
PvP: Holy Priests can now keep their teammates alive much better in PvP and have received a few new talents. Greater Heal now increases the target’s life by 10%.
Rogue
PvE: Rogues receive buffs to their damage in almost all categories, but at the cost of their slow abilities, which have been toned down. Shred for Outlaw Rogues now also increases energy regeneration.
PvP: Rogues now have about 10% more stamina – and thus hit points – in PvP situations.
Shaman
PvE: Elemental Shamans have had their talents shaken up and damage increased, while Enhancement Shamans deal significantly more damage and have improved self-healing.
PvP: Restoration Shamans have been strengthened. Their Earth Shields can no longer be dispelled and their Healing Wave now heals about 50% stronger than before.
Warlock
PvE: The damage of all primary pets has been increased by 20%. Aside from that, there are only small changes, but Destruction Warlocks now deal more damage than before.
PvP: Affliction Warlocks can now deal percentage-based damage and are more effective against targets below the 30% HP threshold.
Warrior
PvE: Fury and Arms Warriors receive a damage boost of around 5%, while Protection Warriors show improved rage generation.
PvP: Warriors can now disarm, causing enemies to temporarily not wield weapons or shields. Additionally, secondary stats for Fury and Protection Warriors have been adjusted.
If you are interested in the hard details, you can read them in the official patch notes (see sources), but they are still only available in English.
The Twitter account of Titanfall 2 messages people and recommends a game: itself.
With the social media presence of well-known products, it’s a mixed bag. There are gems to discover: The account of “Sonic The Hedgehog” is known for posting brilliant jabs and comments: subtle allusions, even small masterpieces.
There are gems, but most business accounts are pretty dull. They point to their own blog posts, announce data, and congratulate other companies’ Twitter accounts when they announce a launch. The better Twitter accounts answer fans’ questions. Nothing spectacular.
The Twitter account of Titanfall is now gaining attention because it behaves like an annoying salesman at a party, trying to push its stuff on everyone. Gamers on Reddit have noticed this, and now US gaming websites have discovered it too. The account is really pushy:
@EliasPandyYT Do you think you will check out Titanfall 2 soon?
It seems that as soon as anyone mentions on Twitter that they are looking for a new game, Titanfall pops out of the shadows and shouts: “Hey! How about us? Have you read the blog post I sent you about us?” This mix of an insurance agent and those people who want to talk about “just a little about God”.
Titanfall 2 is considered a critic’s favorite and a really fine game, but it has only sold moderately well. Whether these methods are now fruitful remains questionable. However, the engagement is commendable. They are passionate about their title, maybe a bit too much.

Destiny is picking up speed again! After a few weeks of silence around the MMO shooter, Community Manager DeeJ returned last night with a detailed letter to the Guardians. In it, he announced three exciting things:
The Iron Banner begins next week on Tuesday,
there will be an update beforehand,
and the live team is working on a new content update.
The update next week is expected to provide a solution for Xur’s adventurous inventory. In his recent arrivals, he sometimes forgot the Three of Coins and Glass Needles, or he brought “normal” Engrams. How Bungie’s solution for this will look remains to be seen.
Let’s see together what the Agent of the Nine brings this time.
The Iron Banner starts next week

Players often complain that WoW does nothing against bots. What does Blizzard say about that?
Among the many fun killers that roam MMORPGs are various bots. Often, accounts are fully automated, and the characters follow a specific route to collect as many profitable resources as possible. This ranges from herbs to ores and leather, as well as gathering honor points in battlegrounds. The corresponding characters usually ruin the fun for other players or disturb the economy – often both.
The frustration of players is often brought to the official forums, where they accuse the game developers: You do nothing! The bot users pay subscription fees, so you just let them do whatever!
Just a few days ago, Blizzard spoke up through the customer service representative Glaxigrav and explained why banning bots sometimes takes longer and what difficulties exist.
“We can and take actions against bots. But these might not always be the massive clean-up waves where thousands of voices scream in horror and then fall silent. Our actions happen on several levels.
Some are simple: A game master reviews a single report, and then we don’t need any further information: We immediately ban the player. In other cases, we monitor and then identify the bot without needing player reports. Mass bans also occur, but people who use bots rarely come to the forums to complain about it. (…)
As in real life, this is a never-ending game of “The Good against the Bad.” We set a mousetrap; they build a better mouse, then we improve the mousetrap, and so on.”
The thread creator then accused Blizzard of being able to have had the information for 10 years if they only spent “10 to 20 dollars on a bot.”
The response came promptly:
“That assumes that bots haven’t evolved in the last 11 years. There are a few bot manufacturers who would certainly disagree with you. (…) I can understand your frustration, but I also want you to have realistic expectations.
Bots and cheat programs will exist in every game as long as there is a market for them: Unfortunately, players who buy gold or engage in other real-money transactions bolster the use of bots. (…) As long as bots exist, we will continue to weed them out.”
Servers are down today, January 13th, for The Division. Massive is deploying a hotfix to address a glitch.
Yesterday, the weekly maintenance was canceled – instead, it is taking place today, Friday the 13th. Massive has a hotfix ready to eliminate a current farming glitch.
The servers for PS4, Xbox One, and PC will be taken down at 9:30 AM. The estimated downtime is three hours, so you can start playing again around 12:30 PM.
Massive is now putting a stop to this glitch: from now on, there will be a cooldown when resetting a mission multiple times in a row. Additionally, active skills will be destroyed when restarting a mission.
Furthermore, a minor issue with the operations base items will be fixed today.
MMO shooter Destiny returns from the winter holidays. The Bungie team has a lot to announce.
On the night from Thursday to Friday, the first “This week at Bungie” in 2017 was released. The last few weeks there was silence. So there is a lot to announce.
The Iron Banner returns
As many have already expected, the Iron Banner returns next week.
The start of the monthly PvP event is January 17 at 7 PM. It will end on January 24 at 10:00 AM.
and the stability of the two new exotic machine guns Nova Mortis and Abbadon will be adjusted.
The hotfix is scheduled for Tuesday at 6:30 PM on January 17.
There are still some problems that Bungie is aware of, but will not fix on Tuesday:
Icebreaker does not unlock the appropriate Grimoire card
Skeleton keys can be lost in inventory
some elimination crucible rounds do not end as they should if a fireteam loses
Ikora is mistakenly marked with a waypoint
Vaguely announced a content update
With the faintest hint, as is Bungie’s way, there are indications of a content update from the “Live Team” patch. They are currently working on a content update that will give Guardians new reasons to fight.
Before “new Vanguard missions” arrive, they want to talk about other things first – namely Iron Banner and hotfix.
The hints here are only vague – perhaps a similar update like “the Dawn”, a balance patch for weapons is also due, but Bungie says nothing about that today.
The weapons available in the Iron Banner have been introduced in a big article today – how prescient of us. There you can also find the rocket launcher and the pistol.
