With WoW Classic many things are coming back to the game. We will tell you what we are particularly looking forward to!
At BlizzCon 2017, Blizzard finally fulfilled a long-cherished wish for fans of World of Warcraft. After years in which only private servers of the “Vanilla” version of the MMORPG were available, finally “Classic” servers for World of Warcraft were announced.
Although there is no fixed date for the launch of these servers yet, part of the community is excited and lost in nostalgic memories. We have listed some points that we are really looking forward to with “Classic”!
Duskwood – The best quest area of all
Anyone who played a character for the Alliance back in the “good old days” (preferably a human) was sent to the most atmospheric quest area that World of Warcraft has ever had around level 20. Duskwood (or translated the “Twilight Forest”) had a gloomy atmosphere that no other zone in current or past World of Warcraft has ever been able to achieve.
In contrast to the friendly forest of Elwynn, the Redridge Mountains, and even the not-so-bright Westfall, Duskwood was very dark. The sky could only be seen clearly in a few places through the treetops, and creepy eyes peered from the bushes at every corner.
The overall atmosphere was also reflected in the quests. There was the almost legendary questline about the undertaker’s wife. A hermit tries to resurrect his wife and inadvertently creates a monstrosity that subsequently terrorizes the whole forest as “Stitches”. This was a major elite opponent who not only looked incredibly disgusting (as an Alliance player, one had not seen this form of undead before), but was also strong. The worst part was probably that as a player you were “used” to create this creature.
Furthermore: Who doesn’t miss smashing innocent zombies at level 23 in the cemetery of Raven Hill, only to hear the growl of a skeleton and get killed by the creepy skeleton knight Mor’Ladim with just one hit? He was indeed many levels above the other enemies in the area and thus a real threat. Also, he patrolled the whole graveyard. A quick “mana break” quickly turned into a visit to the spirit healer.
The event Fanfare Call in Destiny 2 was supposed to significantly increase experience gains. However, players are reporting incorrect displayed EXP and cooldowns. Was the event broken?
Bungie wants to keep players engaged in Destiny 2 with regular events, ensuring they stay interested or at least return to the game more frequently. In recent days, an event in Destiny 2 that doubled experience gains was running, as long as you were playing with at least one clanmate.
This is useful in two ways:
You can bring another Guardian to the maximum level of 20 faster with a clanmate, or
You can more easily obtain Bright Engrams, which contain various cosmetic items.
Bungie plans to hold the event in the future, but under different conditions. Next time, clan membership will no longer be necessary.
Guardians are now reporting consistently that the amount of experience points gained does not match the display in the game. Is the entire event ineffective?
Displayed experience gains do not match external sources like the Destiny Item Manager or Destinytracker (it’s significantly lower than what the game suggests)
There seems to be a cooldown on EXP gains. Those farming public events or other activities for an extended period receive progressively fewer experience points, though this is not visualized in the game
The second aspect also applies to chests and planetary resources. If you collect too many in a short time, you eventually run out. It seems Bungie has applied this system to EXP as well.
A player has published a screenshot on Reddit showing the effect of 15,000 EXP on the progress bar. Buffs like the Fireteam Medallion, “Well Rested,” and the Fanfare Call were active:
As you can see, there’s almost no gain on the progress bar. Although 15,000 EXP is displayed, the bar hardly fills up.
Comparisons with EA’s Star Wars Battlefront 2 Lootbox Disaster are becoming louder
Why are experience gains displayed incorrectly in the game? Why are the bonuses of the Fanfare Call event seemingly marginal? Some Guardians suspect malice on the part of Bungie / Activision.
They accuse the responsible parties of wanting to force players to invest real money in Bright Engrams due to the low experience gains. Therefore, the Fanfare Call event was completely pointless if the XP gains have cooldowns.
Comparisons with the loot box disaster surrounding EA and Star Wars Battlefront 2 are becoming louder. The Bright Engram system is seen as a similar money grab.
EA made the principle of “loot boxes” a core element in Star Wars Battlefront 2 and after loud protests at least temporarily rolled back – disabling in-game purchases via real money.
Currently causing trouble – Loot boxes
Even though Bright Engrams primarily contain cosmetic items, players feel cheated. It’s not so much about the aspect that experience gains are subjected to an invisible cooldown, but that the game presents alternative facts that do not hold up to reality.
Even though this issue has been known for a few weeks now, Bungie has yet to comment on this problem, which further frustrates the player base. It remains to be seen whether the increasing discussions will change Bungie’s communication policy.
Have you noticed any irregularities in experience gains in the past few days as well?

The loot box criticism surrounding the online shooter Star Wars Battlefront 2 has sparked another discussion: Do video games cost too little money?
KeyBanc Capital Markets analyst Evan Wingren analyzes the controversy over loot boxes in Star Wars Battlefront 2. According to him, the negative reactions to the loot boxes and EA’s concession have resulted in a “somewhat higher chance that” Battlefront 2 will remain below the expected 13 million sales.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 was an ideal breeding ground for overreaction
In a statement, Wingren writes: The case here was an ideal breeding ground for overreaction because EA, Star Wars, Reddit, and certain “purist gaming journalists who dislike microtransactions” came together.
While Wingren believes that Electronic Arts did not handle the launch of Star Wars Battlefront 2 particularly elegantly, he cannot understand all the hate directed at loot boxes and microtransactions. According to him, games today do not cost too much, but conversely, too little money. Publishers should raise prices. He says this as someone who is a gamer himself.
Video games are a cheap form of entertainment
Wingren supports this thesis with some numbers. He describes the scenario as follows:
The acquisition costs of the online shooter Battlefront 2 amount to around 60 dollars
A player spends an additional 20 dollars per month on in-game purchases in Wingren’s example
Playing 2.5 hours per day for a whole year
This results in a entertainment value of 40 cents per hour for Star Wars Battlefront 2
In comparison:
it costs 60 to 65 cents an hour to watch pay TV
Renting a movie brings an entertainment value of 80 cents per hour
Seeing a movie in the cinema costs more than 3 dollars per hour
Better to skip the movie and play Battlefront 2!
According to Evan Wingren, this shows that playing video games is a cheap form of entertainment. He believes that game developers and publishers provide a low-cost form of entertainment and should generally raise prices.
The perspective of the press and the media shows a false perspective here. If someone enjoys playing and likes Star Wars, they would be much better off skipping the new Star Wars movie and instead buying the game. There would be more entertainment per dollar.
The English-speaking site PC Gamer notes: Looking back 30 years, one can see that the prices for a video game have changed little over this time. Back then, the game King’s Quest 4 from Sierra cost 45 dollars. Today, Star Wars Battlefront 2 costs 60 dollars. In comparison: 30 years ago, a movie ticket cost about 4 dollars. Today it costs almost 9.
What do you think? Do video games generally cost too little? Should base prices be raised or are microtransactions okay?

Hearthstone is changing its game rules. Rogues will also get secrets. We will show you these and more cards here.
In a few weeks, Hearthstone will launch the next expansion. Kobolds and Catacombs brings numerous new cards, the first of which were revealed at BlizzCon 2017. Now Blizzard has started publishing more cards while announcing a small gameplay sensation: Rogues are getting secrets! Until now, these cards were exclusive to Paladins, Mages, and Hunters.
We will show you which highlights have already been revealed.
9 new Hearthstone cards from Kobolds and Catacombs
As a neutral minion, there is the Feral Gibberer, a 1/1 minion for 1 mana. The twist is that you get a copy of this minion in your hand every time it attacks an opposing hero. Together with the right buff cards, that should create great combinations, especially benefiting Paladins and Druids.
Rogues get secrets. One of them is Sudden Betrayal for 2 mana. When an opposing minion attacks the hero, it instead attacks a neighboring minion. Thus, in the best case, two enemy minions eliminate each other.
A second secret card for the Rogue is Cheat Death – also for 2 mana. When an allied minion dies, it instead returns to the Rogue’s hand and its mana cost is reduced by 2.
For Priests, there is an addition for Dragon decks. The Duskbreaker is a dragon for 4 mana, with stats of 3/3. Its Battlecry deals 3 damage to all other minions if the Priest holds another dragon in hand.
The legendary weapon for Shamans has also been revealed and will delight all RNG fans. The Runespear costs 8 mana and has stats of 3/3, but a special effect. After the hero attacks with this weapon, the Shaman discovers a spell. This is then cast on random targets.
Druids get a card with 3 options. Branching Paths costs 4 mana and allows the Druid to choose between:
“Draw a card”
“Give your minions +1 Attack”
“Gain 6 Armor”
The Druid may choose twice, allowing for effects to be activated twice. This gives the card particularly much flexibility and can be used in almost any situation.
For Paladins, there is the spell Level Up!, which for 5 mana grants all Silver Hand recruits +2/+2 and Taunt. A clear addition to the Paladin’s “Token” deck.
Hunters can look forward to a new Legendary. The minion Kathrena Winterwisp comes with weak stats of 6/6 for 8 mana but compensates with a Battlecry and a Deathrattle. Both effects say: Recruit a beast. (Recruiting summons a minion from the deck and places it immediately onto the battlefield.)
Warriors get a spell that evolves continuously when you hold the card in your hand and play weapons in the meantime. The spell starts as Lesser Mithril Spellstone for 7 mana and summons a 5/5 minion. After playing a weapon, the card becomes Mithril Spellstone and summons two 5/5 minions for 7 mana. After one more weapon, the Warrior finally receives the Greater Mithril Spellstone, which brings three 5/5 minions onto the battlefield for 7 mana. This sounds like a must-have card!
How do you like the new cards so far? Too powerful? Too weak? Or just right to make the game interesting?
The tank MMO Armored Warfare has launched on Steam and is also getting new content. Is this a chance for the troubled game to make a comeback?
Armored Warfare from My.com is a tank action game in the style of World of Tanks. However, unlike Wargaming’s flagship game, you play here with tanks from the post-World War II era. The selection of vehicles ranges from the 50s to modern ones like the M1A2, Challenger II, or Leopard II.
Unfortunately, My.com’s tank fun has not been very successful so far, and the player numbers are currently low.
Steam release should attract new players
Armored Warfare is now available on Steam. However, you will need to create a new account. You cannot transfer your old progress. But for many Armored Warfare players, that’s not so bad, as it allows them to start fresh and capture that initial excitement.
Moreover, this could bring a wave of new players to the game. Recently, it looked rather bleak when trying to find a match in PvP. There were simply too few players online. Many players have said that Armored Warfare is practically dead. With the Steam launch, some are hoping for a second chance for the tank MMO.
However, so far not many players are active on Steam, and the reviews have been rather “Mixed”.
Update “Art of War” brings China content
Along with the Steam launch comes the update “Art of War” featuring “China”. This includes a bunch of Chinese vehicles and maps from the Middle Kingdom.

A new patch (1.18) of Overwatch has landed on the PTR. We’re here to reveal what’s new besides the fantastic “Blizzard World” map.
Although Moira and the associated patch 1.17 have only been live on Overwatch’s servers for a few days, Blizzard is already rolling out the next patch for testing. All PC players of Overwatch can now download the PTR client with the preliminary version of Patch 1.18.
The highlight of the patch is the new map Blizzard World. In the future of Overwatch, the gaming studio still exists and has even built its own amusement park. Here, fans of all ages from various franchises can meet their idols and favorite rivals, order fast food at “Snaxxramas”, or experience a griffon flight to Duskwood on a roller coaster.
In terms of gameplay, Blizzard World is a hybrid map, meaning it’s a mix of capturing a control point and then escorting a payload.
Only bug fixes beside Blizzard World
Otherwise, patch 1.18 currently only contains a lot of bug fixes and minor user interface improvements.
Especially some graphical issues with the newest hero Moira have been improved. Previously, there were occasional glitches where her eyebrows would wander off her body in highlight intros.
More annoyingly, there was a bug with her Biotic Orb – it occasionally displayed with the wrong graphics, creating the optical effect as if Moira was using her healing spray.
There are currently no balance changes in this update. However, it is quite possible that the patch may evolve before its release in a few weeks.
We have achieved the first goal (Tier 1) of the catch challenge. Now we need to push even harder to earn hefty Pokémon GO rewards.
In Pokémon GO, a global catch challenge is currently taking place. Trainers are trying to catch as many Pokémon in the wild as possible to unlock specific goals in the bronze, silver, and gold categories.
The bronze category rewards trainers worldwide with double experience points and lure modules that now last six hours instead of 30 minutes. Additionally, there are more Pokémon spawns in the wild.
The prerequisite was that the Pokémon GO community catches 500 million Pokémon. On the morning of November 21 at around 8:15 AM, it was done. On Twitter, the Pokémon GO team states: “That was fast, trainers! You caught over 500 million Pokémon and unlocked the rewards of the global catch challenge.

The bronze goal was achieved later than we suspected. For trainers to reach 3 billion Pokémon catches before the end of the event to unlock the gold rewards, they need to hurry.
Hopefully, the double experience points and additional bronze rewards will motivate more trainers to go outside and help with the challenge. After all, a Farfetch’d is waiting as a big gold goal.

Even the silver reward would already be worthwhile. Achieving the silver category will give us double experience points, higher spawns, and extended lure modules, as well as double the amount of stardust for in-game actions. And you can never have enough stardust, right?
How does the global catch event work? When are the rewards and how long do they last? You can find all the information in our Catch Competition Guide for Pokémon GO

In Star Wars Battlefront 2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One), the strong always get stronger. A strange concept, according to our author Schuhmann. It reminds him of physical education back in the day.
In physical education during my school days, soccer was occasionally played indoors. The problem was: Some kids were in a club and already quite good. Others couldn’t do anything with the ball at all. Also: girls and boys played sports together at my school. Always tricky.
In short: There were problems. Some were much stronger, faster, and better with the ball than others.
Back then, the gym teacher established the rule: Whoever scores a goal has to go out. The good players thus had a handicap. They then tried to avoid scoring themselves, passing the ball and attempting to assist others.
If physical education had followed the rules of Star Wars Battlefront 2, the top soccer players would have become a bit faster and stronger with every goal. After 5 goals, they would have mutated into Cristiano Ronaldo, dizzying girls with special moves and then smashing the net with a powerful shot from 20 meters.
A good example of how one can imagine it is shown here:

For the guy in the blue jersey, it’s sure a big deal – but probably not for the kids.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 makes the strong even stronger
In Battlefront 2, strong players accumulate “combat points”. For a kill, for an assist, for “playing well”, they earn points that they can exchange for upgrades.
For 2000 points, you can switch to a special class, and for 6000 or 8000 points, you can unlock a hero. That hero is really powerful; one could also say overpowered.
Against a Yoda or Darth Vader, as a “normal player”, one is scared. He can slash through infantry, just like Cristiano Ronaldo goes through a leaky defense.
I played the multiplayer mode of Star Wars Battlefront 2 for several hours over the weekend. For me, as a shooter novice, the most I can do at the end of a match is to roam around as a Wookiee for 3000 points. But even that feels much stronger and sturdier than the infantry, which gets wiped out almost casually.
Moreover: Top players not only get stronger during the match, but they also quickly earn credits and thereby loot boxes, which further strengthen their accounts and provide them with additional bonuses.
Anyone who wants to see what it looks like when a top player reaches “Cristiano Ronaldo” status in Battlefront 2 can enjoy this video of a fully equipped Darth Vader:

Don’t strong players need a handicap rather than more power?
This power economy has strange effects on Star Wars Battlefront 2:
Players who are really good will tend to love Battlefront 2, because the game rewards them and elevates them over others, over the infantry. The game spoils them, giving them an immensely good feeling. If you read somewhere: “Battlefront 2 has become a really good game”, that statement likely comes from a really good shooter player.
As a beginner, on the one hand, there is the lure of getting better and rising to the “Jedi ranks”, but you will have to suffer quite a bit to do so. Those at the bottom of the food chain do not have as much fun as those at the top. This applies to every shooter, but especially to Battlefront II.
Like in soccer back then, the skill in Battlefront heavily depends on experience. Many who quickly rise to Jedi in a match have years of shooter experience in titles like CoD or Battlefield. The skill difference in a normal 40-player match is enormous, as you can always see in the leaderboards and MVP awards.
Counterexample: Morphies Law – the better you are, the easier you are to hit…
Wouldn’t it be more interesting for a game like Battlefront to impose a handicap on good players?
In the shooter Morphies Law, game models become larger the more damage they deal. This makes it easier for others to hit the “top players”. Meanwhile, weak players shrink during a match, making them harder to hit and allowing them to hide in places inaccessible to the giants.

The mobile MMO Lineage 2 Revolution (iOS and Android) has a prominent mascot in America. None other than comedian, TV host, and “Clueless Gamer” Conan O’Brien stars in hilariously funny spots promoting L2R. They reach an audience of millions.
The Korean mobile game Lineage 2 Revolution has already taken Asia by storm. But to succeed in the USA, a strong advertising presence is needed. Therefore, developer Netmarble has recruited the famous comedian and TV show host Conan O’Brien as a mascot.
O’Brien is known to gamers worldwide, as he plays various games completely clueless but confidently in his show “Clueless Gamer”. He says everything that comes to his mind about the game. It’s not always flattering.
“You don’t need a flat screen anymore, you can play Lineage 2 Revolution!”
This role as a clueless but bold gamer is exaggerated by O’Brien in the two commercials for Lineage 2 Revolution. In the first spot, you see two guys just playing a game. Suddenly, the expensive flat screen bursts, and O’Brien sails through the hole in the screen into the living room.
https://youtu.be/80zpMNrEi20
The two guys are not thrilled about the destroyed TV. But according to Conan, they don’t need a flat screen anymore since they can now play Lineage 2 Revolution on their phones. “The game looks cool, but why don’t you come through the door?”
“Lineage 2 Revolution is better than beating people up!”
In another commercial, O’Brien reveals a dark secret. As a celebrity, he is stressed and has aggression within him. He releases it by beating up cosplayers at conventions! Which he promptly does, beating up visitors at the “FestCon” left and right.
https://youtu.be/McLVHwg2HqM
However, he says it’s exhausting and also illegal! So he has a new method to relieve his aggression and relax: Lineage 2 Revolution! But if he gets beaten in the game, he still receives a beating in real life.
The commercials have already over 10 million views!
Both commercials are well-received, and even people who don’t like Lineage 2 Revolution laugh at the funny spots. Therefore, the two videos have collected over 10 million views on YouTube so far.
Surely, this is also because these spots are being advertised with considerable capital. It has long been known that Netmarble is not afraid to open their war chest, which is well-filled in Asia, to make headway in the West.
The goal is clear: Netmarble aims to make Lineage 2 Revolution the number 1 online role-playing game on mobile devices – in the West as well as in the East.
The goal of attracting as much attention as possible for L2R has definitely been achieved by O’Brien.
In Monster Hunter World (PC, PS4, Xbox) there are no traditional supporters like tanks or healers. All hunters are DD (Damage Dealers) and must deal high damage to defeat the monsters – everyone in the group! If you still want a supportive role, you must choose weapons that provide protection and healing.
Monster Hunter World is an action RPG that has strong MMO elements. You fight in groups of up to 4 monster hunters against powerful creatures reminiscent of epic boss fights. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that you need to fulfill different roles to bring down such a formidable monster.
In an MMORPG, you need tanks that soak up damage and protect the team, or healers who keep their group alive. However, that will not be the case in Monster Hunter World. You must deal as much damage as possible with the entire group to kill or capture the monsters – everyone is a damage dealer.
Nevertheless, there will be opportunities to support the team with additional healing or AOE effects. The secret lies in weapon choice. User Ebbanon created a useful list on Reddit that highlights which weapons are suitable for support. These will be presented here.
Classic roles do not exist in Monster Hunter World – Use weapons for support
In Monster Hunter World, there are two important rules to remember while hunting:
Don’t get hit: Especially in the late game, there are some opponents that can kill you with a single hit. Often, it is better to avoid the monster first rather than attacking blindly. You will share a total of 3 deaths with the team – from the 4th death onward, the quest is considered failed.
Deal significant damage: There are no supporting roles or classes in Monster Hunter World. The greatest support you provide for your team is by dealing significant damage. You have your armor for defense and your weapons for offense. If you deal little damage, you are nearly useless for the group.
The fights in Monster Hunter World are supposed to be difficult and demand your full concentration. You will not have a healer who can fix a misstep, nor anyone who throws a big shield in front of you and absorbs a lot of damage.
Hunting Horn: Grants the group status buffs through the right songs
There are 3 supportive weapons, with which you can compensate for the missing roles of tank or support.
The Hunting Horn could be referred to as THE support weapon and belongs to the hammers.
Here’s what the Hunting Horn can do:
Every attack with the Hunting Horn produces a musical tone, depending on the type of attack.
From the notes, songs can be created that provide buffs to your entire group. The correct combination of the different tones is required!
The songs provide different buffs, such as healing, element resistance, or negating certain negative effects.
Different Hunting Horns can also produce different tones, leading to new songs.
The Hunting Horn is a hammer. This means it can inflict KO hits and exhaustion, which debuffs the monster.
It is therefore important to attack the monster with the Hunting Horn and deal damage as well, and not just passively play the songs. The main goal should always be to deal as much damage as possible!

Light Bowgun: Distributes severe debuffs & negative status effects
The Light Bowgun is suitable for ranged combat and inflicts negative status effects on the opponent – perfect for crowd control.
Here’s what the Light Bowgun can do:
The Light Bowgun can negatively affect the opponent with different ammunition types. It can cause poison, paralysis, or sleep.
Poison deals constant damage. If the poison is used more often, the damage scales up and can reach respectable numbers.
Paralysis keeps the opponent still for a few seconds. This allows the group to safely land some heavy hits or be saved at the last moment from the claws of the beasts.
Sleep knocks the opponent out completely. Damage to sleeping opponents is also multiplied.
It is important to switch between the different status effects
The Light Bowgun is designed for rapid fire and high mobility, enabling large-scale effects to be caused.

The sword and shield are the beginner weapons of the Monster Hunter franchise. Certain swords can become really powerful and even inflict elemental damage. Those who are skilled can fulfill a supportive role with these weapons.
Here’s what the sword and shield can do:
Those equipped with a shield and sword can use items without sheathing their weapons
This allows players to set traps or use healing items that apply to the entire team.
By keeping their weapons out, these hunters do not waste valuable time

Just a reminder: The goal in Monster Hunter World should always be to deal as much damage as possible. The supporting effects of the individual weapons are just bonuses. Those who can find the right balance between support and damage distribution will be invaluable to their group. However, this is purely a matter of practice and experience.
What do you think about the lack of traditional role distribution in Monster Hunter World?
A new trailer for Destiny 2 has been released for Forsaken of Osiris. In it, we get a new look at the Infinite Forest and Osiris weapons in Vex style.
Tomorrow, on November 21st at 8 PM, Bungie will hold the second livestream for the expansion “Forsaken of Osiris”. This stream will focus on the new activities. We will also learn how, where, and why we need to fight against the new enemies, the Vex.
There will likely be detailed information about the Infinite Forest – a location within Mercury where the Vex simulate different realities.
To prepare for the stream – and to announce it once again – a teaser trailer has now been published. We are presented with almost 45 seconds of new footage for Forsaken of Osiris:

The trailer greets you with the words that there are “infinite realities” to discover. This is directly a reference to the Infinite Forest.
Particularly exciting in this regard is the moment in the trailer at 0:10, where multiple scenarios are shown in quick succession. Here are two of them: Both locations are in the exact same spot, but the play areas are different. In other words, the Infinite Forest will be an arena that is represented in many, “infinite,” different forms and arrangements. This is supposed to increase replayability.
Next, we get a glimpse of some Osiris weapons. These use Vex technology. The weapons have cables attached through which Vex milk / Vex technology presumably flows. At 0:14 you can see a hand cannon, followed by a pulse rifle, and at 0:24 a rapid-fire weapon, probably a submachine gun. The weapon at 0:28 could be a pistol.
We will accompany the stream tomorrow in a live ticker. An article about it will be published in advance.
Until then, you can read here about endgame content from Forsaken of Osiris:
The battle royale shooter from developer Daybreak Games receives new content with a lot of action through an update. Deathmatches and challenges are intended to bring fresh wind to the early access title.
Combat Zone
The new “Combat Zone” map brings a new deathmatch mode. Here you can test your skills and quickly respawn after being killed by another player. A great way to warm up for the battle royale session and hone your aiming.
The mode brings a new map (2x2km) with new locations like a shooting range.
No parachutes here. Players start with full gear and can start shooting right away.
The immediate respawn brings back the familiar “deathmatch feeling”.

New daily challenges give you the opportunity to complete challenges every day. These come in the difficulty levels “Easy”, “Medium”, and “Hard”.
For completing the challenges, players are rewarded with skulls. With these, you can buy skins in H1Z1.
The daily challenges are not limited to individual matches. You can complete them piece by piece if you finish multiple games in a day.
H1Z1 weapon balance has changed
The update also includes changes to popular weapons in the battle royale game. The AK-47 and the shotgun have been modified based on player feedback. The shotgun is now stronger in close-range fights. The rate of fire for the AK-47 has been reduced.
In Lineage 2 Revolution (iOS and Android), leveling starts to slow down around level 30. How you can still progress well is explained in our leveling guide for Lineage 2 Revolution. This way you can quickly reach the max level and the current level cap.
When you start Lineage 2 Revolution for the first time, everything moves at lightning speed. Every now and then, you get a level-up and there are tons of new things to see. However, starting around level 30, it noticeably slows down. Level-ups become rarer, and the path to the current level cap at the max level of 120 becomes significantly harder. If you don’t level optimally, you may have to wait a long time before you see any progress.
To help you progress quickly, we have compiled a leveling guide for you.
How to level quickly to max level in Lineage 2 Revolution
To grind as many experience points as possible from level 30 onwards with minimal effort every day until the level cap, proceed as follows and in this order:
Drink the potion “Einhasad’s Blessing”. This gives you 100 to 200 percent more experience for one hour.
Go to the “Extraction Dungeon” and collect your 20 herbs. The potion already provides decent experience points here.
Next, activate 3 daily quests. Complete all that are quick to do. Quests where you have to improve items or complete arena battles are quickly done. Immediately activate new daily quests as soon as they are available. If there are only useless quests, you can refresh the list for free up to three times.
Meanwhile, complete your 10 daily weekly quests. With a bit of luck, you only need to defeat creatures and not field bosses. The bosses take some time to spawn, which costs you valuable time from your XP potion.
As soon as your Einhasad potion is used up, go to an elite dungeon of your choice. Here you have 30 minutes of “Hot Time” every day, where you get 8 times the amount of XP and 4 times the drop chance for items. However, Hot Time replaces your time from the Einhasad potion, so it’s pointless to go into the dungeon with the active potion if you still have Hot Time.
Always take the dungeon with the strongest creatures you can still handle. The optimal monster levels are 2 to 4 below yours. This way you can defeat them quickly and still get a lot of XP. Complete the dungeon quest and the remaining daily quests. Especially the “Kill X creatures” tasks are easy to solve here.
If you have scrolls for sub-quests, use 5 of them and complete them. Use A-level rolls or better ones if you have them.
If you already have access to the ERF dungeon (from chapter 5.1), do it two more times.
Complete any remaining daily quests, and you’re done with your daily level grind!
If you want to grind even more, select a monster on the map in the menu that is about 2 to 4 levels below you and go hunting again.
Even more experience points per day with groups and tough monsters – How to reach the level cap faster
If you’re not done leveling yet, you can take on stronger monsters as well. These creatures should be higher level than you, ideally 4 or more. To defeat these monsters quickly, it’s best to use a well-balanced group to venture out with you.
To take down the monsters quickly, you can use soul shots. But keep in mind that the shots can get expensive quickly.
In Destiny 2, this Guardian shows how to enter a public event in style.
Bungie’s community manager Cozmo, who regularly features the videos of the week for Destiny, has taken a temporary break. The reason: He got a “little light,” a daughter, whom he wants to take care of for the time being.
In the meantime, dmg04 will help out as community manager, presenting the videos every week and distributing this beautiful emblem to the winners:
This week’s MOTW title was awarded to a sniper montage by Dexxter 044, in which you can see some nice kills with sniper rifles:

On YouTube, the video is being torn apart in the comments. It has almost twice as many negative ratings as positive. One reason: People accuse Bungie of choosing this video as the winner to show that snipers are perfectly fine. Because in the PvP of Destiny 2, according to general opinion, sniper rifles are hardly usable anymore.
A mention was given to this video where painting is involved. Have fun with it:

You need more damage output in The Division? This is how you achieve higher damage values.
If enemies in PvE are taking too little damage or if you always come up short in PvP, you should try optimizing your build. You can definitely squeeze out a few extra percentages in damage output.
The Division expert MarcoStyle has now taken a closer look at the topic of “damage” and has discovered interesting insights on how to ramp it up. We summarize the important information:

The weapon talents Competent and Increased both provide an additional 10% damage under certain conditions. In an experiment, the agent with the active Competent talent dealt 178,000 damage, but with the active Increased talent, a whopping 185,000 damage. The build remained exactly the same, only the talent was rerolled.
What is the reason for this difference? Both talents should actually provide the exact same bonus damage, right?
The answer is: The bonus from Competent is calculated additively and the bonus from Increased multiplicatively.
In short, these terms can be distinguished as follows:
Additive: The bonus only applies to the base damage.
Multiplicative: The bonus applies to the total damage including all previous buffs. Example: The total damage is calculated at x1.10 (that’s +10%).
Here is a detailed example:
Player 1 and Player 2 have exactly the same build, but Player 1 uses a weapon with Competent and Player 2 uses a weapon with Responsive. Since Responsive is calculated multiplicatively and Competent additively, you deal more damage with Responsive, even though the game tells you: Both increase damage by 10% each.
You can watch the detailed calculations in the video embedded above.
In summary: You always gain advantages when you rely on bonuses that are calculated multiplicatively! If you want to significantly increase damage, focus on multiplicative advantages!
Which bonuses are multiplicative?
In The Division, it is not specified anywhere whether something is calculated additively or multiplicatively. It is also unclear why Massive made this distinction at all. If you want to know which bonuses are the “good” multiplicative ones, you have to test each individual talent and ability and gain insights through self-experimentation.
And that’s exactly what MarcoStyle did. The result:
Almost all bonuses are additive. This includes everything from the booster to the doping injection to almost all gear set bonuses, the Merciless talent, or the Competent talent.
So it makes more sense to only list the bonuses that are multiplicative.
Here are multiplicative bonuses:
All bonuses on headshot damage
All bonuses on crit damage
Responsive – weapon talent – Damage increases when within 10 meters of the target
Prepared – weapon talent – Damage increases when over 30 meters from the target
Increased – weapon talent – Damage increases when you are more than 1.2 meters above the opponent
Distracted (weapon talent from MDR) – Damage increases when the opponent suffers from status effects
Wargaming has launched the popular naval battle online game World of Warships on Steam – and introduces new achievements on a new account.
World of Warships can now be downloaded and played for free via Steam.
However, if you want to use Steam and you have played the action game before, you must create a new account. There is no option to transfer your old account – instead, there are new achievements for you to unlock. You choose one of the servers America, Europe, CIS, or Asia and then start to compete with other captains.
World of Tanks on the Sea
World of Warships lets you experience naval warfare online with over 200 ships. The gameplay is similar to World of Tanks. You are the commander and manage your fleet. At the beginning, you start with only a few ships, which you can either continually upgrade and improve their armor or deploy a new crew, or you can acquire better and more powerful ships through achievements in the game. This includes powerful destroyers.
Tactics and Team Play
In the naval battles, you must act tactically as a team. You need to try to eliminate opponents and achieve your objectives while always considering the conditions of the respective map. The ships maneuver differently based on their size and class, which you need to take into account during your maneuvers. Therefore, you should use the capabilities of the vehicles wisely. A cumbersome aircraft carrier, for instance, should be kept in the background, from where it can launch its air squadrons to attack enemies from the air.
World of Warships is available as a free-to-play game and offers an optional in-game shop where you can buy new ships and other items.
After all, you can have a nice, long evening with the campaign of Star Wars Battlefront 2. Guddy fought through – and shares her impressions here completely spoiler-free. Whether “Star Wars” feeling came up, you can read here!
PS4 or PC, that was my question
I usually play shooters on PC – actually. However, my PC has shown spontaneous signs of aging over the last few weeks and is now only wheezing along. So I picked up a controller for the first time ever for a shooter.
The bad news: I am a terribly bad PS4 shooter player.
The good news: Battlefront 2 guides me well in my efforts. And: Due to my incompetence with the controller, the campaign lengthened. Only 4 hours? Ha! It took me 7. Deaths, curious looking around, and passionate cursing included.
The crux: The pale characters
At the beginning of the campaign, you do not play as the commander of the “Inferno Squads” Iden Versio, but rather her flying mini-droid with the absolutely creative name “Droid.” With this, I crashed elegantly against the wall while flying a few times before I could dedicate myself to the actual task, namely the rescue of Iden.
Despite my backstory, Battlefront 2 controls intuitively and pleasantly. Furthermore, I quickly became friends with Droid. Unfortunately, he is almost the only character in the campaign that I sympathize with. This is incredibly unfortunate. I had hoped for more beforehand.
The story could have been more complex
This lack of identification is primarily due to the plot, which I find rather sparse. I don’t want to give away too much, but I imagined the immersion into the Empire, into the dark side of the Force, to be more immersive and interesting. However, this aspect is barely developed, and you learn less than you might have wished for.
At the same time, everything goes incredibly fast. Too much – not necessarily creative – plot is crammed into too few sequences, making some character changes barely understandable. Probably the game would have benefited from spending a little more time with a maximum of two characters, rather than splitting the gameplay over multiple characters.
There is also not much new to discover content-wise. There are no surprising twists, and as a bridge between Episode 6 and Episode 7, too much is missing for it to be really relevant. Meeting familiar characters at least provides some comfort about this circumstance.

But is everything bad?
So superficially the story is told, it is beautifully presented. The maps are fantastic! Although you unfortunately can’t really look around in detail, as you quickly have to return to the core of the plot and must dance through the missions in a linear manner. Nevertheless, you still have time to look around and take in the environment. No matter where I was: I always felt right in the middle of the Star Wars universe.
Music, graphics, overall composition. All of this combines into a very successful whole, in which one can move intuitively. If the story itself were a little thicker, it would have been an absolutely successful campaign.
Guddy’s conclusion:
The biggest plus point is the visuals and the gameplay, which create a wonderful unity. I had a lot of fun running, fighting, and flying through the missions. The story isn’t bad. It’s entertaining; no more, but also not less.
Anyone primarily interested in the campaign rather than the multiplayer will likely be disappointed here. However, I find the campaign of Star Wars Battlefront essential as an introduction to multiplayer. It is a nice addition to the multiplayer, and the promised additional missions with the upcoming DLCs make you curious for more.
Overall, the campaign is definitely fun. However, much more could have been done.
Is this the best Titan build in Destiny 2? With this, you can approach offensively and aggressively in PvE.
Titans are unshakeable Guardians and steadfast defenders of Light, who can act as both offensive assaulters and defensive shield bearers due to their various subclasses.
If you like to get up close and personal with enemies and enjoy diving into battle with a knife between your teeth without taking too much risk, you should try the following Titan build.
JumpinProduction presents it in the video. He claims it is the “Most Overpowered Titan Build”, granting you powerful grenades and melee attacks. The build particularly shines in PvE when dealing with many enemies. It can also be used in PvP:

For this offensive build, which is supposed to be a lot of fun in PvE while being effective, you’ll need the Striker Titan. This is the Arc subclass.
Take the top of the two ability trees called “Code of the Earthshaker“. This brings three important advantages for the build:
Seismic Strike: After a short sprint, you can unleash a shoulder charge that triggers an Arc explosion upon impact.
Aftershock: Inflicting damage to enemies with Seismic Strike charges your grenade.
Increase: Grants an additional grenade charge, allowing you to charge two grenades with the shoulder charge. Additionally, it extends the duration of your grenades.
For the grenade, you cannot go wrong with the Impulse Grenade. This is one of the best grenades in the game, which when well-placed can destroy not just adds, but also tough bosses.
For the jump and the barrier, you have free choice, but the gunfight barrier is recommended.
The most important item in this build is the One-Eyed Mask. This is an exotic Titan helmet that you can obtain randomly from all sources that can drop exotic engrams. Xur can also bring the helmet.
The special perk of the One-Eyed Mask in Destiny 2 is:
Transfusion Matrix: Kills with Arc melee abilities trigger health regeneration and restore melee energy.
For the armor piece mods, you can choose:
Helmet: Arc melee attacks regenerate faster.
Gauntlets: Arc melee attacks regenerate faster.
Chest Armor: Grenades charge faster when using an Arc subclass.
Leg Armor: Grenades charge faster when using an Arc subclass.
The choice of weapons here is not too important. Since you are usually close to enemies, it is worth bringing weapons that are strong at short range, such as hand cannons or submachine guns. Otherwise, established automatic rifles like the Origin Story are strong.
An interesting option is the exotic submachine gun “Risky Business”. This grants you several bonuses when you take Arc damage. It doesn’t matter whether enemies deal Arc damage to you or if you inflict Arc damage on yourself. If you take a little damage from your Impulse Grenade, which can occasionally happen unintentionally, you benefit with Risky Business.
How to play this build?
The shoulder charge and the One-Eyed Mask create a strong combination. With a shoulder charge, you can instantly defeat adds, where the exotic helmet immediately charges the next shoulder charge. Normally, this has a rather long cooldown. One kill is enough to reset the cooldown of your melee attack.
This means you can now sprint across the battlefield and unleash one shoulder charge after another on your enemies. While this requires an offensive playstyle, you also receive health regeneration after each kill thanks to the One-Eyed Mask that keeps you on your feet.
That’s not all: The shoulder charge creates an Arc explosion that damages nearby enemies. For example, you can completely eliminate a pack of Cabal dogs with just one punch.
By having the benefit of “Aftershock“, grenades are charged through kills with the shoulder charge. That way, you can regenerate both Impulse Grenades with a well-timed shoulder charge. Throw these at enemies with high health and happily continue to cut through enemy masses.
Conclusion: This build is definitely among the best Guardian setups in Destiny 2.
How do you play your Titans?
Note: This offensive playstyle is not suitable or possible in all situations. Therefore, the mods on the armor pieces are chosen so that you can still frequently use grenades and melee attacks.
