If you want to learn about taming, you should start with a simple target. A Dodo or small Dilo are suitable dinos for beginners. ARK: Taming with Tranquilizers
To tame the dino of your choice, you need to knock it unconscious. Then, you will stun it and give it its favorite food. To do this, simply place the food in the dino’s inventory.
With these methods and weapons, you can knock out dinos:
Hit the dino with your fists. This is still feasible for small creatures like the Dodo. Overall, this is the least effective method.
It is easy to accidentally kill the dino when you only want to knock it out. Be careful not to injure it too much. No unnecessary dino cruelty!
The dino must remain unconscious during taming
Make sure the dino stays unconscious while you tame it. The dino has a bar that indicates how close it is to waking up.
This bar decreases along with the “Torpor” of the creature. To keep it unconscious, feed it narcoberries or use narcotic ointment. The narcotic ointment is more effective than the berries. The dino will not eat these voluntarily. You will need to force it to take the narcotics. Place them in its inventory and click “use item” or “remote use item”.
The dino will eat food willingly; you just need to put it in its inventory. What food the dino likes best varies from creature to creature. If the dino raises its head, it eats, and the “Taming Bar” increases. When the animal’s hunger reaches a certain value, it will start to eat. The dino will always wait long enough until the bar is depleted to its favorite food.

All creatures in ARK Survival Evolved prefer to eat Kibbles as soon as their hunger drops below 80. Kibbles are recipes that you create in a Cooking Pan.

Water
Another ingredient like meat, jerky, or fruits
There are a few exceptions of dinos that do not have Kibble as their favorite food. However, this is a very small percentage.
ARK: Taming Effectiveness – The Taming Effectiveness Determines the Strength of Dinos
The “Taming Effectiveness” indicates what bonus the creature receives after you have successfully tamed it. Every dino starts with an effectiveness of 100% and loses percentages every time it eats food from its inventory. The Taming Effectiveness also decreases when the dino takes damage while unconscious.
The percentages of Taming Effectiveness remain highest by giving the dino its favorite food. So it’s worth making Kibbles. The taming effectiveness determines the number of bonus levels and statistics of the dino after taming. If you achieve an effectiveness of over 90%, you will get a strong companion.

History Repeats: Each bullet stays lodged in the enemy and explodes one second later. The explosion deals 700% of your weapon value.
On the PTS for 1.6, this talent initially relied on skill power, later it was changed to weapon power. Important: It’s not the DPS value, but the weapon value that matters.
This means: For example, if you have a weapon value of 7000, the explosion deals 49,000 damage (so 7 times). It doesn’t matter if you shoot them in the body or in the head – this damage value remains the same. This explosive damage works in addition to the “normal” damage when you hit the enemy.
In short: If you boost your weapon value, the Historian deals large amounts of damage. The explosion can stagger enemies, giving you additional advantages.

So let’s talk about another favorite topic of mine: the behavior of people on the internet. And it seems that more and more operators of large portals are simply throwing in the towel. Like IMDb, a large database about movies and film reviews, which is closing its forum these days – because they simply can no longer cope with the onslaught of trolls, even if they phrase it more politely.
I often imagine an apocalyptic campfire 50 years in the future, where you sit with the survivors of the impending zombie apocalypse in the ruins of a city, talking to the children and grandchildren who then ask:
“Wow, you had this Internet! You had the opportunity to connect with all people around the world anytime and exchange ideas. Mustn’t that have been an incredibly great, enriching experience? Couldn’t you learn so much from each other, like never before in the history of mankind?”
And then eventually someone would ask: “What did you do then?” and one would have to shamefully reply:
“We all showed our worst sides, stifled communication in the bud, and buried our empathy. And then we posted memes all day and celebrated headbanging doves.”
I increasingly wish for concepts like an “Internet driver’s license” – which sounds ridiculous, but could indeed contribute to improvement. Anyone who cannot prove that they can treat others with respect should not be allowed to go online.
Sometimes I also flirt with concepts like in South Korea, where all users have to register with their social security number, for example, for games. I wouldn’t want everyone to be able to see the names and data of every other person – that would be terrible – but rather, that in cases of criminal prosecution and “misconduct,” there are simply sanctions like “So, you now have a 2-week internet timeout, think about your mistakes and become a little kinder.”
Going crazy online? Then there’s a timeout.
And no, I also don’t want to play “opinion police” – but trolls and hate comments generally do not have an opinion. “You are all sons of bitches and I’ll fuck you up” is simply not an opinion – even if that is hard for some to understand.
Sure, this is just a not very well thought-out figment of my imagination, but the behavior on the internet is increasingly getting on my nerves. And it helps little to say, “If you can’t handle the behavior on the internet, then just don’t use it.” I rather represent the view: “If you can’t treat people with respect, then don’t use the internet.”
But I am already getting worked up about something again – have a nice Wednesday and behave yourselves. Be a positive example for your fellow human beings.
In Destiny , many Guardians can hardly believe what Bungie has done with Patch 2.5.0.2. Additionally, another bug has already been discovered.

These are reactions to the patch notes for update 2.5.0.2, which were published yesterday. Some new features of the update were presented in a livestream a week ago, where they were largely considered reasonable. However, some changes are now hidden in the patch notes that leave Guardians shaking their heads.

What has happened to the Truth?
Among the biggest topics of discussion are the nerf to the Truth and a new bug that was introduced with 2.5.0.2. Before the release, the developers discovered a bug with several perks that nearly led to a postponement of the update. However, Bungie wanted to stick to the release date, which is why this bug made it into the game. For many Guardians, this is incomprehensible – even though Bungie wants to wait for feedback and respond accordingly.
The magazine capacity of the Truth has been reduced from 3 to 1 – significantly weakening the exotic rocket launcher. On reddit and in our comments, the reaction is clear: “Why?” Now the rocket launcher is broken; no one asked for a nerf.
Furthermore, many players are dissatisfied with the special ammo changes or complain about the changes to grenades or their Guardian classes. Right now, it’s really difficult to hear positive voices. Among the few is our reader Cupid, who writes that the game feels faster to him now and he expected it to be worse given all the negative reactions.
Nevertheless, a clear picture emerges: the majority of players are dissatisfied with the patch. By now, the Crucible is not fun anymore. There is a demand for better communication between the Guardians and the developers.
Tracker is buggy
However, all the anger over the changes isn’t enough – another bug has already been found. It seems that the Tracker causes exactly the opposite of what it was supposed to do since the patch on shotguns. It was supposed to take 25% longer to aim with the shotgun with the perk, but now it takes less time with the perk. In other words, this was not a nerf but a buff. Here is a video about it:

Now, things are supposed to change, as the developers at Funcom have planned a massive patch that is set to be released in the coming days. Many issues will be tackled brutally and mercilessly. Some of the most important changes include:

One of our questions dealt with how far the developers of Hearthstone are actually looking into the future and already developing plans and designs for upcoming expansions.
Ben Brode replied:
“Right now, we are finishing the development of our next card set, but we are also already hard at work on the two subsequent expansions.”
This statement suggests that the developers of Hearthstone at least have the next 12 months in mind and that the work is significantly more than just “rough planning”. According to current statements, three new card sets are expected to be released each year. Two of these are pure “sets”, with a little over 100 fresh cards; one expansion is an adventure with story elements and PvE bosses, but it will also bring significantly fewer cards (about 30-40). In compensation, the cards from the adventures are usually “more powerful” and have a greater impact on the meta than individual cards from the large sets.
Although there has been no official announcement yet, the next set is expected in spring 2017, as the “Year of the Kraken” will then end and old sets will be removed from the standard rotation.

Recently, there is a PvE mode in Paladins where you team up against the game. In the last few days, I have seen questions popping up in the Paladins forums about what the PvE quest actually is. Here comes an explanation.
Paladins PvE Challenge – What is it?
In PvE (Player vs Environment), you compete against bots with your team. The bots are not easy to defeat, as they all fight with enhanced attributes and reduced cooldown of their abilities.
So far, there have been these different PvE scenarios:
Tank it to the Limit (2 Bariks, 1 Grover, 1 Makoa, Fernando)
Los Pollos Fernandos (4 Fernandos, 1 Pip)
Hide and Seek (5 Skyes)
Minefield (5 Kinessas)
Every week there is a different PvE quest, in which you can defeat the overpowered bots in co-op.
PvE Quests reward you with crystals
Every week you have the chance to win the PvE quest for a reward. If you manage to defeat the PvE quest 5 times, you will receive 50 crystals. Crystals are usually only obtainable with real money or through special events, like the PvE quest. With crystals, you unlock cosmetic items or purchase chests.
The reward does not increase: 10 wins would not result in 100 crystals. Per week, the reward can be unlocked once by each account. If you have already received the reward, the PvE mode is still useful for leveling up the champion.
PvE Strategies – Crowd Control pays off
So far, all PvE quests have shown that champions with “Crowd Control” abilities are in the lead. Especially the Bomb King is particularly effective here with his sticky bombs. But Pip is also a good choice.
It is currently unknown, whether Paladins will add more PvE quests in the future. It seems that for now, they will stick with the enhanced bot teams. However, players wish for more variety in the future.

Professionals are running out of breath – the top guilds in World of Warcraft are successively bidding farewell to raiding.
The race for the first kills in the Nighthold has been over for a few days now, and more and more professional guilds are slowly but surely managing to defeat the last boss Gul’Dan on Mythic mode.
However, while many guilds are thrilled about the kill, another feeling sets in: exhaustion.
More and more guilds have thrown in the towel in recent months and have distanced themselves from the professional raiding scene in World of Warcraft. Now, Midwinter and From Scratch, who had previously participated in many races and achieved quite high placements, have followed suit.
Kaowa from Midwinter announced on the guild’s website:
“After a year and a half of planning and five months with hundreds of hours spent in dungeons and raids, we have finally defeated the last boss of the Nighthold. Grand Magistrix Elisande. “What about Gul’dan?” you ask? Well, in the end, we decided that he wasn’t such a bad guy after all.
Just kidding, this means that Midwinter is taking an indefinite break from progressive raiding.”
The main problem for many guilds is that the “next race,” the Tomb of Sargeras, will also be associated with so much farming work that players are already losing their motivation just thinking about the effort. Justwait from Method has calculated how much one would need to farm for upgrading the artifact weapon in the next patch – nearly 1000 “Mythic+” dungeons of level 6-9!

Blizzard has since responded to the concerns that have arisen in connection with the upcoming Patch 7.2 “The Tomb of Sargeras” and clarified that these are only temporary values. It is stated in the official forum:
“The values for artifact knowledge and artifact power that have been extracted for Patch 7.2 by data miners are not final – they are only temporary values. With these temporary values, artifact knowledge scales linearly while the required artifact power increases exponentially. Therefore, it seems as if one has to put in much more effort for the new traits than was the case in 7.0, but that’s not the case.”
Whether Blizzard is now also concerned about “backtracking” or whether the data was really not final remains hard to say. Nevertheless, this is a PTR and it is there for testing – what you see there is rarely set in stone and should be taken with caution.
Many guilds also complain that high-level raiding does not receive the attention from developers that it actually deserves. In other games with significantly less attention, there would be large prize pools as incentives and more fairness. In World of Warcraft, however, “high-performance raiding” is tied to a lot of grind work and luck, such as the distribution of legendary items.

When you launch For Honor for the first time, you first choose a faction and create an emblem. Only after that can you dive into the brutal melee battles. It can quickly happen that players give little thought to their faction choice and emblem (symbol) and select them carelessly.
As a result, some players wonder: Can I change my faction affiliation and emblem afterwards? How does that work?
This is how you create a new emblem and change your faction
Yes, it’s possible to change both. However, the option needs to be found first. In the “Customize” section of the main menu, there’s nothing related to the faction or emblem.
Instead, press “Social” in the main menu. The button for that is displayed at the top center of the screen. On PS4, it’s triangle. Now switch to the tab named “Profile.” Here you see your story and glory progress as well as other stats. Additionally, there is the emblem editor and the faction choice.
In the emblem editor, you can create up to four emblems, between which you can switch as you like. If you want to edit one of these emblems, press the edit button and then save the emblem afterwards.
You can also change your faction at any time; however, it’s not recommended. Because you will lose your entitlement to the rewards from the faction war. If you change your affiliation in the first round, you lose the rewards of the first round. If you switch after the first round, there are no seasonal rewards for you.

Transform items using patterns
The developer studio Portalarium announced another innovation for Shroud of the Avatar. This concerns patterns.
Using patterns, it is possible to give an item the appearance of another object without altering its stats. So, for example, if you forged a powerful sword but find one that you prefer the appearance of, which has worse stats, you just take the pattern of that item. This is intended to give players more freedom in customizing their heroes.
Shroud of the Avatar is currently in the last 20 percent of development according to Portalarium and is set to be released in the second half of this year. The selective multiplayer role-playing game aims to combine the narrative structure of a single-player RPG with the online world of an MMORPG.

Two really “hot” mounts are waiting for all WoW players who are now going to play a few rounds of Heroes of the Storm with friends.

The task is relatively simple: During the event, 15 matches of Heroes of the Storm must be played, where you play as a hero from the Warcraft universe. At the same time, you must be in a group with at least one friend (from your friends list) when registering. It doesn’t matter which hero your friend chooses. The quest begins today, on February 15, 2017, and is available until March 14, 2017. Whether one can ever possess these animals again afterward is questionable. Collectors should invest some hours in the next few days and team up with a few friends.
The beta phases of For Honor were successful – millions of players experienced the melee carnage themselves.
Ubisoft announced figures for the beta phases of For Honor. According to the publisher, over 6 million players participated in the tests. In total, over two billion minutes were played on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Last weekend alone, more than 3 million players registered for the open beta. The tests, however, ran particularly well on PC: With 1.8 million participants, these were the largest PC beta phases in Ubisoft’s history.
