The loot from “Mythic+” instances remains an important topic in WoW. Blizzard is releasing new plans.
With Patch 7.2.5, the system for “Mythic+” dungeons in World of Warcraft is being revamped. We reported a few days ago that the bonus chests for completing a dungeon within a time limit will be removed.
But there are more changes coming for players. In the official forum, Community Manager Josh “Lore” Allen explained that there are new plans for particularly difficult instances.
With Patch 7.2.5 and the opening of the “Tomb of Sargeras,” level 15 (i.e. “Mythic +15”) represents the maximum difficulty through which the item level of rewards can be increased. If players venture into even more difficult dungeons, their items will not increase in value further. To provide players with incentives to tackle instances in the range of +15 to +20, the number of items at the end increases. This chance scales linearly and grows over 100% – and quickly too.
More loot over “Mythic +15”
Lore also mentioned an example. If, for instance, a “Mythic +15” Keystone is completed within the time limit, the group will receive a total of 3 items. 2 as a reward for the dungeon and another because the time limit was adhered to.
If the difficulty of the dungeon is further increased by a more challenging Keystone, then the chance to receive additional items grows.
At “Mythic +20,” there would then definitely be 5 items – 4 for completing the instance and another for adhering to the time limit.
This way, well-equipped groups should still have incentives to test their limits and use the Keystones even beyond “Mythic +15.”

What is changing today?
A changelog is not provided for today. The last bug fixes were made by Massive about a month ago. Since then, the focus has been on the PTS, the public test servers. In the past weeks, PC agents have tested update 1.6.1 there and identified bugs so that the developers can fix them early.
Today at around 5 PM, the State of the Game will take place, the weekly situation report from Massive. Presumably, there will be new information about update 1.6.1. We will report on it.
According to an insider report, BioWare Montreal, the studio behind “Mass Effect: Andromeda“, is set to be downsized. The “Mass Effect” franchise is currently on hold. It is said that developers are working on other projects within Electronic Arts.
As Kotaku reports, not much is expected to happen with the “Mass Effect” franchise after the latest game, “Andromeda”. BioWare has put “Mass Effect” on pause and has downgraded the developer “BioWare Montreal” to a “supporting studio”. This has been confirmed by four sources close to the company, says leak specialist Jason Schreier.
In the past, Schreier has repeatedly made headlines with “insider reports” about games like Destiny.
Mass Effect on “Pause” – BioWare is likely focusing on “Dylan”
This decision does not mean that there will never be another Mass Effect, but no immediate sequel to Mass Effect: Andromeda is expected to be developed.
As Kotaku further reports, team members have been assigned to “EA Motive” to work on Star Wars Battlefront 2. BioWare Montreal and EA Motive were already sharing a building.
Publisher Electronic Arts has responded ambiguously to these rumors upon inquiry from Kotaku – it sounds rather confirming. They state that team members are collaborating on other projects but do not mention that Mass Effect is on hold.
The teams within EA are working closely together, more closely than ever before. EAconfirms that BioWare Motive is assisting with Star Wars Battlefront 2. They also want to enhance the development of other BioWare projects.
EA says that BioWare’s focus remains on the community of Mass Effect Andromeda and the live service, but they are constantly looking at how to prepare for “future experiences”.
It is said that EA’s studios are currently brimming with creative talent worldwide. In the coming years, more is expected from BioWare.

The news from Kotaku comes after “official statements” from EA during their investor call. It was said that they were pleased with how Mass Effect: Andromeda was supported by BioWare. It received over 100 ratings of 80 or higher. They are proud of ME: Andromeda – even if they expected a higher average.

It’s also bad news for those who want to date two people at once. Previously, due to a bug, it was possible to pursue a relationship with both Peebee and Cora or with Peebee and Vetra at the same time. This has now been fixed and the ladies will likely not think much of Ryder’s infidelity.
Aside from that, there’s a lot of “minor stuff”, such as improved stability and adjustments to subtitles for better readability.

Publisher Electronic Arts has published its financial figures for fiscal year 2017, which ended on March 31. The company generated a total revenue of 4.8 billion USD. What is the TOTW in FIFA 17?
Every Wednesday, EA Sports reveals the Team of the Week in the “Ultimate Team” mode of their annual football simulation, including FIFA 17. Players who performed outstandingly in real football during the past week are rewarded with special cards that possess enhanced attributes.
You can draw the TOTW cards within a week from those sets that may contain rare (gold) players. However, the chances of this happening are considered low. Additionally, it is possible to buy them on the transfer market if they are offered by other players. However, the prices are usually extremely high.
Fans have been waiting a long time to be able to save their PotGs more easily in Overwatch . This was promised months ago.
If you make a particularly cool play in Overwatch and earn the “Play of the Game,” it is currently difficult to share that with the world. While the last 5 “Play of the Game” moments are saved in Overwatch (on PC), once the game is over, the recordings are gone. “This is the current focus of our feature team (a smaller development team within the Overwatch team). The team is working very hard on this and has been for months. Expect more details early this summer.”
“Early this summer” probably means in about 2-3 months, so in the next major patch coming up for Overwatch.

After a long wait, WoW players can finally access the Arsenal again. There are also a few new features.
With the launch of the “Legion” expansion, Blizzard began radically redesigning the website for World of Warcraft. Once the basic framework was established – including news, forums, and account management – it became clear that many features were still not implemented. After almost half a year, Blizzard has finally reactivated the Arsenal and updated it to the latest standards.
The Arsenal lists all characters from World of Warcraft, as long as they have been active at least once in the last few months and have reached level 10. In addition to the character’s current equipment, many other pieces of information can also be obtained there. What achievements has a player already completed, and when did they earn them? Which mounts are in their collection? Which raid bosses have they defeated, and at what difficulty level?
Especially raid guilds looking to recruit new players can quickly get an overview of a player’s “career” and current status.
However, there is also criticism of the Arsenal. Many players complain in the comments that there is no way to view the chosen PvP talents of a character, making it harder to understand the strategies of rivals and idols.
The reputation of each character can even be viewed.
Some other players are dissatisfied that they cannot disable the Arsenal for their characters. They do not want others to see when they completed certain achievements and at what times they played, and they refer to this as the “glass player” phenomenon.

In World of Warcraft, the Spring Balloon Festival is calling. If you need a few minutes of relaxation, make sure to secure a spot!
Currently, one of the new micro-holidays is taking place in World of Warcraft again. The Spring Balloon Festival has arrived in Azeroth for a few days and entices with various balloon rides starting all over Azeroth. Just open your world map and look for the little red X marks. Hot air balloons are ready for departure there. Speak with the respective NPC and wait until two other players have joined.
Afterwards, you will experience a tour over the respective area. The NPCs try to engage players in conversations – and sometimes even respond to your answers! They ask you questions like “What do the Nightborne feed on?” and depending on your correct answer, the dialogues change a bit.

A possible fire event could soon start in Pokémon GO. What bonuses and rewards should there be at the fire event?
In recent days, players in Pokémon GO have noticed an increase in Grass-type Pokémon. This was related to the “Global Blooming,” which was active as a special Grass-type Pokémon event in the game. Now, after the event has ended, the community is thinking about the next event. A possible successor could be a fire event, representing another starter Pokémon type after Grass and Water. However, there are no hints from Niantic regarding another type event yet.

A fire event at the start of summer would be fitting. We and other trainers in the community speculate that an event featuring Fire-type Pokémon would be a logical successor. Conveniently, the start of summer on June 21 is about six weeks away. This would align with the intervals of the last two events, which were also about six weeks apart.

The Water event (Water Festival) started on March 22, 2017, and raised the chances for Squirtle, Croagunk, and other Water-type Pokémon, as well as a Magikarp hat.
The Grass event (Global Blooming) started on May 5, 2017, about six weeks after the Water event. It raised the chances for Bulbasaur, Chikorita, and other Grass-type Pokémon, as well as extended the duration of lure modules.
After Grass and Water already utilized two elements of the typical starter monsters in Pokémon, Fire would be the next logical step: Even in the 1st Pokémon generation on the Gameboy, trainers could choose between Bulbasaur (Grass), Squirtle (Water), and Charmander (Fire). Other Fire-type Pokémon like Growlithe or Ponyta could also appear more frequently in the wild during the active event.
As appropriate bonuses, there would be many possibilities in the game. An extension of the duration of lure modules could help trainers complete their collection faster. A bonus for candy rewards would certainly please some trainers, as they could evolve Pokémon faster.
For a fire event in Pokémon GO, there are many possibilities that the developers could implement. Now we have to wait and see if Niantic really plans such an event. There is no official info yet. I know, I know. By now, some of you are fed up with me getting worked up about World of Warcraft. But it needs to be said one last time – at least for this month.
Basically, I think the idea of stretched content is quite good. It feels nice when you get a new quest line every week, instead of having “slogged through” all the content on the first weekend and then sitting dry for months.
But what World of Warcraft did with Patch 7.2 really makes me angry. The beginning of Patch 7.2 was still quite alright. There were several quests, a few exciting contents for the Order campaign, and new companions. “Everything is fine,” one would say.
WoW: Filler Quests with No Story
But for almost 3 weeks, I feel completely mocked by World of Warcraft.
First, for a quest you had to collect 100 Sentinax Tokens – basically a “Kill 100 elite demons or a few bosses” quest.
Last week, 10 world quests were to be completed.
This week, I am supposed to kill 100 demons that are lurking somewhere at the proverbial “end of the world”.
This is a quest design I only know from very, very dark “Silkroad” days.
Or to put it bluntly: For almost a month, the new quests of World of Warcraft have absolutely no story content left. They are mindless “filler” quests, where I actually wonder if those at Blizzard are playing the “You would never dare” game, where a particularly tough developer repeatedly proves that they do dare.
Honestly, I’m hesitant to even check the database on wowhead to see what the glorious quest next week could be. Because I am slowly reaching a point where I am really considering disappearing from Azeroth for a few weeks. At least the weekly quests of the “Tomb of Sargeras campaign” are not worth it right now.
But okay. That should be enough for now regarding World of Warcraft. Fortunately, a new killer in Dead by Daylight is coming out tomorrow – that should certainly provide some fun or a lot of frustration…
