An ettin is becoming rare – the world quest “An Ettin’s Foot in the Door” is causing great question marks among WoW players.
Aside from the world boss Ana-Mouz and Humongris, today, on 01/18/2017, a third world quest has also appeared in World of Warcraft . The mission named “The Night Hold: An Ettin’s Foot in the Door” is also marked as “purple” and suggests that the corresponding opponent must be defeated by a full raid group.

The solution to the riddle is simple: Torm the Crusher is not really wandering around in Suramar, but can be found in the new raid “The Night Hold” – as the name of the quest actually implies.
The marker on the world map does not indicate where Torm is located, but simply shows the entrance to the Night Hold.
Torm the Crusher can be encountered relatively early in the instance, you can defeat the ettin right after the first boss Skorpyron. The boss itself is not very tough and should pose no obstacle for a complete raid group.
Those who want to complete the quest and secure the 175,000 artifact power (with Artifact Knowledge 25) must either join an existing raid group or start one themselves. Whether the mission is completed in normal or heroic mode does not matter – defeating the first boss with a bunch of “randoms” could already cause serious problems.
So far, “The Night Hold” is not yet available in the raid finder, the wings will open in the coming weeks. So when this world quest appears next time, you can probably complete it relaxed in LFR. Until then, manually searching for a suitable group is mandatory.
During the data mining of the latest update to Pokémon GO 38 new moves and five evolution items were found.
Yesterday, Niantic announced that the new Patch 0.53.1 is being rolled out and will soon be released in various countries. In the code of this new APK, data miners found interesting changes that are not mentioned in the patch notes. Many new moves and their graphics were found in the code. Additionally, the items that are given to various Pokémon to evolve are located in the code.

Up-Grade – Allows Porygon to evolve into Porygon2 when it carries the item during a trade.
Presumably, the exact function of these items will still change, as there are currently no trading options in Pokémon GO. When you will be able to use these items in the game is also still unclear. The fishing tournament from Stranglethorn has sneakily crept into the patch and will now be held every Sunday at 2:00 PM in Stranglethorn.

The goal of the fishing tournament is to catch 40 Glimmering Delicacies that appear all along the coast of Stranglethorn. The first player to turn in 40 fish at Booty Bay will be crowned the event’s winner. As several servers are now playing together in a phase, the number of possible winners has increased. Several players report that up to 50 players can emerge as winners from the event.
The rewards include the following items:
Arcane Fishing Pole, which grants +40 to fishing and was used by Nat Pagle himself.
Master Angler’s Hook, a trinket that allows the character to transform into a fish to swim faster and breathe underwater.
Terrorfish Ring, an heirloom ring that grants +5% experience.
Boots of the Bay, a pair of boots that improve fishing and teleport you to Booty Bay upon use.
Extremely Tested Eternium Fishing Line, which allows you to enchant a rod, increasing your fishing skill by 5.
Besides that, you can catch some special fish during the event, which also grant small bonuses when exchanged – such as a fish as a weapon.
Basically, the event lasts until 5:00 PM; however, winners are usually announced after 10-15 minutes. So if you want a chance at victory and thus a reward, you should be on time at 2:00 PM on Sunday in Stranglethorn.
In the first quarter of 2017, “Renting, Buying, Living” is on the agenda for The Elder Scrolls Online. The free update Homestead will be released, introducing the long-promised housing feature.
The free update brings 39 different homes across Tamriel and 2000 furniture items.
After a testing phase, Zenimax now announces the release date for Homestead:

Lineage Eternal is an action online RPG from Korea where players do not have to commit to one hero. Instead, Lineage Eternal offers four characters that the player can switch between at any time. But how does it work exactly? Do the heroes share equipment and levels? Can the heroes be switched at any time? And are there exceptions?
This is how the Eternal Party works
As already mentioned, you have four heroes that you can select from your pool of previously unlocked characters and assign to the F1 to F4 keys. One press of a button is enough, and instead of the petite succubus, a burly warrior or an elf archer stands ready.
This switch is an essential gameplay feature, as in many boss fights only tanks can withstand certain attacks. So when the final boss prepares a killer strike, all players should quickly switch to one of their equipped tanks. Your heroes level up all at the same time, so you do not have to play them all equally often to reach a specific level.
However, this does not apply to equipment. You will have to gather that individually for each hero.
However, at least armor pieces can be freely exchanged between heroes as long as they all have the same armor proficiency. Whether the heavy plate is worn by warrior Hector or knight Aydin does not matter in the end. Also interesting: The appearance of the heroes only changes through skins. The actual worn equipment always looks the same.
Dead in the Dungeon

If one of the heroes bites the dust, he will be replaced by a new hero from the list of characters that has not been in the party yet. However, the dead hero remains dead for the duration of the instance visit, and if you have exhausted all heroes from your pool, your dungeon run has failed.
Skills and Variants

What is TOTW anyway?
Every Wednesday, EA Sports unveils the Team of the Week in the “Ultimate Team” mode of their annual football simulation. This also applies to FIFA 17. In this case, players who performed outstandingly in real football during the past week are rewarded with special cards that have improved attributes.
You can draw the TOTW cards from certain sets that can include Rare (Gold) players within a week. However, the chances of this happening are considered low. Additionally, you can buy them on the transfer market if they are offered by other players. However, the prices are usually extremely high.
The fight by Blizzard against the German bot manufacturer Bossland at WoW appears to be bearing fruit.
Last week on January 12th, Blizzard won a court victory against the bot manufacturer Bossland GmbH from Zwickau. The Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe upheld the Hamburg Higher Regional Court’s ruling that the distribution and sale of the WoW bot Honorbuddy in Germany is anti-competitive.
Bossland had filed an appeal against previous rulings from the Regional Court and Higher Regional Court of Hamburg. This appeal was dismissed in Karlsruhe.
The distribution of bot programs for online games is deemed anti-competitive and must not be tolerated by the game developer. This was announced by Blizzard’s law firm Gleiss Lutz in a press release.
The reasoning of the judgment has not yet been published.
The process between Blizzard and Bossland has been dragging through the courts for years and now seems to be bearing fruit. Bossland has also released a statement which has consequences.
Bossland retroactively changes “Lifetime Licenses” to licenses with a two-year duration – and many have already expired
Shortly after the ruling, Bossland announced in its forum that it would no longer offer a German version of Honorbuddy, but defiantly stated that this is not the end. They will continue to develop and offer products worldwide – outside of Germany.
Bossland interprets other parts of the ruling as meaning that “Reverse Engineering” is generally permissible.
But it goes further. In a statement yesterday, Bossland informed its customers that they have been heavily burdened by court costs and low sales in recent months. Therefore, they are currently not making enough money. As a result, Bossland is retroactively changing users’ “Lifetime Keys” to licenses with a two-year duration.
This has caused upset among many fans of the bot software. Their “lifetime bots” are partially expiring today. They cannot understand how they lost their “lifetime subscription” to a bot overnight.
Although Bossland regrets it if customers see this change as unfair, from a business perspective there is no other choice. According to “Bossland,” the licenses for the Lifetime Keys were only valid for a “corresponding Honorbuddy version.” The lifetime licenses for earlier versions have only been maintained “as a courtesy” all these years. This is no longer possible.
It literally states:
The Lifetime Keys are always based on the corresponding Honorbuddy version; just because no one sees it, doesn’t mean it’s not a new product.
The action MMO Marvel Heroes is facing a huge update that aims to simplify and improve the game.

Marvel Heroes parts ways with old Diablo ideas, adapts new ones
Many somewhat bloated systems from the past will now be streamlined and replaced with the “Biggest Update Ever“. By parting with some “old” ideas that became popular through Blizzard, Marvel Heroes is also becoming more similar to the “new” Blizzard.
The new systems in Marvel Heroes strongly resemble the Paragon and Greater Rift systems from Diablo 3. The skill streamlining looks like what happened in WoW: Marvel Heroes had a system where certain points were “mandatory” if players wanted to optimally play heroes. This ideal building, where players put points into skills on 3 trees, is now replaced with “Traits” where players can allocate points.
“Biggest Update Ever” for Marvel Heroes reinvents the action MMO
On Thursday, January 19th, the patch will arrive. Seven months of work have gone into this:
the endgame progression system “Omega”, where players could choose from an endless array of sub-talents, is now replaced by the “Infinity System”.Instead of 170 nodes across 14 pages, there are now only 6 nodes where points can be allocated. Similar to the Paragon system in Diablo or the Champion Points in The Elder Scrolls Online.
Instead of the 59 heroes each having several different skills that players could allocate points to, this has been significantly streamlined – players can no longer put points into individual skills, but choose Talents and Traits – these changes are reminiscent of the talent streamlining in WoW a few years ago
This also means that players use fewer skills; each hero should manage with one hotbar and 8 skills, but they can switch to different loadouts for other situations.
And a “difficulty slider” is coming, which works like the Greater Rift level in Diablo 3 or the world rank in The Division … these systems are also currently popular and are being adopted by other games.
Numerous additional upgrades and changes in details are also part of the update – it is a gigantic rework.

Which card combination is most useful greatly depends on your team’s composition. You have a total of 6 slots available, which you can fill with decks in the champion menu. You should build a deck for every conceivable situation, which you select before each match.
If your team lacks offense/damage and you’re playing the support heroine Ying? Have a deck ready that gives you extra damage to support your team beyond just healing.
Customize the deck to your personal preferences
The cards also offer you the possibility to enhance your individual playstyle. Do you enjoy playing the flanker Sky and prefer to dash behind enemy lines to take out opposing champions from behind? Build a deck with movement speed.
Or do you prefer to play the assassin from the shadows, unnoticed? Choose cards that enhance your stealth abilities. This way, you can enhance your own strengths and preferences for each champion and support your team with your personal style.
This is how Loadout Cards are structured
All cards come with a value. A complete deck can cost up to 12 points in total. The more expensive the cards, the stronger they are and they will often form the core of your build. The abilities of the cards are all passive and run unnoticed in the background. You do not need to activate them during the match.
The cards are structured as follows:
Rarity – At the top of the card, there is a crystal that determines the rarity of the card. There are four different rarity levels: Common (green), Rare (blue), Epic (purple), Legendary (gold)
Active – The “Active” modifies either a weapon or an ability of your champion.
Cooldown – The number at the bottom right indicates the interval at which the card can be activated. Activation occurs automatically.
Ability Modifier – Here it describes how the card modifies the champion.
Cost – The number at the bottom left represents the cost and rank (I, II, III, IV) of the card. The higher the cost, the stronger the card.
Paladins: Importing Decks from Top Players
If you initially don’t want to deal with creating decks, it is possible to import/copy decks from other players. This can help you better understand the composition of effective decks and especially provide relief in the beginning.
When you click on “Create Deck,” you have the option to import a deck. The following options are available to you:

On the leaderboard, you will find the decks of top Paladins players that you can simply copy. Provided that you already own the cards from those decks. The main decks of the best Paladins players are often referred to as “Main Loadouts.”
Deck Building with Burn Cards – These are the Items of Paladins
In Paladins, at the start of each match, you choose a champ that cannot be changed anymore. Burn cards can adapt your champ based on the situation during the match. They are the items of Paladins that you must buy before and during the match. During gameplay, you earn credits that unlock the burn cards in the base.
Every player and champion has access to the same burn cards. They are your way to strategically and actively counter the opposing team.

The burn cards can reduce enemy healing, increase your movement speed, or boost your damage when attacking shields.
Paladins: Deck Building with Legendary Cards
Legendary cards do not belong to your loadout deck but are chosen at the start of a match. Each legendary card provides your champion with powerful attributes that add even more strategic decisions to the game. They are unlocked with essence but can also drop from loot chests.
Each champion has a total of 3 legendary cards with powerful attributes.
Before each match, the player chooses one of the three cards.
Legendary cards do not belong to the loadout deck.
Once a legendary card is selected, it cannot be changed during the match.
Legendary cards have no ranks.
Legendary cards are much stronger than the cards in the loadout deck. Each champion has its own set of these special cards. At the start, one of the three cards is already unlocked for each player; the other two must be unlocked with essence.

In Pokémon GO there are now the first female monsters that you can add to your collection. We will show you how to recognize them.
A few hours ago, first trainers noticed changes in Pikachu and Raichu. The electric monsters now come in different genders in the game. Already in the datamining of version 0.49.1, clues about the Pokémon genders appeared, which could soon be activated. First images have now been published on Reddit showing female Pokémon. You can notice differences between the two genders of these monsters in small details.
Pikachu and Raichu – Differences Male/Female
Now there are the first Pikachu and Raichu in female and male form in the wild. But how do you recognize them?
If the monsters appear in your “Nearby” display, there is still no difference noticeable. You can only distinguish between males and females when you look closely at the 3D model. You will see this model when you interact directly with the Pokémon or click on the corresponding PokéStop with Pikachu in the Nearby display.

To distinguish the genders, you need to closely look at the tip of the monsters’ tails. For male Pikachu, the tail tip is straight and flat. For female Pikachu, the tail tip is split and has a heart shape.
For Raichu, you will find the differences also at the tail tip. The male has a longer tail tip than the female Raichu.
You may need the new Pokémon GO update 0.53.1 to see the changes in your game. These different genders have only been confirmed by trainers for Pikachu and Raichu so far. No new genders have been noticed for other Pokémon yet.
After the new update is available in Germany and you have installed it, you should check your collection for changes. Some trainers on Reddit reported that their Pikachu and Raichu, which they already had in their collection, have changed gender. A new catch is therefore not necessarily required to own male and female Pokémon.
Explanation – If you evolved a male Pikachu into a female Raichu:
The models and sprites of the Pokémon are stored on Niantic’s servers. The update with the genders includes two parts: the server-side update and the client update. Many have already downloaded the APK of the new update, which, however, is not yet activated on all country servers.
The current models are Pikachu – male and Raichu – female. If all your Pikachu are male and all Raichu are female, then you probably don’t have access to the new update yet. This means that the displayed genders may not be “accurate”.
If you have, for example, 20 male Pikachu, a few of them can turn into females after the update.

In Ubisoft’s upcoming melee game, you will be able to play with 12 different heroes at launch. Each of the three factions – Knights, Vikings, and Samurai – features 4 fighters, each with distinct play styles.
For example, the Warlord of the Vikings is designed for short range, the Shugoki of the Samurai is a bulky warrior with a strong attack, and the Peacekeeper of the Knights is fast and deadly. You can therefore break through enemy lines and engage in tactical duels in various ways.
Now, three additional heroes have been showcased in videos, two of which are in exclusive trailers from IGN.
Three New Heroes in For Honor
The Samurai send the Nobushi into battle: these heroes are always female and are capable of keeping melee fighters at bay. They wield a spear as a weapon and wear light armor:

Actually, Funcom planned to reset the servers of the survival RPG Conan Exiles every 30 days. However, this caused a lot of negative feedback, which is why the plans have now changed.
The official servers are now divided into three categories: PvE, PvP, and PvP Blitz servers. There will now be no wipe on the regular PvE and PvP servers every 30 days. This will only occur on the PvP Blitz servers.
This way, the team wants to offer several gameplay options so that players can choose how they want to act in the RPG. If someone is intrigued by the challenge of starting over after 30 days, they can do so on the Blitz servers. Those who prefer to take their time and experience consistent progress will play on the regular servers.
Private servers run by their own rules
However, the Blitz servers will also be adjusted, as you will progress significantly faster there than on the regular ones. So you can achieve quite a bit within the 30 days before the wipe occurs. The Blitz servers should be clearly marked in the selection list.
Furthermore, the developers point out that every player has the opportunity to set up their own servers. Either on their own PC or by renting a server through PingPerfect. On these, you will have plenty of settings and can determine the rules yourself.
The feedback from fans is very important
With this step, Funcom wants to show how important fan feedback is for the development of the role-playing game. If many disagree with something and have a better suggestion, the developers will consider it and possibly make appropriate adjustments. The team hopes that fans are satisfied with this division into the three mentioned server categories.

Good Wednesday afternoon, everyone. To counter the usual “You are such a Blizzard fanboy!” comments – which apparently forget that half of my “Whine Wednesday” columns are directed at Blizzard games – I’m turning my attention back to World of Warcraft.
Since Patch 7.1.5, the Shadow Priest in World of Warcraft has been the best damage dealer by far, at least until today’s hotfix. I could complain that the nerf really gets on my nerves – but that’s not my issue. The nerf is justified. However, even though my class is absolutely top-notch in damage numbers, I have another complaint: It’s not fun for me anymore.
Anyone who has followed my posts a bit knows that I have been playing WoW since Classic with some breaks. Since The Burning Crusade, my main character has always been a Shadow Priest. Throughout all that time, even when WoW as a whole became boring, the Shadow Priest has always been fun. That has simply vanished now.
Actually, I have always been relatively open to changes in World of Warcraft. I liked the redesign of the Priest – the Shadow Priest had less to do with the “Cult of the Forgotten Shadows”, instead, it now drew upon the madness of the Old Gods. What basically just sounded like a new story explanation has completely transformed the game. As a Shadow Priest, I now have not only a Shadow form but also a Void form.
That sounded cool on paper and was also fun at first.
The balance between accumulating insanity and staying as long as possible in the Void form was exciting but unfortunately became trivialized more and more. First, they removed Dispersion, a spell that not only reduces damage taken but also stops the loss of insanity while you generate new stacks of Void form – the last effect is gone.
The Void Bolt – an exclusive ability during Void form – has also been changed more and more. “In the past”, it reset all the Shadow Priest’s DOTs to their maximum duration upon impact. Now it increases the existing duration of DOTs by 3 seconds – but has a cooldown of 4 seconds (which decreases over the course of the Void form – explaining that would exceed the scope).
The result is that you now frantically hammer on the Void Bolt and prematurely interrupt other spells like Mind Flay, hoping every time, “Will the Bolt arrive on time? Will my DOTs be refreshed appropriately?” This places me under constant stress and leads to often frustrating gameplay – regardless of the damage dealt.
Lastly (and I hate to say this), the “skill cap” of the Shadow Priest has been significantly lowered. Instead of making it worthwhile to stay as long as possible in Void form, you now just whip from one Void form to the next without caring about the duration – insanity is gained so quickly that you are in Void form 70% of the time anyway.
The Shadow Priest doesn’t seem to be the only one who is driving players away. At least in my guild, the number of players turning away from their long-time main character is increasing because the gameplay experience has been lost somewhere between balancing and the new class fantasy.

In The Division, some agents stock up on named weapons. Why is that?
A week ago, the ETF phase for update 1.6 and “Last Stand” took place, where representatives from the community flew to the USA along with team members from Massive to chat with the “Red Storm” studios about the future of The Division.
Everything that was shown to the “Elite Task Force” during these days is still highly confidential. Until Massive officially announces the new features, ETF members must keep silent about it.
However, one ETF member is struggling to keep his lips sealed: Just a few days ago, the YouTuber and streamer LiKe BuTTeR teased: “Guys, 1.6 and Last Stand will deliver some great PvE content.” Now he revealed how agents should prepare for 1.6.
Buy the named weapons
Just a few days ago, a user’s observation circulated in the reddit forum that LiKe BuTTeR buys an unusually high number of “Named weapons” in his live streams. In other words, he invested all his currencies in these weapons. Many agents thought to themselves: “Let him, it doesn’t have to be a hint about 1.6.”
But LiKe BuTTeR became specific: During a stream, a viewer asked him how he should prepare for the update 1.6. And the streamer replied with clear words: “Buy the named weapons!”

However, he did not reveal why players should buy these weapons. On reddit, agents speculate that the named weapons will be upgraded, that they will become rarer, or that they could completely disappear from the vendor inventories. However, the community is still struggling to find a sense in this “hint”.

In World of Tanks, all sorts of cheaters and fraudsters are at work, so Wargaming often kicks some particularly bold tricksters out of the game. According to an unofficial site, Germany claims the second place on this infamous list.
In online games, cheating and hacking are rampant. World of Tanks is no exception, and Wargaming regularly bans the worst offenders from the servers for a week.
Only the Poles are worse!
But where do all these cheaters come from? Which country in Europe has the worst cheaters? An unofficial site called wot-chaters.tk seems to have the answer: The Poles are the worst fraudsters! According to the statistics from wot-cheaters, our neighbors to the east have 782 banned players, placing them at the top of the worst cheaters list. However, Germany is right behind them, claiming second place with 314 caught fraudsters.
However, these numbers should be taken with caution, as Wargaming itself tries to avoid letting information about the number of players or their dubious activities become public. Therefore, there is no guarantee that the information from wot-cheaters is authentic.

The latest raid of World of Warcraft is accessible starting today. The most powerful enemies from Suramar are waiting in the Nightwell.
With World of Warcraft: Legion, everything was supposed to get better and content droughts were to be nipped in the bud. Thus, Blizzard is only now opening the third raid of the current expansion.
Today, on 01/18/2016, the new raid “The Nightwell” opens on normal and heroic difficulty!
The Nightwell features a total of 10 different bosses, ranging from wild animals to demons to Nightborne. For the LFR (Looking For Raid), the raid will be divided into a total of 4 wings.
The Nightwell deals with the long questline about Suramar and the fate of the Nightborne. Over the past few weeks, players have begun the siege of the capital to reclaim the city piece by piece alongside the First Arcanist Thalyssra.
At the heart of the city, the namesake Nightwell rests, from which the elves draw their magic. The Legion and Gul’dan himself are also there to complete a dark ritual and use the body of Illidan as a vessel for a powerful demon.
In the coming weeks, the Nightwell will also be made accessible for the other difficulty levels.
