In Elite Dangerous, the war with the alien Thargoids has broken out. However, not all players want to fight; some prefer to communicate.
Currently, it is not possible to make contact with the Thargoids in Elite Dangerous. According to the background story, humans started firing despite the initial willingness for peace on the players’ side at the beginning of the conflict. The thought of peaceful coexistence still exists, which is why not all Commanders are participating in the war.
Communication with the aliens would be possible
The player Benjamin “Heisenberg6626” Bahr would like to communicate with the aliens. Since this is not possible in the game, he has invented his own method. The Thargoid ships emit sounds.
Heisenberg6626 analyzed these and managed to translate images into this language. Thus, communication would be fundamentally possible. However, there is no way to send these sounds back to the Thargoids. Therefore, he only “plays” this. The roleplay aspect is also well received in Elite Dangerous.
Perhaps conversations will happen someday
Heisenberg6626 created a video of his communication with the aliens, showing how a dialogue could proceed if it were possible in the game. Who knows, perhaps the developers will notice this interesting communication method and incorporate something like this into the game.
Then it would be possible to talk to the Thargoids and perhaps end the war someday. Because according to Heisenberg6626, it is never too late for negotiations, as conflicts on Earth – including the Cuban Missile Crisis – have shown.
In Star Wars Battlefront 2, you can try out different classes. But who should you play? Assault, Heavy, Officer, or Specialist? With our class guide, you will definitely find the best class for you!
In the battles of Star Wars Battlefront 2, you can take on four basic roles – whether on the side of the Empire or the Rebels. In addition to the heroes from the movies, you have access to four playable classes that cater to different playstyles:
Assault
Heavy
Officer
Specialist
These four classes are available to you in Star Wars Battlefront without investing combat points.
We will show you the pros and cons of each class and with which abilities you can head into battle!
The Assault Class in Star Wars Battlefront 2 – the Allrounder
The Assault Class is excellent when the enemy needs to be hit quickly and hard. This class is an allrounder, making it perfect for learning the mechanics of the game. However, even in skilled hands, the class is absolutely deadly and offers some of the highest damage potential.
Additionally, the Assault Class has a very useful support ability – the Scan Arrow. Fired from a distance, you can immediately see the position of the enemy infantry, providing excellent flanking opportunities.
With your powerful assault rifle, the Assault Class can take on nearly any enemy.
The Starting Abilities of the Assault Class
Thermal Detonator – The standard grenade that can deal massive damage when thrown perfectly. The Thermal Detonator can be upgraded to deal more damage. Using star cards, the ability can be transformed into Ion Grenades, which deal damage to machines and vehicles. However, you can also exchange it for Acid Grenades, which deal damage over time to hit targets.
Frontline Fighter – This ability allows you to use a shotgun, which is absolutely deadly at close range. By upgrading with star cards, attributes like accuracy or cooldown can be improved. Upgrades also increase the duration of use when you score kills.
Scan Arrow – If you want to quickly gain an overview of enemy positions, the Scan Arrow is a good choice. Upgrades increase its duration, but it can also be completely replaced using star cards – for a faster health regeneration or a pistol that blinds enemies.
The Heavy Class in Star Wars Battlefront 2 – the Tank of Battlefront
If you prefer to play a class that comes closest to the designation of Tank, you can do so with the Heavy Class. Only tanks and other vehicles can take more damage. While you fire with a heavy machine gun, you have access to defensive abilities and skills to support your teammates in battle.
With the abilities Combat Shield and Sentry, you can even take out larger groups of enemies. However, their strengths also come with problems, as the mobility of the Heavy Class is not very good. In close combat, where you need to move quickly between the map points, this class is not the best choice.
Contact Grenade – The Contact Grenade explodes instantly when it hits an enemy or an object. The grenade provides optimal opportunities to deal a lot of damage to groups of enemies quickly. However, you need to aim carefully due to the immediate explosion. The blast radius can be increased, but you can also modify the grenade so that it sticks to machines and deals massive damage.
Sentry – When the Sentry is active, you and your allies suffer reduced explosive damage. The turret can be further modified – whether improved movement, health regeneration, or explosive rounds.
Combat Shield – The ability for frontline fighters! In narrow alleys or paths, you can go ahead and protect your allies with this shield. If the shield is not to your liking, you can exchange it for a grenade launcher or an ion turret that fires explosive rounds.
The Officer Class in Star Wars Battlefront 2 – the Supporter
The Officer is THE support class in Star Wars Battlefront 2. With the skill Combat Command, depending on the star card used, you can generate some useful effects for your teammates. With the pistol, the officers are not completely defenseless, but they should still not be at the front line when the action starts.
After all, the Officer can cause quite a bit of confusion with their turret and hold strategic points.
The Starting Abilities of the Officer Class
Flash Grenade – Offers not the massive damage potential of other grenades, but can confuse enemy groups when well-placed and thus provide room to make your escape or bring out the heavy guns. You can improve the grenade’s blast radius or completely swap it out. Options include homing blasters or a special skill that negates all incoming blaster damage.
Combat Command – With the star card, you can do different things with this skill. Healing effects, cooldowns, or reduced blaster cooling times are just a few of the options. To master the Officer Class, you need to get the best out of this skill.
Blaster Turret – The turret can be incredibly helpful in combat – if the placement and timing are right! The turret automatically targets enemies and repairs itself if an allied officer is nearby. However, if used incorrectly at inconvenient moments, the turret is wasted. If you can’t handle that, you can swap it for a Squad Shield that prevents enemy energy damage or for a modification that overheats nearby enemy blasters.
The Specialist Class in Star Wars Battlefront 2 – the Sniper
If you enjoy sniper rifles and combat from a distance, you will not be able to avoid the Specialist. With the Specialists, you can take out enemies from far away. However, they are particularly vulnerable to enemy representatives of the Assault Class, as they can do very little at close range.
However, if you are attentive and can play the class flexibly, you will have fun with the Specialist.
The Starting Abilities of the Specialist Class
Shock Grenade – The Shock Grenade slows down enemy troops and allows the Specialist to escape or make the decisive kill with the sniper. However, the grenade can also be swapped out for a pistol that deals damage over time using star cards. If you don’t like that either, you can use a cannon that shocks and pushes back enemy forces.
Infiltration – Infiltration is a powerful ability that makes you invisible to the enemy’s radar. It also marks enemies and equips you with a powerful weapon designed for medium-range combat. Using star cards, you can increase your resistance or extend the duration of the ability.
Thermal Binoculars – The binoculars allow you to spot enemy heat signatures – even through walls. With the star cards, you can increase the range and effectiveness – or simply swap it for a shield or trip mines.
Which class are you playing in Star Wars Battlefront 2? Do you stick to one or switch to a suitable tool depending on the situation? Let us know in the comments!

They appear at every corner in Destiny 2 – triangles. Are they a symbol of evil?
Triangles can be found everywhere in the Destiny universe, which we can somehow associate with the Vex, the Hive, or a mysterious threat, the Darkness. What do they mean?
Mandatory spoiler warning: If you haven’t completed the main quest yet, read on at your own risk, as spoilers follow!
The Darkness as a contrast to the Traveler?
How can the Darkness, the mysterious enemy of the Traveler, best be described?Even Bungie does not have an answer to this question. But there is a theory that the Darkness represents the exact opposite of the Traveler:
The Traveler is a small point of light in the universe, the Darkness is all-encompassing emptiness
The Traveler exists in a physical form, the Darkness is immaterial
The Traveler creates and uplifts cultures from their stagnation, the Darkness consumes and equalizes
In short: The Darkness is supposed to be a contrast to the Traveler, to maintain cosmic balance.
However, with the completion of the main campaign, there are news. Because the Darkness does not seem to be immaterial, but consists of angular shapes, as suggested by the post-credits cutscene: The Darkness as triangles, which were activated with the awakening of the Traveler – presumably to restore balance in the universe.
We have seen the flying triangles before
Do the angular structures in the last game sequence actually represent the Darkness? This theory is plausible, as we have at least seen the two-dimensional shape of these ships before.
The triangular shadow over the Traveler
Your Ghost describes the first attack of the Darkness on humanity at the beginning of the game. This scene is accompanied by a passing, triangular shadow on the surface of the Traveler. There is no doubt that this triangle symbolizes the Darkness.
The ominous triangles can be found in many places in the game and can be attributed to several hostile races. Is there a connection between the races and the strange objects from the last story sequence?
Most prominently, the triangles are associated with the Vex. They can be found in many locations. The most famous triangular structure is undoubtedly located in the Glass Throne:
Many triangles in the raid Glass Throne
Triangles also appear more frequently in connection with the Vex. In Destiny 2, some can be found here on Nessus:
A triangular structure on Nessus
With the Curse of Osiris, the Vex make their big appearance in Destiny 2 – and bring along plenty of triangles:
With a bit of imagination, triangles can also be found with the Hive. Because the Hive creatures have three eyes that form the shape of a triangle, as can be seen well with Oryx:
The eyes of the Hive form a triangle
The Fallen as a contrast
One might put forward the theory that in Destiny 2 everything evil has to do with triangles. Evil as a triangle, good – in the form of the Traveler – as a sphere. This creates a nice symbolism.
However, this theory also has certain weaknesses. The symbolism of the Fallen is completely different. Not only do the characters exhibit rather round shapes, as seen here…
… round shapes dominate otherwise. Whether it’s landing ships, the Walkers, or the Servitors – round is hip among the Fallen.
The Cabals also have nothing to do with triangles.
However: As Bungie confirmed a few months ago, the Cabals have nothing to do with the Darkness at all.
The Vex and the Hive, on the other hand, do:
The Hive worship the Darkness and serve it directly. They hate the Light and do everything to consume it so that the Darkness can reclaim the universe.
The Vex are also said to serve the Darkness. A prime example is the Black Garden in the campaign of Destiny 1. Inside it is a Black Heart, which is a fragment of the Darkness. The Vex worship this fragment of the Darkness as a god. Additionally, Osiris speculated that some Vex technology only activates in the presence of the Darkness.
Thus, one might propose the theory that the triangle symbolism connects the Darkness with its “servants.” Everything related to the Darkness features triangle symbols.
Perhaps the Hive and the Vex belong more to the Darkness than the Cabals and the Fallen, who stand in a different relationship to it. There’s a lot of potential for future story developments!
However, it could also be that this theory, though intriguing, ultimately turns out to be untrue. We will see what the triangles in the last story cutscene mean.
What do you think of this triangle theory? A logical consequence of past events or just a figment of the imagination? Let us know in the comments!

Epic Games has taken player feedback to heart and is adjusting the PvE in Fortnite. Improvements are being made to clarity, randomness, and repetitive content.
Epic Games has presented their plans for the PvE mode “Save the World” in a lengthy blog post. This is based on player feedback.
Randomness in Rewards
Players should gain more control over their rewards:
New missions have been added: Storm rewards with upgrade materials and other activities through which specific loot can be obtained.
Event Shop (planned for December):Event currency like Halloween candy can soon be used to purchase event items.
Hero leveling (planned for December): A gray, common hero can gradually be leveled up to an orange, legendary status
Improving Clarity
The game interface and user experience should be made clearer:
Access inventory from anywhere (planned for December)
Item management (planned for December): Contextual menus will be introduced for collection, card level-ups, and upgrades.
Mission map (planned for January): Players will receive more details about how to complete a mission and what loot they can obtain.
Avoiding Repetitive Content
The content in PvE has repeated too quickly, leading to boredom:
(Mini-)Bosses will be introduced (planned for December): (Mini-)Bosses with special behavior patterns will be added. This should make battles more interesting and they are a preparation for real boss monsters that are yet to come.
Survival Mode V2 (planned for December): The survival mode will be adjusted. A new feature will be to skip days by voting.
Work is being done on the endgame: Those who have played more than 60 hours will receive more and more random missions. In the long term, the story campaign will continue to be expanded, along with events and new PvP elements.
Is this enough to make you want to save the world in Fortnite again, or is it doomed because you prefer flying the Battle Bus?
A few days ago, Overwatch chief Jeff Kaplan requested that the report system be used more extensively to improve it. Streamer xQc did just that – and was subsequently banned himself.
The Game Director of Overwatch, Jeff Kaplan, recently wrote a lengthy post in the Overwatch forums. In this, he calls on players to use and trust the report function of the game. Only then can it be improved further.
Trust in the system! Or not..?
In theory, this tool is a good thing: A player disrupts the game and violates the rules, so he gets kicked out. However, there have been some drawbacks that have become more apparent lately.
Since this post was published, there have been continuous new problems with the report system. For example, a rumor circulated that players who only play one hero were banned for that (so-called “One-Trick-Ponies”, or OTPs).
In a specific case, a player who only played Torbjörn was banned. The actual reason was that he refused to play other heroes – so strictly that he did nothing at all when he couldn’t choose the Swede.
The Overwatch streamer and Top 500 Winston player Félix “xQt” Lengyel seems to have taken a cue from this case. In his stream, he reported an OTP for precisely these reasons. However, he was probably a bit overzealous.
Even before the game started, he filled out several complaints against the player. He had played against him before and thus knew about his behavior. He used every possible category; even “Cheating”.

Blizzard didn’t seem to like that, nor were they interested in the reasons: In the middle of the match, xQt was kicked from the game with the message that his account was banned for 72 hours.
Update 19:11 13:15: It is now known that the streamer’s ban was indeed the result of the reports. However, it seems to have been because he used obscenities in his reports. He apologized for his outbursts in a tweet last night.

The streamer is not an isolated case. Top 500 Symmetra player “stevo” was banned because he allegedly never switched heroes, but played Symmetra. His community disputes this, yet the ban was still enforced.
Such bans are particularly problematic for people who make money with Overwatch. Streamers and professionals rely on their accounts. They play to win and to improve, which is why they often focus on one hero.

WoW Classic was great! Classic was hard! Classic was challenging! Oh, really? A well-known streamer remembers WoW quite differently…
Since the announcement that World of Warcraft will also have Classic servers in the future, numerous discussions on the topic have erupted. For a long time, there has been a large segment of players who praise “Classic” to the skies and have since been dissatisfied with every change in WoW.
But was everything really that great in Classic? Was Classic really harder and more challenging?
Anyone who has been a German WoW player in Azeroth for many years has surely come across the “Class Blogs” from the streamer Barlow. Back then, he mocked the classes from World of Warcraft. The blogs are firmly established for many German WoW players as part of the “good old WoW times.” One could say: They are legendary.
In line with the announcement of WoW: Classic, Barlow once again took the time to respond to many questions and reactions from his followers and viewers. The result is another humorous blog that, however, contains a lot of truth.

Cortyn says: In most points, I can only agree with “Uncle Barlow.” World of Warcraft back then was neither harder nor more challenging. The only thing that was needed back then was more time. Loot was rarer, leveling took longer, and due to the lack of certain comfort features, such as setting raid markers, the “surroundings” were more complicated.
Bosses rarely had more than one or two abilities and as a damage dealer, the only danger in the game was often aggro. This meant that one rarely got to deal “full damage” because doing so usually resulted in death. A strange mechanic that particularly punished high-performing players.
Only the necessary time investment was higher back then. If one could only play for one or two hours a day, they wouldn’t really make progress. However, that had little to do with difficulty or challenge.
But feel free to see it differently! Do you still see Classic in a shining light? Or is it precisely the necessary time factor that makes the game interesting for you?
In Destiny 1, players could spend hours upon hours in heroic strikes. Now Bungie announces: The heroic strikes are returning in Destiny 2 with the Curse of Osiris. Will they breathe new life into the game?
Many Guardian veterans will fondly remember the many hours they spent, sometimes in one go, in the heroic strike playlist of Destiny 1. It was not uncommon to have random players in the fireteam who also stayed longer.
The strike modifiers and the strike-specific loot provided long-term motivation. In particular, the burns, meaning increased damage from certain elements, made for great gameplay fun and variety. Nothing was more satisfying than taking down the boss in a few seconds. Players felt powerful – the mechanics invited speedruns.
Will Bungie succeed in bringing this fascination back to Destiny 2?
The playlist for the heroic strikes in Destiny 2
Is the strike-specific loot returning?
Unfortunately, we don’t know much yet about the heroic strikes – except that they will be returning. They are for fireteams of up to 3 players, have normal matchmaking, a recommended power level of 270, and grant rare and legendary gear as rewards. Additionally, there is a milestone for “Weekly Heroic Strikes.”
Whether Bungie will implement strike-specific loot at the same time is currently unknown. Guardians have been complaining since the release of Destiny 2 that it is missing.
Because: Such a mechanic would significantly increase the replay value of the playlist. At least for a certain time. The lack of random rolls on weapons and armor would sooner or later also be noticeable here.
The object of desire in Destiny 1: The Imago Loop
Ideally, each strike will offer several specific items, allowing the Heroic Strike playlist to keep players engaged for a longer period.
Are the strike modifiers returning?
Even though players in Destiny 1 had to endure some annoying strike modifiers (Trickle – abilities recharge slower), there were also some that were incredibly fun. In addition to Elemental Burn, increased melee damage and more air damage were among the most popular gameplay styles.
Bungie has extensively overhauled the strike modifiers in Destiny 2. The simple increase of a certain damage type no longer exists at least for the Nightfall strikes. Instead, a variant called Prism has been introduced that increases elemental damage but does so in a rotating manner. Each element is active for only a few seconds.
Whether modifiers like Burn will return with the start of the heroic strikes remains to be seen. The modifiers in the heroic strikes may be based on those currently applicable to Nightfall strikes. However, more and more varied modifiers would definitely be welcome in the Heroic Strike playlist.
Also, the modifications that affect the mission timer could play a role in heroic strikes. These are viewed ambivalently by Guardians. For some, they mean unnecessary stress and a tedious search for the objects that extend the mission timer – for others, a welcome challenge.
It probably won’t be the same as in Destiny 1
Days of farming heroic strikes will probably no longer be a thing in Destiny 2. Strike-specific loot would definitely be a win – however, the absence of weapon rolls will continue to harm long-term motivation.
Iconic weapons like Malok’s grip or the Imago Loop came with hundreds of different variations and provided fodder for hours of grinding.
The heroic strikes will not determine the fate of Destiny 2; other changes to endgame mechanics are necessary. They could, however, provide a new, fun element. Will Bungie be able to restore the old “feeling”? The future will tell!
What do you think about the announcement to bring back the heroic strikes? Do you wish for similar mechanics as in Destiny 1?

The anime “Recovery of an MMO Junkie” has captivated us. Those who are into MMORPGs will find themselves in this anime.
Actually, we rarely write about anime on mein-mmo.de. There must be a good reason for that, such as when anime tackles themes that are also interesting for gaming – like recently with Sword Art Online.
But in the current autumn season, an anime has emerged that many long-time MMO fans will quickly take to heart. We are talking about Netojuu no Susume or “Recovery of an MMO Junkie”.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VsBaWcI6ho
The story of Recovery of an MMO Junkie
The story is about 30-year-old Moriko, who has just quit her job and is settling for a life of unemployment for the time being. Since social interactions are already difficult for her, she fills her free time with her favorite hobby: MMORPGs.
Moriko creates a young male avatar named Hayashi and soon finds herself relying on the help of other players, such as the cute healer Lily. Together, the two embark on several adventures, and a close online friendship develops – despite the anonymity of the characters.
Since Moriko does not want to admit that she is currently unemployed, she constructs a lie and claims to be a student in her early twenties. This way, she can play with her guild for a while “undetected” without having to justify her constant online presence.
But then an incident occurs: While shopping, Moriko encounters the player behind Lily, who soon realizes that Hayashi and Moriko are the same person. Especially when Moriko increasingly seeks online tips for “real life,” the facade begins to crumble. But how does one get close to someone they have only known online without coming across as “creepy”? How far should online friendships go?
An anime everyone can relate to
Recovery of an MMO Junkie stands out primarily due to its mature, well-thought-out, and relatable characters. Rarely have adult gamers been portrayed so aptly that they can identify well with them even in the West.
Additionally, the anime is filled with jokes and references that MMO players will immediately understand. For example, the protagonist converts all her purchases into loot boxes (“For this dress, I could have had 18 loot boxes!”) and often finds herself at the computer at 5:00 AM, even though she initially wanted to go to bed at midnight.
Yes, at its core, Netojuu no Susume is a love story with a good dose of comedy. Due to the great characters, who come across as much more “believable” than many other anime characters, any MMO fan can likely relate to the protagonists.
Cortyn says: Although Netojuu no Susume is not yet complete, it already counts as one of my anime of the year. For the first time, adult gamers are portrayed reasonably and relatable, making identification easy. Moriko’s and “Lily’s” problems, worries, and little quirks are familiar to many, and the thought processes of the characters are wonderfully depicted.
The anime wonderfully shows how easy and at the same time difficult any kind of interpersonal relationship can be online.
Netojuu no Susume has been licensed in Germany by Crunchyroll (Link to Crunchyroll) and is already available with subtitles – at least for the 7 episodes released so far.
Sometimes there is justice. For a “Bad Mannered” play in Hearthstone, there is an appropriate punishment.
Hearthstone is not exactly known for all matches being particularly fair. At its core, Hearthstone is, like all card games, dependent on a large portion of luck. However, through the player’s skill, this can be minimized, and those who best “master” the RNG will emerge victorious from many matches.
Yet even if you are the better player, some matches simply refuse to be won. How frustrating it is when your opponent revels in their victory, spams emotes, and shows off what they have in their hand. These plays are “Bad Mannered” that every player has experienced.
But sometimes, this backfires – and it’s very satisfying to witness!
The streamer SaveFile17 has essentially lost the match against the Paladin. A comeback seems impossible, and after just a few moments, it is clear: the opponent “Omegatron” could finish the game and win.

But then what must happen, happens: Omegatron attacks and brings SaveFile17 down to one health point. In an attempt to show off and demonstrate how confident he is in his victory, he plays Deathwing. Deathwing has a terrifying stat line of 12/12 and destroys all other minions on the field, but also discards the owner’s hand.
What the Paladin did not consider: through the deathrattle effect of a minion, SaveFile17 received another minion – and this one had Poison as an attribute, which means it could directly kill Deathwing.
The end of the story is easy to imagine: SaveFile17 achieves victory and is as happy as a clam. There is indeed justice on the internet. Sometimes it only appears when you don’t hit “Concede” early and just let the opponent do their thing.

Pearl Abyss, the developers of Black Desert Online, have recently caused an uproar by getting Reddit to remove a post that revealed secrets of the game. Now the developers are apologizing to the community and will disclose the secret stats in the future.
Black Desert is a complex sandbox MMO that often remains opaque even to seasoned players. There are secret stats in the game that no one but the developers truly knows. It is therefore impossible to determine exactly what a specific item can do.
To finally unveil these mysteries, a data miner revealed secrets of the game code on Reddit. However, the developers at Pearl Abyss did not find this amusing and instructed the moderators of the subreddit to delete the post. They feared the information would be used for cheating.
The mods complied, triggering a shitstorm. In the end, it probably became too much for Pearl Abyss and publisher Kakao Games, and they decided to reach out to the players again.
Developers apologize and provide secret stats
To smooth things over, Jae-hee Kim, Executive Producer of Black Desert Online at Pearl Abyss, wrote an open letter to the community. In it, he apologizes for the confusion caused and for failing to provide concrete information about the stats.
Therefore, they intend to do everything differently in the future and disclose all stats moving forward. They initially thought the “secret stats” were a nice idea, but it has become clear that it creates too great a gap between players who know and those who have no idea.
Thus, in the future, values for accuracy, damage reduction, and evasion will be visible in tooltips.
The trainers are frustrated about many issues in Pokémon GO. In a survey, players share what bothers them the most and how the game could be improved.
When you ask Pokémon GO players what problems there are in the game right now, you get a wide range of answers. Connection issues with catching helpers and unclear EX raid invitations regularly cause frustration.
The battle system is also rated negatively by many players.
Quests, weekly events, and a better battle system are desired
The YouTube channel “TrainerTips” is well-known in the community with over 660,000 subscribers. Operator Nick regularly interacts with his followers and talks about current events in the game.
On Twitter, he wrote a few days ago: “Reply to this tweet with one thing that needs to be improved in Pokémon GO.”
So far, almost 2000 replies have come to the tweet. In a video, Nick presents the responses that
received the most likes,
were the most well thought out,
or were mentioned particularly frequently.
The result is many improvements that players from the community desire. Maybe some of your improvement wishes are also included.

We summarize the demands from the tweets for you here:
Players want an improved EX raid system
Niantic should clearly communicate what players need to do to receive an invitation.
Better rewards are desired for players who spend a lot of time in Pokémon GO. EX raid invitations are wished for in this regard.
“The EX raid system is complete bullshit and inconsistent.” Players are annoyed when the same trainers receive EX raid invitations repeatedly while many other players do not receive any invitations at all.
If there were a system for the prerequisites of invitations, many players would be happy.
Rural players want more gaming opportunities
“More for rural players. More gyms and more PokéStops. And please, rare spawns!” It would be nice to find something other than Rattata, Pidgey, Caterpie, Spinarak, and Whimsur. Many rural players have no incentive to play and are not even close to completing their Pokédex.
EX raids are also desired in rural areas.
Daily quests or events for more variety and rewards
Quests or something similar are desired. Raids are no longer interesting for many players, and the rewards are pointless without a PvP system.
“Pokémon GO doesn’t need a story to go through. But players should be able to achieve quests.”
“New raid bosses, legendary monsters, and Gen 3 are only a temporary solution,” say trainers. Simply catching doesn’t bring them as much joy as it did at the beginning.
Many are generally dissatisfied with the battle system and gyms
Many trainers find the battle system boring and too repetitive.
“I hate being dependent on other players during raids. I am not someone who likes hanging out with strangers and do not want to change that. Generally, gyms and raids should be improved to require more strategy rather than just combining strong monsters.”
A more engaging battle system with more Pokémon abilities is often desired. Every Pokémon should be unique, not just their candies.
It should be important which Pokémon you use to attack the defenders instead of just waiting for their motivation to drop.
Penalties for spoofers and bots
Spawner accounts should be banned and deleted.
One player complains about a lack of interest from Niantic. “My hometown in the Netherlands is overrun by bots. We (30 players) have sent the evidence to Niantic, but nothing has happened. There are six accounts from Team Yellow, and the highest has nine perfect Heiteira. It’s no longer fun.”
iOS issues irritate trainers with GO Plus
Niantic should finally fix the “iOS 11 GO Plus” issues. Players have been living with connection drops and other problems for weeks or have to forgo the GO Plus gadget.
More frequent spawns everywhere!
Spawns should be evenly distributed worldwide.
Higher spawn chances for “exciting” Pokémon. Better interface on the “Nearby” system.
For example, the option to ignore frequently appearing Pokémon on the list. The option to block specific Pokémon.
Niantic should focus on providing the best player experience to every player around the world.
Players want to interact with their Pokémon
Interaction with their Pokémon (playing, feeding, petting, etc.). An option to see their buddy walking next to them. A revision of the coin system (more options for earning coins daily). The values of Pokémon should be displayed without having to install extra IV calculators. Additionally: badges for shiny Pokémon.
For Destiny 2, you definitely need a powerful graphics card, right? No. This player shows that it works even with the integrated graphics unit.
Sometimes, not everything goes according to plan in life. Then it helps to be creative to find a solution for new problems.
Gamers are not protected from such problems either. When you meet up online with your friends for a gaming session and suddenly your hardware fails, you need a quick solution.
No Graphics Card? No Problem!
Reddit user Ballisticshark experienced what no gamer wishes for. After just four hours in Destiny 2, his GTX 1080 graphics card failed and stopped working. So what do you do without a replacement graphics card? Put Destiny 2 on hold until you get new hardware? No!
Ballisticshark did what most would dismiss as a bad joke. He decided to use the integrated graphics unit in the processor to play. This unit is not really designed for high gaming demands but rather for office use.
In his case, it is an Intel HD 530 graphics unit, which is built into his Intel Core i7 6700K. To run Destiny 2 at a comfortable framerate, the player had to say goodbye to “FullHD”. He adjusted the resolution down to 720p. But that wasn’t enough – he had to set the render scaling for Destiny 2 to 45%.
With that, he achieved at least 30 FPS. But only if no other players were nearby. Besides that, there were occasional stutters. But that didn’t matter, as he wanted to play.
Despite these circumstances, Ballisticshark reached Power Level 300 with all three of his characters. Kudos!
And now you are probably wondering how the game looks for him. Luckily, he documented his experience with various GIFs that he uploaded. The look resembles that of a retro shooter:
Ballisticshark now hopes to get a replacement graphics card soon so he doesn’t have to “digitally suffer” anymore. Would this look in Destiny 2 be an option for you if your graphics card failed? Or would you rather switch to other games until the new card arrives?
A quirky advertisement wants to convince us: If you are an eSports player, then you enter a world like a soft porn.
It is a quirky commercial: A lanky gamer is sitting in his DX-Racer chair playing a round of Dota 2 when an attractive female mail carrier rings his doorbell. He opens a package, puts on a virtual reality headset, and suddenly there are attractive women in revealing lingerie stretching, sipping cocktails, or lighting a fireplace together all around him. Also, he is in a villa.
The eSports player is apparently the only man in this world of supermodels in stockings.
Highlight: Even lighting a fireplace in teamwork becomes a show.
At the end, the gamer enters a dark room and meets eSports teams for CS:Go and FIFA. The message: “Be part of the team! Join us.”

Apparently, this is a commercial for a Belarusian football club, Dynamo Brest, for an eSports tournament they are hosting. At the end of November, the FCDB Cup will take place in Minsk. A tournament in CS:Go. The winner will receive $20,000.
If in doubt, just add half-naked women!
Apparently, the football experts from Dynamo Brest did not really know how to entice viewers to an eSports tournament, and they decided to just go full on sex.
The three messages from the advertisement:
An eSports player is characterized by wearing a VR headset and playing Dota 2, even if it’s a CS:GO tournament, because… it’s just how it is.
Furthermore, eSports players live in a house with models who light the fireplace in underwear, because… it gets cold sometimes.
A virtual reality headset acts like an X-ray glasses from a comic book and lets us see attractive women in underwear.
Learned something new. I will become an eSports player now.

After the abrupt end of the action MMO Marvel Heroes (PC, PS4, Xbox One), fans are outraged: They want their money back. It doesn’t help that everything is now practically free.
The shocking news came Wednesday evening: Disney has ended its collaboration with Marvel Heroes. Without the license to use all the superheroes and supervillains, the studio Gazillion cannot continue and is shutting down the action brawler on December 31.
On our side, on Mein MMO, over twenty users have commented on the news. Some saw it coming, while others are bewildered. One says: “This is the craziest news of the year. What about my money? Unbelievable!!!”
Where is my money? Bitter for PC veterans and console newcomers
It is painful for PC veterans, who had years to invest time and money into the Diablo-like game. Some are writing in forums like reddit that they have spent hundreds of dollars on the game over time.
Console players find themselves in a strange situation. They say, “What is happening? This just came out for PS4 and Xbox One in the summer. I spent 2 or 30€ – will I get that back now?” It’s not that simple.
Likely no chance of getting the money back, or is there?
The US site Kotaku reports on console players who tried to get their money back for Marvel Heroes from Sony or Microsoft. But apparently, the customer service representatives could not help in many cases. A refund policy was not in effect immediately after the announcement of the shutdown.
Currently, however, this is up in the air. The persistent inquiries from fans may have had an effect with Microsoft. It seems that Microsoft has now approached Gazillion to initiate an automatic refund policy.
However, the situation is unfortunate in any case – it does not look like an orderly procedure as with comparable closures, where there are clear refund rules.
Marvel Heroes gives everything away
Meanwhile, Marvel Heroes rides into the sunset and at least shows generosity now.
Every day, players receive 1000 G – the premium currency of Marvel Heroes. In the in-game shops, prices have dropped to 50G. Now players in Marvel Heroes can buy everything in-game they have ever wished for: all heroes, all team-ups, all costumes.
Marvel Heroes is known for its progress system.
Perhaps an interesting opportunity to enjoy a game for another 6 weeks, which is heading towards an inglorious end.
There are still no clear reasons for the end of Marvel Heroes. An official statement from the developers shed no light on the darkness. We have already reported on the crisis here:
The professional players in WoW suffer from Split Raiding. With Battle for Azeroth, this should finally be a thing of the past.
Professional guilds in World of Warcraft have been facing more and more problems in recent years, which have been exacerbated by the game design. One of the biggest time sinks was Split Raiding.
“Split Raiding” refers to an activity that mainly occurs in professional raids. To ensure that a player’s main character always has the best possible equipment, professionals own a lot of secondary characters. After current content is in “farm status”, multiple raid groups are created. A small portion of the “mains” ventures out with a large part of the secondary characters. This ensures that every main character always has the maximum chance for new loot, as each main character essentially has a “raid just for themselves” regarding loot selection.
Blizzard does not like this practice, and the raiders themselves do not enjoy it either. The time investment is enormous. However, this is expected by many professional guilds, as it guarantees the best possible preparation and a minimal advantage.
Split Raiding will be unnecessary in Battle for Azeroth
In an interview with PCGamesN, Game Director Ion Hazzikostas revealed that they want to address the issue with Battle for Azeroth.
Blizzard has not intervened so far because 99.99% of players have no problem with this mechanic. They do not want to restrict the game in any way – simple ideas would be something like “One raid loot per account and week,” which no one wants.
But for Battle for Azeroth, the developers finally want to provide a remedy for the suffering professional raiders. While no concrete plans are mentioned, Blizzard supposedly has “some ideas about how loot will be structured” that are to be tested in the beta of the new expansion.
Ultimately, they want to leave the decision to the players. If they do not agree, the “anti-split raid features” will likely not make it into the game.
Are you active in professional guilds that require “Split Raiding”? Or are you hearing about this issue for the first time?
Incredible but true! This Exotic in Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris is said to fire mini robot spiders that explode.
It has been known for a few weeks that with Curse of Osiris, a few old Exotics from Destiny 1 will make a return, such as the Telesto or the Jade Rabbit. Numerous Guardians immediately accused Bungie of a lack of creativity and laziness. The developers are said to be overdoing recycling – while it is fine to bring back iconic weapons, new Exotics must also come that offer a completely fresh gameplay experience.
That Bungie can indeed be creative with the new Exotics in Destiny 2 is proven by this grenade launcher. Because apparently, it fires robot spiders!
The Colony – a truly exotic grenade launcher
This unique Exotic is said to be the Veist grenade launcher, which was briefly seen in the teaser trailer for Curse of Osiris (see the image above). As PC Gamer reports, this “The Colony”. During a play event for Curse of Osiris, they were able to play with this weapon – and it was one of the highlights of the event.
The reason: The Colony fires “insectoid robot grenades”. Upon impact, they open up into spider-like robots and scuttle around until they find a target and explode. They explode immediately on direct hits.
With this knowledge, several Guardians, including YouTubers MoreConsole and Unknown Player, immediately examined the footage shown by Bungie, scrutinizing it frame by frame. And indeed, spider-like robots can be discovered!
Here you can see a “grenade” from this grenade launcher coming into the frame from the right. This capsule opens upon impact …
… and out comes a robot spider that explodes immediately:
Here you can see the footage in moving images. The video is marked from 3:06:

The tester from PC Gamer writes that he had a grin on his face with every shot. Additionally, the reload animation is amusing. It looks as if the Guardian hesitates briefly when reloading, as if unsure how to handle these “living” spider grenades. It looks “sweet”.
The item description of “The Colony” reads: “We have done some messed-up things in the past …” According to PC Gamer, Curse of Osiris is definitely not messed up with this grenade launcher.
How powerful The Colony will ultimately be remains to be seen. Currently, grenade launchers are abysmal. They might get buffed with Curse of Osiris. Then this weapon could be highly sought after among Guardians …
Star Wars Battlefront 2 offers not only a multiplayer mode but also, for the first time in a Star Wars video game since 2010, a campaign! But what exactly does it look like? Can it be played in coop? And is the gameplay time really as short as many say?

Although Moira, the newest hero for Overwatch, was only announced and made playable at BlizzCon, the community is already speculating about the next hero.
A little over a year ago, Blizzard emphasized that they wanted to implement significantly more “evil” characters in Overwatch, as there is currently a strong imbalance with the “good” heroes. At least with Doomfist, Sombra, and Moira, they’ve made that a reality – but one thing is still missing: an evil tank.
But nothing escapes the community’s notice. On Reddit, the user EnjiYamakuza spotted another detail in the comic “Masquerade”.
Blizzard has released some artworks of Moira, including a “group photo” with the leaders of Talon. Among them are Doomfist, Reaper, and Moira.
Origin Video Makes Waves
This image was also later used in Moira’s “Origin” video, in which Blizzard explains the backstory of the shady healer. But if you look closely, you can see that Blizzard has slightly modified this image for the cinematic!
The display board in the background has changed. Instead of another window with unclear information, there is now a clear drawing of a battle suit or even a new character.
Many players suspect that this is a battle armor from Talon and ultimately an “evil” tank that will join the characters of Overwatch in one of the upcoming updates.
However, fans agree that Blizzard certainly did not make this change to the artwork by chance. The developers have repeatedly hidden clues about upcoming characters in comics and game content.
What do you think this image means? Is it the next “hero” for Overwatch? Or just a purely visual adjustment?
In The Division, today is the big vendor reset. Which items are particularly worthwhile starting from November 18th?
In the last “State of the Game,” the news came: Agents will have to wait a few more weeks until Update 1.8 is released. It is expected to launch in early December.
That means you have some time to prepare for the update.
Mercy from Overwatch has been revised once again. Are we finally all satisfied?
A new update for Overwatch is live and has brought some changes. In addition to the new healer Moira, which we introduced here, patch 1.17 (PC) or 2.23 (PS4, Xbox One) also brings several adjustments to existing heroes. The biggest changes have once again been given to Mercy.
Since her major rework a few months ago, Mercy has been the problem child of Overwatch. Although the developers’ plan to make Mercy’s playstyle more active and to address her biggest annoyances worked, the community was not satisfied with the rework of Angela Ziegler.
While Mercy lost her mass resurrection, she can now bring individual targets back from the dead much more regularly. The shocking result: The number of her resurrections per round even increased.
In the meantime, Blizzard has further increased the cooldown of the ability.
Mercy can now be interrupted
The latest change ensures that resurrection is no longer a “spontaneous spell” but now has a casting time of a solid 1.75 seconds. During this time, Mercy is also slowed down by 75%, making her an easy target. At the same time, the resurrection is canceled if Mercy is stunned, hacked, or knocked back during this time.
This seems to be well received by players. Resurrection must now be noticeably more tactical and involve much more planning to succeed. Anyone who does not hide behind a shield from Reinhardt or does not perform the resurrection “stealthily” will be stopped in the attempt.
This does not apply to resurrection during her ultimate Valkyrie. When Mercy is in her “ultimate form,” resurrection has no casting time and the healer is also not slowed down.
Overall, the community seems to be happy with these changes; at least, complaints about Mercy have largely disappeared.
Cortyn says: With the casting time of resurrection, Mercy now feels better to counter and allows for many counters. At the same time, the “skill cap” for Mercy has increased a bit, as anyone who activates resurrection at the wrong moment throws away a powerful cooldown. Therefore, all that is left to say is: I am very satisfied with the new Mercy – she is weaker but much more fun.
How do you like the new revision of Mercy? Is she finally “perfect”? Or are further changes necessary?
