In Steam, former WoW developers wanted to score with their own mini-MMO. But instead of a big release party, it ended in a crash landing. Now, the rapid end of the project is following, along with refunds for the fans.
Which game is it about? The ex-game designer of World of Warcraft, Chris Kaleiki, and his team Notorious Studios, which includes 7 other WoW veterans, wanted to implement their very own vision of a game.
The origin of the developers is clearly visible in their title Eldegarde. The game visually resembles WoW, even though the title leans toward New World. The developers wanted to create a mix of extraction game and mini-MMO, oriented towards the success of ARC Raiders.
As in an MMO, you can choose a class, loot, level up, and fight against mobs, but also against real players. After the round, the loot can be exchanged for cash, which can then be invested in your own equipment like elixirs.
Here you can see a trailer for Eldegarde:

Crash Landing and End
How did the release go? The mini-MMO left early access on Steam after about a year on January 21, 2026. However, the release of the title attracted only a few interested players. Even at the official release, the MMO had fewer players than during early access and reached only about 1,100 players according to SteamDB.
At the same time, the rating on Steam is not great either. About 67% of around 4,600 reviews have given a positive impression of the game, which is why the title stands at “Mixed” on Steam.
After the release, the low player numbers dropped even further. On the week of March 3, 2026, only 350 players played at peak times, according to SteamDB. Too few, as it turns out now.
Eldegarde: Player numbers according to Steamdb
What did the developers announce? The poor player numbers led the developers to take their game offline. In an update post on Steam, they announced that their title will no longer be available for purchase and that the servers will go offline on March 31, 2026.
They clearly state that too few players have purchased the title to make further development financially viable.
In a further post on Steam, the developers also explain that players who have supported the title for a longer time can receive a refund on Steam if they indicate in their request that the title is going offline. They have arranged this procedure with Steam.
Is this the end for Eldegarde? No, because although according to the developers’ statement, a large part of the developers are no longer on the team, a small group is supposed to make the title playable offline or develop a client-server that allows fans to continue playing Eldegarde without costs for the developers.
Whether this will actually work and be feasible remains completely open. The developers clarify that this will be voluntary and thus likely in the free time of the devs, and it is also a big task. Whether this undertaking can be carried out as a hobby project is unclear.
A player proudly shows off his new gaming setup. But the community warns that this can’t go on for long. Meanwhile, the user has rebuilt his setup. The health concerns have likely made the user think twice.
What kind of setup is this? A player posted on Reddit his “improved” gaming setup: After playing on a laptop for a long time, he has finally found space for a gaming PC. He placed his computer on the partially free slat base and mounted his monitor to his bed with a bracket.
But the community is unsure: Is this still pride or already desperation that prompted him to make this post?

Gaming setup in bed likely promotes unhealthy posture and other problems
What’s the problem with the setup? Many comments explicitly warn him about his setup and explain that this setup is anything but healthy. One person writes: “I thought you were in a hospital” and another adds: “He will be if he continues this situation for too long.”
The problem is that this setup promotes an unnatural posture. This unnatural position can lead to tension in the lumbar area, back pain, and neck problems in the long run. Sleep research reports this (via springermedizin.de).
The Kaufmännische Krankenkasse also warns against improper strain on the spine and muscles when sitting bent over the monitor for hours. In the long run, this can even lead to permanent postural damage. Barmer also warns of long-term back damage due to poor posture in everyday life.

How has the situation turned out? In a new post, he has since rearranged his setup again: His entire gaming setup is now on a table. In his post, he explained the change by saying that he no longer gets neck pain from it.
And a user accordingly commented: “I’m glad you did that. Your back and neck will thank you. This bed configuration was simply bad for your body.”
However, there are also manufacturers who want to offer gamers such setups explicitly: Sitting/lying in bed all day while playing on the PC or console. A company that specializes in such products is the Japanese firm Bauhutte: Gaming dream comes true: With this bed, you never have to get up again

Night City from Cyberpunk 2077 is full of crazy characters. A player encountered an NPC, who engages the law with just a pair of shorts. The situation is so absurd that one might think the man is a bug, but the encounter was no accident.
What kind of NPC is this? The mentioned NPC is an initially inconspicuous-looking, but then acting wildly bizarre man who confronts an NCPD police officer while only wearing shorts. The player Necessary-Mobile182 shares a clip of this sighting on Reddit, where you can see the absurdity of the moment.
The man knocks the policeman to the ground, walks away as if nothing happened, and then informs the player that he collects knees and already has seven of them… only to then start dancing.
Here you can see the clip if the description so far hasn’t been enough for you:

“Who is this man?”, wonders the Reddit user. He wanted to scan the NPC to find out his possible name but couldn’t stop laughing. Now he asks the community if the man has a name, but even experienced Cyberpunk veterans are just as confused as the player himself.

Is the situation a funny but random bug? No, it’s not a bug, even though the NPC’s strange behavior might suggest otherwise. In fact, the player encountered one of several scripted, albeit strange, situations with NPCs that one can encounter in Cyberpunk 2077.
Another example of a built-in NPC moment can also be found in Dogtown, as you can see here on YouTube:

“This was added as a scripted encounter with Patch 1.6,” explains Reddit user Zestyclose-Fee6719, “CRPR loves to add surprising open-world elements with each major patch.”
How do other players react to the situation? Based on the reactions under the Reddit post, it seems that the community-named “Cyber-Florida-Man” was rather unknown.
“Over 100 hours in this game, but I’ve never seen anything like this,” writes Expensive_Set_8416, but he is not the only one.
JoeJarn comments: “Almost a thousand hours in this game, countless playthroughs, and who knows how many hours of videos about the story and gameplay. This video is now my absolute favorite in terms of Cyberpunk, and I mean that seriously. Thank you.”
The players appreciate the man’s dedication despite his strange collecting obsession. Not only his raw boxing power but also his dance moves earn him many fans: “I don’t know who he is, but the chummer has real moves,” finds SirUgarte, and ProtonCanon writes: “No shoes, no shirt, no mercy.”
As much fun as the current expansion WoW: Midnight is, there are many small issues in Azeroth right now. Part of the community misses the old Blizzard polish and points to an example that immediately stands out.
What is that example? In an in-game sequence from the Midnight region’s campaign Zul’Aman, we see troll warrior Zul’jarra throwing an axe at a casting ogre with a scream. The throwing weapon seems to glide through the air as if no physical forces are acting on it. Zul’jarra’s wind-up motion also looks surprisingly cheap.
A discussion on Reddit, which revolves around this very issue, currently has more than 2,280 upvotes and over 480 comments. The most upvoted comment by cannib shows in a GIF a scene from an old trash movie where the tons-heavy Godzilla flies through the air towards an opponent just like the axe (Source: Reddit).

How is the community reacting? Some trash fans find the current in-game sequences of WoW entertaining due to such errors. Many other players criticize that such obvious details pass through quality assurance.
GlitteringWarthog993 writes on Reddit: “There were many funny moments like this in the new cutscenes in the game.”
Jeb764 wonders on Reddit: “Isn’t there an animation where warriors literally throw their weapons?” Other players confirm this and also point out that hunters now have something comparable – so there would have been more suitable animations available.
DracoRubi brings up another example on Reddit: “For me, the best cutscene was one during the intro questline where Xala’tath begins to mock Turalyon in Quel’danas. Turalyon makes silly faces for some reason […].”
borghive criticizes on Reddit: “The quality of some areas is simply terrible.”
TrumpChildOnahole adds on Reddit: “Especially in a game with a high monthly fee and a cash shop.”
Blizzard still makes so much money with WoW after all these years and has such a large team available that many fans just wish for more polish on such details. After all, that’s what the studio behind Diablo, StarCraft, and Warcraft was known for long ago.

They would all know up to what point the creator of One Piece would want to take the actors. However, they couldn’t reveal what exactly his vision is:
He has a vision of where he wants to end up. Not ending, but where he wants to take the live-action series. And we all know about it. Yes. We all know how far he wants to go. […] There is a specific arc up to which we are supposed to go… Of course we can’t say that. That would only cause trouble.

Thus, Mackenyu is likely referring to a contractual clause that the actors signed, which obligates confidentiality regarding certain topics.

Several points possible for the end
When could the series end? In the anime, there are several arcs that would be well-suited for an ending:
In the American 4Kids dubbing, the anime already ended before the Skypiea arc. At the end, you only see how a ship falls from the sky. Since the clouds might be difficult to animate, the Skypiea arc would be a good exit point.
The Sabaody Archipelago could mark the end of the journey and perhaps already hide the treasure for the Straw Hat crew there.
The series could end shortly after the Marineford arc. Luffy is separated from the others and is focused on intense training. The outcome of this remains open.
If the series ends earlier than the manga, there would have to be a corresponding conclusion that leaves no questions unanswered. It might even be possible that the ending is rewritten to fit perfectly for the live-action adaptation.
In The Lord of the Rings there are plenty of elves whose names and stories we know. In one case, however, the fans of the movies were responsible for bringing an inconspicuous background character into the spotlight.
Which elf are we talking about? He was actually supposed to be just an insignificant extra in the background. But the character played by actor Bret McKenzie gained some popularity through the first film of The Lord of the Rings.
In The Fellowship of the Ring, the then unnamed elf can be seen during the scene of Elrond’s council. There, it is discussed how to deal with the One Ring. The aforementioned elf first sits next to Aragorn. Later, when Frodo volunteers to carry the ring to Mordor, the character stands at the edge of the debating characters.
Even back then, the very handsome but unfortunately silent elf caught the attention of some fans. He gained some popularity, leading director Peter Jackson to bring him back for the third film. There, the elf even gets to speak a whole sentence.
In the scene where Arwen sets out for the Grey Havens, she has a vision. Because of this, she stops, and the elf approaches her and notes that they cannot linger.

The fans’ love for the unknown and actually rather unimportant elf not only led to him getting a proper name – his actor was even allowed to return to Middle-earth some years later.
Epic Trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship
Frodo is cool, but…
What name did the elf receive? The community named the character “Figwit.” This is an abbreviation, using the initial letters of the words in a certain sentence.
This sentence in English is: “Frodo is great… who is that?” (Frodo is great… but who is that?).
Although Frodo was supposed to attract all the attention during the scene of Elrond’s council, it was Figwit who kept the fans engaged. In 2004, even a fan documentary was released, which can be seen today on YouTube.
This did not go unnoticed by Peter Jackson and other actors like Gandalf actor Ian McKellen. For part 3, the character was allowed to return with his own line of dialogue.
However, this was not the end of the time in Middle-earth for actor Bret McKenzie. When Peter Jackson released the first offshoot of his The Hobbit trilogy in 2012, McKenzie was back on board.
He played the elf Lindir, who welcomes Gandalf in Rivendell. In the making-of (via MiddleEarthUpdates on YouTube), the actor expresses his delight:
I was totally thrilled when I was asked if I wanted to come back for a role in the film.
Bret McKenzie
Although this appearance is also relatively short, fans of the actor must have been pleased to see him again.
By the way, apart from his appearances as an elf in the Middle-earth films, McKenzie is not an unknown person. Besides acting, he also works as a musician and won an Oscar in 2012 as the composer of the film The Muppets.
The new season “Mirage” started on the weekend in Path of Exile and has attracted many players once again. After many hotfixes were released over the weekend, there is now a preview from the developers about what they are still working on.
How did the season start go? With Path of Exile: Mirage, the developers have made a significant change to the endgame system of the game after a long time. Following the overhaul of the trading system in the game last year, this is now the next fundamental revision of the game.
The developers aim to streamline their system and fine-tune the experience for players with this update. The new features around the new Holy Hammer build, which developer “Octavian” also plays, seem to be a good substitute for the currently absent new class.
The positive reception of the update is also reflected in the player numbers on Steam. At the season start on Friday, over 190,000 players (Source: SteamDB) gathered to start the ARPG. However, the developers were not idle either.
You can watch the trailer for the new season here:

11 Hotfixes and more are coming
What did the developers accomplish over the weekend? The developers were not idle over the weekend of the season start and delivered a total of 11 hotfixes for the most urgent issues. This is nothing new for fans, as the ARPG often receives dozens of adjustments after launch.
This time, it seems that the developers have done particularly well with the season start. They reported in a new post about the problems and changes that are still being worked on.
On PathofExile.com, there are currently only 9 specific issues that are bothering some players. One issue to be fixed is where players from the permanent leagues, who are not playing the new update, have problems with progression in the Atlas.
How do fans react to the smooth start? Fans are almost surprised at how well everything went this time. There is a lot of praise for the developers, but also some points that players feel are missing in the developers’ listing. They wrote on Reddit:
Ecstatic_Chard4184: “If you fix the issue where clicks are not registered, this will be the best league of all time”
yuimiop: “Probably the most boring ‘What we’re currently working on’ post I’ve ever seen for POE, which is a compliment to the developers. Normally, there is some horrible issue with the league at this time in the game.”
SoulofArtoria: “While we’re at it, can you please make the caches drop a little more? Most of the time they literally drop nothing but complete junk loot. […].”
v4xN0s: “I just hate waiting for the mobs to spawn and then having to run back for their chests. If you see this, GGG, please let all mobs spawn in advance instead of making us run over them, and change how the bronze and silver chests work.”
A developer hacked into a vacuum cleaner. Now he is receiving around 26,000 euros for his discovery. The manufacturer also stated that they want to completely redevelop their software.

Developer receives 30,000 US dollars for discovering a security vulnerability
What does the developer receive? According to an email obtained by TheVerge, DJI is supposed to pay Azdoufal 30,000 US dollars for a single discovery. However, the manufacturer does not specify the vulnerability for which they are paying the finder. DJI did not confirm the email but told TheVerge that they would pay an expert the money.
Besides the vulnerability that the expert found with his controller test, there are reportedly other vulnerabilities that have been or are being patched. DJI explained that they want to completely overhaul their current system:
We have additionally started updating the entire system. This includes a series of updates that are expected to be fully implemented within a month.
Is such a payment unusual? Paying hackers or experts to find security vulnerabilities is not unusual: Large companies like Google or Microsoft rely on official programs that invite hackers to attack their systems. For particularly relevant security vulnerabilities, many companies pay high bounties.
In Crimson Desert there is more than one way to storm a fortress. A particularly whimsical physics experiment recalls a scene from a cult action film from India.
What is that scene? It comes from Baahubali 2: The Conclusion from 2017 and shows 6 men using a tree as a catapult to hurl themselves into a fortress. The tree was tightened with the help of a rope. Once the fighters have taken their positions, a single sword stroke is enough to fly through the air and over the wall.
To cushion the hard fall, the 6 fighters form a protective shield roll in the air. Like an oversized barrel, the formation crashes between their enemies. Afterwards, they take on an overwhelming number of foes.

pull Kliff to the targeted position with the grappling hook
use the grappling hook like a swing to propel yourself over a cliff or wall
grab a treetop with the grappling hook, pull it back to build tension, and launch yourself forward with speed
Just like in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, you can also catapult yourself into a fortress in Crimson Desert with the help of a tree to face an overwhelming number of foes. However, due to the lack of a co-op or multiplayer mode, you’ll have to enjoy the fun alone. Perhaps developer Pearl Abyss will add group flying in a patch.

How does the community respond to the comparison? With great anticipation and winking comments on Reddit.
Mohegan567 writes on Reddit: “I tell people this is captured material from Crimson Desert.”
prathz1109 celebrates on Reddit: “Hahaha, that was unexpected. Maybe we can create more Baahubali movies.”
PowerNutBuster explains on Reddit: “A friend from India forced me to watch the movie. It was so bad that it was good.”
Aeruthos sees it differently on Reddit: “Baahubali 1 and 2 are among my favorite movies, haha, so I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought of that.”
Le1jona hopes for Reddit: “I hope we get a multiplayer option allowing us to invite friends to our single-player mode.”
What do I need to know about Baahubali 2? The Baahubali franchise now consists of several films and series and enjoys cult status not only in India. Behind the series is the creative mind of director, producer, and writer S. S. Rajamouli, who has made a name for himself with over-the-top, epic action films. With RRR, he has already made a splash on Netflix.
What do I need to know about Crimson Desert? The open-world action-adventure from the creators of Black Desert will be released on March 19, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox. You can expect a pure single-player experience with a wonderfully old-school Buy2Play payment model (buy once, play everything, no microtransactions), a huge world, and plenty of content.
A villain from One Piece first appeared about 19 years ago. Now it comes out: He even measured himself against a current villain that Luffy recently fought.
What is this secret? The author of the manga, Eiichiro Oda, once again faced the questions of fans. In the 114th issue of the Q&A, he answered a question about a name that caught a reader’s attention.
Is the “Kozuki Moria” seen on the cover of chapter 1158 actually Gecko Moria? I bet you’ve received countless questions about this, but please tell us, Odacchi!!
In fact, the reader had the right instinct:
Gecko Moria and Kaido are said to have fought each other once.
Moria’s entire crew is said to have been killed. Therefore, he would have developed a personality that would rely on others.
This is how he is also said to have come into possession of the body of the legendary samurai Ryuma and his famous sword Shusui.
Moria is said to have been washed ashore in Wano Kuni as a young man. In recognition of his strength, the residents gave him the nickname Kozuki, which refers to a legendary man from the land. Even after Moria set sail as a pirate, he greatly appreciated the residents of the land.
Therefore, he is also said to have returned when Kaido took over the land. However, he suffered a bitter defeat, for which he was so ashamed that he left Wano Kuni. The residents assumed that he had died in battle, which is why they built a tomb for him that is seen on the cover.

Two villains have fought each other before, but Oda had no time
Why was it never mentioned earlier? Oda revealed that he actually wanted to unveil the secret during the Wano Kuni arc. However, he could not find the right moment to address it.
We can also assume that this battle will never be shown in the manga as a flashback. The story is currently nearing its conclusion, and due to time constraints, Oda has already cut out earlier battles, that are actually part of the lore.
Who is Gecko Moria? In the anime and manga, Gecko Moria appears much earlier. He is the villain of the Thriller Bark arc. There, he commands his zombie army and collects shadows to create the strongest zombie in the world. However, Luffy was ultimately able to defeat him.
Dungeons & Dragons lives on the shared experiences in combat and role-playing as well as on the characters who embark on adventures. There is a variety of races that offer unique appearances as well as additional gameplay factors to the individual personalities. In this list, we present to you which races you prefer for your adventurers.
The different races in Dungeons & Dragons offer something for every player that they might desire in role-playing. Whether through advantages in combat, special traits, or simply vibes: All races offer something that makes them unique and consequently a favorite for many players.
D&D Beyond, the official digital toolset for Dungeons & Dragons by Wizards of the Coast, shared a ranking of the most popular races of the game in its 2023 year in review. The results showed which species have captured the most interest from players. The top 10 are as follows:
Place 10: Gnome
Place 9: Genasi
Place 8: Half-Orc
Place 7: Halfling
Place 6: Dwarf
Place 5: Half-Elf
Place 4: Tiefling
Place 3: Dragonborn
Place 2: Elf
Place 1: Human
The fact that humans occupy the first place in the ranking has become somewhat of a joke for the Dungeons & Dragons community for quite some time. In a fantasy setting, they seem almost boring next to all the other races; however, due to their versatility, they are often used as a strong base for many classes. Moreover, there are many players who love humans precisely because of their average nature and potential for character development.
Even though humans rank first in the global D&D community, we recognized through a survey that our readers at MeinMMO see it a bit differently. Over 2,000 people told us which race from Dungeons & Dragons they like best, and we want to share the results with you in this list!

Where can I find Ditto in the event? Ditto can be found, as always, in the form of other monsters into which the little monster has transformed. The rotation of the monsters into which Ditto can transform will change with the start of the event. Which Pokémon those are has not yet been revealed.
However, it is known that you can find Ditto in 2 costumed forms that have not yet been in the game. These are Ditto with a hat and Ditto with a cap. Both costumed variants can also appear as shiny and with a special background.
What bonuses are there in the event? If you encounter Sudowoodo and Zorua in the wild during the event, you can look forward to an increased chance of receiving the two monsters as shiny.
Additionally, you will receive double the amount of experience points when spinning PokéStops during the celebration. For the first spin of a stop of the day, you will even receive 10 times the amount of experience points.
Which monsters are there in the wild? The following monsters are waiting in the wild to be found by you:
Bulbasaur*
Charmander*
Squirtle*
Pikachu*
Sudowoodo*
Zorua*
Here, Sudowoodo and Zorua, with their increased shiny chance, are likely to be the most interesting for many trainers who focus on collecting monsters.
Which monsters are there in raids? In 3-star raids, you can also challenge, defeat, and add the following Pokémon to your collection:
Lapras*
Snorlax*
Dragonite*
All monsters marked with a * can also appear as shiny.
What other content is there? There is also a limited research task where you can receive stardust, stickers, and encounters with event monsters as part of the event.
If you visit PokéStops, you can also receive event field researches that reward you with items, stardust, or more event monsters.
Collectors challenges will also be active, where you can receive further event monsters as rewards. This includes costumed Pokémon.
In the in-game shop, you can also pick up a free Ditto mask for your avatar at the start of the event. Also, there are event stickers that you can obtain from PokéStops and gyms, through gifts, and in limited research.
Not only the celebrations for Pokopia are active in Pokémon GO this month. In the coming weeks, you can find various contents like events, raids, and Dyna-bosses again. When exactly which content is active in the game can be found in our overview with all events in March 2026 in Pokémon GO.

Those who scour the waters in the Immersang Forest can find a secret in World of Warcraft. An drowned prince awaits.
While most players are still frolicking in the areas of Midnight and completing quests, some are already exploring the regions that are usually off the beaten path – such as the waters. Those who pay close attention can find a few hidden details, like the statue of a prince that the Blood Elves are not very fond of.
Start video
WoW Cinematic with Liadrin: Everything Holy
Kael’thas lies abandoned in the sea
Where can one find the statue? If you want to find the statue of Prince Kael’thas yourself, travel to the city of Silvermoon and head north to the harbor. At coordinates 36 / 28, you need to dive and can discover the sunken statue of the former Silvermoon ruler at the bottom of the sea. He is actually surrounded by his deep green spheres – the hallmark of the Blood Mages, even back in Warcraft III.
The statue appears to have been there for quite some time, as it has already been occupied by several starfish:
In the harbor of Silvermoon lies Kael’thas – or what is left of his statue.
The statue is a small but nice detail that Blizzard has built in here.
Why is the statue in the water? Kael’thas was the last monarchical ruler of the Blood Elves and was very popular for a long time. After all, he provided his people with new magic after the Scourge’s attack and both offered the Blood Knights a Naaru and quelled the elves’ addiction to magic with fel magic.
However, he likely does not enjoy a good reputation among most Sin’dorei today. After leading parts of his people into the shattered world, he later succumbed to the temptations of the Burning Legion and joined them.
He then led his freshly transformed fel blood elves and demons to Quel’thalas to claim the Sunwell – thus repeating the traumatic experience that the elves had gone through just a few years earlier with the undead Scourge.
The Sunwell was at risk of not only being completely destroyed and ruining any chance of purification, but also of sacrificing the world of the Burning Legion – after all, Kil’jaeden almost came through the portal that was opened in the Sunwell.
Correspondingly, Prince Kael’thas likely remains poorly remembered among most Blood Elves, who simply threw statues of him into the sea – to literally drown this part of the past.
The story of World of Warcraft is quite complex. No wonder, as the Warcraft universe has now been around for over 30 years. If you want to learn more about the story of Kael’thas and some other important Blood Elves: The 5 most important Sin’dorei from the history of World of Warcraft.

There is new gameplay from Crimson Desert on the PS5, but these are 15 short videos. MeinMMO explains what information you get when you piece together the puzzle from the videos.
What was shown? In the official PlayStation Blog from March 5, 2026, more information about the PS5 version was released. Phil Hornshaw, who wrote the post, emphasizes that he was able to play for about 4 hours. This comes shortly after the marketing chief stated that they do not want to hide the PS5 version.
The problem is: You see a total of 15 short videos, but it is not really clear whether this is actually gameplay from the PS5. Overall, you get about 3 minutes of fragmented gameplay.
We slightly adjusted our article structurally on March 9, 2026.

Crimson Desert shows more of the fights and progression in the action RPG in the new gameplay video
About 3 minutes of gameplay, but few details on performance
What exactly do you see?
In the short video snippets, you see the protagonist Kliff riding across the map, beating up enemies, or solving technical puzzles.
In one snippet, Kliff saves a person who is about to fall off a cliff.
In another scene, the protagonist fights a boss enemy, and in another scene, he rides over a bridge.
What stands out is: In several scenes, you can observe the high draw distance. You can also see the dense vegetation moving in the wind. However, in some scenes, you can also see that particularly small detail shadows only load when you get closer, such as at fences or lanterns.
The problem is that you don’t see clearly whether it is the PS5: The controller glyphs officially indicate the PS5/PlayStation, but they also appear when connecting a DualSense to a PC.
What is not shown? Reliable information on performance. The problem is that it really consists only of fragments. You do not get a reliable picture of the performance, and the performance is not commented on in any way by the tester. What is also missing is a clear indication that the gameplay was really recorded on a PS5 console. Because in such cases, there is often a note like “Captured on PS5 Pro” in the video.
Anyone who wants to play Dungeons & Dragons actually needs only three things: dice, players, and rulebooks. In prison, you have almost unlimited access to at least two of these necessities. Only dice are difficult to come by, as an ex-inmate explains, giving insight into how popular the tabletop RPG actually is in jail.
For many, it might still be surprising that D&D is apparently often played in prisons, at least in the USA. A user explains this on Reddit, and the comments also indicate the popularity of the system.
Only one thing is a problem for the user: dice, as they are forbidden in prison. They could be used for gambling. His solution: Just make them yourself. However, creativity is required …

This is how the user made the dice: Usually, dice are made of plastic, formerly also bone, today increasingly metal or wood. Having a knife for carving in the cell is rather difficult, depending on the prison and the reason for the conviction.
The user cottoneyedtoe explains how he simply made his dice in jail – with toothpaste, his ID, and a very hated table:
Take extremely bad toothpaste. Spread it on the table you hate the most in your life, because this stuff will do unimaginable things to it. Spread [the paste] with your ID or a credit card you also hate, as thin as possible. Let it dry for 1-2 hours; you want to scrape it off like ice cream from those frozen surfaces you see.
Roll it into a ball, tear off pieces, and pretend it’s clay. In prison, I put them under the door where there is a draft to let them dry overnight. The next day, I did my best to shape them.
Then leave them for three weeks, take a pencil and draw dots or numbers. We made a D12 two weeks before I was released. It rolled terribly, but it was wonderful.
The dark action-adventure WARLOCK in the trailer – set in a world inspired by Dungeons & Dragons
Does it really work? Compared to real dice, those made of toothpaste were of course terrible. However, at least the dice were edible, even though he doesn’t necessarily recommend trying that.
Additionally, cottoneyedtoe couldn’t make a D20, the most important die for D&D, as it didn’t work. Here he and his group had to compensate with a modified D8 in combination with a modified D6.
After all, D&D is a social game where you have to collaborate. Especially for rehabilitation, users can easily imagine the game:
D&D is a great game for inmates. It can help with mental issues that people face when they are locked up for too long. It’s frustrating that you can’t buy dice or use cards, because the guards freak out from what I’ve heard.
Even several other users report similar experiences from their time in prison with D&D and other ways to roll – such as drawing from card decks. A user, who claims to have been a prison guard in Canada, insists that the game is banned there because it supposedly promotes violence and gang formation. He would have liked to have introduced the concept of TTRPGs to the inmates.
The creator explains meanwhile that certain tensions within the group could easily be resolved outside of the game, such as a situation where one player made advances toward another player’s female character.
Since he and his fellow players were all together, his group had a big advantage over many others: they could play for 3 hours every day. The basic rules for D&D 3.5 and all the additional rulebooks were simply on the app that was preinstalled on the prison tablets.
The post on Reddit received over 10,000 upvotes and hundreds of comments within a few hours. In particular, the fact that D&D is even played in prisons surprises users – but somehow it makes sense.

With Midnight, World of Warcraft has received a new expansion and all classes have undergone a major overhaul. MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus took a look at a new class for the addon and utilized a tool from Blizzard – with a surprising yet frustrating result.
I was a Mythic Raider for a long time and I’m still in a guild that clears the mythic content each season. However, in the last raid of The War Within, the Manaforged Omega, I mostly sat it out – my class, the Outlaw Rogue, was simply useless there.
Frustrated that even good performance couldn’t compensate for the poor balancing, I put the whole game on ice for a while, until the pre-patch of Midnight, where all classes were revamped and many skills were removed.
To find my way back into the game more easily, I thought to use the functions that Blizzard provides by default. And, oh boy … They did a really good job. Maybe too good.
the “1-button rotation”, where you only need to press one button, which always selects the currently best skill – with a longer cooldown
and the rotation assistant (or Highlight Suggestion or Assisted Highlight) which visually highlights a recommended skill on the bar.
After the long break, my guild offered me a few runs to at least get mounts and such and to not be a complete burden, I thought: before I completely fail and have to learn my class anew, I’ll just use the rotation aid, similar to the addon Hekili back in the day.
Honestly, I had low expectations, as I always considered myself a good player. When I suddenly saw myself on the DPS meter again, I started to doubt my abilities …
You can find the feature among the gameplay improvements. The assistant highlights the skill you should use next.
I’m dealing much more damage now, and I only press glowing buttons
The rotation helper works about like the Paladin back in Cataclysm: just press the skill that is glowing, and it will somehow work. Ideal for someone who doesn’t want to learn a new class, but just wants to join in.
What surprised me then is that I actually dealt damage. Not just a little, but significantly more than expected. Outlaw Rogues had been one of the worst DPS classes throughout the last raid and up to the end of TWW.
Now I suddenly found myself above some of my teammates who had much better gear. Don’t get me wrong: this isn’t just about the tool. The class balance shifted significantly with the pre-patch, Outlaws were still weak, but relatively no longer complete losers. You can find a comparison in the latest DPS standings.
What surprised me more is that I could achieve so much with so little effort. According to Wowhead, the assistant leads to about 4% less damage than playing myself – a deal I gladly took, which also raised a bitter question:
Am I really such a bad player?
I used to think that I actually mastered my classes quite well. After all, I raid mythic content, although I haven’t been at the top in quite some time. The rotation assistant made me doubt that.
The assistant accompanied me through the pre-patch and a large part of the leveling phase. By the way, it wasn’t boring because leveling has never been much of a challenge.
Still, the fear settled in me that I might really have gotten worse. At least until I was more often in dungeons. Because there I noticed where the weaknesses of the assistant lie.
The rotation assistant does not take away my thinking, but merely the mechanical component of my class, which means: the part that I would eventually do automatically through muscle memory.
What sets a good player apart from others is the ability to react quickly and correctly to situations, and that is crystallizing more and more through tools like this. But exactly here, the assistant presents a dangerous trap:
the glowing buttons tempt one to only look at the skill bar and find the next ability
meanwhile, ground effects one is standing in or boss skills one is getting hit by are often overlooked
For use in more difficult dungeons or raids, the assistant is probably still useful but definitely requires a customized UI. And what I also noticed: The tool makes it more difficult to truly “learn” a class.
Instead of making me aware of which skills I use and above all, why, I just mindlessly press buttons. It took a while until I ignored the recommendations, especially while leveling.
Because the “ideal DPS rotation” is completely unnecessary if two skills are enough to defeat the opponents. But if those skills only come “ideally” late, I might need double the time to complete the fight.
With the upcoming expansion Lord of Hatred, Diablo 4 will receive a new area, a second new class, and numerous changes, including to the endgame. Blizzard recently released new images and information showing that Diablo 4 will become more challenging and colorful. Fans are reminded of its predecessor.
However, the video and some screenshots show significantly brighter colors than what players have been used to in Diablo 4. The game is meant to be dark and grim to stay true to its roots.
The Diablo expert wudijo also received info in an interview that Diablo 4 will have new torment levels with Lord of Hatred – up to torment 12 (YouTube). Currently, torment 4 is the maximum.
What does this have to do with Diablo 3? One of the major criticisms of Diablo 3 was that the game appears way too colorful for such a dark world. Particularly the – actually rather cynically designed – world of Whimsyshire with unicorns and rainbows was responsible for this.
In contrast, Diablo 4 was planned as a step back into a dark world. However, users on Reddit now point out that at least the new map Skovos, its enemies, and the skills of the Warlock appear significantly more colorful, no longer “washed out” and grey.
The torment levels are also starting to resemble the system of Diablo 3. There, the highest difficulty is torment 16, which was introduced years after release. Similarly, the development is now proceeding with Diablo 4:
The game originally started only with torment as the highest difficulty.
Currently, torment 4 is the maximum that you can play.
With Lord of Hatred, the challenge will be raised to up to torment 12.
Hundreds of users now see a step back to Diablo 3, but not necessarily a bad one. Together with the current development of Diablo 2, this could be a win for everyone.

Blizzard presents the new Warlock in Diablo 4 in the gameplay trailer
“This is the right move”
The debate about how good Diablo 2 and 3 were, as well as whether Diablo 4 is going the right way, has been ongoing longer than the current latest installment of the series. The community is divided, and every opinion is represented somewhere – especially since there are still millions of players playing Diablo 3.
Accordingly, the changes shown in Diablo 4 have sparked many discussions. Some support the step, while others are strictly against it. However, in a thread, user carmen_ohio mentions an important point regarding the approach of Diablo 4 to its direct predecessor:
They are continuing to develop Diablo 2: Resurrected, so this is the right move. Turn Diablo 4 into a renewed version of Diablo 3 to make D3 fans happy, and make Diablo 2 fans happy by continuing to develop the game. Win-win for everyone.
Just a few weeks earlier, Blizzard had surprised with the shadow drop of the Warlock for Diablo 2 – yes, the class has appeared in both games and is also coming to Diablo Immortal.
Merchant prices for many items in World of Warcraft are a joke. At least that is what the community believes and analyzes the problem.
Housing in World of Warcraft is one of the big new features of Midnight. Many spend countless hours in their houses, decorating and crafting until their in-game home perfectly matches their wishes. However, those who want new rewards from Midnight will likely face a problem quickly. Because housing items are so absurdly expensive that one has to farm for weeks or months – and the system suffers significantly as a result.

What is the problem? Housing can be very time-consuming content, involving many days of work to get one’s house perfectly set up – at least if one can afford enough decorations for the house. But especially the new items from Midnight are quite expensive and require the resource ‘Void Marl’, which is available in small amounts from various endgame content. Usually, activities yield between 30 and 150 Void Marl.

Housing items often cost 3,000 or more Void Marl, meaning one farms for many hours just for a single item. This is critically discussed in the WoW subreddit by “JollySieg”, who writes in his post Housing decoration prices are absurd and it kills my interest in housing:
This is the classic time-wasting tactic from Blizzard at its worst. Whoever set these prices fundamentally misunderstands the system and why people play housing. It cripples the system in a pathetic attempt to increase player activity. The question is how the hell someone is supposed to maintain interest in housing when the barrier for a cool project is so unbelievably gigantic that it becomes a second job.
The problem is quite drastic. Because if someone wants to have just one of each housing item, they usually obtain them through quests – but anyone who needs more of the same type will spend many months farming intensively for them.
(…) this means that the creation of new houses is delayed, because cool ideas could literally take years to realize because this grind is so terrible.
Every price needs to lose a zero for it to make sense
How can this be fixed? The community has several ideas on how to solve the problem. The simplest would of course be a drastic reduction in prices for farmable housing items. Some people comment under the post that void marl should occur much more frequently in the game:
“Dude, the Void Marl prices are completely insane. Yeah, I know, we have the whole expansion to farm and it’s only the first week, but unless you have an army of alt characters to repeat all the world quests, it’s nearly impossible to farm. Even a damned tabard costs 3,000. Void Marl should drop like bronze in Remix. It should drop from EVERYTHING. Mobs, bosses, gathering professions. Everything.” – paperdodge
How drastically the decoration costs need to be reduced is painfully obvious to many. Because a halving or quartering won’t help. If Blizzard really wants players to use the new items, they would have to reduce the costs by a factor of ten:
“I can’t say this enough: The last zero on all decoration prices has to go and then it would be acceptable. Whoever devised these prices must be out of their mind.” – unicornmeat85
“I believe they just completely confused the people who want to play housing with the people who are willing to endure absurd grinds.” – One-Jury-6140
Another suggestion is that only the first purchase of a decoration should be that expensive. Further copies should then be drastically cheaper or even purchasable for gold, as gold can be farmed much more easily.
Cortyn says: I really understand the discontent in the community regarding the prices. If you’re someone who enjoys housing and especially wants to spend a lot of time decorating and setting up the house, then the prices are completely overpriced. Even though I have played a lot since day one of the expansion, I barely reach 12,000 Void Marl across the entire account – that’s enough for 3 to 4 housing items, at best.
It seems impossible when one needs items multiple times. For instance, someone who wants to build a troll house and needs several benches or tables from the Amani will end up farming them for months. This will likely quickly kill interest in housing for such players.
However, I am optimistic that Blizzard will rectify this in the not-so-distant future if feedback persists. Because in the last few days, the developers have responded to a lot of criticism and fixed smaller issues in the game. Now, as everyone is slowly reaching level 90 and housing fans realize how absurdly high the prices are, it’s only a matter of time before the developers are caught up by that feedback. Hopefully.
Even the shop prices for housing – meaning the real-money items – have been heavily criticized in the last few days, as Blizzard has introduced new bundles. The decorations included in them were so expensive that the developers adjusted them after just a few hours, but the negative sentiment persists.

There is hardly anything more embarrassing than praise that is not praise at all – because the words were misunderstood. A mage had to learn this in World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft is a game where sooner or later you come into contact with other players. Either in dungeons, raids, or just in the open world. Most people want to make a good impression and certainly not be seen as a “noob”. It is all the more beautiful when you are even praised by the group for your performance. At least until you understand the truth behind the words.

WoW Midnight: Arator’s Light and the Firebrand
What happened? In the WoW subreddit, a WoW newcomer shares his story. As a warlock, he entered a dungeon and was happy about what he heard:
The tank in my first dungeon said “lock rocks” and pinged me. I was really happy about that because I thought he was telling me that I was doing my job well. So that I was kind of rocking WoW. That was really nice because I was worried about my performance.
Most can already guess – but with “lock rocks” it didn’t mean that the “warlock rocks” – but rather something completely different:
No! Apparently, “lock rocks” means that he wanted me to place a soul well so that everyone could take a health stone. I embarrassed myself quite a bit, especially since I only understood this at the end of the dungeon. At least the morale boost helped me finish the dungeon with confidence. Whoops.
These “warlock stones” are therefore likely a similar term in English as our “lutschkiesel” – simply a term used for the health stones in the game that the whole group can benefit from.
Community finds it cute: The embarrassing confession is well received in the community on the WoW subreddit. There were more than 2,000 upvotes for this and many nice or amused comments imagining the situation wonderfully:
“That is so cute! I can understand why this game is so confusing for newcomers, lol” – Other-Line5979
“I have been playing warlocks for a long time, and this post makes me very happy. Keep rocking, new warlock!” – Mordecham
“Don’t worry. When I started playing (late 2006), ‘twinking’ was a big thing – so stop leveling (around level 19) so you can get into certain battlefields. In my first few days, I saw in the trade chat: ‘Looking for bear and twink for a BG’. As a young gay man, I wasn’t quite sure what kind of game I had actually started.” – MotorGlittering5448
Such stories are nice and above all a lovely reminder. This is certainly more pleasant than the experience that some newcomers are currently having in the dungeons of the new expansion Midnight. Some can’t wait enough and are already getting upset about too slow speeds.

Blizzard has introduced the latest class for Diablo 4 with the Warlock. Just after the presentation, MeinMMO spoke with the German Diablo expert Rob2628, who is absolutely thrilled about the abilities of the spellcaster. Especially one skill brings shining eyes to the streamer: transforming into a corporeal demon.
With the Warlock, Blizzard has created an absolute novelty in the history of Diablo. The new class is featured in three games: Diablo 2: Resurrected, Diablo Immortal, and Diablo 4.
On March 5, the developers finally showcased the Warlock in Diablo 4. The new class can summon demons and fights with the powers of Hell… against the powers of Hell.
The streamer is known for his deep expertise in the mechanics of Diablo 4, his impressive builds for all classes, and his skill in the highest difficulty levels of the game. In his videos, he explains builds and tricks, now even with a German YouTube channel.
Rob was able to play the Warlock directly at Blizzard in California and reveals a little more about the abilities and his impression in the interview – and it sounds extremely positive, the excitement is clearly heard in the conversation.

Blizzard presents the new Warlock in Diablo 4 in the gameplay trailer
“Challenging, complex, but not in a bad way”
The expert’s first impression: the Warlock is “more challenging, complex” than other classes in the game, “but not in a bad way.” Especially in contrast to the Paladin, who can dominate the endgame even with just one button or without pressing any buttons at all, the Warlock is much more multifaceted.
On the one hand, there are different playstyles, with which either demon hordes are summoned or the Warlock empowers himself to become a true monster. On the other hand, there is the interplay of the revised skill trees with the Warlock’s abilities:
[The Warlock] goes a bit deeper with its mechanics and combination possibilities. You have a control build with powerful hordes of Hell, or a big demon fighting by your side. It sounds like the Necromancer now, but the Warlock has many more options to command its minions. […]
The genius part is also when it comes to aspects and such: you now have the new skill tree, which also comes for the other classes and is significantly more complex. You have many more options for shaping your skills. […] Aspects that were previously on legendary items are now in the ability tree. […] Each skill has, I believe, 7 different upgrades. Options that you can then combine in various ways.
Rob2628
Rob explains: concretely, this means that you can change the “tags” of certain skills, as is already the case with the Paladin. Thus, a Hellfire skill can become a shadow skill through an upgrade, opening up completely new build variants.
Additionally, the Warlock needs to manage two resources: a primary resource and one used to bind demons. You can think of it a bit like the demon hunter in Diablo 3.
Rob’s current favorite skill of the Warlock, the Metamorphosis:
“Works very well, even for beginners”
Despite the many possibilities that the Warlock offers, the class is not supposed to be “too difficult.” Rob summarizes the class with Blizzard’s classic: “easy to learn, hard to master.”
For those who do not want to deal with all the skills and their synergies, they can simply play a minion build, where the minions do everything, just like the Necromancer. Regarding casual-friendliness, the expert says:
I’m still a bit torn on this. I’m not sure how serious it is. I’m not really into the hardcore casual base myself. In principle, the class is already more challenging. But you have this quasi-automated build, where you let your pets do your stuff. The playstyle is relatively simple. […]
I believe the class is very well suited for beginners as well. Then you just play your minion build first, command your hordes, and do your thing. A lot of people actually find that playstyle great. […] You have an easy entry with the Summoner build and then later much more complex combination possibilities in the endgame.
Rob2628
Despite the many combination possibilities, the different playstyles will be somewhat dictated by the chosen ultimate, of which the Warlock – like all others – has four.
In one of his first German videos, Rob explains the skills of the Warlock in detail:

An ultimate makes the Warlock “an ultra-god, a bit”
The big highlight for the streamer is the Metamorphosis, an ultimate that allows the Warlock to become a demon himself, a kind of “mini-Diablo,” as he puts it, to an ultra-god, a bit. In this form, the character has completely new attacks like a fire beam, a teleport, and claw attacks.
As a big proponent of the Barbarian, Rob compares the skill to the “Wrath of the Berserker” of the martial brawler, but even more intense. The other ultimates provide a completely different playstyle:
a giant demon that basically “sits on your shoulders” and swings through the crowd with its massive sword.
the Apocalypse, which you may already know from Diablo 2: a pentagram that you summon and that deals high damage in a large area. The peculiarity here, according to Rob: the cooldown cannot be reduced, as the skill would otherwise be too strong
and finally a sort of “hellish swarm of locusts” that swirls around the Warlock and devours enemies.
When asked if the Warlock has what it takes to become the new favorite class, Rob clearly states: “Barb for life,” but the Warlock will definitely be played a lot at release – if only because it looks so strong.
However, he excludes the possibility that the new class will come with absurd numbers like the Spiritborn back then. For that circumstance, bugs were responsible back then. The Warlock will be strong, yes, initially definitely stronger than all other classes, but not completely OP like the Spiritborn was at release.
