So far, Europe has been spared from price increases for the PlayStation Plus subscription. However, that will change starting on August 31, 2017.
In the USA and Canada, price increases were already implemented last year. Players had hoped that these changes would be delayed in Europe. They were, until this point. Sony has so far not provided any arguments for the price increase in its statement. The dollar prices will be adopted 1:1. The fees in euros will change as follows:
With annual billing, the price changes from €49.99 to €59.99 per year.
With quarterly billing, the price changes from €19.99 to €24.99 per quarter.
With monthly billing, the price changes from €6.99 to €7.99 per month.
The benefits for PlayStation Plus subscribers will not be improved due to this adjustment, but will remain as usual with multiplayer content and the monthly free games.
Note: This also applies to existing subscribers. Subscription fees due on or after August 31, 2017, will also be adjusted to the new prices. Anyone who disagrees may cancel their subscription. Gift cards are excluded. A glance at Amazon.de shows that the cards can still be purchased at the cheaper rates. This is likely to only last for a short time. In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, according to PlayerUnknown Brendan Greene, you should no longer receive free lootboxes after the release. Only real money will be able to open the crates with cosmetic items. Many players do not like this at all!
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has recently caused some outrage among players because, contrary to the initial claims of chief developer Brendan Greene, the game will now offer microtransactions for paid lootboxes for 2.50 euros per box at Gamescom. Such microtransactions were actually explicitly excluded during the Early Access phase of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
Now there is another point of contention, as Brendan Greene wants to completely eliminate free lootboxes upon release.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – No more Free Loot?
Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene recently announced on Discord that there may no longer be free lootboxes when the game is on the market. He stated: “These are only optional cosmetic items, you don’t have to buy them to play”.
To explain: In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, you can currently buy crates with clothing for in-game earned “Battle Points”.
Many players understandably want cool outfits in the game and do not want to pay anything for them. Therefore, many fans are far from thrilled at the prospect of no longer receiving free loot soon. However, the idea of paid lootboxes is quite accepted by the majority of fans.
However, they do not want such a “feature” in early access, and many players wish for an option to earn the boxes through gameplay progression – as in Overwatch. This would provide a further incentive for good performance in the game. Let’s hope that Brendan Greene changes his mind and continues to allow free loot in the game.

Mein-MMO and Destiny 1: The end of rituals is near
For Bungie, Destiny 1 is officially over, even though some standard mechanisms such as Xur or the Weekly Reset will still continue. It is said that the servers of Destiny 1 will remain “online for the foreseeable future.”
It is clear: Bungie wants to increasingly focus attention on Destiny 2. All signs point to that.

Lots of armor, little punch – Garrosh is a clear tank
Let’s take a look at Garrosh’s abilities.
His passive ability is Armor Up! As Garrosh’s health points decrease, he gains more and more armor, reducing the damage taken.
Groundbreaker deals medium damage in a cone-shaped area. Enemy heroes on the edge of the effect range are launched high towards Garrosh.
With Bloodthirst, Garrosh deals low damage to an enemy and is healed for a percentage of his missing health points. Against enemy heroes, the healing is doubled.
Wrecking Ball is a powerful ability to reposition enemies. The nearest enemy is grabbed and thrown to a target position. Enemies in the target area take damage and are slowed.
His first heroic ability is Warlord’s Challenge. All enemies in the vicinity are taunted and thus briefly forced to attack Garrosh.
The second heroic ability is Decimate and is more offensively oriented. Garrosh deals medium damage in a circle around him and slows all affected enemies. The ability has a short cooldown and up to 3 charges.
With such a size, one might think that there is a lot of new content in it, maybe the DLC Ragnarok, which PS4 players have been waiting for a long time. But that is not the case.
ARK: Survival Evolved is getting ready for release with patches
The update does not bring any major “wow” changes but is slowly preparing the PS4 version for the release of ARK: Survival Evolved. This means fixing bugs, adjusting the balancing, and hopefully improving performance.
The PS4 update essentially includes the current PC patch v.264 – mostly bug fixes and balance changes. Additionally, 1.27 brings some PS4-specific improvements. It pertains to how to call Admin Commands or how to get to the map “The Center”.
Mein-MMO says: Everything is a bit chaotic at ARK right now, if you follow it. Hence the unusual patch times.
They are waiting for Sony or Microsoft to certify their respective patches and are trying to bring them live as quickly as possible. The studio behind ARK is relatively small, and the box release seems to have shaken up a lot of things and challenged their capacities.

For many fans of the GTA series, yesterday was a special day, as new info about Grand Theft Auto 6 hit the news world. The resume of stuntman Tim Neff, which listed work on the game title GTA 6, was discussed on many news sites.
Now the mentioned stuntman explains that the resume was not written by him and he knew nothing about such a website. All just made up?
Some YouTubers even went so far as to say: “GTA 6 Confirmed” – But clickbait titles in YouTube videos have, unfortunately, become normal for many of the larger GTA channels.
As PCGamesN now reports, the resume found by Tim Neff is completely fabricated. The website contacted Tim Neff and asked about the found resume.
The stuntman explained: “This is not my site, my account, or my resume. I don’t even know this website. I worked on GTA 5 a long time ago and haven’t done anything since. Sorry for the confusion. It seems like I’m being heavily trolled online.”
Unfortunately, someone seems to have had fun and posted a fake resume online. While this is unfortunate, it does not dampen the spirits of most fans for a new title in the GTA series. Whether it will really be “Grand Theft Auto 6” or perhaps a revival of an old title is still unclear.

The beta for Destiny 2 is over – on consoles. Now it’s the turn of PC players. We have the details on the dates for the PC beta and system requirements.
The console players have already been able to beat Cabal and send each other to virtual screen death. Now the PC community should also get their money’s worth.
Destiny 2 Beta on PC – Dates for Open Beta and Closed
The beta starts for pre-order customers of the game on August 28. That is a Monday. The open beta, meaning access for everyone, starts a day later on Tuesday, August 29.
The beta on PC ends on August 31. The exact times will be announced by Bungie. On consoles, the beta could be started at 7 PM. It is quite possible that these times will be confirmed for PC.

What can we expect in the coming weeks?
Bungie wouldn’t be Bungie if they didn’t announce things that they would later talk about. According to reports, PC players can look forward to being provided with information in the coming weeks to make the most of the PC beta.
Bungie marks the end of Destiny 1, the successor is looming. With the last Iron Banner in August 2017, a circle closes.
You have to be very brave now. Next week, specifically on Tuesday, August 1, the last Iron Banner of Destiny 1 will start. The game mode will be, as with the first Iron Banner, Control.

The new killer is the Huntress who has a pretty dark story. As a young child, she lived with her mother in the woods and survived on what nature provided. They had a small house, hunted a lot, and ate berries. But one day, they hunted a large moose together. They knew the animal was dangerous, but food was scarce, and hunger was great. Although the moose died, the mother was also severely wounded. As she slowly breathed her last and her body grew colder, she sang her daughter her favorite song one last time.

The Huntress’s Abilities

She can refill her hatchets at lockers when they have been used (Maximum 5).
Like all killers, she comes with 3 unique perks:
Beast of Prey – Her bloodlust is so overwhelming that her connection to the Entity is temporarily cut off, making her unpredictable. Once she benefits from bloodlust, her red stain disappears for 25 seconds. This effect can occur once every 120 seconds.
Territorial Imperative – Unlocks the potential of her aura reading ability. The auras of survivors become visible for 3 seconds when they enter the basement, and the Huntress is more than 32 meters away from the basement entrance. This effect can only occur once every 30 seconds.
Hex: Huntress Lullaby – A curse that draws strength from despair. Survivors suffer a regression of an additional 6% when they fail a skill check. Each time a survivor is hooked, the curse becomes more powerful, and the Huntress gains a token.
1-4 tokens: The time between the warning sound of a skill check and the skill check is reduced.
5 tokens: Skill checks no longer give a warning sound. The curse remains as long as the associated totem is active.
The perks are “teachable” as always, meaning they can be unlocked for all killers through the blood web.
Dedicated servers are set to enhance your gaming experience in For Honor in the future. Ubisoft’s roadmap illustrates further changes, including game modes and new classes.
Ubisoft now explains what the future of For Honor looks like in a blog post. Among the biggest changes are the dedicated servers that players have long desired. Ubisoft also plans two further seasons, which will introduce new heroes, maps, and game modes in For Honor.
Dedicated Servers for For Honor – When Will They Arrive?
The transition to dedicated servers aims to improve connections to For Honor and ensure more stable matches. Particularly, 4v4 matches have frequently suffered from stability issues in the past. After careful consideration, the team has now opted for dedicated server technology.
This technology is intended to be future-proof and to solve many problems. Games will no longer be paused when someone leaves the session – the well-known NAT issues should also be a thing of the past.
There is no exact release date for the dedicated servers yet. The developers explain that this is no easy task and will take some time.
Until the dedicated servers arrive, the existing system will be further improved. Part of the online team for For Honor is working on enhancing the current network structure. This should stabilize matches until the new server technology is implemented.
For Honor: New Seasons Starting in August and November
Two more seasons are planned for For Honor. One starts in August, the other in November. In each season, you can expect two new heroes and two new maps. What else is in store for you in the seasons can be found on the roadmap:
The training mode is structured similarly to an arena. The original plan was to improve and expand the current training mode in the game. However, it has now transformed into a completely different mode that is structured much like an arena.
This setup is designed to give every player the opportunity to train a hero, try out situations, and practice movements. Beginners and advanced players should be able to train better than before in this mode.
The new 4v4 PvP mode is still a secret. Ubisoft cannot say much about the new PvP mode yet. It is only known that this mode is in planning – details are not being disclosed at this time. “It will be a completely different gaming experience than before.”
Doomfist is finally live! The new Overwatch hero is now launched on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. We reveal what the Overwatch update 1.13/2.15 has brought along.
After nearly two weeks on the PTR, Doomfist is now finally available in the live version of Overwatch. With the Overwatch patch 1.13 (PC) and 2.15 (PS4, Xbox One), he enters the battlefields of Blizzard’s hero shooter. The new hero is actually quite a villain and one of the few true “melee fighters” in Overwatch. We take another look at his abilities.
The Hand Cannon is a kind of shotgun and his only way to deal damage at distance.
The Rocket Punch is a charged attack. The longer you charge it, the further Doomfist rushes forward and damages hit enemies. It penetrates barriers (like those of Reinhardt or Orisa) and knocks back enemy heroes. If the hit hero collides with a wall, they take increased damage.
With Uppercut, Doomfist strikes upwards, taking hit opponents with him, who stagger helplessly in the air for a moment.
Whenever Doomfist is in the air, he has a targeting cone for the ground. When he lands, he can use Seismic Slam to pull all affected enemies closer to him. This perfectly combines with Uppercut and the Rocket Punch.
His ultimate is Meteor Strike. Doomfist jumps into the air and can land in a target area. He inflicts high damage and stuns all hit targets, opening up further combo opportunities.
His passive ability is The Best Defense. Whenever Doomfist deals damage with his punches, he receives a temporary shield that absorbs damage. The shield decays after a few moments.

Changes to Loot Boxes
Opening a loot box should always be exciting and rewarding. Therefore, we improve the player experience regarding loot boxes in two main ways. First, we drastically reduce the chance that players will receive an item they already own from a loot box. Second, as compensation for the lower number of duplicates, we increase the amount of credits players can receive from loot boxes. With these changes, players should receive, on average, just as many if not more credits from loot boxes as before.
New Highlight Options
Our highlight system has received several major changes:
The game continues to automatically create highlights for you depending on your recent matches. These automatically created highlights – now called “Top 5 of the Day” – appear daily and are available for a full 24 hours (or until the next patch of the game client, whichever comes first).
Players can now create their own highlights! You can now record 12 seconds of your gameplay in the game. This feature can be assigned to a key of your choice (or to a key per available highlight slot) in the options menu under “Record Highlight”. These player-created highlights will be saved in a new section called “Recently Recorded” and will be available until the next patch of the game client. Players can store up to 36 highlights in this section at the same time.
Additionally, players can save any highlight, whether it’s “Top 5 of the Day” or “Recently Recorded”, as a video file in the appropriate media library of their console or directory of their PC. PC players can also determine the quality of the exported highlights. On Windows 8 or higher, 4K videos are possible; on Windows 7, videos with a resolution of up to 1080p.

The respawn times have been adjusted, so defensive delay tactics are weakened when the attacking team has a clear advantage and plays aggressively.
Custom Games and Game Browser
In the settings for the flag capturing in custom games, the text for “Flag Carrier Rules” has been revised.
The settings “Projectile Speed” and “Gravity on Projectiles” have been removed from heroes who do not possess projectile weapons.
The minimum value for movement speed has been increased to 50% (previously 10%).
Players can no longer select Roadhog in Limited Duels (1v1).

The Function of Your Island
An island in Albion Online serves multiple functions. On one hand, it is a fixed point where you can respawn in case of death. Everyone knows how frustrating it is to have to respawn in enemy territory with damaged equipment, only for the opposing faction to have it even easier to kill you again. An island saves you this frustration and gives you the opportunity to strengthen yourself before heading back into battle.
Furthermore, an island is your private crafting area, where you can process collected or purchased resources and craft items that can be sold profitably. You can also breed buff food and mounts, as well as beasts that can be used in battle, in your own area.
What to Consider When Buying
It is important to consider that you can only enter an island from the city where you purchased it. Its location is significant because the availability of resources in the adjacent territories affects the crafting you prefer.
If you specialize in crafting cloth garments, for example, a city adjacent to areas rich in stones or ores may not be the best place for your base. Choose wisely! Only one island can be acquired per character. While it can be destroyed, you will lose all previously invested materials.
The prerequisite for acquisition is owning an account with at least 30 days of premium time. If this runs out, you still have full access to your island. You can buy it from island traders, whom you can find in every major city in the game.

Expansion – How to Make It Worthwhile
After purchasing an island, you are theoretically free to do whatever you want with it. However, like any free system, there are certain guidelines that are more effective than others. This function is also available through the island trader and costs increasingly more silver with rising levels.

With the expansion of the island to level 2, a merchant will appear on it from whom you can buy seeds and young animals for breeding according to your level.
The total number of buildable area of a maximally expanded island consists of 11 large, 2 small, and 5 cultivation areas in total. They divide as follows according to the expansion level:
Level 1: 1 building plot
Level 2: 1 cultivation plot, 1 building plot, 2 small building plots, and a farming trader
Level 3: 1 cultivation plot, 2 building plots

It quickly becomes clear that an island only fully realizes its utility starting from level 2. Beginning with this, you can plant vegetables and produce buff food from them. This is not only very useful in combat but at higher levels necessary to keep production buildings running.
In the building menu, which you can open with the quick key H, all buildings are displayed. These are divided into the categories Economy, Agriculture, Military, and Houses.

A central storage additionally facilitates the distribution of resources needed for expansion.

These community islands are especially worthwhile because your own private island cannot provide all available buildings even in a fully upgraded state. For example, a maximally improved island has two farm areas – but also a total of four buildings that can only be built on such an island. A guild island helps you become completely independent of the production of other players and offers you better trading conditions. Additionally, buildings are much faster to construct and upgrade if you are not solely responsible for gathering resources. Price-wise, an island for your guild is significantly more expensive than your private island; like this, your community refuge is also upgradable a total of six times and offers depending on the level:

The Ghost counts your already achieved kills in both PVE mode (bottom) and in multiplayer mode (top). Instead of the usual cosmetic items, this item serves a purpose and is likely to encourage even more players to pre-order Destiny 2.
Whether the Ghost can be infused to higher light levels is still unclear – but it would make sense, as you want to keep track of the numbers throughout the game and boast about them to your colleagues.

And Who Receives These Bonuses?
The site DualShockers reports that all d digital versions will receive all the bonuses presented here. Whether this also applies to the German version is not known. However, one can assume so.
For players who want to buy Destiny 2 physically (i.e., in stores as a box), the situation looks a bit different: The retailer GameStop is at least offering the Ghost as a pre-order bonus exclusively. That is the current status. Whether Amazon or other major retailers will get involved is currently unknown.
It is known that the weapon Coldheart can be obtained in Destiny 2 starting December 5, even without pre-ordering. How it looks with the other bonuses is still unclear.
Mein-MMO believes: The pre-order bonuses that Bungie gave us for Destiny 1 did not last long. The Suros weapon package was nice, but only useful up to a certain point in the game.
The pre-order bonuses for Destiny 2 look different. If the items can be upgraded to the highest light level, they can be used permanently. A clever move that will certainly encourage more interested players to pre-order the game.

Last weekend, the Open Beta for the survival title “Citadel: Forged With Fire” ran for two days. I checked out the open beta phase and in this article, I’ll show you how the mix of an open game world combined with magic plays out.
Oh yes, I spent countless hours back then exploring the vast game world in Skyrim and clipping the wings of dragons with powerful spells. Those were the days!
This week, a new sandbox MMO called Citadel: Forged with Fire will be released. The game is supposed to be a mix of survival and role-playing elements. The trailer for Citadel looks promising, and there will even be flying broomsticks.
When I saw the short video and witnessed the wild broom chases, I couldn’t help but think a bit about the good old times. We used to sit in the cinema in the evenings with a pack of popcorn watching the latest “Harry Potter” movies.
Citadel: Forged with Fire – Starting in Lava
When I found myself at the start screen after countless attempts to join a server, the game reminded me a bit of ARK: Survival Evolved.
After joining, you can customize your character from a small selection of customization options. You can even paint your nails however you like.
Then it’s off to the map to choose your starting point. I picked the left point and immediately found myself in glowing lava. Maybe I’ll become a powerful wizard throwing fireballs around. Okay, enough daydreaming!
Citadel: Forged with Fire – An Open Game World with Magic
In the vast world – which is wonderfully named “Ignus” – it is up to you what exactly you want to do.
You can explore dark caves, defeat wild beasts, or throw spells at your competitors. Those who have explored the map a bit can build their own four walls from hundreds of different elements.
Here, you must – just like in ARK – gather the necessary materials and craft items. The more you play and the higher you level up, the more blueprints for additional stuff you unlock.
What’s also cool is: You can surround your fortress with magical shields that provide protection from hostile forces.
Citadel: Forged with Fire – “Expecto Patronum”
The main focus of Citadel is on the use of spells. You can learn a variety of different abilities and play with the elements. Whether you freeze your enemies with fiery projectiles or powerful ice spears: it’s up to you.
You can even hurl a fortress through the air using telekinesis. Your magical skills will also help you tame foreign beasts and let them fight by your side. Your companions have their own level system and grow alongside you through the many adventures.
Citadel: Forged with Fire – Into Battle
The MMO also offers a survival aspect. In Citadel, you must be on guard against hostile players and various monsters, fighting for survival.
Players have the option to band together and go to war against other factions. You can destroy enemy buildings or loot them. Those who prefer to go solo and not fight for fame and glory can play on one of the PvE servers offered by Citadel.

Is the game worth it? I must preface this by saying that my review is based on the beta phase and several things may have changed by the early access release.
At the time of playing, all servers were empty for me and I spent almost half an hour trying to join a server, as the game kept throwing me back to the starting screen.
The start on Ignus did not go smoothly. Citadel runs very unstable for me, even though I meet the system requirements. In terms of gameplay, everything feels like a mix of an MMO and ARK. You can build a house, go hunting, or further improve your wizard. This system is actually quite polished.
What I don’t like: You can lift and destroy entire buildings using telekinesis. Make sure to equip your house with a magic shield after building it; otherwise, your masterpiece can disappear faster on PvP servers than you can blink!
What I like: Citadel brings a fresh wind with its wizard setting to the survival game genre. Flying on a broom is also a novelty that we haven’t seen before – except in the “Harry Potter” games, of course.
The main issue Citadel struggles with the most is performance. The developers still need to tweak some aspects to make the game run more smoothly on the screen.
Personally, I don’t find the 22.99 bucks (on sale until August 3rd for 18.39 Euro) worth it just yet, and I’ll wait a bit until the performance improves. Until then, I’ll continue to pass the time in ARK, which currently offers the better overall package.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds recently received a patch that caused more damage than benefit. Aiming and crouching have been partially bugged since the update, leading to significant frustration among players.

When you move while crouching, your character briefly stands up and then continues in a crouch. This naturally leads to you being completely exposed for valuable seconds, allowing anyone to give you a headshot. Fortnite may seem like a casual game due to its comic book look and silly humor. But that’s misleading! Fortnite is complex and demanding. There are countless functions and mechanics that only become apparent later and can leave you scratching your head.
But luckily, we have our tips and tricks for the coop shooter!
Fortnite – With these tips and guides you’ll have the perfect start!
To ensure you have fun in Fortnite right from the beginning, we have collected 20 tips for you. Have fun trying them out!
Fortnite Tip 1 – Don’t waste your traps!
I wish I had known this tip at the start. I generously used all my traps in the first mission and then realized that I couldn’t collect them back or recycle them!
Don’t make the same mistake I did and save your good traps for your storm shield or really tough missions and place them in sensible locations.
Fortnite Tip 2 – Exploit the stupidity of zombies!
When laying traps, you should always keep one thing in mind: You are dealing with zombies. And brainless undead are really dumb. Therefore, the shambling beings will usually take the easiest path to your base. Take advantage of this and build them nice winding paths full of traps around your fortress perimeter.
This way, you ensure they have a true death march to undertake. Zombies can’t climb either, a mini wall will keep them at bay, so don’t waste resources on huge walls that you can’t even shoot over in the outer defense.
Fortnite Tip 3 – Don’t waste resources on pointless buildings!
You don’t need to build elaborate defenses in missions to win, especially at the beginning of the game. Often just a wooden shack around the mission objective and maybe a few elevated positions for a good shooting angle will suffice.
Ideally, you should camp at the spawn point and take out the zombies right there. So save your resources for the storm shield and ideally only build with wood in missions, not with valuable stone or metal scraps.
Unless of course, you have plenty of stone and metal, then you can go ahead and use them.
Fortnite Tip 4 – Invest in resource gathering expeditions
Make sure to equip an expedition soon and send it out to gather new resources continuously. This way, you save time in missions and won’t have to farm resources tirelessly. Use the time instead to explore and gather valuable stuff. Standard items like wood, metal, and stone can sometimes also be collected by your minions.
The expeditions work like a mini-game in a browser game (or like in WoW): You pick an expedition, send it out, and the NPCs will be gone for a while and have a certain chance of success to bring back rewards.
Fortnite Tip 5 – Go to the mines!
If you find a mine, you should definitely go down and collect the resources. There’s metal and stone in abundance, and you often find special ores. The mining equipment is also great for recycling to collect metal parts and other valuable crafting materials. You can often find mines on the edges of forest areas.
Fortnite Tip 6 – Look for secret rooms!
Not only in dank mines are there hidden treasures. Many of the former inhabitants of Fortnite’s cities created secret basements that can only be reached by force. So, if you’re in a house, feel free to break the floors. You often find secret hobby basements full of loot!
Fortnite Tip 7 – Ensure clear shooting field!
If you want to defend a mission objective, make sure that no filthy zombie finds cover there. So chop everything down and smash any cars and rocks around the mission objective. This way, you’ll get resources and as a team, you have a clear shooting field. Every shot counts!
Fortnite Tip 8 – Forget defenders, get friends!
You can call in computer-controlled followers from your support team to the storm shield or mission using the “Defender Pad”. They will stand around and shoot at anything that moves. Sounds good at first, but the guys and gals come totally unarmed.
Additionally, the AI buddies will demand valuable weapons and even more valuable ammunition from you. And since your companions are all trigger-happy idiots, they will waste your precious ammo in large quantities. So, it’s better to save yourself the AI support and bring in human players. They bring their own ammo!
Fortnite Tip 9 – Spend XP generously!
Don’t be stingy with experience points. Feel free to level up your favorite heroes, blueprints, and teams as you please. If you get a better version later, you can – provided you have the necessary perks from the skill tree – recycle the old version of the hero, blueprint, or team member and you’ll get a nice chunk of XP back. So you can afford to be generous.
Fortnite Tip 10 – Recycle weapons before they break
Very important: While you can repair everything in the game, oddly enough, you cannot repair your weapons. However, if you have the blueprint, you can rebuild the weapon as many times as you want, as long as you have the resources available. To avoid losing precious resources, you should disassemble a nearly broken weapon in time and rebuild it. This way you save valuable resources!
Fortnite Tip 11 – Grant your friends building permissions – But only to them!
When you expand your storm shield, you must fend off a few waves of enemies. This works best with friends, who also gain progress in their “Hold-the-Door-Quest” from this. The annoying thing is that the friends apparently cannot build anything on your map.
This is because, for protection against trolls, a build and gathering ban is enabled by default. Otherwise, randomly invited players could tear down your buildings and then mockingly leave while laughing “Trollololol”.
However, if you trust your teammates, you can allow your teammates to build and gather resources by accessing the storm shield terminal under the “Notifications” tab. This is especially great when, for example, a teammate can upgrade your walls or has particularly cool traps.
Fortnite Tip 12 – Use the weak spot upgrade when harvesting!
Harvesting resources can often take a while. However, you will receive a perk early on that allows you to detect weak spots. These look like small blue dots that constantly change in size and randomly appear on the resource.
Make sure to always hit these spots; it makes the harvesting go much faster. This is also important when you need to tear down your own walls to build new ones. Metal walls especially can otherwise hold up for ages.
Fortnite Tip 13 – Harvest specifically!
Don’t chop down everything like a lumberjack, but use your time wisely. The best resources to harvest are cars and machines; these often give you metal and additional goodies like metal parts or screws and nuts.
Also useful are mechanical objects like air conditioners, power converters, or pumping stations. You can also find particularly valuable ores and stones in mines and less in the wild.
Fortnite Tip 14 – Always explore the entire map
Instead of just harvesting all resources blindly, you should take the time before the actual mission starts to scout the map. This not only grants you an achievement, but you will also find survivors, hidden treasures, and anomalies. This gives you additional loot, and exploring is definitely more exciting than just whacking trees and stones!
Fortnite Tip 15 – Feel free to craft for your friends, there are no soul links!
If you can build a fully upgraded weapon while your friends are still messing around with lame junk, feel free to give them a gift and craft a super weapon or trap for them. Just drop the item in the inventory menu, and your buddy can pick it up and use it. There’s no minimum level or soul binding. Cooperation is king in Fortnite!
Fortnite Tip 16 – Expand your support team!
Once you have unlocked certain perks in the skill menu, you can add additional heroes as supporters. These characters do not appear in missions themselves but provide significant passive bonuses. You receive 20 percent of their stats as a bonus to the main hero’s values, so it is worth leveling up the other heroes.
However, even cooler is that if the necessary perk is available, you get the passive bonuses of the hero. These effects are listed under “Bonuses” for each hero and can significantly expand your playstyle. Don’t forget about your support teams of survivors. They provide you with extremely high bonuses to your stats when equipped well!
Make sure they all have the same personality and ideally provide the same bonus, then you get even more improvements. But in a pinch, random characters will do; some bonuses will stick regardless.
Fortnite Tip 17 – Claim your daily rewards and research points
Log in to Fortnite at least once a day. Even if you don’t have time to play, you can still grab your daily login bonuses. Additionally, the game regularly generates research points that you can invest in useful perks.
So you’ll get an expanded inventory and bonuses to your stats. Be sure to collect your research points regularly and invest them, as there’s a limit to the points you can store, so you won’t waste anything.
Fortnite Tip 18 – Loot first, then smash!
Remember that you can loot certain objects in the game world. Trash cans, crates, or cabinets are such objects. If you simply destroy them, the contents will break, and you’ll only get standard items. So, it’s better to loot these objects first and then smash them!
Fortnite Tip 19 – Read the skill list carefully!
Your skills spread across four expansive ability trees. Since you sometimes need to grind for a long time to acquire enough skill points, you should know exactly what you want and avoid unnecessary detours. Take the time to look carefully at what you are getting and when.
Then aim diligently for it and don’t mess around in the tree. This way, you can optimize your hero for your play style. You can still acquire the other skills later when you have spare points. There is no upper limit on skill points.
Fortnite Tip 20 – Plan your storm shield carefully in advance!
Your home base in the respective region is your storm shield. Unlike in the missions, everything you build here remains permanent. So don’t build mindlessly; plan strategically for the future. Be sure to use metal walls for the storm shield at the beginning and create complex structures.
Also, keep in mind that you’ll need to set up and defend additional storm shield outposts on the map later on. These will be the first to receive the wave of attacks from that region and will also need defenses.
In such cases, remember to build quick pathways to the outposts, ideally via bridges leading from the center to the outposts. This way, all defenders can change positions quickly and undetected.

With Eclipse, the developers are releasing the largest update to date for the free-to-play MMORPG Trove (PC, PS4, Xbox One) in August.
Two months after the Megalithic update, new challenges await you in Trove. The Eclipse update will be released on August 22 and expand the dangerous Shadow Tower by two new levels. The name fits well; “Eclipse” means solar eclipse – a partial solar eclipse is expected in the USA on August 22.
In Eclipse, you will face, among others, the Shadow Hydraken, the feared Darknik Dreadnought, and the Daughter of the Moon. This will lead you to valuable treasures and allow you to find the coveted Moonsilver costumes.
Mix Your Classes!
Another highlight is a new class modification system. Reach level 10 to unlock subclasses that you can choose in addition to your existing class, granting you passive skills and bonuses. You can combine the classes as you like, providing different advantages each time.
Also new is the Trove Atlas, which allows you to quickly travel between biomes using an illustrated map. This way, you can easily embark on new adventures.
The ability to enhance existing gem stats is another fresh feature for Trove. This means that stats you don’t like can be reassigned. However, keep in mind that gems discovered after Eclipse will no longer have health regeneration values. Daily login bonuses are also part of the update. The tokens you receive can be exchanged at the Radiant Merchant for useful items.
More Updates Planned
If you play Trove, the Eclipse update will bring you plenty of new things to do starting August 22. The add-on will be released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
But the developers are not resting on their laurels and are already working on further improvements.
These include a new tutorial, the increase of the mastery cap to over 300, a new biome, a way to build structures faster, and much more.
