The Mobile MMORPG virus is spreading in Asia. After South Korea, Japan is now also caught up in the fever of “Lineage 2 Revolution.” What will happen when the game is released here in Europe?
The MMORPG Lineage is the game in South Korea. Since 1998, this MMORPG has regularly provided record revenues for developer NCSoft. Even today, 19 years later, it remains the most successful game of the Korean giant. The successor “Lineage 2” was released in 2003 and has already been around for 14 years.
In early 2017, competitor Netmarble launched the mobile MMORPG “Lineage 2 Revolution” with the license from NCSoft. This was the sensation of the year in the mobile sector so far. It is rumored to have grossed 176 million USD in one month – and that only in South Korea.
From 0 to 1 – Lineage 2 Revolution takes over Japan
Netmarble then released the game in other Asian countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
On August 23, Lineage 2 Revolution was released in Japan and took the island by storm. It shot to the top of the charts within a day. It is said to have taken 18 hours to reach number 1 in the App Store.
Other titles like “Royal Blood” are also fighting to be pioneers in this new generation of mobile MMORPGs. Moreover, almost all established Asia MMORPGs have mobile versions in the making. Mobile games for Tera, Black Desert, Blade and Soul, and Aion are in development.
Lineage: With Mobile into the Future – Instead of Lineage 3, there are three times Lineage
The Lineage franchise is in a strange situation. Three games are competing to lead the franchise into the future:
This is Netmarble’s Lineage 2 Revolution, which we are reporting on here
In Destiny 2 clan banners have strong perks. Additionally, there will be clan seasons with rewards.
Clans in Destiny 2 are significantly more important than they were in Destiny 1. Now they not only show the affiliation with other guardians but also serve as an “in-game feature” – with a uniqueprogression system and exclusive rewards.
There is now new information regarding this “progression system” obtained from fresh gameplay material. It has already been known that your guardians can be equipped with a clan item, as this free slot was already displayed in the console beta:
Now there is one of these items to see for the first time. Here you receive a clan banner from Hawthorne. This screenshot contains exciting information:
Perks that you must unlock as a clan
Apparently, the clan banners grant you various perks. This clan banner has the following:
Receive additional glimmer when you loot engrams
More rewards in public events
Better rewards when eliminating cabal enemies
Increased chance for reputation tokens when completing nightfall strikes, raids, or the trials
Increased chance to receive an engram when mastering playlist activities with a clan member
However, these perks are not active immediately. You must unlock them first.
The screenshot indicates that the banner gains strength as your clan proves its power. Furthermore, there is information: As your clan reaches higher levels, new clan perks will be unlocked – every season!
Clan seasons in Destiny 2
The existence of clan seasons is also shown by a look at the revamped Bungie.net page. Go to “My Clan,” where “Season 1” is already displayed.
What these clan seasons will specifically be is not officially known yet. However, it is expected that you will need to collect a certain number of points as a clan within certain time periods. The more points, the higher your clan level and the more perks and rewards will be unlocked.
On Bungie.net it states below “Season 1”:
Clans unlock character perks and rewards by reaching higher levels. The more active the clan, the higher the clan level.
Below is a bar that will reflect your clan progress. Presumably, this clan level will be reset after each season.
Interesting: There is also a second score – the “Guardian’s Oath Score”. When you play according to the rules of the Oath in the Guided Games, this score improves. In English, it’s called “Oathkeeper’s Score” – which means that you are supposed to genuinely help other guardians in Guided Games to lead them to victory. And not troll them.
How the clan rewards will look specifically is still unknown. However, there should be rewards similar to the Super Bowl. In the companion app, it states that you can earn “weekly clan engrams” for the entire clan. What else there is, remains to be seen.

Star Citizen has presented its latest feature with Faceware. Mastermind Chris Roberts believes this feature has the potential to revolutionize gaming. Player-to-player communication has never been so lifelike as in Star Citizen. Patch 3.0 is also on the way.
Star Citizen is incredibly ambitious. From the very beginning, it was planned as a game that makes the most out of top-end PCs, without compromising on consoles.
Player-to-player communication has never been so lifelike
A new feature has been introduced: Faceware. This is supposed to capture players’ facial expressions and emotions and project them onto their in-game avatar.
So when you’re sitting at home smiling, your avatar smiles too. If you make a face as if you’ve just bitten into a lemon, your avatar in Star Citizen makes that face as well.
No insane hardware is required at home; a webcam is enough to use the feature. However, there is also hardware developed by Faceware that further enhances this experience.

Chris Roberts believes no game in history has used such a system before Star Citizen. This has the chance to revolutionize gaming.
The facial expressions and impressions of the players could be transferred to the avatars in Star Citizen. If you also consider that the players’ voices come from where their avatars appear in the virtual world, you would have player-to-player communication that has never been so lifelike.
Star Citizen is facing a huge Update 3.0 – or maybe not
At Gamescom, Chris Roberts reiterated in a conversation with PCGamer that one can expect the big Update 3.0 to happen between September 4th and September 8th.
However, GameStar reports: There are still so many bugs in 3.0 that CIG will wait until October to release the update. Currently, October 9th is stated as the target date in the developers’ schedules.

3.0 is supposed to mark a milestone in the history of Star Citizen because it brings the individual modules together. Roberts talks about how 3.0 represents the shift from “We have some parts of the game” to something that is “closer to an Early Access game.”
For years, many have been waiting for Lost Ark, a kind of Diablo with more MMORPG elements. Now the game is approaching the second Closed Beta, and there is new information. In the second Closed Beta, players will embark on an exploration journey. They will find much more world in CBT2 than in the first Beta.
The Long Wait for the Release of Lost Ark
Lost Ark was first shown to the German audience three years ago in initial teasers. At the end of 2014, a highly regarded video article appeared on GameStar.
At that time, the impression arose: It could be released at any moment – Lost Ark already looked so polished! But a release of Lost Ark is still a long way off, not to mention its appearance here in Germany. Polished and presentable in 2014 was only a snippet of Lost Ark. The game is still in development – that takes time.
Currently, the Korean “Hack’n Slay” is approaching its second Closed Beta. The first one took place in the summer of 2016. The CBT2 of Lost Ark is now set to begin “soon” in Korea, a precise date is not yet known, but the developers have started presenting the Beta.
Lost ARK: Second Closed Beta Will Offer a Significantly Larger World
The CBT1 in summer 2016 was said to have only shown the “beginning of the adventure”; now in CBT2, it will begin. In CBT2, players will be able to set out to explore the world of Lost ARK – it is much larger than what was available in CBT1.
The developer Smilegate has released a map. Here in the screen, you can see that the area of CBT2 has grown significantly.
An article describes a sea voyage. An adventurer sets off on a seven-day seafaring journey with a ship, experiencing adventures, encountering a ghost ship, escaping from it, exploring islands, and finding demons and treasures there.
It seems that beings called “Doki” are relatives of the treasure goblins from Diablo. They also hoard treasures. There is also mention of a mythical king Doki.
It will surely take a while before we can get our hands on Lost Ark here in Germany. Experience shows that only a few take the effort needed to participate in a Korean Beta.
Update: The dates for the Beta are now known. The second Closed Beta of Lost Ark will take place from September 15 to September 25 in South Korea.
Note: The article was originally published on August 12. We have updated it with the date of the Beta.
Here you can find more about the game that so many are waiting for:
The randomness factor in WoW is worse than ever. Or is it? At least the WoW lead developer sees it differently.
Many veterans of World of Warcraft often fondly remember the “good old days” of Classic and The Burning Crusade. Back then, the air was cleaner, the fel was greener, and RNG was not a fixed part of the game – or was it?
In an interview with the YouTuber and streamer from FatbossTV with Ion Hazzikostas from Blizzard, many small niche topics were discussed, including one that has been a particular thorn in the community’s side since Legion: RNG.
RNG stands for Random Number Generator and is the abbreviation for everything that is decided randomly and probabilistically in the game. This includes the chance of receiving a specific item or the possibility that items are upgraded, thus becoming “Titanforged”.

The community’s perception that WoW currently has more RNG “than ever before” is simply wrong.
Hazzikostas explains Blizzard’s approach: The number of items that an individual player receives (Personal Loot, World Quests, Bonus Rolls, etc.) has been significantly increased. As a result, the chance of obtaining at least a small upgrade from one of the many sources has risen.
Certainly, there are some points – such as legendary items – where the RNG is considered particularly annoying by some players.
In Burning Crusade, RNG was much more devastating
But back then, during The Burning Crusade, the problem was even more severe. Good gear was almost exclusively available from raids. An item like the Drachenwirbeltrophäe from Gruul made a difference of nearly 15% DPS. And that item dropped only about 20% of the time and then had to be distributed to a single player in the group. Those who simply had “bad luck” fell far behind their colleagues – much more than is the case today.
The basic feeling of the hunt for the “perfect” item is something that one wants to preserve at all costs. A currency system where all things are guaranteed would ruin that feeling and also take away the joy of finally holding the coveted object in one’s hands.
Yes, it’s the wrong Gruul. But you know who we mean!
Therefore, World of Warcraft has always had a share of RNG, and it was significantly higher in the past – especially with The Burning Crusade.
Do you agree with Hazzikostas’ view? Or was the RNG in WoW back then not that significant? Or did people simply not perceive it as strongly because not every detail was discussed?

Breakaway is a colorful hero shooter and the first project by Amazon Studios. Breakaway is currently still in open alpha and was also showcased at Gamescom 2017. But what makes Breakaway special and why did Jürgen like it so much? Find out here!
“Not another colorful hero shooter” crossed my mind when I first saw Breakaway at Gamescom 2017. Until then, the first game from Amazon Studios had not caught my attention significantly. However, it was on my list of interesting titles at Gamescom.
However, it does remind me a lot of Overwatch, Gigantic, or Paladins, and with these three titles, fans of hero shooters are already well-served. So what does Amazon intend to do differently?
Breakaway – Hero Selection – The Usual Colorful Bunch
Together with other journalists and some developers, I got to try Breakaway. At first, everything really reminded me of Overwatch or Paladins. There is a selection of colorful and quirky heroes categorized into tanks, damage dealers (melee and ranged), and supporters. Among the selections are:
an Aztec sun priestess
a wild barbarian with claw gloves
a nasty demon angel
a Viking with an ice axe
a monstrosity that seems to consist only of gaping maws
a dark gunslinger
a sharpshooter similar to Widowmaker, but instead of a high-tech combat visor, wears a cyclopean octopus on her head
Breakaway – Paladins Meets Hutball
Sure, cool quirky heroes are always fun and I love how developers create new combinations from the same archetypes over and over again, but I’m no longer blown away by the umpteenth version of McCree or Widowmaker. Nonetheless, all the heroes looked cool and were lovingly animated and designed.
So I started a round together with three other players. It quickly became clear to me: This is not Overwatch, this is not Paladins, and this is not Gigantic! Because in Breakaway, it’s not about kills or capture points. Instead, the gameplay strongly resembles the fun PvP game mode “Hutball” from Star Wars: The Old Republic or “Chaosball” from the latest ESO DLC “Horns of the Reach”.
In the middle of the rather small playing field lies a ball. You need to grab it and throw it into a well located in the enemy’s starting zone. If you succeed, you score a point. You also get a point if the ball is in the enemy half of the field after 4 minutes of playtime. And if you completely wipe out the opposing team before any of them respawns, you also win a point. The first team to reach three points wins the entire game.
Breakaway – Fast-Paced and Tactical Gameplay
Anyone who picks up the ball cannot attack or use skills. So it’s essential to pass the ball in time, because if the ball carrier is attacked often enough, they will lose the ball again. Only with good teamwork can you achieve your goal by tactically passing the ball to teammates and not rushing in as a lone wolf.
Each hero also has three skills (two offensive, one defensive) and a super ability that really packs a punch. My swift barbarian warrior and assassin Jarra could, for example, jump at the opponent or shower them with a flurry of strikes. For her defense skill, she could turn invisible and quickly escape or strike.
Breakaway – Upgrades Between Rounds
You can also place items, such as small turrets or traps – rather cruelly right in front of your own well. Between rounds, you can also improve your stats with acquired resources, like more health, more damage, or better armor penetration, just like in Paladins.
This way, you become even stronger and may gain an advantage in exciting battles. Overall, Breakaway plays very fast and still strategically, as the chase for the ball is constant.
A moment of inattention, and the enemy breaks through and must be intercepted before they score a “touchdown” in the well. It’s unfortunate if all your powerful skills are on cooldown because you wasted them in an unimportant skirmish a few seconds ago.
Play Breakaway for Free in Alpha on the Weekend
If you enjoy exciting and dynamic hero shooter action in the context of a brutal ball sport, you can pull the Breakaway client at any time and participate in the weekly recurring alpha weekends.
These free testing phases start every Friday at 02:00 and end at 08:59 on Sunday morning, our time. You don’t need a special code; anyone can participate. Since Breakaway is launched via the Twitch game library, you will additionally need the desktop app and a Twitch account.
For me, Breakaway was a pleasant surprise just because I hadn’t had the game on my radar and was only expecting the umpteenth hero shooter. I was even happier when it turned out to be a fun sports game akin to Hutball where something is always happening and the rounds are pleasantly short and full of action.

Furthermore, the game from Amazon already looks really good in alpha and impresses with great comic graphics and smooth animations. I will therefore keep a closer eye on Breakaway in the future and participate in various alpha weekends. Maybe we will see each other there!
Monster Hunter World (PC, PS4, Xbox One) was playable for the first time at Gamescom. Our author Leya seized the opportunity and set out to track down the Anjanath to slay the beast. As a veteran of the Monster Hunter series, she was thrilled by the seamless maps and the innovations like the Scout Flies. Read here her first impressions.
Monster Hunter World is an action RPG where players take on the role of a monster hunter and slay beasts in epic battles. The titles can be played alone or cooperatively with up to 4 players.
At the core are a skill-based leveling and a deep crafting system for armor, weapons, and traps. To become the ultimate hunter, players embark on quests, where they must fight through different regions and a realistic ecosystem.
The franchise is incredibly popular in Japan and is mainly played on handheld consoles. Although the series has sold over 40 million copies worldwide, the success of Monster Hunter has primarily been limited to Asia.
At Gamescom, I played Monster Hunter World on the PS4 and I am simply blown away. I have fallen in love with the franchise all over again and am excited about the innovations.
Monster Hunter captivates with epic battles and a deep crafting system
I played Monster Hunter earlier on the handheld console and simply enjoyed the series. My last title was Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, which was released in 2015 on the 3DS in Europe.
The franchise does not focus on a deep story and concentrates on pure gameplay and crafting. This will remain the case in World.
In a quiet chamber, Monster Hunter World was waiting for me – I had been excited for days to finally test the new part of the action RPG. Now it was tangible on the PS4 and a large TV in 4K before me.
Monster Hunter World feels “livelier” due to new features than its predecessors
Except for the action-based weapons, I was able to experience and feel all these changes. I noticed nothing of a dumbing down of the game. The new features have merely added more dynamism to Monster Hunter and made the gameplay even more exciting.
The feeling of a living and breathing ecosystem in which I move as a player is supported by the innovations. The world feels much freer and more open than that of its predecessors, which indeed gives a sense of “open world”.
I was not pulled out of the gameplay flow by any annoying loading screens and could interact with the world around me. There are little plants or creatures everywhere that you can use for your benefit. Frogs that explode and stun, or explosive plants that blind can cause troubles for the monsters.
Scout Flies track the Anjanath for me – It has never been easier to track a monster
The Scout Flies are probably the biggest change of the franchise alongside the seamless maps. The little green insects buzz around the world and find my monster. As a hunter, I have to analyze footprints or, in the case of the Anjanath, the slime trails it leaves everywhere.
As soon as I find and analyze a footprint, the flies gain experience points and can even level up. To obtain particularly strong Scout Flies, I must examine as many trails as possible. This way, the flies learn and find the creatures faster and easier.
The flies lead me from one trail to another and I can simply follow them. I have never tracked a creature in any Monster Hunter so relaxed. In the older installments, you had to mark the monsters with color bombs and faced a lengthy and tedious process. The monster could escape to any area and the color would fade after a while.
This change feels strange as a veteran at first, and I wondered: “Is this too easy for a Monster Hunter title?” However, after a while of reflecting on this way of tracking, I found my enjoyment in the flies.
They lead me through different areas, gave me focus, and how much I deviate from their trail and explore on my own is ultimately up to me.
Tracking the monsters is more relaxed through the flies and takes less time during the hunt. I actually liked that.
The battle with the Anjanath felt real due to the seamless maps
I followed my flies for a while and eventually arrived in a cave where I found a sleeping creature before me: the Anjanath.
Here I could have chosen different strategies to tackle the fight. For instance, I could have thrown a net on it to restrain it.
But since I had my big, clumsy sword with me, I decided on the following: surprise the Anjanath in its sleep and just hit it! This made the beast quite angry, and it grabbed me directly in its large mouth and tossed me to the ground.
As an iron hunter, however, I was not deterred and continued to hit the monster with various weapon combos. At some point, the Anjanath had probably had enough and walked away. Because in Monster Hunter, the creatures behave realistically and run away when they are more severely injured.
The Scout Flies buzzed again to show me the way to the Anjanath. I ran after it through tight tunnels and grass. Tried to catch it again and hit it.
Meanwhile, the controls felt clumsy and static, as you would expect from Monster Hunter. However, thanks to the seamless maps, the chase was super exciting and faster than I was used to from the older titles.
It felt real.
Monster Hunter World will excite many hunters in the West – both veterans and beginners
Unfortunately, my time with Monster Hunter World was limited at Gamescom. I had not even had the opportunity to test the 14 weapon types and the sophisticated crafting system.
Nonetheless, I am convinced that Monster Hunter World will be the strongest title of the franchise so far. All the changes tailored for the West support the feeling of a breathing ecosystem, and the hunts feel as real as never before. Even if the Scout Flies seemed too simple to me at first, they fit into the overall concept.
I have only seen a small part and cannot judge whether tracking the monsters throughout the game is associated with other – new – challenges.
These changes could indeed help beginners ease into the game but do not take away from the depth of the game.
Because the battles remain highly complex, the monsters act differently, and you must learn their weaknesses. The environment is much livelier and gives you new opportunities to engage your brain. Because through the interactive plants and animals, completely new strategies arise.
Destiny 2 was extensively playable on PC at Gamescom 2017. Jürgen ventured into the MMO shooter as a Destiny noob to see what the Destiny phenomenon is all about. You can find his impressions report here!
Destiny! No game is as popular on Mein-MMO as Bungie’s MMO shooter. But for players like me, it has always been a mystery. The reason: I have no console and therefore never got to enjoy the game and only understood train station when I heard Tom rave about it.
But I always wondered: What is so good about it? What makes Destiny so appealing?
Destiny 2 – Finally on PC!
So I was really happy when I found out that Destiny 2 is not only coming out for PS4 and Xbox One but is finally also being released on PC. At the same time, I heard all sorts of doomsayers like:
“This will only be a lame console port, Bungie is just throwing the PC version together haphazardly to squeeze out a few bucks from the dumb PC players!”
“Destiny can only work on consoles, the brilliant gunplay is designed for aim assist and would never work on PC with mouse control!”
“Destiny is a console game and that’s good too! You monkeys from the PC Master Race already have everything, we simply won’t grant you Destiny!”
This somewhat dampened my enthusiasm, but I was still curious. Destiny 2 couldn’t be that bad; after all, there are professionals at Bungie and not total beginners. And maybe they really have a heart for poor PC players like me. So I was quite excited when I got the chance to play Destiny 2 on PC at Gamescom 2017.
Destiny 2 on PC – “Click the ball!”
Together with my colleagues Dawid and Leya, we waded through the crowds at Gamescom and finally found Bungie’s booth, where we finally got to experience Destiny 2 on PC. I was assigned a free PC, where I found a Hunter in the specialization “Arc Striker”.
The Arc Striker is a Guardian that summons an electrically charged combat staff as a special power and dishes out brutally. At first, I had zero idea about the game and tried for minutes to even start a game. Only Dawid’s impatient “Click the ball!” finally got me into the game.
Right at the beginning, I was greeted by a nicely staged cutscene where some folks were talking about something. A cheeky robot, a grim woman with short hair, and a weird blue bald guy appeared in it. Then bulky ships attack and stick some kind of cuff to a large ball hovering over a city in the background.
I don’t really get anything, but still, my interest is piqued. Who are all these characters bravely resisting the attack? And who is attacking us anyway? And what is that weird ball? While I was still pondering that and stumbling through the ruins of a square, a sort of landing capsule suddenly drops next to me and a horde of huge, clumsy armored aliens descends upon me! Luckily, I have a large-caliber pistol at hand and, with a few shots, I take down the enemies.
But that’s not all, the blue bald guy from the intro video is under heavy pressure and needs help! Wave after wave of armored aliens attacks him and the poor guy cowers behind a wall fragment seeking protection!
I come to his aid and a fun shooting gallery ensues. Aliens repeatedly try a storm attack and I keep mowing them down. I can finally try out my superpower for the first time and use the lightning staff to take down enemies by the dozen without resistance.
Destiny 2 – Gunplay, atmosphere, graphics – everything just clicks!
No matter if with a pistol, assault rifle or sniper rifle, Destiny 2 gets everything right in its king discipline – shooting. In Destiny, it’s known that the main objective is to blow the heads off stupid aliens, and it succeeds excellently thanks to the fluid gameplay. The mission I played was ultimately just a tube full of scripted events, but they were simply great!

Something was always happening, aliens were landing, buildings were exploding, and in the background, more and more of the huge alien ships were pushing through the sky, pressing against the mysterious huge ball. All of this looked super thanks to the stunning graphics of Destiny 2 in 4K quality and 60 FPS on the high-end PC on site.
Superior Mouse Control
The shooting comes easy. Even total noobs get in quickly, and thanks to the good gunplay, you can mow down enemies in droves. I didn’t notice any aim assist like on consoles. However, many of my shots hit, and headshots were no problem thanks to the precise mouse control.
In no time, I was through the entry mission, and when the final sequence finally came, I stood eagerly in front of the screen, hoping it would somehow continue, as I was having so much fun!
The entry mission was enough: I went from being a Destiny noob to a passionate fan who can hardly wait for the game to finally come out on PC. I’ve gotten a taste and want to keep playing, NOW IMMEDIATELY!
I want to take revenge on the alien scum that stole the beautiful ball, I want more weapons and shooting action! And I want to finally know what Destiny 2 is all about and what it has to do with the ball, the bald guy, and the robot joker.
P.S. Sorry to all Destiny fans for not using the correct terms. I promise to improve once I can play the game after release. Then I will happily dive into the lore of Destiny and name everything correctly!
Massive published cryptic tweets and codes about The Division – what does it mean? Apparently, a big announcement is coming!
Such a thing has not happened in The Division before: The developers at Massive are announcing something new at this hour and giving the community hints about what it could be. At least we suspect that. Because the tweets that the official Twitter channel is currently publishing are extremely cryptic.
It is likely that they are several teasers for Update 1.8, of which hardly anything is known so far. We summarize all the previous information about this “puzzle”.
The Rioters are certainly involved
The first strange tweet appeared yesterday evening, on August 25. Massive published an image (see our title image) with the heading: “We had to deal with our own business.” What the developers wanted to convey to the community with this was unclear to anyone. It was discussed on reddit. To no avail.
These hints became more interesting:
The Twitter channel of The Division changed its profile picture:
This is undoubtedly the logo of the Rioters – these represent, along with the Cleaners, the Rikers, and the LMB, the fourth enemy faction in The Division. Here is an image with the faction symbols:
On the other hand, Massive published various codes. So far, these are: 1164-1353/888-1874 and 898-2876/967-2517. These may indeed be coordinates in the game. However, they do not lead to specific locations. Instead, there is another idea in the reddit forum: When you enter these numbers in Google Maps, locations are indicated near Central Park, such as “1164 Central Park South, New York City, New York, USA” or “1874 Central Park West, New York City, New York, USA”. Perhaps these numbers are hints that there will be a map expansion in Central Park. However, this can only be speculated about.
Further tweets from The Division:
“We had to hurry like rats to grab what we could, as long as we could.”
“We were outgunned, the embodiment of loosely organized chaos.” This image was published:
The community developer Hamish Bode shared these tweets and always wrote a question mark above them. When asked if Bode himself didn’t know what it was about, he merely replied with a winking smiley.
In short: A bigger announcement is coming. How long this puzzle game will last, we will see.
What do you think? Are these teasers for 1.8 or even for The Division 2? What could be behind the codes?
However, players discovered another nerf in the current version of the PTR that was not noted in the official patch notes. If Doomfist uses his Rocket Punch in the air (i.e., during a fall or jump), the range is reduced by nearly 25%!
As long as he is on the ground at the start of the ability, he can shoot up to 20 meters (at full charge) ahead. However, if he is in mid-air, the Rocket Punch only reaches a maximum range of 15 meters.
https://gfycat.com/CreepySimilarIberianchiffchaff
This makes Doomfist’s movement in the air significantly more difficult, as he can cover much less distance.
It is possible that these changes are merely an unintended bug. However, Blizzard has repeatedly made small adjustments in the past that were not previously noted in the patch notes.
Do you think Doomfist needs more nerfs? Or is the reduction of his ability hitboxes sufficient?
In “The Journey: Hunter Returns” in FIFA 18 the story of Alex Hunter continues. However, you will not have to experience it alone – 4-player co-op will be possible.
It has been known for months that the story mode “The Journey”, which was first introduced in FIFA 17, will receive a continuation in FIFA 18. This is called “The Journey: Hunter Returns” and directly connects to the plot of its predecessor.
According to EA Sports, Alex Hunter has become the number one topic of conversation worldwide after a sensational debut season in the Premier League. However, a transfer seems to be looming before the start of the second season. In other words, Hunter is expected to move to new leagues.
First, however, he will take a summer break in Brazil (where Alex Hunter will probably kick a bit on the streets) and then a pre-season tour in Los Angeles. This is how you will experience the life of a professional footballer in all its facets.
You won’t have to do all of this alone.
Co-op in Story Mode
As reported by ran and Kicker, there will be a four-person co-op mode in “The Journey: Hunter Returns”. Until now, the story mode was a pure single-player mode.
In FIFA 18, a multiplayer co-op function is now being introduced. With up to three other players, you can experience the journey of Alex Hunter. To do this, you need to click on “Multiplayer” before an upcoming match and then connect the additional controllers.
Alex Hunter himself can, of course, only be controlled by one person on the field. However, it was already known in June 2017 that there would be several playable characters in the story continuation. Hairstyles and outfits are said to be customizable.

Closers places great importance on telling exciting stories. The story is released in episodic form and presented in anime style. Each episode advances the story and introduces you to new challenges with new, even more powerful opponents.
In South Korea, Closers has been available since December 30, 2014. It is considered a free-to-play 3D action MMORPG in a sidescroller style.
Through a pirate server, it was also playable in the West. However, it is now officially published in western regions by En Masse Entertainment (NA Tera). A closed alpha is planned for September.

In Destiny 2 the trophy list is known with all trophies (Achievements). This reveals the name of the raid as well as mysterious symbols!
Buckle up, there is big news about Destiny 2! The complete trophy list for Destiny 2 has appeared online, revealing interesting information.
In total, there are only 14 trophies in Destiny 2, most of which belong to the “Gold” quality. With the exception of the Platinum trophy, these achievements should be identical to the achievements on Xbox One. We present them in German.
List of all trophies in German – Destiny 2
There are no Bronze trophies. These are the “Silver” quality trophies:
A long, winding path – Reach level 20
People’s Hero – Complete a Heroic public event
These are the Gold trophies:
Zavala’s Lieutenant – Obtain every Titan focus.
Cayde’s Vanguard – Obtain every Hunter focus.
Ikora’s Protégé – Obtain every Warlock focus.
Show me what you can do – Complete Shaxx’s Call to Arms.
Like the Flash – Complete a Flashpoint.
Heart of Darkness – Complete a Nightfall strike.
Pure Exotic – Collect 15 exotic weapons or armor pieces.
Challenge Accepted – Complete 30 challenges.
At the Heart of Evil – Complete the Leviathan raid.
The Prestige – Complete the Leviathan raid or a Nightfall strike on “Prestige” difficulty.
So that you are not judged – Make the acquaintance of an Emissary from the Beyond.
Platinum trophy:
The Chosen of the Traveler – Obtain all trophies in Destiny 2.
If you want to see the symbols for all trophies, you can do so on the psnprofiles page.
Is this the Leviathan in which the raid takes place? The community is puzzled
The Leviathan raid, the Emissary, and Prestige
These trophies reveal exciting things:
The new raid is called Leviathan. The trophy itself is named “At the Heart of Evil.” However, translating the English original literally, the trophy is called “In the Belly of the Beast.”
What the Leviathan is all about can only be speculated. In the Destiny universe, there was once a Leviathan, described as a gigantic, intelligent creature that was a pupil of the Traveler. However, it was destroyed by the Hive, and the Worm gods Eir and Yul consumed its corpse. Therefore, it probably isn’t this Leviathan.
During the Destiny beta, concept art was released showing a gigantic creature that could be the Leviathan. We have embedded the picture above.
There is also an interesting observation. This is the trophy symbol of the raid. In the upper left corner, there is a small symbol: Luke Smith wore a sweater during a presentation that had this symbol displayed upside down:
Particularly interesting is the trophy “So that you are not judged”. In German, you make the acquaintance of an Emissary from the Beyond, in English, it’s referred to as “Emissary”, meaning an envoy. This is the symbol for it:
This Emissary apparently has something to do with the Nine. In the upper left is the symbol of the Nine: IX.
The three spheres in the middle have also been seen before. Luke Smith wore them on another sweater. That these mysterious symbols that Luke Smith wore on presentations will be significant has been speculated by the community for a long time. There is currently no further information about this. Perhaps this Emissary is the new “Xur”?
Furthermore, a trophy description indicates: There is apparently a difficulty called “Prestige” for the Nightfall and the raid. This is probably the highest difficulty level.
Level 20 could be the new maximum level in Destiny.
What do you think about all this information? What could the Leviathan be? It doesn’t necessarily sound like the Cabal. Right now, there is speculation on reddit that our title image could be a scene from the raid – from inside the beast.
In life, you have to set priorities – or not? When an urgent Overwatch match calls, even a wedding must take a short pause.
Real life and the harsh realities of gaming can sometimes be difficult to balance. When family calls for dinner, the boss wants an urgent article, or suddenly grandma is ringing on the phone.
But sometimes you just have to let your inner gamer win! As Kotaku reports, it happened to Joonas Alakurtti, better known in Overwatch as Zappis. He was invited to a good friend’s wedding party over the weekend – it’s hard to say no. But on the same evening, an important game took place – the beginning of the Overwatch Contenders tournaments, where a proud $100,000 is at stake.
Zappis did not show much sign of time pressure – first at the ceremony, spent a few hours with the other guests, and then back to his computer to game. However, he took several hours to get into the right “mindset” – otherwise, it’s hard to win games. The plan worked – the first match was won by Zappis and his team.
After the victory, he immediately returned to the wedding. Zappis did not want to miss the party afterward.

However, Zappis also criticizes the Overwatch Contenders league. The schedules are too short notice and have little flexibility. Other eSports tournament providers manage this significantly better.
How would you have acted? Would you have canceled the appointment at a friend’s wedding? Would you have given up your team and thus your chance to win? Or would the whole thing have been too stressful for you?
In The Division, today, on August 26, there is the big vendor reset. Which items are particularly worth it?
When you go into your inventory and select the “Backpacks” tab, the currencies are displayed in the middle of the screen. If extremely high numbers are shown, then it’s time to head to the vendors! The Phoenix Credits and Dark Zone currency are particularly important for purchasing items from the vendors.
Since the 1.7 update, many agents are only interested in weapons and mods. We no longer recommend armor pieces, as now the secret set pieces are the way to go.

Bungie presents characters from the world of Destiny 2 in short videos. Cayde-6, the leader of the Hunter Vanguard, has now received a trailer introducing his character.
The characters and story were not among the strongest aspects of Destiny 1, but with the introduction of “The Taken King”, significant progress has been made.
A large part of this was due to the focus on Cayde-6, the leader of the Hunter Vanguard, who is voiced in the original English by none other than Nathan Fillion (the German voice had to be replaced for Destiny 2 unfortunately).
While other characters may still seem bland, Cayde-6’s cheeky and sarcastic nature has been well-received in the community. This may be one reason why Cayde-6 will also play a prominent role in Destiny 2.
The very first major trailer for Destiny 2 made this clear. Cayde-6 mistakenly referred to the main antagonist Ghaul as Gary. This resonated so well with the community that even a dedicated sub-Reddit for Gary was created. It became too much for Bungie as well – and they asked to please call the Cabal boss Ghaul.

As Destiny 2 will also be released on PC for the first time, Bungie and Activision specifically want to draw the attention of new players to the characters of the Destiny universe.
Short clips will now introduce each character (as was done with Hawthorne, a new character in Destiny 2) and give you a taste of what role the characters will play in the story of Destiny 2.
In the video itself, you can get a glimpse of some gunslinger abilities and experience the kind of humor that defines Cayde-6. He is described as a jack-of-all-trades and a devil-may-care type:

The online shooter Warface will soon receive the update “Prypjat.” In it, you will explore the eerie remnants of the nuclear disaster-stricken city of Prypjat near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. In the eponymous district of Prypjat, story missions and exciting twists await you.
Warface is an online shooter distributed by MY.com. In addition to the well-known game modes, there will soon be a new scenario as part of a special mission that takes you to a dark place in recent history: Chernobyl and the nearby city of Prypjat.
Warface: Dark Action in the “Zone”
The update Prypjat leads you to the eponymous city of Prypjat in Ukraine. The city had to be evacuated in 1986 due to a catastrophic accident at the nearby Chernobyl nuclear power plant and is now a ghost town.
However, in Warface, Prypjat does not only pose an increased radiation dose. Rather, enemies have made themselves at home there, and in special missions with plot twists, it is your task to thwart their plans. “Prypjat” will only be the beginning for further story expansions in Warface.

To make the update as realistic as possible, the developers visited the site and closely inspected the city of Prypjat multiple times. You can find a trailer of the developers’ efforts embedded here. Enjoy!
When does the PC beta of Destiny 2 start? How can I get keys and codes, and when is the launch of the open beta? All the information about the PC beta of Destiny 2 is here in overview.
The Destiny universe comes to the PC for the first time with Destiny 2. Until now, the MMO shooter was exclusive to PS4 and Xbox One, which is why many players are excited to see how Destiny 2 will be played on PC with mouse and keyboard.
The release of Destiny 2 on PC is on October 24th – however, you won’t have to wait that long to get an impression. Because a beta phase for the PC version will take place at the end of August. Everything you need to know about it will be presented here in the overview.
When does the PC beta / open beta of Destiny 2 start? Release date and time
The PC beta of Destiny 2 consists of two phases. The dates for these are:
Destiny 2 PC beta with early access: August 28, 2017, at 19:00
Destiny 2 PC open beta: August 29, 2017, at 19:00
The PC beta phase ends on August 31, 2017, at 19:00.
All interested players have access to the open beta. However, if you want to start a day earlier via early access, you either need to pre-order Destiny 2 for PC or somehow obtain a beta key.
Keys and codes for early access – redeem key via Bungie.net and Battle.net
If you pre-ordered Destiny 2 for PC directly from the Blizzard store, you automatically get early access to the Destiny 2 beta. This means you don’t need a beta code; you can download the required game data directly.
All other players who receive a beta key from their retailer or won a key must redeem this key first. The following steps are necessary:
Log in to Bungie.net. You can log in to Bungie.net with your Blizzard, PSN, or Xbox Live credentials or create an account.
Once you are logged into Bungie.net, visit the redemption portal (link leads there). Enter the beta key here. You will receive a message that the code has been verified.
Next, go to Bungie’s “Redeemed Codes” page. Here you need to select your platform and region. Choose the only option “PC Global” and click on Go. You will then be shown the beta code that you need for Battle.net.
Now log into Battle.net to redeem the received code in the Blizzard shop. You need an account for Battle.net.
Select “Redeem Code” at the bottom left in the shop and enter the code. A message will appear indicating that you want to redeem the Destiny 2 beta. Click on Continue. Done!
Preload of the Destiny 2 PC beta – When does the pre-download start?
If you want to start playing as soon as the beta launches, you can download the necessary game data in advance.
The preload starts on August 25 at 19:00 our time.
If you have successfully redeemed your code, you can click the large “Install” button. This will start the preload. You need to download about 16 GB. Players without a key can download the data starting August 29.
System requirements for the Destiny 2 PC beta
The system requirements for Destiny 2 have been announced by Activision and Bungie. Check here to see if your computer can handle the Destiny 2 beta:
If you are wondering how to control Destiny 2 on PC, there is a graphic here:
The content of the Destiny 2 PC beta – The content
The content of the PC beta is similar to the content of the console beta:
Story mission “Homecoming”: As soon as you start the beta, you choose a character. You then go directly into the first story mission called Homecoming. In this mission, you experience the attack of the Red Legion on the Tower.
Strike – The Twisted Column: After the story mission, you gain access to a strike – a 3-player group activity. You must face the Cabal and the Vex on the planet Nessus.
PvP: The PC beta will include two PvP modes:
Countdown: An “Assault and Defense” game mode. It will be played on the map “Downtown”.
Control: Capture and defend zones. The more zones you occupy, the more points per kill you receive. It will be played on the map Javelin-4. This map was not available in the console beta.
In the PC beta – just like in the console beta – there will likely be six different subclasses available. These include the Dawnblade, the Voidwalker, the Sentinel, the Striker, the Gunslinger, and the Arcstrider. Read about the new subclasses in Destiny 2 here.
By the way: First issues of the beta are already known, which you can read about here. Keep in mind that this is just a beta version that is being conducted for testing purposes.

The squirrels in World of Warcraft are going rampant. They are disrupting trade in Orgrimmar – but how did this happen?
If you’re traveling in Val’Sharah, you’ve likely been asked by a worgen lady to crack some nuts and relocate squirrels a few times. But have you ever wondered where all the little rodents are actually being relocated to?
The answer to that question has now been found by user Zhimu on Reddit. When he attempted to visit the auction house in Orgrimmar, a crate with the rodents apparently burst open – the entire place was filled with squirrels, which even caused some graphic hiccups as too many NPCs were displayed at once.
Is the Auction House Dance Party Responsible for This Glitch?
The exact reason for this massive outbreak of rodents is still not completely clear.
