The Overwatch YouTuber “ohnickel” became a victim of a troll attack. The particularly bold approach is causing the “scandal of the month” on Reddit.
Thanks to the wonderful freedom of the internet, some users develop rather dark traits aimed solely at leading others into ruin. Trolls have been on the rise for years, ruining the sensible person’s enjoyment of the World Wide Web.
In recent days, it hit the YouTuber ohnickel, who with his currently more than 770,000 subscribers is one of the larger Overwatch YouTubers. Almost “overnight,” hell broke loose for him, as he became a victim of a rather shameless troll attack that cost him numerous subscribers and brought a lot of hate.
But what had happened?
Ohnickel has, thanks to his large reach, repeatedly held small giveaways where he gifted games to members of his community.
Troll pretended to be a winner
The troll checked the list of winners from the numerous giveaways and made sure which individuals did not have a Reddit account. He quickly created an account himself and claimed – while posing as a “winner” – that he had never received the corresponding games from the giveaways. He repeated this by creating additional accounts “in the name of the winners” and confirming himself. This was fed with fake screenshot evidence.
This “scandal” had direct consequences for Ohnickel. On Twitter, he received hundreds of insults, ranging from “Die, you traitor” to “You are human trash.”
Ohnickel addressed the allegations in a new video and explained, that it is all a fake. He stated that he had handled each of his giveaways properly and contacted the winners. The actual winners have since spoken out and shown that they indeed received their games and that Ohnickel is merely the victim of a troll here.

The classic sandbox MMORPG Darkfall is back. Darkfall: Rise of Agon aims to lead the online game into the future.
The servers of the MMORPG Darkfall opened in 2009. The developer studio Aventurine wanted to push the genre forward in a direction that hardcore fans of the genre desired. In the sandbox, there were no major rules, open PvP, and generally, every step you took in the game world was dangerous. You couldn’t trust anyone, yet that created a certain allure. However, it wasn’t for a large number of players, as the servers for the MMORPG were closed again in 2012.
Darkfall is back!

Darkfall: Rise of Agon is one of these projects and officially launched on May 5. It welcomes not only all fans of the original but also all MMO players seeking a classic gaming experience like that of the early days of the genre.
The launch was well-received. On the first day, around 5,000 unique users logged into the server, which briefly went down under the load. However, a quickly released patch fixed this issue. Currently, the operators report about 2,000 concurrently active players.
The team is now focusing on finding bugs and optimizing the player experience. Once that is done, new content will be integrated. This is expected to include new quests, monsters, and much more.
A classic MMORPG
Darkfall: Rise of Agon offers a classic MMORPG experience. The focus is not on quests, although there are some in the game. Rather, each player should write their own story in the world and not be restricted in how they proceed.
