The resume of stuntman Tim Neff shows that he is involved with work on Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 6.
The latest installment of the GTA series “Grand Theft Auto V” has many fans who regularly play the game. However, players are waiting for news about the sixth installment of the series. There have been no updates from Rockstar regarding GTA 6, but a stuntman has listed his work on this title from Rockstar in his resume.
GTA 6 – Release still unknown – Stuntman gives hope
It seems that Rockstar is conducting motion capture work for GTA 6. The resume of stuntman and motion capture actor Tim Neff lists, among other titles, two entries for Rockstar Games: Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto 6.
These details were found on the website NeoGAF. However, the resume doesn’t provide much information apart from the title names. Specific characters for which these motion captures were recorded are not mentioned. It only refers to GTA 6.
That Rockstar may already be working on another installment for the Grand Theft Auto series is unlikely to be a surprise for most gamers. Initial work on new titles usually starts well before the release of the games.
As reported by VG247, there may be another explanation for this entry in the resume. Perhaps Tim Neff was only told that his work for GTA 6 would be used when actually a completely different game was meant. Large studios sometimes do this to obscure their actual work and avoid leaks.
Multiple studios belong to Rockstar, and Rockstar “North” has not made much noise since the release of GTA 5. This team may currently be working on the next title in the GTA series, while Rockstar “San Diego” is completing the final work on Red Dead Redemption 2.
In Fortnite, the fun survival co-op shooter from Epic Games, there are always quests where you need to find and eliminate so-called “Husk Encampments”. But what are Husk Encampments and where can you find them? We have gathered tips and tricks for you on how to track down these camps!
Fortnite has recently been released and impresses with fun co-op gameplay, a sophisticated building mechanic, and cool action. However, it can also be frustrating, especially when you are desperately searching for a specific quest objective on the map.
One of those sometimes hard-to-find mission objectives is the so-called “Husk Encampment”.
Fortnite – Husk Encampments – How they work
Husk Encampments, in English “Husk Encampments”, are about the size of a guardhouse, look like mini-mausoleums, and glow ominously purple. They are always surrounded by sleeping Husk creatures.
When you attack them, the Husk become active and a wave of additional zombies appears and attacks you. So be prepared! Once you have eliminated all the Husks, the Husk Encampment crumbles and is considered destroyed.
Fortnite – Husk Encampments – Tips for Finding Them
Husk Encampments are randomly distributed on the map. However, there are a few tips and tricks to help you find them without having to scour the entire map:
In some maps, they are marked with exclamation points, making them easy to find
If the camps are not marked on the map, keep an eye on the sky
If you see a straight beam rising into the clouds, you know there is a Husk Encampment there
https://youtu.be/sylkmti0vbw
With these tips and tricks, it should be easy to destroy the Husk Encampments in the necessary missions. Have fun hunting!
Double XP, Stardust bonuses and more Pokémon in the wild. These and other Pokémon GO bonuses are only active for a few more hours.
Trainers around the world worked together last weekend and were duly rewarded. Rewards such as double experience points or shorter distances for hatching eggs were unlocked for players worldwide. Initially, these rewards were only supposed to be active for two days, but Niantic extended the duration by three more days.
Now there are only a few hours left to take advantage of the Pokémon GO event bonuses. Tonight the event ends.
Double XP, Rewards – How much time is left?
In the last few days, you could take advantage of many cool bonuses in Pokémon GO that improved your accounts and upgraded collections. There were plenty of experience points due to the double XP factor and many eggs were hatched, as they only need a third of the kilometers now.
Originally, these rewards were only supposed to be active in the game for 48 hours, but Niantic extended the bonuses for 72 hours.
The official end is now Friday, July 28, 2017, at 2:00 AM German time. So tomorrow morning! You can still take advantage of the following bonuses in the last hours:
In Pokémon GO, you can now also find the first legendary Pokémon. These are Lugia and Articuno.
At first, it was unclear whether these would stay in the game forever or would have to leave soon again. Now it is clear that at least Articuno will have to leave. The developers wrote this in a blog post. The other birds of the legendary trio, Moltres and Zapdos, will also appear in the game soon.
They will also be temporarily activated and will only be available in the game for about seven days before having to leave again.
We want to know who the most popular hero in Overwatch is. You have voted. You can find the result here!
Overwatch features numerous different heroes designed to appeal to various players. A few days ago, we wanted to know from you, which hero is the most popular. We left it up to you to decide what criteria you would use for your selection. A total of nearly 2,600 of you voted, which provides quite a solid opinion pool (as of: 27.07., 06:00 AM). Now the results are out – and they are clear. Here are the most and least popular heroes in the community!
Place 1: Mercy
The most popular heroine is Mercy. With 10% of all votes (257 votes), the healer is the favorite of most players. No wonder, her ultimate has decided many games, as there is hardly anything more powerful than bringing the entire team back from death to the battle. Additionally, she simply has a lovable, caring motherly personality. Who can say no to that?

In second place is the gamer girl Hana Song, better known as D.va. She also received 10% of the votes, but a few votes less (242 votes). She represents strong female characters and has even become a symbol of an equality movement. Additionally, she has one of the deadliest ultimates in the game and is known to take in enemy fire. OP? A little! But that’s her job.
Place 3: Genji
Genji secures the bronze medal, taking 3rd place. With 8% of the votes (185 votes), the cyborg ninja is very popular. He is a tortured soul who had to replace almost his entire body with robotic parts. Nevertheless, he is strong, agile, and one of the best fighters on the planet. Additionally, there is hardly anything more satisfying than sending an enemy ultimate right back to the sender.
Place 4: Junkrat
Just behind him, also with 8% of the votes (183 votes) is Junkrat. He epitomizes madness, loves explosions, and creates all sorts of things from scrap that then explode. His gameplay is also a lot of fun since explosions not only blow up enemies but also him. And when he dies, he leaves bombs behind – everything just fits. Fun, explosions, and lots of cool quotes.
Place 5: Reaper
Place number 5 goes to the edgelord himself. Gabriel Reyes, better known as Reaper, received 6% of the votes (147 votes). His dark outfit and his role as “tank destroyer” make him a popular character who is often chosen. And there is hardly anything more fun than jumping into an unsuspecting group of enemies while joyfully shouting “DIE! DIE! DIE!” and completely wiping them out.
The 3 least popular Overwatch heroes
The third to last place goes to Bastion. 1% of all votes (31 votes) see the walking omnic as the best hero in the game – not exactly a lot of players. The trauma of the terror reign still runs deep, as hardly any hero was as overpowered as Bastion at times. Especially at the release of Overwatch, he was considered too powerful until players found a strategy against him.
In second to last place is the little Swede with his turret: Torbjörn. Only 1% of players (28 votes) chose the hardworking craftsman. The reasons for this are hard to pinpoint. He is often considered too weak in pro games, and on consoles he was long seen as a nuisance, since turrets are particularly hard to deal with there.
In last place is the currently newest addition to the game, Orisa. She rounded out with only 0% of the votes (19 votes). There are many reasons for this. She is a strong hero, but as an omnic, she has little personality, and her abilities are mostly “knockoff versions” of existing heroes. The last place is therefore not surprising.
Did you expect this result? Or did you expect a different favorite for the top spot?
In the beta of Destiny 2, a turbine proved to be a deadly obstacle. It will be nerfed by the release.
A week ago, the US site Kotaku wrote, “The deadliest boss in the beta of Destiny 2 is a sci-fi turbine.”
Died ten times to the cursed turbine
Mini-spoiler: At the end of the Destiny 2 mission “Homecoming”, players must disable the shields of a Cabal ship. They do this by destroying a gigantic space turbine.
The encounter is reminiscent of an action movie death trap, where you wonder: Who the hell designed this room? Does it serve any other purpose than to make the heroes duck and jump a hundred times?
However, issues arise, as Kotaku knows. The players do not quite understand how to stop the turbine and die multiple times in the attempt.

The trick with the turbine is to avoid the two rotating death machines and get into the niches under the death trap. From there, you can shoot at the core and destroy it. You must do this three times.
The author on Kotaku says: It is not so easy, with first-person and hitboxes. Achieving the third and farthest niche is particularly difficult.
The author says he died multiple times, at least ten times, and others have experienced the same. Especially experienced Destiny players expect to easily get through the first mission but then die multiple times there.
That was a week ago.
Veterans mock after nerf: “Casual-friendly”
Now the news came: the turbine will be nerfed in the final game Destiny 2. One of the rotating death machines will disappear, there will only be one left.
This prompts mockery and scorn from veterans of Destiny 1. Comments like: “That was probably too hard for the noobs in the beta. Destiny 2 will be casual,” are making the rounds.
Did Bungie nerf the turbine because beta newcomers couldn’t handle it? No.
The turbine was already not that hard in the current Destiny 2 before the beta started
The turbine was already not in its form in the current build of Destiny 2 before the beta started.
Game Director Luke Smith is said to have wondered in a podcast that the turbine section is still with 2 blades in the beta, because in the current build he plays, the second blade has already been gone for a while.
This turbine was implemented at that time, but later it was realized that it is too difficult, especially at such an early point in the game. Therefore, they nerfed the turbine long ago.
The beta of Destiny 2 that we played is an outdated version:
A glitch with legendary Pokémon ensures that trainers will never forget the sight of Lugia and Articuno from Pokémon GO.
The mobile game “Pokémon GO” recently received an update that brings the legendary Pokémon Articuno and Lugia into the game. These are special monsters that many trainers want to have in their Pokémon collection.
However, a visual glitch is causing some trainers to see a disturbing image of these legendary Pokémon. Images that unfortunately won’t be forgotten quickly.
A current glitch now ensures that the images of Lugia and Articuno will not be forgotten anytime soon. Trainers with weak nerves may want to look away from the screenshots for their own safety.
On the left: This is how Lugia should actually look.
As Polygon reports, a Japanese Pokémon trainer named sumika920 took screenshots of a very special Lugia specimen. After a raid battle, the trainer had the chance to catch the special monster. Instead of seeing a majestic, sublime Pokémon, this horror creature appeared before the player:

A flexible neck and no bones? What happened to Lugia here? It looks like Ditto had a bad day when it wanted to transform into Lugia.
Twitter turns into a Lugia Photoshop contest
On Twitter, sumika920’s screenshots gained a lot of traction – over 32,000 retweets spread the distorted Lugia. This also attracts “artists” who have fun with the images:
Lugia is not the only legendary Pokémon affected by this error. The ice bird “Articuno” was found with tangled legs by player Omkar_bhatkande in the wild.
The problem with these glitches is not just the nightmares in the future. As Omkar Bhatkande describes, he couldn’t even catch the Articuno because of this glitch. This poses a significant problem since Articuno is only available for a few more days as a raid boss.
Since July 17th, the sandbox MMO Albion Online by publisher and developer Sandbox Interactive has been officially released. As is typical with MMO launches, the release of Albion Online was not without its problems. It is, however, unusual for an indie MMO to see such a large influx of players.
Estimated Wait Time: One Hour! Long Queues in the MMO
It is more rule than exception that everything goes wrong at the initial release of an MMORPG. From Blizzard to Wargaming, whenever a new title sees the light of launch, something usually goes awry. This was also the case with Albion Online.
Already on the second day of the staggered release, it became noticeable, and by the third and final release, it was clear that the game’s only server could hardly withstand a potential influx of players.
While they tried to prepare for the launch using experiences from various testing phases, it seems that no one at Sandbox Interactive anticipated the sheer number of new players. Frequent server crashes were the inevitable result of the MMO’s immense popularity.
An hour of waiting was more rule than exception
However, many players did not even make it that far. Due to the massive load in the first days after release, the situation meant waiting in line for an extended period—sometimes for hours.
The queues, before one could even connect to the servers, were sometimes several thousand players long, and the estimated wait time was impressive. If one was lucky, the servers did not go down again during the wait. Then the fun began anew.
Due to the circular, zone-based layout of the world, there are currently massive character clusters in the inner cities of Albion’s main continent. A direct result of this is that players are unable to act in these overcrowded areas. Nothing works, moving is impossible, as is interacting with various merchants, chests, or banks.
Too Successful for Launch?
In the official game forum, possible solutions to these problems have been discussed since launch, and it quickly became clear: it wouldn’t be that easy.
Early in the game’s development, it was clear that Albion Online would run on only one server. This was intended to create a vibrant, populated game world that feels and experiences as such—larger clusters of characters in specific areas would be a part of that. The splitting of the server, which would likely quickly mitigate the overcrowding issue, was never up for debate.
The PvP MMO’s numbers were impressive during the Closed Beta
From the developer side in the forum, it was mentioned that they wanted to wait first. Albion Online was never meant to be a game for the masses, which is why they were not prepared for such a massive influx at launch.
The publisher and developer are confident that the number of accounts will stabilize over time. After all, the first week after the release of a new MMO is statistically always the strongest in terms of sales and players.
Solution Approach: Even More Waiting Times!
In the meantime, they will definitely be considering further solutions to address the most important issues, especially the inaccessibility of key cities.
The development team sees possible solutions, for example, in instancing heavily visited areas of the various cities.
For example, the market and the bank of the game could be placed on a separate cluster. They are also considering splitting the large cities into individual areas. None of these solutions, however, would be something that could be implemented quickly and thoughtlessly into the game. Stefan Wiezorek, CEO and Founder of Sandbox Interactivestated in a forum post:
“Fellow Adventurers, after the very hectic launch week has passed, we like to give you some background information on server performance. Prior to release, we created several forecast scenarios about post-launch player population. We also upgraded our hardware to the maximum level possible. As it turned out, even our most optimistic forecasts about player numbers were exceeded significantly. This caused a set of issues. Our goal is to fix most or all of them over the next 5-10 days. […] Now, on a more general level, we could tackle the issues that we have right now by reducing the number of players that the servers allow at the moment. However, this would mean that thousands or players would have to wait in queues. We made the decision that we’d rather have the occasional server outage instead. In addition to the technical matters, we will also look into game balance to deal with the overcrowding of certain zones. In particular, we’ll look into the respawn rates of resources and might give them a temporary boost while such a large number of players stands at the same progression levels, competing over the same resources.”
Temporarily, they will make cities accessible for fewer players at the same time. While the actual technical limits of the areas lie at about 1400 accounts, there are currently significant problems with up to 1000 active players simultaneously.
It was also noted here that this would merely be a temporary solution. Making important cities only partially accessible would pose significant disadvantages, especially for those players whose guilds or private islands are connected to them. However, this currently seems to be one of the few solutions that could be applied relatively quickly.
How Empty is Multiplayer Still?
It is clear: There are no simple solutions to this problem. An possibly premature division of the mega server could prove disadvantageous if player numbers decline as expected over the coming weeks and months.
Instead of wandering through a vibrant, admittedly overcrowded world to cross desolate landscapes, that is not the point of an MMO.
However, it remains questionable whether waiting and hoping that player numbers will settle on their own is the right approach. Many contributions in the official Albion Online forum have repeatedly raised concerns about the poor launch conditions as a reason why they turned away from the title after such a short time.
We will keep you updated on future changes to the game as usual.
Fortnite will be released next year, but already more than 500,000 copies have been sold – for a free-to-play game! Fortnite is set to be the summer hit of 2017.
In 2018, the online game Fortnite will be released as a free-to-play game. However, it can already be played in early access, which is not free of charge. But that doesn’t seem to bother anyone, as more than 500,000 copies of the game have already been sold.
A very successful start
The early access phase of Fortnite began on July 25, and the head start even started on July 21. Epic Games aims to create an online game in which you cooperatively fight against hordes of monsters with other players and build fortifications together to secure yourselves from the onslaught.
Fortnite has been in development for about five years now and features a colorful comic style that is quite well received by players. Those who want to join in now can purchase one of several founder’s packages. The standard package costs 40 euros. The limited package with additional in-game items costs even 150 euros!
Sales figures are from before the game’s launch
Epic Games’ Darren Snug thanked for the support the game is already receiving in this early phase. The team is very pleased with the more than 500,000 copies sold so far. The studio announced that the 500,000 copies were counted only until the game’s launch on July 25. By now, even more copies have likely been sold.
Professional players in Overwatch receive a nice salary. The “Overwatch League” has set a substantial minimum salary!
The step from a “good” player to a real professional is not so easy in most games. Those who want to be among the very best players have to sacrifice a large part of their free time and dedicate several hours of training every day. There is often little time left for other hobbies, and even a full-time job is hardly manageable with the typical pro gamer workload.
Therefore, the Overwatch League, Blizzard’s coordinated push into the world of eSports, aims to provide players with a clear perspective with fixed rules for teams, team owners, and their players.
Big Salaries for Professional Players
Although the details of the contracts are negotiated by the individual parties, there are a few basic pillars that the contracting parties must adhere to in order to be admitted to the Overwatch League. These fixed rules include:
Teams sign players for at least one year, with the option to extend for another year.
The minimum salary for each player is $50,000 per year – which equals about €43,000!
Teams must provide players with health insurance and a retirement plan (largely regulated by law in Germany).
Teams must pay at least 50% of performance bonuses directly to the players (like prize money from tournaments).
These conditions seem to make the transition to professionalism significantly easier – with such a salary and these protections, the decision to take the plunge into eSports is likely easier.
The first 7 teams have now also come together for the Overwatch League – but one European team is still missing.
It doesn’t seem like the program is really getting off the ground yet, although Blizzard wants to make “further announcements” in the coming months that should increase the appeal of the Overwatch League.
What do you think of these conditions for professional players? A deserved salary for a professional sport? Or an absurd amount of money for a hobby?
Coldheart is a new exotic weapon in Destiny 2 and a new weapon category. Bungie lets us be part of its creation.
Last night, we showed the trailer for “Coldheart”. Bungie includes the exotic Trace Rifle as a bonus for all pre-orders of Destiny 2. Starting December 5, all players will be able to obtain it.
In collaboration with IGN, Bungie now shows how the exotic item was developed.
Appearance, Function, and History
The interesting thing is: You can see how each of the professionals at Bungie approaches the weapon in their own way.
The weapon designer Jon Weisnewski handles the function of the weapon, what role it will play in the balance of Destiny 2. He says: “We wanted a weapon that serves a clear function. It should fire a beam, and the longer it is on a target, the more damage the beam does.”
The artist Jesse van Dijk is responsible for the appearance of Coldheart. He says they based the idea on the notion that the weapon has this “cold heart” as a central element around which everything revolves. Everything else about the weapon is minimalistic – Coldheart is the focus. He looks to the weapons manufacturer Omolon for design inspiration and aligns with their philosophy.
Jill Shar, who is responsible for the text and lore of the weapon, says: The weapon comes from Omolon, the experimental and futuristic weapons company. They found a way to create a weapon that uses liquid ammunition, which also provides cooling. The name “Coldheart” was clear when they saw the design. For the flavor texts, Bungie draws inspiration from short stories like “Sell baby shoes. Never worn. “
More Trace Rifles Could Come to the Game, But Currently There’s Only One
The interesting thing is: The origin of Coldheart seems to lie elsewhere. Bungie has developed a new gameplay technology to generate the beams that Coldheart fires. Developing a technique that creates a persistent laser beam that behaves “correctly” in the world is extremely complicated in a game like Destiny. But they managed to do it.
Bungie wanted to find a weapon to then apply this technique and introduce it into the game.
Coldheart is supposed to be the first and only Trace Rifle in Destiny 2. It represents this new technology that Bungie has been working on to generate such beams. Coldheart has the potential to become an archetype of a new weapon category.

In Black Desert Online the new heroine Mystic is coming soon. Those who are wondering what the sexy fighter can do can check it out in the latest gameplay trailer. There, the Mystic fights and kicks through numerous enemies.
Black Desert Online will soon receive a new class. The Mystic is here the female counterpart to the Kung-Fu brawler “Striker”. However, as with (almost) all classes in Black Desert Online, the Mystic is not a 1:1 clone of the Striker. Rather, she has her own style.
Black Desert Online – The Mystic in Action Trailer
In a new trailer, you see the Mystic in full action. The combative lady fights especially with her long legs and hits so hard that it’s a pleasure to watch. In the video, no opponent stands a chance against her. She beat both hordes of enemies and hefty single monsters with ease.

Especially cool: She seems to have a super move that creates a kind of energy ball, causing even more devastation. Unfortunately, it is still unknown when the Mystic will come to the West. For now, she will only be wreaking havoc in Korea.
The slightly crazy explosion fanatic from Overwatch, Junkrat, is getting some buffs. We reveal what is changing.
When it comes to the balance of the various heroes of Overwatch, there is always plenty of room for discussion. Which hero is currently too strong? Which is too weak? The opinions of the developers and various player groups often differ widely – but when they do agree, targeted buffs or nerfs typically follow.
It seems that Junkrat is now the target of balance adjustments. In the official forum, Overwatch’s Principal Designer, Geoff Goodman, has stated that they are already experimenting with changes to Junkrat internally. These should be playable on the PTR in the near future.
Junkrat – Double Mine for Double Fun!
Is Blizzard behind this again?
Basically, there are two adjustments:
The Remote Mine will receive a second charge.
The Ultimate Tire will either move faster or have more health points.
Especially the second charge of the mine offers many new possibilities. Junkrat can use one mine to blow himself into the fray and a second to escape right away. He can even implement funny ideas and perform a double or even triple jump while in the air by using multiple mines. He can also become the insane “Pharah Hunter.” With the first mine, he propels himself into the air, and the second he throws at the flying Pharah.
At least internally, Blizzard is already having a lot of fun with these adjustments.
So far, these are just ideas, and whether they will be implemented exactly like this will probably only show during the next PTR cycle.
What do you think of the planned changes? Just right or does Junkrat not need any assistance at all?
Dark and Light is here! The promising online role-playing game, reminiscent of Conan Exiles and ARK. We played the early access version.
Survival is currently in vogue, and it seems like a lot of development studios want a piece of this pie. So do the developers of Dark and Light.
A little history lesson: Dark and Light was first released in 2006, representing a fairly classic MMORPG at the time, and was not well received by fans. The servers were taken offline in 2008. Snail Games purchased the license and developed a new online game using the well-known name. The classic MMO gameplay has been replaced by a survival game concept and is strongly reminiscent of ARK Survival Evolved and Conan Exiles.
Technically Unrefined
At the start of early access, there was a lot of criticism – and rightly so. The first version of the MMORPG was technically unrefined.
This was noticeable right from the character creation. Graphics glitches resulted in extremely long arms, the colors were off, and some textures were missing. Nevertheless, I managed to create a human who materialized in a city. In front of him stood a merchant without a lower body.
Flickering textures and vegetation that constantly disappeared and suddenly reappeared did not contribute to a good first impression. The technology has since been improved somewhat, but it still isn’t top-notch.
The performance was, to put it mildly, subpar. Even with medium settings, the fps count didn’t go above 30, and that on a PC with 32 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The loading times, until the game finally starts, were – and still are – extremely long. Some players reported about 20 minutes in the Steam forum. It wasn’t quite that long for me, thanks to an M.2 SSD, but still long enough for me to grab a coffee.
I started on one of the public servers, which strangely only consisted of PvP servers at the beginning. PvE worlds were added later. Despite a decent ping of under 100, I struggled with drops, lag, and was constantly killed, even though I couldn’t even tell by whom or what. So I amusingly switched to single-player mode. Here there were no lags, but the performance was still not impressive.

Resource Gathering, Crafting, Combat – We Already Know This
So I followed the tutorial, which turned out to be not so easy. The friendly tutorial lady recited her lines in a confusing order. For example, she introduced herself only after the fifth quest and acted as if we were seeing each other for the first time.
The tutorial descriptions didn’t really help in figuring out what to do, as they contained cryptic placeholder texts. Nevertheless, I managed to gather the first raw materials with my bare hands, making the bushes flow wildly. Thus, I harvested berries, wood, fiber, and stones.
I then crafted my first axe to gather resources more effectively and defend against monster attacks. All of this strongly resembles ARK or Conan Exiles.
Whenever you complete a tutorial, a new recipe becomes available, promising new items or spells. Afterwards, you go out to gather these raw materials and craft the item. In between, you eat berries or apples to combat hunger and thirst.
Anyone can cast spells in Dark and Light. You craft a staff which you can then imbue with a spell. For example, to gather resources faster or to hurl fireballs. This consumes spell energy, which you replenish by eating flower petals. While I initially only wandered around in tattered pants and a light shirt, I was later able to craft a leather armor. By the way, resources or items that you no longer need can be sold in town.
An Aesthetically Pleasing Group Game
Dark and Light is played from a third-person perspective, and there is no option to switch to first-person view. The game visually presents itself as mixed. Many areas, like forests or cities, look impressive from afar. But up close, flickering vegetation and unimpressive lighting effects stand out. Even during sunrise or sunset, there is no truly impressive atmosphere.
The further you venture inland, the more dangerous it becomes. On the one hand, there are dark creatures lurking everywhere that will knock you out with one hit at the beginning. You should level up well first, learn many skills such as melee combat or defense, and particularly pay attention to good equipment. On the other hand, it is dangerous in the wilderness if you are on a PvP server. Because other players will attack you unexpectedly if you are not in the protection of a city and NPC guards cannot come to your aid.
A level-up grants you free points to allocate to attributes. Skills increase automatically through use. But there are still issues here as you never know how a skill increases. Because there are still placeholder texts present – just like with the description of items.
Interestingly, taming monsters is possible. With the right spell, you can acquire pets and mounts. You can even tame dragons, although I haven’t managed to do that yet. Exploring the vast world is certainly fun with the right people, and being in a group significantly increases your chances of survival. However, the number of players per server is limited to 100, which is why you don’t run into other players that often.
Andreas says:
Dark and Light has a long road ahead. Technically, it is far from polished. In terms of gameplay, fans of ARK or Conan Exiles get familiar fare. There has been a lot of criticism about Dark and Light, yet the player numbers on Steamcharts show that the RPG is apparently quite well received. My impression is that it is certainly suitable as a survival game. It is fun, and those who do not expect something drastically different from ARK or Conan Exiles can have a good time in the fantasy world.
With early access games, it’s hard to predict where the journey will go and how the game will develop. Perhaps Dark and Light will soon make it onto our list:
The sandbox MMO Citadel: Forged with Fire strongly resembles Harry Potter with its magic focus and flying brooms. Those who want to take a closer look at the new MMO after the open beta can now play it in early access.
Citadel: Forged with Fire – Paid early access instead of free beta
You can no longer play Citadel: Forged with Fire as a free beta. Instead, the early access version is only available for money.
It costs $24.99 on Steam, the euro price should be similarly high. Citadel: Forged with Fire will remain in early access for about a year. The full release should therefore take place in summer 2018.
In Citadel: Forged with Fire, you play as a young wizard who, as an apprentice wizard, is still exploring the vast world. There, you will become stronger and can later tame fantastic creatures like dragons, subjugate orcs, and hurl entire fortresses through the air with your magic.

For Harry Potter fans, there are also exciting chases on brooms. Those who learn special abilities can even sail through the air without a flying cleaning device. You can find out how all this looks in the game in the gameplay trailer we have embedded here for you. Have fun!
The Harbingers of Doom in WoW return – do they herald the next expansion? Or are they just praising Sargeras and the Legion?
Almost a year ago, the Harbingers of Doom in World of Warcraft began to predict the end of the world. So far, Azeroth has held up quite well and repelled most of the Legion’s attacks, even if there were heavy losses.
But with WoW Patch 7.3, the Harbingers of Doom return as “Confirmed Harbingers of Doom” – after all, they were right. On the PTR, these Harbingers are active again in Dalaran, along with a lot of “concerned citizens” and panicked fleeing civilians.
The reason for this seems obvious – Argus, the seat of the Legion, which looms in the sky over Azeroth. Why it only becomes apparent to people with Patch 7.3 is beyond us. The folks at wowhead have already released a small preview video about it:

As with the launch event for Legion, the Harbingers of Doom are distributing various flyers that speak of the end of the world. Some of them are quite dark and suggest executing all friends, while others have a rather comical background, like the “Blackened Pamphlet”:
“Return of Demon Costumes
The theater troupe of the Darkmoon Faire wishes to offer a sincere apology to our customers. While processing the orders for demon costumes, we accidentally shipped costumes for dracthyr. Although they look similar to demons (claws, scales, etc.), they are very different. Do not approach the Legion in a dracthyr costume! This could have dire consequences, such as injury, death, or damage to the costume.
Please return the dracthyr costumes to us and we will send you the demon costumes. We guarantee that you will receive the costumes in time before the Legion executes its final attack, or you will get your money back.”
Harbingers are probably just an event for Argus
Some fans had hoped that the Harbingers of Doom could already be the harbingers of the next expansion, but that does not seem to be the case. Only one of the flyers has rough connections to the Old Gods. Loosely translated, it says:
“An emerald sun sets in the chamber of the heavens, but it casts no shadow.
The world raises its voice in horror, but only one can hear its cries.
From the place that is everywhere and nowhere, the deceptive serpent feeds on the stars.
It has no eyes to see, but it dreams of countless endings and countless beginnings.
<Strange glyphs and writings in an unknown language cover the rest of the scroll>“
That sounds very much like the chaos of the Old Gods, doesn’t it?
Apparently, this worked well, because they’re bringing the trick back again.
From December 5th, however, all players, including non-pre-order customers, should be able to obtain Coldheart.
Exotic Trace Rifle Coldheart – Pre-Order Trailer
As Bungie now announces in a trailer, pre-order customers of Destiny 2 will receive the exotic weapon “Coldheart.” Its German name, of course, is “Kaltherz” – what else?
Bungie celebrates this with dancing Cabal, flowing capes in the wind, explosions, and “Ice Ice Baby,” which was popularized at the time by Vanilla Ice.

What is Coldheart? What do we know about the pre-order weapon in Destiny 2?
The type of weapon Coldheart is translated in German as “Spurgewehr” – in the original English it is a “Trace Rifle.”.
Whether this is a new weapon category, we do not currently know. But we will introduce “Coldheart” extensively in an article tomorrow, as “Coldheart” is likely to be brought into the spotlight by Bungie. The weapon is also part of another insight into Destiny 2 together with IGN.
Update: From the weapon guru of Destiny, Jon Weisnewski, there are details about the new Exotic: Coldheart deals Arc damage, is carried in the “Energy” slot, and is excellently suited to deal damage to single targets.
Mein-MMO states: It looks like Bungie has chosen “Coldheart” to be the “Exotic of the Hearts in Destiny 2.” At first glance, the weapon looks like an “Ice Thrower.” Whether Guardians warm up to the Trace Rifle remains to be seen.
They liked the Gjallarhorn in Destiny 1 especially because it was overpowered and broke the balance. That’s how weapons become popular. However, with a pre-order exotic, it would surely be the wrong way to make it too strong. Then non-pre-order customers would be at a disadvantage.
Jagex brings RuneScape, the first western mainstream MMORPG, to the mobile market. Old School RuneScape will be available as a free app for smartphones and tablets in winter 2017. Our author Leya spoke with Jagex Senior Product Manager Matt Casey about the development of Mobile Crossplay. RuneScape has apparently always been suitable for mobile devices.
Old School RuneScape is an older version of the MMORPG classic from 2007. This old version still has a core of loyal players who receive weekly updates from the developers. The “normal” RuneScape will join the App Store a little later than Old School RuneScape.
The special feature of the app will be that RuneScape can seamlessly switch between PC and mobile device. This means players can start RuneScape on the PC and switch to their phone or tablet in the middle of playing. The app will start exactly where the players left off on the PC. Conversely, switching from mobile to PC works the same way.
I had the opportunity to speak with Matt Casey. He is a Senior Product Manager at Jagex and is working intensively on the Mobile Crossplay of (Old School) RuneScape. Casey revealed to me that players did not want a stripped-down mobile version of RuneScape.
“Our players want the full MMORPG experience on smartphones and tablets”
At Jagex, the developers work closely with their players and regularly gather feedback and wishes. For example, players of Old School RuneScape determine through a poll which weekly mini-updates make it into the game.
In a player survey, Jagex found that 90% of active and 64% of inactive players are interested in playing RuneScape on mobile devices. However, the players also stated that they want to play the full version on their smartphones or tablets.
Especially, inactive users stated they would love to continue playing RuneScape.
For former players of RuneScape, the seamless mobile cross-play could be a way to return to the MMORPG.
Busy players want more flexibility – Lack of time is secondary
RuneScape has been around since 2001. Many former RuneScape players dove into the fantasy MMORPG as teenagers back then. For them, there were still free weekends, few obligations, and long summer vacations. Perfect for grinding, leveling, and exploring the joyful world of RuneScape for hours.
These players have since grown up and lead busy lives. With work, children, and household, there is often little room for a complex MMORPG. According to Casey, it’s not necessarily time that players lack, but more flexibility.
Many of the inactive players indicated that they would return to RuneScape with a full-fledged mobile version.
They have the need to play the MMORPG of their youth on the go, whether on a bus or on the way to work. They want to casually sit by their little children’s beds and pass the time when the little one has a restless night. Or simply indulge in some extra 5 minutes on the toilet with farming.
RuneScape has always been tailored for mobile devices
RuneScape will be the first major mainstream MMORPG from the west to enable mobile crossplay. I was surprised that a classic like RuneScape would be one of the first to take this step.
Matt Casey told me that RuneScape has been designed for mobile since its inception in 2001. Could Andrew and Paul Gower, the founders of Jagex, have known 16 years ago what a strong impact the mobile market would have in 2017? Probably not.
It may have been a fortunate gut feeling to build (Old School) RuneScape in a way that completely relies on point-and-click mechanics.According to Casey, this is extremely easy to implement on mobile devices. The same applies to the camera perspective that Old School RuneScape uses. This allows developers to quickly offer their Old School RuneScape as a full version for smartphones and tablets.
The biggest challenge is to adapt the interface for smartphones and tablets. The different screen sizes of devices are a tricky task in technical implementation. Getting the client on mobile devices is relatively easy. Casey promised that the versions between mobile devices and PCs will always be in sync.
The technology and the needs of the players aligned at this time to enable mobile crossplay in winter 2017.

In this gameplay trailer, you can get an idea of Old School RuneScape. The point-and-click mechanics are ideally suited to bring the MMORPG classic to mobile devices.

Jagex wants to primarily reach inactive core players
Casey is aware that Old School RuneScape might deter the casual “Candy Crush player” in the App Store. A school MMORPG that also looks a bit dated is certainly not for everyone.
Primarily, the developers want to reach their inactive core players with mobile crossplay. However, Casey believes that a broader audience could also enjoy the fantasy MMORPG. The model of weekly updates and the gameplay of Old School RuneScape fits the fast-paced mobile market.
At this time, Casey could not say what requirements mobile devices need to meet to run (Old School) RuneScape. However, Jagex is oriented to the mobile devices that their core players use.
What about you? Would you play the MMORPG classic Old School RuneScape on your smartphone or tablet?
For the current raid in World of Warcraft, the Tomb of Sargeras, a new wing for the LFR tool has been available since today, Wednesday, July 26: The Chamber of the Avatar.
For some players, the LFR difficulty of the raid is the only one they will experience from the instance. These players, as well as those who additionally want to relatively easily acquire new loot, will certainly be pleased with the new challenge. Here is a brief overview with a quick guide.
Unlike in the previous wings, however, in the Chamber of the Avatar, we will only encounter two new encounters: The Vigilant Maid and the Avatar of Sargeras (or also the Fallen Avatar). However, beautiful loot awaits here: two pieces of the T-20 set – The Chest (Maid) and the Shoulders (Avatar).
The Vigilant Maid turns players into bombs
First, we face the Vigilant Maid, a corrupted keeper of the Titans with a split personality between Light and Dark. The area is located directly in the Sanctum of the Guardian, where only two enemy groups separate us from the actual boss. The fight itself is relatively easy: Anyone who gets a Bomb from Mass Instability should jump into the hole just before the timer runs out and will be hurled back in the direction of their back.
The Maid also switches sides multiple times. When she teleports, each player will either have a Light or Demon Infusion, and should avoid the resulting orbs of the opposite color. If the shield that the Corrupted gives is broken and the spell is interrupted, everything starts over.
The Avatar of Sargeras is simple (in LFR)
Next, the Avatar of Sargeras awaits, originally the shell that the Titan was supposed to fill.
Once you defeat the first of the two bosses, it is just a short distance to the Avatar. An elevator, which appears shortly after in the large hole in the middle of the room, takes us on a very interesting ride through various layers of Azeroth down into the Chamber of the Avatar. Here, too, only two enemies wait, which, after their defeat, will clear the way to the boss.
The Fallen Avatar is not particularly complex. He has three abilities: Unleashed Chaos, Reality Fracture, and Devastate. The latter applies only to the two tanks, who should off-tank the boss when they accumulate a stack of the debuff left by the ability. The Unleashed Chaos affects every player, with each character regularly leaving behind green whirling fields at their current position for a few seconds, which shortly afterward will detonate for moderate damage. One should move out beforehand and make sure not to stand in anyone’s way, and after three areas, this ability is also survived.
The Reality Fracture is an explosion throughout the entire room, which causes less damage the further one stands from the stationary Avatar – but the damage does not seem lethal even when standing directly next to him.
Once the boss reaches 100 energy, he shatters the ground, and he and the entire group fall one level lower, onto a large platform in a lake of demon lava. The boss is no longer stationary here but needs to be positioned. He retains Devastate and Reality Fracture, with the latter also now destroying the ground in its area of effect. Therefore, he should be tanked in the corners of the room to avoid destroying as much ground as possible.
Finally, he swaps the unleashed chaos for Dark Mark. This creates a dark circle around a player that deals damage after a short time and knocks back all affected players. Since the damage is relatively high even in LFR, it should be divided among at least five players.
To PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds two new maps have been planned for a while. However, these new areas are far from finished. Additionally, there is new information about the first-person mode. It lacks the crosshair.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently played on a large map reminiscent of an abandoned island in the former Soviet Union. But that is not the only thing. Two new maps for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds are in planning. A map in the Mediterranean and a desert map have already been introduced.
The scenes shown from the maps are still far from a reason to expect an imminent release.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – New maps have only shown a “showcase corner” so far
According to PUBG head Brendan Greene, creating a map takes a very long time.
It took more than six months alone to make the current map playable, and what has been seen in the previous screenshots would only be a beautiful “showcase corner” of the map.
So a point that has already been completed to show what is still possible. The new maps will still take a lot of time. They will announce a new map “when it’s ready.” Also, the famous bicycle on the desert map would indeed be usable, the game mechanics would be there. However, Greene doesn’t want to promise anything yet.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – No animals on the maps, PUBG remains PvP
Furthermore, there will not be any wild animals on the maps in the foreseeable future. The AI required for that would be far too complex, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is primarily a PvP shooter without PvE elements.
Even though Brendan Greene thinks it’s cool to be attacked by wild animals while sneaking through the vegetation.
Also interesting: The old map is by no means going to become irrelevant when the new battlegrounds arrive. Instead, the old map is to receive updates regularly and grow alongside it.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – First-Person mode without crosshair
For the soon-to-be-released first-person mode in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, there is also something new. In addition to the new perspective, there will be no automatically displayed crosshair. This means you will have to use the respective aiming device of your weapon.
