In The Division, we present a build centered around the Striker set. With this, you’ll clean up nicely in New York!
For almost two weeks now, loadouts have been in the game. Now you can create, save, and quickly switch between up to six builds.
If you’re looking for a new build idea, Agent Lt Buzz Litebeer has a suggestion for you. He presents his “Solo Striker” build, which turns his character into a PvE killing machine. What can this build do?

A Striker Build for Solo Agents – The Division 1.6.1
This character setup does not rely on high electronics stats or skills like the seeker mine, but is focused on DPS and raw firepower. The agent is convinced that it is the best build to fight through elite enemies in PvE.
These are the armor pieces:
Chest piece: Striker – with bonuses to enemy armor damage, health points, and ammo capacity (mods for firearms and health points)
Mask: Striker – with bonuses to health points on kill and “Blind and Deaf” resistance (mod for firearms and health points)
Knee pads: Striker – with bonuses to health points, damage to elite, and “On Fire” resistance (mod with firearms and health points as well as first aid self-healing)
Holster: Striker – with bonuses to reload speed (mod with first aid self-healing)
Backpack: Nomad – with bonuses to stability and “On Fire” resistance (mod with firearms, health points, and first aid self-healing)
Gloves: Nomad – with bonuses to assault rifle damage, crit damage, and health points on kill
With the Striker’s combat gear, you gain +20% stability, +10% enemy armor damage, and the bonus that each successive hit deals +1% more damage. The bonus can reach up to 100%. Misses decrease it by 2%. The bonus decreases by 1% per second.
The 2-piece bonus from the Nomad grants +15% health points on kill. This bonus is important for this build, as you deal a lot of damage but must be careful how you stay alive. This bonus increases your chances of survival.
The weapon of the build
The primary weapon is the assault rifle M4 Lightweight. It has an enemy armor damage of 23% (very high) as well as the talents Brutal (+12% headshot damage), Vulnerable (+10% damage when within 10 meters of the enemy), and Vindictive (damage increases based on missing health). For the mods, a larger magazine, headshot damage, and crits are focused on.
The skills:
First Aid with the Overdose mod
Medical Station with the Savior mod
The character talents:
Adrenaline: The “First Aid Kit” heals for 10 seconds and does not stop healing when taking damage
Emergency Medicine: A first aid kit at low health increases damage resistance by 20% for 10 seconds
On the Move: Killing an enemy while in motion reduces damage taken by 15% for 10 seconds
One is None: A headshot gives a 50% chance to not consume the bullet
In Destiny 2 a long-held player wish is fulfilled: automatic matchmaking for the really tough challenges, a raid finder. But this only works on Bungie’s terms. Is Bungie’s solution better than WoW’s weakened LFR raids?
We previously reported that Destiny 2 fulfills some of the players’ major wishes, but not in the way they envisioned.
The wish to “finally fix the balancing” results in Destiny 2, for example, in no percentage changes, but a new “weapon system.”
In a similar way, Bungie fulfills another old player wish: matchmaking – even for raids.
Like WoW a few years ago, Destiny also wants to get as many players as possible to raid but is taking different approaches than WoW.
The Wish
In Destiny 1, automatic matchmaking works for almost everything except really difficult things like the 3-man Nightfall strike (PvE/Nightfall), the 3-man Trials of Osiris (PvP), or the 6-man raid (PvE).
The players also wish for automatic matchmaking for these tough activities.
In Destiny 1, players helped each other
Players solved the issue of missing matchmaking for these activities in Destiny 1 by themselves:
Players organized themselves into fixed groups through the friends function of their console networks
Streamers offered to take fans along for the Trials of Osiris and help them achieve a flawless ticket – thereby gaining views and fans
Matchmaking was outsourced from Destiny 1 to other websites or services.
Only 50% of players have seen the raid – hurdle for social contact too high
However: It hasn’t really worked “super” – especially in PvE.
As Bungie announced, only 50% of all players in Destiny 1 have seen a raid. And Bungie is so proud of the raids. So a solution is needed, more people should at least try the raids and the endgame of Destiny.
The problem is: the hurdle is too high to reach out to other people through Facebook groups and approach strangers. Time and again, players express they don’t want to do that. They expect to find a group within Destiny – not outside of it.
This is what players wanted
The players’ demand was : automatic matchmaking for everything – I want to press a button and then be in a group and start.
However, Bungie was against this demand, stating: If six completely strangers join a raid and don’t communicate, they often die, are frustrated, and have a bad gaming experience. We definitely don’t want that.
According to Bungie, these “hard activities” are designed for groups where the guardians communicate with each other – meaning they use voice chat and are so closely connected that setbacks don’t lead to the group breaking up immediately.
This is how Bungie is solving it in Destiny 2 – Guided Games
Bungie’s solution: existing groups can take on “individual players” through a matchmaking system. The idea is, that the existing group does most of the work and the individual players learn to adapt and cope with them. The motto is: four people know what they are doing – the other two just do what everyone else does, and it’ll be fine.
Bungie’s intention is clear: they want to encourage individual players to join groups. From “mixed team of 4+2” fixed teams should emerge.
It’s an interesting concept – gently guiding players to where they want them to be. The idea is: once lone wolves have overcome the hurdle of playing with others in raids, they will see how great and easy it is – the hurdle lowers and the matter is settled.
Interesting social experiment, but hopefully the raids won’t be too easy now
However: Problems and questions are already emerging with the new system:
The question is whether Bungie will also adjust the difficulty of the raid. Even in Destiny 1, a lot of players wished for the Nightfall and the raids to be more challenging. Especially the “hard modes” of the raid should have been more challenging. If the raids are now designed to be cleared by “4+2”, raids could be made easier.
Another danger is also clear: If a raid goes wrong, the “others” are to blame: the so-called “randoms”, the randomly taken players, are too weak and become the scapegoats – this could also lead to difficulties in the Trials of Osiris.
Will enough fixed groups take on new players to keep the waiting time manageable?
Will it be possible to specifically search for German groups?
These are the risks and still open questions of the new Guided Games system.
LFR variant with “kindergarten raids” like in WoW would have been an option
In the MMORPG WoW, they had the same problem as Destiny 1 : too few people saw the raids. Many developer hours and important story steps are hidden in the raids. It’s frustrating when players keep hearing about a villain in quests but never see him because he’s the final boss in a raid they will never enter.
In WoW, Blizzard created a “kindergarten edition” of the raid at the end of 2011, which could also be completed by a group without any communication or coordination: the LFR raids. These were introduced at the end of the 3rd WoW expansion “Cataclysm.”
Players were allowed to enter these “LFR raids” through an automated matchmaking system. This led to every WoW player being able to see the raids without any problems.
However: the loot in this version of the raid was significantly weaker than the loot in the “real raid.”
This would also have been a possible solution for Destiny 2. But: In WoW, they had only mediocre experiences with the “LFR raids.” Some WoW players believe that this solution devalued the entire raiding experience in WoW, trivializing the raids. The appeal of the “real raiding” has disappeared, it’s no longer special.
The “Guided Games” groups, with the 4+2 composition, will be in the same raids as the 6-man groups.
It’s definitely an interesting experiment. It will be exciting to see if Bungie’s solution works. If it does, it could become a widely used answer to a common MMORPG problem: too few players seeing the end content.
With Destiny 2, developers from other online games with strong PvE elements will surely scrutinize Destiny 2 and its Guided Games closely. Perhaps Bungie has come up with an innovative solution.
What do you think? Would you join a raid group as an individual player? Or would you complement your raid as part of an existing group?
The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online was intended to reach a mass audience, but only attracted hardcore MMO players. This needed to change.
The site Glixel conducted an interview with the head of ESO, Matt Firor. This sheds light on some new facts.
Skyrim changed the development
Producer Matt Firor.
Without Skyrim, ESO would have looked different than we know it today.
The first systems for ESO emerged between 2008 and 2010 – back then, players had different ideas about what a “The Elder Scrolls” should be, then came 2011 and Skyrim. This changed player perception. Suddenly, levels in Elder Scrolls were no longer important.
Even then, there were considerations at ESO to do away with player levels, but it was ultimately decided against this, as the step would have been too drastic to redesign an existing massive, level-based world.
Ultimately, this step was taken with “One Tamriel” – levels now played a significantly smaller role than at launch. Most game content was now level-independent and accessible to everyone.
The Skyrim-ification of The Elder Scrolls Online began during development
Even though this point was implemented a few years late: Skyrim had a significant influence on ESO during development:
Due to Skyrim
ESO switched to first-person perspective
ESO adopted a smaller hotbar
ESO moved combat to the mouse buttons
Zenimax overall did much to make the game feel less like an MMO and more like an RPG.
Success eluded at launch
At launch in 2014, The Elder Scrolls Online still fell short of high expectations. According to Firor, it was not a flop in that sense, but it could not reach the “mass market” that the Elder Scrolls single-player games had.
Zenimax had expected to reach the “mass of users”, the fans of Elder Scrolls, with ESO, but instead received “hardcore MMO gamers.” They logged in every day and played.
Zenimax oriented itself around them when reshaping the game. Firor says: We simply did more of what the players wanted and less of what they didn’t want. For this, data collected and personal experience were utilized.
For the Justice system, for example, players wanted to go out and steal something – so they were given the ability to do it in a sandbox form without quests.
If you have something to build on, you can also be successful
Firor was already of the opinion in 2014 that ESO was fundamentally something good. You just had to loosen the systems and free the players from constraints, then success would follow, Firor believed.
You had players who played every day and thus something to build on. And when you have something to build on, you can make it more successful, thinks Firor.
Through the Champion system, players should now be able to customize their heroes as they wish, without having to grind veteran levels.
The mood in the studio after the release was never really down despite the issues; the sentiment was: “Okay, we did this so far. That didn’t work. We didn’t see that coming, but we can handle it.”
Head angry that there are no underwater contents in ESO
Meanwhile, success has arrived. However, Firor is still a bit bothered by one thing. He is a big fan of “underwater content.”
But … the Elder Scrolls series is not known for excelling here. Plans for underwater content were scrapped one day because there wasn’t enough time. Firor says: “I was pretty pissed about that, but it was probably just me.” Firor seems to have made peace with it now.
We are now really successful
They are now “really successful”, a lot of people play the game, they are now in Japan and are doing a lot of different things. At the moment, they are effectively rebranding the game as “Morrowind,” bringing new players to ESO and have created a new tutorial.
Anyone who has never played the old ESO can now simply jump in with Morrowind. They are really doing a lot of cool things and that is only possible because they were successful enough to play a bit with the formula.
On Tuesday, the next chapter in the history of The Elder Scrolls Online, the Morrowind expansion, begins. We were able to test it already:
Finally, the time has come – players can earn their special class mounts in World of Warcraft. What you need to do can be found here.
At the last BlizzCon, it was one of the major topics – the contents of World of Warcraft Patch 7.2. One of the most desired features was the class-specific mounts, which were presented more than half a year ago. When Patch 7.2 went live more than two months ago, disappointment was great – the mounts are only available at the end of a weeks-long quest chain. But now the time has finally come! Starting tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 06.06.2017), the different Class Mounts can be unlocked.

If you are just now starting the quest chain on the Broken Shore, you have a lot of work ahead of you. In the past two months, a new quest has been unlocked every week. Only at the very end of all these quest lines of the Legion judges is the achievement “Assault on the Tomb” and thus access to the class mount.
If you plan to complete it “in one go”, you should allow a little more time. Because among other things, 10 world quests on the Broken Shore must be completed, a Legion invasion must be fended off, and a specific order mission must be completed. The entire achievement will therefore take several days even in the fastest case.
However, those who have stayed “on the ball” so far should already be able to complete the last step starting tomorrow, which will once again begin on the Broken Shore.
The class-specific mounts are a great way to gain a bit more individuality in World of Warcraft. Almost all mounts receive a special coloring for their respective specialization. Thus, even within the same class, there is variety.
Roadhog’s Hook is finally fixed? Not at all! Our Plays of the Game from Overwatch show what funny things are now possible.
Every week, absurd, thrilling, or simply funny moments happen in Overwatch , often captured in a “Play of the Game”. We searched social media and picked out three special highlights for you. Enjoy our 3 “Plays of the Game” moments of the week in Overwatch!
Whoever is the coolest kid on the playground in Overwatch spices up their “Play of the Game” with a fitting spray logo or emote. The really stylish moves happen when you spray the logo just before the actual moment. This happened to Brizzle as Reaper on the map Eichenwalde. After he killed some enemies and then resurrected Mercy, he knew that his time had come. It’s only barely visible in the recording, but the “Sarcastic Shrug” spray couldn’t be set more perfectly!

Roadhog’s Hook has a long history full of bugs and strange behaviors. Even in its current version, it’s not perfect yet. Pros like ScrapDraft have already perfected it and exploit a new quirk. If you break your line of sight to the hook’s victim at just the right moment, the hook won’t break but instead hurls the target towards Roadhog – and beyond! This video shows how that looks in action, including an unbelieving WHAT from the opponent.

The Reinhardt Express often leads to complete kill streaks. Often, 2 or 3 opponents fly off the map at the same time. But when everything aligns, you can take a few more enemies along over the river Jordan! Indjim shows what a flawless charge looks like – this should certainly secure the control point for his team.

A leak suggests that a manager simulator is planned for League of Legends, where you can become the boss of an eSports team.
There are already successful simulators for various game genres, where you can become managers or bosses of football clubs or transport companies. A manager simulation for League of Legends could be just right for fans who are frustrated with managing their favorite LoL team and think they could do it better themselves.
A leak shows images of such a mobile game that Tencent is allegedly working on.
LoL Simulator “Code Season 7”
According to a leak from the Chinese forum site “NGA”, Tencent is currently working on a mobile game called Code Season Seven. In this game, you can lead your own League of Legends team and make important decisions.
Based on the leaked screenshots, it is suspected that Code Season 7 has all the important licenses to use team logos. For example, you can see the logos of RNG, Echo Fox, and KT Rolster there.
In the following tweet, you can see the leaked images from the forum:

In one screenshot, you can also see that the player “Rookie” has killed his opponent “Faker”. It is therefore suspected that the game even has the rights to use the real player names from the professional scene of League of Legends.
Manager simulators are popular among players, as can be seen from the large number of football managers available online. It is quite possible that such a simulation will also be implemented for the eSports sector. A game that focuses on the Korean StarCraft 2 scene is SC2VN. However, it looks more like a novel in which players can participate.
There is still no official statement from Tencent regarding Code Season 7. Therefore, it is difficult to say whether the game will be released worldwide.
The encounter designer of World of Warcraft reveals how to develop new raids and what the developers pay particular attention to.

When designing new raids, there is one exception for each expansion: the first raid is always easier than all the following ones. The reason for this is the high chance that the first raid instance will be the first raid for many players.
Here, newcomers can still have a bit of fun and achieve successes more quickly. In the patches that follow, less consideration is taken, which is why the Trial of Valor, the Night Hold, and the Tomb of Sargeras are each harder than the Emerald Nightmare.
The development of boss fights often takes strange turns. It frequently happens that developers create a fight designed for the “normal” difficulty. During the first testing, they then notice that the fight has so many mechanics that it is actually already a “mythic” encounter. Then, numbers are often adjusted (damage, cooldowns, etc.) and abilities for the easier difficulty levels are removed or otherwise adjusted.
Not every raid needs a mythic bonus phase
With end bosses, there is often a “hidden” boss on mythic or a special phase that only exists in the mythic difficulty. However, contrary to what fans expect, this is not set in stone.
The developers simply look to see if something presents itself – like the additional “The Demon Within” phase in the Gul’dan fight. However, there is no fixed concept that every raid must have an “extra phase” on mythic.
By the way, in the Tomb of Sargeras, we can expect that the environment of a fight will be much more incorporated into the fight. This is likely to include destructible platforms and “Line of Sight” pillars.

The fantasy MMORPG Ashes of Creation has come into conflict with the gaming press. It concerns the controversial referral model.
Ashes of Creation: Crowdfunding continues in June
Ashes of Creation is a fantasy MMORPG that has made headlines in recent weeks with a successful Kickstarter campaign. The highly ambitious project has raised $3,271,809. The Kickstarter campaign has now ended, but it will still accept money through crowdfunding.
Ashes of Creation says: We will continue crowdfunding in June via our own website to accommodate everyone who prefers to pay via PayPal, which Kickstarter does not support.
Referral issues and communication difficulties
While the Kickstarter campaign was still running, one of the largest gaming sites in the world, PC Gamer, critically examined the model behind “Ashes of Creation”.
One author introduced the game and noted some “problems”, such as the Ashes of Creation team lacking references and experience. Therefore, it is questionable whether they can truly achieve their lofty goals.
The main point of criticism is the company’s “referral system”: People receive money (15%) for getting others to sign up for the game through their referral links and ultimately spending money in Ashes of Creation. This primarily motivates YouTubers with large audiences to promote the game.
Interestingly, these referral rewards can also be cashed out.
The problem: Such a referral system actually contradicts the rules of Kickstarter. Anyone participating in a project through Kickstarter cannot financially benefit from it.
Then the issue gets a bit complicated:
In the PC Gamer article, it was mentioned that they had inquired with Kickstarter what they thought of the referral system. It would be against the rules of Kickstarter. Following this, Kickstarter contacted Ashes of Creation, and they removed the referral: Kickstarter donations no longer counted towards this referral program.
“That’s a flat-out lie” – Misunderstanding was likely Kickstarter’s fault
However, that was not true. The studio did not implement these changes.
The head of Ashes of Creation feels that he and his game have been treated unfairly by the article. He accuses PC Gamer of lying: “That’s a flat-out lie.” Kickstarter did not require the change.
The problem is likely: Kickstarter thought that they had demanded changes from Ashes of Creation – but they formulated so vaguely what exactly they should change that they now want to let the matter rest. In the future, they intend to communicate such matters more clearly.

According to information from MassivelyOp, the “Ashes of Creation” head, Steven Sharif, reacted quite strongly to the PC Gamer article. The author wants to ride the hype wave with “clickbait” titles. He is looking for a fight and has an agenda.
It had already become evident that the head of Ashes of Creation, Steven Sharif, has a critical view of the media. Sharif seems to believe that media only report on a game when it simultaneously launches a large advertisement campaign. That was one of his motivations to implement a referral system.
A release of Ashes of Creation for PC is planned for late 2018.
Crowdfunding needs success stories
Mein-MMO thinks: I have the feeling that we will be dealing with conflicts around Ashes of Creation more often. The studio seems to feel comfortable in a “us against everyone” role and is currently treading new paths with the referral system. That is perfectly fine. The critical stance against established media is understandable in the role of the underdog, who is vying for attention against marketing giants like Ubisoft or Activision.
Well, one could have spared the stress and communicated privately, but that’s beside the point.
However: Doubts about whether Ashes of Creation will achieve its truly lofty goals will remain. Just as doubts persist regarding comparable indie MMORPGs.
We can only keep our fingers crossed that Ashes of Creation succeeds. The “crowdfunding” concept needs success stories, and not just “we were successfully funded,” but also in the second part “and then we went on and developed a really great game.”
Sharif has a background in controversial “multi-level marketing”; we have dealt with the topic here:
A particularly insidious form of cheating is currently spreading in Overwatch . Beware of friend requests!
Cheaters and fraudsters are a serious problem not only on PC but also on the console versions of Overwatch. On PlayStation 4, there is now a particularly severe case that is currently making the rounds on social media and Reddit.
The player in question joins ranked matches and then sends friend requests to all opponents. Due to a bug, it is currently possible to obtain the respective player’s IP address this way. Following that, a DDoS attack ensues – the opponent’s connection is bombarded with so many requests that it can’t keep up, resulting in massive lag and ultimately disconnecting from the game. The end result: one team fights with fewer players, making victory relatively easy.
The respective player has already been in the “Top 500” multiple times and also boasts that you should “cry to Blizzard if you want something done” – a clear provocation.
But it gets worse. The aforementioned player also brags publicly about his actions and celebrates what he does. This includes other offenses, such as threatening his own team – as many do not want to support a cheater and therefore allow the (weakened) opponent team to win.
Currently, there is no “report” function on PS4 and Xbox One. This will be added in a future patch. However, it is still uncertain whether the bug or security hole regarding the retrieval of the IP address will be fixed by then.
At the latest, after this media attention, it shouldn’t take long for Blizzard to put a stop to the player – as he has been playing with the same account since the first season.
If you are playing on PS4, keep in mind: At least at the start of a match, do not accept friend requests from opponents!
A leak reveals a Fire and Ice event for Pokémon GO, which is allegedly supposed to start in June. More Charmander and Articuno are to be expected for Trainers.
It is likely that the next big event in Pokémon GO will take place on June 13. As a leak now reveals, the Fire and Ice event is supposed to start on that day to celebrate the beginning of summer and winter.
We explicitly point out at this point that this is not a confirmed event, but rather a leak. Even if the source of the leak has accurately predicted other events, you should take this information with caution and not rely on it.
The leaked announcement states that the event will start on June 13 and will be active for a week until June 20. During this time, there will be increased encounters with Fire and Ice Pokémon in the wild. Additionally, there will be extra experience for special ball throws like the curveball and for eggs that hatch. As a discount in the shop, lucky eggs are supposed to be available for half the usual price.
According to the leak, the following Pokémon are supposed to appear more frequently:
Charmander
Cyndaquil
Houndour
Herdier
Rapidash
Spheal
Vulpix
Sneasel
Magmar
Articuno
The alleged message for Trainers includes the following information:
Trainers, summer is approaching in the northern hemisphere and winter in the southern hemisphere. We couldn’t find a better time to celebrate the Fire and Ice event in Pokémon GO with you.
Starting June 13 at 1 PM PDT (approximately 10:00 PM German time) until June 20 at 1 PM PDT (approximately 10:00 PM German time), Trainers around the world will find more Pokémon like Charmander, Cyndaquil, Houndour, Herdier, Rapidash, Spheal, Vulpix, and their evolutions. You can also find Sneasel, Magmar, Articuno, and other Fire and Ice types during the event.
During the event time, you will receive more experience points for special throw bonuses like “Nice Throw”, curveballs, or catches on the first throw. As you walk through the streets and catch Pokémon, you will also gain more experience for hatching eggs.
To make the most of these bonuses, there are lucky eggs with a 50% discount in the shop.
Event for global events conceivable
An event to celebrate the beginning of summer and winter would fit with past events from Niantic. In Pokémon GO, major events like Halloween, Christmas, or Easter are celebrated and are aimed at a wide audience of players.
A Pentecost event in Pokémon GO would not typically be on the developers’ agenda because Pentecost does not hold the same significance in other parts of the world as it does here in Europe.
We’d like to emphasize again that this event is not officially confirmed!
It gives the impression that for the PC version, everything is primarily about releasing the “Omega Update” of the consoles for PC. Fans will have to wait for that. In the meantime, the event with numerous bonuses is active.
More about the launch on Xbox One and PS4 can be found here:
The action MMO Marvel Heroes Omega is now playable on PS4, and it should be coming to Xbox One soon. But the PC version is still the foundation. And it is struggling; only 2 new heroes are coming in 2017. Moreover, the developers want to abolish PvP.
PC players of Marvel Heroes feel neglected
Marvel Heroes on PS4 is a big deal. Additionally, the Xbox One fans are ready to go.
Suddenly, Marvel Heroes is “in” – after having lived for so long as a niche game, a hidden tip. It was the “number 3” behind Diablo 3 and Path of Exile – slowly it seems to be changing.
But the PC players of Marvel Heroes feel neglected. After all, they have remained loyal to the game all these years. Now they are paying for it with a slower development of their game, while everything is focused on the PS4 and Xbox One versions – that is at least how it seems.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeJrrJqxYUM
For months, the PC players of Marvel Heroes have been calling for new content, but after the “biggest update of all time” and the move to consoles, it has been quite silent.
4-week event in June 2017
To honor the loyalty of PC fans, Gazillion is announcing a 4th birthday event that will last a month.
During the entire event, there will be 150% EXP and other bonuses. In the next 3 weeks, various events and sales will take place. In the last week of June, from June 22 to June 28, all events will be active at the same time. You can read the exact details here.
PvP will be abolished – Only 2 new heroes in 2017 – Carnage and Odinson
In an interview with the US site Massivelyop, more details about the future of Marvel Heroes are brought to light:
There will be no changes made to the current version of PvP, as it is considered “irretrievable.” Over the course of the year, it will be completely removed. Competitive PvE, solo or in a group, is deemed more important. Long term, they think it’s great to build a better PvP experience, but Gazillion sees improving PvE leaderboards and tournaments as the better solution.
They promise PC players that there will be more for them after the big Omega Update is released on PC. Then both versions of Marvel Heroes will be developed “only a few percent slower” than if there was only one version. PC players will benefit from Marvel Heroes running on PS4 and Xbox One.
There are 2 new heroes planned for PC: Carnage is set to arrive in July, and in November Odinson (Unworthy Thor). They acknowledge that this is little. In the medium term, they aim to release six or eight new heroes per year.
It gives the impression that for the PC version, everything is primarily about releasing the “Omega Update” of the consoles for PC. Fans will have to wait for that. In the meantime, the event with numerous bonuses is active.

Fans are eagerly waiting for details about the PvP mode of Ghost Recon Wildlands. There may be new information at E3.
Are you looking forward to the planned PvP mode of Ghost Recon Wildlands? Yes? So are we. And that’s exactly why we would like to have more information about this important game feature.
Even before the release of Wildlands, the developers announced that the game would feature a PvP mode. Since then, not much has been said officially on this topic.
When will the PvP mode come to Wildlands?
In March, Ubisoft stated that there would be a PvP mode in Wildlands. Since then, the developers have not provided any further details or information on this subject.
In a recent Q&A session, the developers explained that they are aware of the high interest in the PvP mode. However, they cannot provide any precise details at this time and are telling interested fans to wait until summer when more information is expected to be available.
Ubisoft is currently considering how to integrate the free PvP update into the game. So far, it is only clear that players will be able to face off in four-on-four matches.
Ubisoft will be seen on Monday, June 12, during the E3 livestream. We hope that there will finally be more details about the PvP mode. Some possible details about this feature have already been shared by data miners.
Data miners uncover PvP content
More information about the mentioned mode was found by diligent data miners. While there is no guarantee that these findings will actually be implemented in the game, they provide an overview of what the developers planned.
And where does all this happen? Maps and AI opponents: Data mining also revealed a possible location for the PvP matches. A map with various pathways might be the venue for the PvP matches. Additionally, AI opponents could be present there. More information about the PvP map and AI opponents can be found here
Final Fantasy 14 Stormblood is about to be released and is more current than ever. But why should you even play the complex online role-playing game from Square Enix? A video provides the answer!
Final Fantasy XIV is a phenomenon. The online role-playing game from Square Enix started as a mega-flop and was a disgrace for the developer and the glorious tradition of the series. But instead of scrapping everything and forgetting it, they brought in the new lead developer Naoki Yoshida, who steered it around and relaunched Final Fantasy 14.
The result is a successful subscription-based RPG, which will soon become even bigger with the expansion Stormblood. But why should you even play FF14? What is so great about the game?
Final Fantasy XIV – Here’s why it’s so good!
Final Fantasy XIV offers many reasons why fans of online RPGs should play it. Ten of the most popular reasons have been summarized by the friendly YouTuber Charles from Austria in a video.
In the video, Charles presents, among other things, the cross-platform gameplay of FF14. Hardly any MMO offers the opportunity for console players and PC gamers to play together, but in FF14 it’s possible!

Additionally, there are extensive options in the editor, where you can create your ideal dream hero. Another highlight of the game, according to Charles, is the exciting story, which is continuously advanced with content patches. Furthermore, Charles praises the dynamic classes that you can switch at any time, as well as the beautiful graphics and music. We have embedded the video here for you; enjoy watching!
What do you think about Charles’ arguments for Final Fantasy XIV? Do you agree? Do you find Final Fantasy XIV great for other reasons? Or do you think that Final Fantasy XIV is praised completely unjustly? Let us know your opinion in the comments!
In Destiny 2 there will be a new social space: The Farm. What is known about it?
Destiny 2 begins with an attack by the Cabal Legion on the Tower. This is destroyed, the Vanguard and the Guardians are expelled. With this, you lose not only your home in the sequel, but also your most important social space.
The social spaces are the meeting points in Destiny, where you find important NPCs and vendors, where the vaults, the Cryptarchs, and the Eververse are located.
While Destiny 1 had the Felwinter Peak and the Vestian Outpost in the Reef as two additional social spaces, these will no longer exist in Destiny 2. Instead, you have only one meeting point: The Farm.
The Farm is in the EDZ, the largest Destiny world to date
This farm is located in the European Dead Zone, abbreviated as “EDZ”. According to the developers, this zone is about twice the size of any other world they have created for Destiny. Not only is the landscape extremely vast, but the amount of activities is tremendous.
In the EDZ, you will find, in addition to a forest, a military base of the Cabal Legion, and a cave system below the surface, the new social space in Destiny 2. This has often been referred to by the developers as “The Farm”, but in the in-game material, it is also mentioned as the “Guardian Camp”:
We already know that players will access the European Dead Zone and the Farm early in Destiny 2. Many Guardians have gathered here after the Cabal attack. They did not want to flee any longer, but instead wanted to become strong again as a community. An important NPC at this location is Hawthorne.
Hawthorne – In the background is a piece of the Traveler
What the new social space offers
The new social space did not arise in a random location. Near it lies a piece of the Traveler, as the community manager DeeJ reveals. This “shard” broke off from the Traveler during the downfall of the Golden Age and is the structure shown in several scenes of the video material for Destiny 2:
This piece is expected to play a crucial role in the story of Destiny 2. After all, it is part of the Traveler – the source of the Guardians’ power.
The Farm is supposed to have a similar yet evolved function as the social spaces in Destiny 1. Here you talk to NPCs, here you prepare to embark on new missions, and to become stronger.
There should also be some things that serve only for fun. In Destiny 1, you could only dance with your buddies if you wanted to fool around, according to DeeJ. In Destiny 2, however, you will discover things on the Farm that make the world feel “livelier”, adding more fun. These show that even though Destiny 2 is set in a post-apocalyptic setting, the Guardians fight for a vibrant society and a hopeful future. Therefore, there must also be moments of joy.
It has already been seen in gameplay material that there will be a kind of soccer on the Farm. In Destiny 1, there were balls, but now goals are also set up, and once a goal is scored, fireworks will be set off:
More info about the Farm:
It is the only social space in Destiny 2. With future updates, this meeting point can be expanded.
Up to 26 players can be in one instance at the same time:
A Cryptarch has already been discovered:
There will be a post office and vendors again (this is derived from an interview with Luke Smith).
Whether the previous factions will also return remains to be seen.
In short: the Farm is supposed to be a place where you enjoy spending your time. Where you can play mini-games with your friends and prepare for the next adventures.
Microsoft is taking action against cheaters. A new cheat protection could be integrated directly into Windows 10.
Cheaters, botters, and fraudsters of all kinds ruin the online gaming experience for everyone involved. The fight against such third-party software or other cheating methods is often a daunting task. But now someone is stepping into the fight who was not expected – Microsoft.
According to “Insider” reports, the latest test version of Windows 10, the Insider Preview Build 16199, includes a new feature called “Game Monitor,” which can be enabled and disabled in the Windows settings. The translation of the feature description is as follows:
“Gaming is more fun when everyone plays fair. We share system information with the games to ensure everything runs as intended. If you disable this feature, it may reduce the number of games you can play.”
This new tab and feature were added without much announcement. The Game Monitor currently seems to have no impact, as it looks.
In plain terms, this likely means that games will want to access this feature in the future. If users do not allow it, then the game or online features will not be available.
Whether Microsoft is entering into a partnership with various publishers and game developers to make games safer from cheaters or is offering this feature solely for its own produced games is still unknown. Certainly, Microsoft will issue a statement on this within the next few weeks – at the latest by the release of the current version of Windows 10.
However, this could mainly be a protection against piracy. Time will tell. More information about the feature is expected at E3 2017.
If you enjoy a lot of skin and little clothing, you will surely have fun with the beach skins from Heroes of the Storm!
The hot days have begun, and that means summer clothing not only in the real world. In Heroes of the Storm, heroes also shed their shells and are given beachwear to survive the summer months.
The highlight is likely Tychus, who charges into battle dressed only in swim trunks, showcasing his body. Always with him is (of course) his big gun, which he has repurposed as a water gun – every kid in the neighborhood would look outdated next to his SuperSoaker.
Also new is Tracer with her “Slip ‘n Stream” skin, which also wraps her in a revealing swimsuit. The pistols have been replaced with water guns, and the ultimate is now a water bomb. Sticky water bombs are already high-tech.

Additionally, there are a few skins that do not follow any specific theme. Murky receives the “Sir Murkalot” skin, battling like a crusader. “Blood Raven” Sylvanas likes a lot of bones.
Also, there are new variations for the mounts. A surfboard complete with a wave can now carry heroes across the battlefields, just like the new “Emoticon” cloud, which displays three different emotional states – depending on how salty you’re feeling.
New sprays, banners, and display images round off the total package. There is yet no specific date for all this content, but most of it is likely to arrive in the game alongside Malthael. The Archangel of Death is set to be released next week.
In the “beach episode” of Overwatch , things are getting heated. Bare skin and plenty of fanfiction await.
Since summer has already started a bit earlier this year, a getaway at the beach or a lake seems particularly appealing – this also applies to the heroes from Overwatch. A few cosplayers have come together to recreate a relaxed day at the beach.
Overwatch Cosplayers Spend a Day at the Sea
The whole thing is accompanied only by the sound files that the hero shooter Overwatch provides. You can check out how it looks when Tracer, Mercy, Pharah, Soldier: 76, Hanzo, and McCree spend a relaxed day at the beach. It’s hardly necessary to mention that certain ultimates with water guns are a bit unfair in a water fight.

The Youtube channel Deerstalker Pictures was inspired by a common cliche from the anime genre. In almost every series, there is a “beach episode” that often has little or nothing to do with the actual plot. Instead of intense battles or thrilling twists, it’s all about fan service, plenty of bare skin, and of course, “accidents” that bring the characters closer together.
In “Baewatch”, this has been picked up and several popular pairings from the fanfiction community have been included. The romance “McHanzo” is briefly hinted at – because who hasn’t always wanted McCree to rub sunscreen on his best friend Hanzo? But fans of “Pharmercy” also get to see their favorite couple – at least until “Mama” Ana intervenes and puts an end to her daughter’s indecent antics.
Of course, Genji must not be missed – he stands alone on the beach, far away from everyone else, calling for healing. Just as we know him.
Ash is the new tank lady in Paladins. Our author Leya tested her. Her verdict: Ash is really fun to play, but sometimes a bit too slow. Read her experience in the playtest report about the rammer Ash, the latest champion in Paladins.
Get out of my way, here I come! With Ash, I become the rammer who simply flings opponents away. No one gets on the control point that I just occupied. No one is allowed to even look at my payload. Otherwise, I’ll come with my pulse cannon and show everyone who’s the boss in the ring.
Ash’s cannon has ram horns, a fitting design. With kinetic explosions, the weapon flings opponents back.
Ash stands for strength and pride – This tank shows colors
As soon as Ash rides out of the base, her flag flies boldly and wildly behind her. She always carries the flag on her back armor, ready to mark her territory. Once she sets her sights on a target, she bites down hard. You shouldn’t hesitate to fight with Ash.
Her complete abilities are designed to shove enemies away and keep them at bay. Ash’s pulse cannon can knock opponents back with a kinetic explosion. Every opponent caught in the cone of the explosion flies back a good distance. With her shoulder charge, she rushes forward and crashes into her opponents with force. Upon impact, they take damage and are flung away.
This video by Hi-Rez showcases Ash’s skills.

When Ash uses her ultimate ability – Show Dominance – she jumps forward and jabs her flag into the ground: This is my territory and you’re not getting in.
Ash becomes immune to all damage in a round zone around the flag and can defend her territory like a lioness. Those who take up the fight will be flung back, bombarded, and shoulder charged.
Ash awakens the warrior in me – My point!
Her entire skill set strongly motivates me not to give up the control point. I did everything in my power to deny enemies access.
It’s just fun to really spread out and be dominant with Ash. And that very gameplay thrill gives me the motivation to want to do my job well. With 5750 health points, Ash is one of the robust tanks and can endure being shot at for a long time. She can afford to stay longer on the control point. When things get tricky, you can knock opponents away with the kinetic explosion.
Ash has striking features with a spiky hairstyle and wears heavy eyeliner.
Is her armor too heavy for Ash or why is she so slow?
Although everything about Ash screams “attack”, it is sometimes difficult to do just that with her. Ash wears a large and bulky armor, and I wonder if maybe a delicate girl is hiding underneath. Because she needs a lot of setup time for her abilities and is quite immobile.
When Ash goes for the shoulder charge, it takes her a while to get into position. I found it hard to hit opponents with the shoulder charge. It takes her a long time to initiate and she runs quite far forward. Opponents can easily dodge, and I had to wonder if the risk was worth it. If you charge forward so recklessly, you quickly find yourself among many opponents who tear Ash apart. The high health bar doesn’t help then.
Is a delicate little thing hiding under the heavy armor? The small hands would suggest so.
Ash’s rolling shield also moves slowly and sluggishly. She throws it a set distance in front of her and opponents can easily walk around it. Timing the use correctly was difficult for me. It worked best when I threw it in the direction of narrow corridors. This way, flankers often had to look for another way.
Even her ultimate ability is sluggish. Ash takes a few seconds to prepare her jump. However, when she jumps, she goes further than I expected, and I often ended up a bit too far from the control point.
But that inertia might actually provide a good balance for Ash. She already has very high health points, and her abilities are strong. Somewhere you have to make compromises.
Ash is the saving knight at the last moment
Gradually, I realized that Ash’s strength in Paladins lies in being the last-minute savior. I managed a few times to sweep opponents off the control point with a kinetic explosion when all hope seemed lost. I was able to simply be present long enough and shove enemies away until my team regained control.
I felt fantastic doing this, and even a bit heroic. The only improvement to that: shoving enemies off the map!

Ash is simply so much fun that I expect to encounter her more often. I am not sure if she can secure a place at the top of the tier list . She seems a bit too slow and easy to counter for that. Opponents can dodge her quickly. Makoa simply pulls her out of her ultimate with his hook.
I created a first deck build where I focused entirely on her kinetic explosion. With that, I had the most influence and blowing away opponents is just damn cool. I used the shoulder charge the least, as I found it very hard to hit.
Letting enemies explode away – Bam!
I rate Ash in a good mid-tier position and think that her balance will be tweaked a bit. After all, she succeeded in making tanking really fun for me. Maybe I’ll even shift from my main roles of flanker and support to tank and support.
What are your impressions of Ash? How do you assess her in the meta?
