What can be seen in the trailer?
The English trailer begins with the words that you should enter the Crucible to fight, to annihilate, to conquer. You see new armor pieces and weapons in action. Interestingly, the gear of the Guardians features the logos of the factions (Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, Future War Cult). So these will also be present in Destiny 2.

The pirate version of “Battleship” Skull & Bones will probably not offer a single-player campaign, but somehow that’s supposed to be good.
The US site GameSpot spoke with Justin Farren, the Creative Director behind the pirate MMO Skull and Bones. Farren has supposedly eliminated the word “No” from his vocabulary.
He has been asked several times whether Skull and Bones also offers PvE or a single-player campaign, and the answer is actually “No”; however, Farren’s response is essentially: “It’s all in the game, but not in the way you expect, but woven with the multiplayer mode and PvP.”

In the past few days, the last “Iron Banner”, the Iron Banner in August 2017, has been active. Today, at 11 AM on August 8th, the Iron Banner era will conclude. This monthly PvP event, which has been around since summer 2014, may return in Destiny 2, but definitely not in Destiny 1.

The latest expansion Stormblood has raised Final Fantasy XIV to over 10 million players. Critics love Stormblood. The subscription numbers are growing. But there’s a catch.
According to a press release, Final Fantasy XIV now has more than 10 million players worldwide on PS4 and PC. The expansion Stormblood has contributed to increasing the user base worldwide. However, the main reason for the success of Final Fantasy XIV is that the title is so robust and stable, being constantly fed with new content.
The number is not as impressive when you read the fine print: For these 10 million also includes the “Free Trials”, i.e., the free trial accounts. Furthermore, the 10 million is the “cumulative player count”, which is the number of all who have ever created an account for Final Fantasy XIV.
The 10 million players do not represent the number of players who are actually active and paying for it. Nevertheless, it’s an impressive number.
We have even more impressive numbers for Stormblood.
Stormblood – the Critic’s Favorite
Stormblood is on its way to becoming the critic’s favorite of the year. On Metacritic, the PS4 version of Stormblood has 89%.
The PC version of Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood stands at 87%. For comparison:
The Morrowind expansion of ESO has 78% (PC)
The “Heart of Thorns” expansion for Guild Wars 2 stands at 81%.
World of Warcraft: Legion scores 88%, one point better than the PC version of Stormblood.
Even the last FF14 expansion Heavensward was highly rated by critics: it received 86% back then.
Praise in the Financial Report
Stormblood also receives praise in Square Enix’s financial report. Revenues in the MMO sector skyrocketed from 5.9 billion yen (about 45 million €) to 9.3 billion yen (about 71 million euros). This, according to Square Enix, is due to the sales of Stormblood and an increasing number of subscribers.
In addition to Final Fantasy, Square Enix counts the “Dragon Quest” game series among its MMOs. In Japan, these are bestsellers.

Role players in World of Warcraft breathe a sigh of relief – Blizzard saves the largest RP event with an extremely quick hotfix.
Yesterday we reported on the largest role-playing event of the World of Warcraft community. The American RP server Moonguard was supposed to host the Tournament of the Ages and entertain several hundred players for a week. However, the first day of the event was a disaster. The culprit is the phasing or sharding technology that World of Warcraft has been using for some time.
As soon as many players are in the same area, WoW creates multiple instances of that area, so it doesn’t get overcrowded. This can be bypassed with a raid group – then at least 40 players can be in the same area.
However, for the Tournament of the Ages, it was supposed to be many more players. This led to the problem that many players were alone in the Argent Tournament grounds and could not see the large event.
Blizzard disables sharding in Northrend on RP realms
To the community’s astonishment, Blizzard has reacted “blizz-fast” and announced on Twitter that they are currently deploying a hotfix. This will disable the sharding technology for the continent of Northrend on RP servers.

For the past few hours, you can find the legendary bird “Zapdos” in Pokémon GO. As the developers stated, you can battle and catch Zapdos since the morning of August 8. So get ready to search for legendary raid battles where the “Electric Bird” can be found.
Finding Zapdos – New Raid Boss in PoGO
In July, Pokémon GO celebrated its first anniversary together with the developers and players around the world. During the GO Fest in Chicago, there were tasks to complete that ultimately led to the release of the legendary Pokémon.
It all started with Lugia and Articuno. Articuno is part of the legendary bird trio and was catchable in the game for about a week. After that, the ice bird was replaced by Moltres, which was also available for a week in Pokémon GO.
Now Zapdos, the final part of the trio, is active for a week until August 15. You now have the chance to complete the legendary bird trio in your collection.
The electric bird “Zapdos” is vulnerable to rock and ice attacks from other Pokémon. This leads to many counters that you can use in the fight against this raid boss. A Golem, which can use two rock attacks, is particularly strong.
If you catch Zapdos, it is a significant addition to your collection. So far, the bird is the strongest electric Pokémon in Pokémon GO. If the legendary beasts Raikou, Entei, and Suicune are activated in the game, Raikou will take over the role of the strongest electric Pokémon. But that doesn’t make Zapdos a bad choice.

Rockstar is launching the “Destiny 2” cans in the USA, Canada, the UK, and Germany. You can see their design in our title image.
The “premium cans” include codes that you can redeem on the Rockstar site (link opens a new page) starting September 1st. You will then receive in-game gear to equip your guardians. What this gear will look like is not yet known.
Additionally, you can enter sweepstakes with daily and weekly prizes using the codes. According to the can’s label, these include “Collector’s Editions” of Destiny 2 and “PS4 Pro” systems. The grand prize is one of the motorcycles in the Rockstar and Destiny 2 designs:
In different countries, only specific flavors of Rockstar energy drinks have the codes. In Germany, they are the “Original” and “Sugar-Free” flavors.
An similar energy drink promotional campaign took place nearly two years ago for “Destiny: The Taken King”. Back then, players could find certain codes on “Red Bull” cans sold by the retail chain 7-Eleven. This could start an exclusive “Red Bull Quest” with rewards at the end.
This campaign, however, led to frustration here in Germany: Because the promotional cans were not available in Germany. Instead, the whole action was quite chaotic because the codes were fairly easy to forge. Whether the Rockstar promotion for Destiny 2 will run better remains to be seen. At least German guardians can now participate.
US Guardians can eat Pop-Tarts to get XP boosts
Pop-Tarts is also releasing products in “Destiny 2” designs. The packaging features the three different guardian classes prominently and is said to be suitable for collection, according to Activision. By purchasing such a box, there are XP boosts for Destiny 2.
For German guardians, however, this is less interesting – the promotion only runs in the USA.
Destiny 2 will be released on September 6 for PS4 and Xbox One and on October 24 for PC.
The new champion for League of Legends is called “Ornn, the Mountainsmith” and is apparently a tank character. An almost music video introduces the champ and its background.
In the teaser video, you can get an initial impression of Ornn, who is set to be released next in LoL. Well, a visual impression is rather difficult – The video prepares you “differently” for the new character. The story that accompanies the newcomer in League of Legends is written on old paper. The story is underscored by epic music.
New information about Ornn should follow soon on the League of Legends website. Until then, we can only speculate through the teaser.

Passive – Living Forge and Craftsman
Living Forge – Ornn can spend gold to forge items for himself at any time when he is out of combat. The recommended items conveniently appear in a special menu on the screen. Ornn can also manually open the merchant menu to forge items.
Craftsman – Ornn and his teammates have access to upgrades for certain items at the merchant. Each player can only purchase one of these upgrades.
Q – Magma Rift
Ornn strikes the ground, creating a fissure that deals normal damage and slows opponents. After a brief delay, a magma pillar rises at the target location, lasting a few seconds and functioning like a small wall.
W – Fire Breather
Ornn becomes unstoppable, shields himself from damage, and breathes fire. This fire deals a portion of the target’s current health as magic damage. Opponents hit by the last flame burst become brittle. Ornn’s normal attacks knock back brittle targets.
Brittle opponents take a portion of their maximum health as additional damage when hit by immobilizing effects. Immobilizing effects also last longer when an opponent is brittle.
E – Scorching Charge
Ornn charges forward, dealing damage to all opponents he knocks over. If Ornn collides with terrain, the impact creates a shockwave that deals damage and knocks opponents into the air. This ability can destroy terrain created by players.
R – Call of the Forge Fire
Ornn summons a giant fire elemental at the target location, which then moves toward him with increasing speed. Opponents who are trampled by the elemental take magic damage and become brittle.
Ornn can reactivate the ability to charge forward. If he hits the elemental with his charge, he redirects it. The redirected elemental then knocks up all affected opponents, dealing the same damage as before and also making them brittle .

LoL Ornn Introduction
Riot often introduces new champions in line with their lore, and they don’t make an exception with Ornn. The text shown in the video is titled “The Path to Hearth-Home” and suggests that Ornn is some kind of “Smith of the Gods.” “Sparks leap and fly from the star-fallen ore, forging his works,” further indicates the notion of a smith.
Perhaps as a smith, he will also have the ability to create a blockage on the map, similar to Trundle, that affects the movement paths of champions.
Ornn’s Horn
Unfortunately, there isn’t much information about Ornn yet. Riot announced that the next champion would be a tank, and we are relating this to Ornn. Whether we will see a hefty top-laner or a supporter who can absorb a lot of damage for his ADC is still unclear.
The song also mentions a bridge, which could possibly hint at an event (maybe on the ARAM map?). Such events would definitely suit the clear ARAM map.
