The next big update 1.1.4 for Destiny 2 will significantly enhance many weapons – including pulse rifles. We will show you which representatives of this weapon class will become particularly strong as part of the March update.
The upcoming update milestone brings a lot of changes for Destiny 2 on March 27. The PvP will be fundamentally overhauled. The balance of classes and weapons will also be redefined. In the course of these changes, pulse rifles will be significantly buffed. As a result, this currently neglected weapon class will become really attractive.
We will show you some pulse rifles that will represent a convincing alternative to the previously dominant weapons in Destiny 2 after the March update.
The strongest pulse rifles after the March update
Some of these weapons are already a solid choice due to their perks and performance. However, with the upcoming changes, they will be even more worthwhile starting March 27. Because as part of the upcoming update, they will be buffed to a serious alternative to scouts and auto rifles, and should no longer go unnoticed by then.
The following pulse rifles should not be missed:
Wings of Vigilance
The Wings of Vigilance is a fast-firing exotic pulse rifle and is carried in the kinetic slot. Looking closer at the intrinsic perk, it becomes clear that the strengths of the wings clearly lie in PvP.
This solid weapon is excellent for mid-range. If you additionally equip armor mods that reduce the recoil of the kinetic weapon, this pulse rifle becomes even more effective. Three bursts are usually enough to take down an opponent.
Currently, the Wings of Vigilance have only one real flaw – the damage output. This issue will be corrected with the upcoming update. After that, the weapon will be a recommended alternative for PvP.
Relentless
The Relentless is a legendary pulse rifle from the Trials of the Nine and is carried in the kinetic slot. It is excellently suited for PvP – provided you are skilled at landing headshots when it matters. The recoil behavior is slightly predictable and can be well controlled. The weapon feels really pleasant to use.
The current problem with this pulse rifle is the generally weak archetype it belongs to and the fact that both the body shot damage dealt and the bonus damage from Headseeker are too low. However, this issue will be addressed by the upcoming update. After that, the Relentless should be a recommended choice in PvP for all Guardians who can aim well.
True Prophecy II
The legendary pulse rifle True Prophecy II is the winning weapon of the New Monarchy from the 4th faction rally and is carried in the kinetic slot. As a pulse rifle, the weapon is very solid. The perk combination is suitable for both PvE and PvP. It is particularly suited for mid to long range.
Currently, the weapon cannot compete with auto rifles at mid-range or with scouts at longer ranges. However, the upcoming update will significantly strengthen both the weapon itself and its perk Overflow. By then, you should give this weapon a chance.
Coronation Speech
The Coronation Speech is a legendary pulse rifle from the Calus raid and is equipped in the energy slot. It is already a really good weapon with very strong perks, which mostly just lacks damage.
In the right hands, this weapon can also pose a threat in its current state and can even stand up to auto rifles. It can also shine brilliantly in PvE. This rifle will benefit immensely from the upcoming changes and should then at the latest be found in every Guardian’s closer selection of weapons.
Graviton Lance
The Graviton Lance is an exotic pulse rifle and is carried in the energy slot. In its current state, the Lance is hardly even worth mentioning. Currently, it finds no serious application in the game because it disappoints across the board as an exotic and is not worth an exotic slot.
However, as part of the overhaul of exotics, this weapon is set to be massively improved. Although the changes are only planned for May, a brief overview of the upcoming changes sounded very exciting and promising. So you should definitely keep an eye on this pulse rifle in the future.
Cadence-43
The Cadence-43 is a legendary pulse rifle that is carried in the energy slot. It strongly resembles the Iron Sights or the PDX from the predecessor title and is a very solid choice with good perks for PvE. With stability mods for armor, the weapon can be further optimized. Then it can also be pleasant to use in PvP.
The problem with the Cadence-43 is, as with all other pulse rifles, the currently too low damage output. With the upcoming buff of this weapon class, this weapon should also soon be worth a closer look for Guardians.
Last Bastion
The Last Bastion is a legendary pulse rifle for the energy slot. The weapon performs well in both PvE and PvP. The perk Overflow is particularly useful and noticeable when fighting against large masses of enemies in PvE.
The weapon handling is good, and the vertical recoil can be easily balanced out. If you have stability mods equipped, the weapon can also become an extremely lethal instrument in PvP.
Starting March 27, this pulse rifle should also represent a solid alternative for the energy slot. If the weapon is missing from your collection, you still have enough time to earn it. The Last Bastion is definitely worth a recommendation.
Swift Ride
The Swift Ride is a legendary pulse rifle and is carried in the energy slot. Due to its perks, it is excellent for PvP – provided you can land headshots when the situation demands it.
But it also feels enjoyable in PvE. The rifle performs well at mid-range. The recoil behavior is predictable and can be easily compensated.
The problem with this weapon is the fact that both the body shot damage dealt and the bonus damage from Headseeker are too low. However, this issue will be addressed by the upcoming update. After that, you should at least try taking a Swift Ride through the enemy ranks.
Darkness Forward
The Darkness Forward is a legendary pulse rifle from the Trials of the Nine and is carried in the energy slot. It is excellent for PvP and is regarded by many Guardians as the best pulse rifle for Guardian duels.
In skilled hands, the high fire rate, Fixed Draw, and the fully automatic trigger system make the weapon a serious competitor to auto rifles and scouts even in the current meta. Terms like “laser with range” or “divine” are often mentioned.
With the upcoming update 1.1.4, this strong weapon will soon become even more powerful. For PvP fans, this pulse rifle is an absolute must-have! If you don’t have it in your collection yet, you certainly have a compelling reason to check out the Trials of the Nine by the end of March.
What do you think of this selection? Are all your favorites included, or is a strong representative of pulse rifles missing?
On the Japanese site Famitsu, there was an article about future expansions and changes in Monster Hunter World. It was announced that the Deviljho would arrive in March. Additionally, hunters will soon have the opportunity to customize their appearance and that of their Palico, but with a twist.
The Deviljho is eagerly awaited by many hunters. It is also known as Demonjho in German and is a combat wyvern. This carnivore is always hungry and has been observed eating its own kind.
For a long time, there was speculation about when the monster would finally arrive. Now it is officially confirmed that this will happen in March.
The Deviljho arrives on March 22 for Monster Hunter World – DLC is free
To be precise, the Deviljho will appear next Thursday, on March 22. As promised by Capcom, this DLC will be available for free download.
Besides the Deviljho, there will be many other updates that hunters will likely enjoy. The most important ones will be summarized below.
Deviljho Armor – First Images
Capcom released a picture of the armor that you can obtain from the Deviljho.
Hunters will soon be able to customize their appearance, but with a twist
Each account will receive a free ticket. Additional tickets must be purchased with real money.
With the tickets, the appearance of the hunter can be customized
One ticket applies to one character in the account.
The name and appearance of the Palicos can be changed.
Friendly-Fire will be turned off when looting a monster
In Monster Hunter World, there was a major loot problem. Players trolled other hunters when looting monsters and denied them the loot. Due to the “Friendly-Fire” mechanic, other hunters could be hit by players, interrupting the looting action.
Capcom promised to consider solutions and has now found one: “Friendly-Fire” will be turned off when players loot monsters.
Forsaken Legends was an ambitious project a few years ago by a small team that aimed to provide fans of sandbox MMORPGs with a large playground to explore. However, the game turned out to be too ambitious. The groundbreaking technology SpatialOS is now supposed to make that dream a reality.
Forsaken Legends aimed to offer a sandbox world that could be altered by the players. For example, it should have been possible to clear an area of monsters by completing a series of quests. Additionally, a sophisticated economy system played a large role. Resource extraction, crafting, trading, and building houses, castles, and cities formed one of the core elements of the title.
From MMORPG to Cooperative Multiplayer Game
But that did not happen.
The project turned out to be too large for the three-person team. It went quiet on Forsaken Legends until the project leader spoke up at the end of last year and stated he would not give up on his dream. However, instead of a huge MMORPG, Forsaken Legends would become a smaller group-based online RPG. Meanwhile, the other team members had dedicated themselves to new projects to pay their bills.

Now there is another update about the game that MMORPG fans might enjoy. A former programmer is now back in the team, and the group is currently considering utilizing SpatialOS to turn Forsaken Legends back into an MMORPG.
With the SpatialOS software, huge game worlds can be created that can even be simulated in detail. According to the developers, SpatialOS would provide the possibility to turn Forsaken Legends into the ambitious game originally planned. A gigantic, nearly endless, and procedurally generated sandbox world filled with content.
However, one should still approach the project with caution and wait to see how Forsaken Legends develops further.

Fortnite Graphics on PC – Use these tips and tricks to optimize your game.
During the great boom of Fortnite, more and more players are jumping on the bandwagon, trying out the battle royale shooter, and sticking around. Fortnite Battle Royale is currently one of the most played games in the world. You can play it on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
The good thing about the game: The graphics of Fortnite do not demand much. The simple, colorful look allows even “older” systems to achieve high FPS rates. In our guide, we show you how the graphics settings work. This way, you should get the best Fortnite experience possible on PC.
Explanation of Graphics Settings in Fortnite
For long-time PC gamers, the graphics settings in Fortnite are no surprise. With shadows, resolution, and anti-aliasing, you are familiar.
Due to the high popularity that Epic’s version of battle royale is currently enjoying, many new players are joining. They may not have spent much time looking into graphics settings on PC. For you, we want to briefly explain what the various settings mean and how they affect gameplay.
Resolution
One of the fundamental settings in every video game. It’s best to use the native resolution of your monitor. For standard full HD monitors, this would be 1920×1080 in full screen.
Framerate / Frame Rate Limit
You can leave the frame rate on “unlimited”. If you want to save resources, adjust the frame rate to your monitor’s Hz rate. For example, 60 FPS or 144FPS.
3D Resolution
This is basically the scaling of your resolution. This allows you to change the resolution of Fortnite without altering the monitor’s resolution. You can generally ignore this setting. If you are using an old PC system and want to play Fortnite “somehow”, you can reduce the resolution here.
View Distance
With this option, you set how far away you can see smaller objects clearly in Fortnite. For your gameplay, it makes sense to set this slider as high as possible.
Shadows
Here you set the quality of the shadows. This setting has a significant impact on performance – high-quality shadows require a lot of resources. Choose at least the medium setting here. High-quality shadows are more suitable for strong PCs; they are important “for the eye.” Besides aesthetics, they also affect gameplay. One should not completely forgo shadows, as they can help you see enemies behind corners or on higher buildings from the ground.
Anti-Aliasing
Anti-aliasing allows you to make objects and surfaces “smoother.” You probably know those bumps along the edges of objects. This option presents them more smoothly. The medium option uses FXAA, which, while not the best, has a minimal effect on your FPS. If you have enough resources, you can turn this slider up for smoother edges in Fortnite.
Textures
With the texture slider, you can set how detailed the surfaces in Fortnite are rendered. A lower setting can achieve more FPS if performance is more important to you than beautiful graphics.
Effects
Changes to this setting become noticeable in matches when things explode or are destroyed.
Post-Processing
This option includes effects like dynamic lighting in Fortnite. Changes to post-processing have a lesser impact on performance or graphic quality in the game.
Motion Blur
Turning this option on and off greatly depends on your personal preferences. It’s purely a matter of taste.
V-Sync
Vertical synchronization adjusts Fortnite’s frame rate to your desktop’s refresh rate. If your desktop runs at 60Hz, Fortnite tries to keep the game at that value.
System Requirements for Fortnite – Play on Low-End PCs
Fortnite uses the Unreal Engine 4, which is also used by PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. However, due to Fortnite’s mentioned simple style, the requirements for PCs can be kept extremely low. Minimum requirements state an onboard graphics card. And that says something: after all, even old “boxes” can run Fortnite.
Fortnite Minimum Requirements
CPU: Intel Core i3 2.4GHz
RAM: 4GB
Graphics Card: Intel HD 4000
VRAM: Not necessary
Operating System: Windows 7/8/10 64-bit or Mac OSX Sierra
Storage: 15 GB
Fortnite Recommended System
CPU: Intel Core i5 2.8GHz
RAM: 8GB
Graphics Card: Nvidia GT 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870, DX11
VRAM: 2GB
Operating System: Windows 7/8/10 64-bit
Storage: 20 GB
With these systems, you can play Fortnite. However, for a perfect gaming experience, we recommend more power. For example, a Nvidia graphics card from the 900 series or higher VRAM, or a comparable AMD graphics card.
More FPS – How to Boost Your Frames
Are you having issues with low FPS in Fortnite and want to boost your frames? A few of the settings discussed above have a significant impact on your FPS. You can reduce quality to play Fortnite more smoothly.
The minimum target here for low-end machines is, of course, smooth gameplay – around 60 FPS. More powerful systems may aim for 120-150 FPS. Expect lower frames in heated battles than when walking across open fields.
Shadows – the FPS Eaters! If you need a quick FPS boost, reduce shadows to the essentials. If that still doesn’t help, turn them off completely. Keep in mind that this negatively affects gameplay as you may not see enemy shadows at all.
Anti-Aliasing – Nice to Have, but … if you’re willing to sacrifice great visuals for more FPS, simply turn this option down.
Effects slow down during large fights. If you’ve got the settings dialed in so that Fortnite runs smoothly but it lags during intense fights, then dial down the effects for more stability.
If all else fails, reduce the resolution. For a good gaming experience, we cannot recommend resolutions below the standard of 1920×1080. This should really be the last resort if you absolutely want to play Fortnite on an extremely weak system.
The MMO of Life is Feudal is in early access and is continuously being developed. To keep players updated, developer and publisher Bitbox is constantly releasing new videos. The latest one is about an important aspect: politics.
The Life is Feudal MMO is a huge sandbox survival game that is unparalleled in size and scope. In a realistic medieval world, you fight for survival, establish cities and kingdoms, make friends, and create enemies.
With many players in close quarters, conflicts naturally arise. Larger guilds dominate smaller ones or negotiate contracts with others. Politics and war are ever-present and crucial components of the gameplay experience. The video explains how they work.
To participate in world events or play a role, you need to be part of a guild. The larger the guild, the greater the influence. There are different stages of development that a guild goes through:
First Stage – Band Stage: The beginning of every journey. A few people come together to not be alone in the world. You cannot claim land and play no role in world politics.
The suitable option for: Drifters, brigands, thieves, and strays.
Second Stage – Order Stage: Once the guild reaches 10 members, it can rise to the Order. It has no land rights, but has its own symbols and badges for permanent memberships.
The suitable option for: Mercenaries, adventurers, and those who don’t play a big role but still want to be noticed.
Third Stage – Country Stage: The next stage is significantly larger. Countries can claim land and interact directly with other countries. They have a place in politics and are usually vassals of the next larger kingdom.
The suitable option for: Players who want to experience village life and specialize in professions without investing too much time and effort in politics and war.
Fourth Stage – Kingdom Stage: The last and largest stage a guild can reach is the kingdom. Smaller guilds around the kingdom automatically become vassals when they form an alliance with you.
The guild becomes the center of the kingdom’s politics, to which all surrounding countries belong. Vassals lose their privileges in politics, which are all regulated by the kingdom. The established course must be followed – after all, life is feudal!
To not sink, the guild must remain influential and ideally keep growing. If the kingdom appoints a person as a minister to handle recruitment, it is already on a good path to becoming a world power.
Cities and villages are part of the kingdom, just like the central castle.
With bad neighbors, there is war!
Of course, it is not just the growth of a guild through new players that is important. If the space becomes too cramped, and you no longer get along with the lord across the way, the sword is the only solution left. To do so, quite bureaucratically, war must be declared.
Guild leaders can change the status of the guild with other guilds in the world through the “Standings” menu. The options are:
Ally: The guild is an ally, there is likely a dependency.
Friendly: Guild members do not attack each other; they work together.
Neutral: No cooperation or conflicts.
Hostile: Members are attacked upon encounter, but not targeted.
War: There is open war, territories are targeted.
The theory of politics sounds quite simple and straightforward. But with just a few hundred members in the alliance, coordination becomes tricky. In the end, diplomacy decides politics. How you want to fit into it is up to you!
From the Sea of Thieves cannon, David “The Bullet” Smith flew and set a new world record. Strong marketing for the Microsoft title.
With unusual marketing, one remains in the minds of many players. For example, by firing a human cannonball in real life. In the game, something like that is also possible, but significantly safer.
New World Record for Human Cannonball
On March 20, 2018, the new Microsoft title Sea of Thieves was released. To celebrate this, the Xbox team partnered with stuntman David “The Bullet” Smith. Together, they aimed to break a world record: the greatest distance traveled as a human cannonball.
On Microsoft’s streaming platform “Mixer,” the attempt could be followed live. Smith was fired from a cannon about 10 meters long named “Xbox Pirate Blaster.”

David Smith earned his nickname “The Bullet” during his eleven-year career as a human cannonball. He performed over 5000 stunts during that time.
Reference to Sea of Thieves Feature
In the upcoming pirate adventure Sea of Thieves, ships are equipped with cannons. In addition to the usual cannonballs, you can also load these heavy weapons with yourself or your allies and finally fire them.
To avoid headaches, one should not use the human cargo as an attack against ships. Instead, players can use this tactic to shoot themselves onto piles of islands or quickly reduce the distance to enemies.
The movie Ready Player One is full of video game references. We reveal which game heroes have snuck into the film.
Fans of video games should definitely keep an eye on the movie “Ready Player One” this year, which starts screening in cinemas here from April 5th. In Steven Spielberg’s latest film, it’s about virtual worlds, and there are many pop culture references. Characters from video games, anime, comics, and other movies appear.

Chun Li from Street Fighter, Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, and Tracer from Overwatch are also found among the chaos as powerful women and are prominently featured in the onslaught.
With so many cool appearances of well-known characters, the question arises whether one can even concentrate on the story in the cinema or is just constantly looking for the next reference.
What do you think of all these appearances of well-known heroes? A cool thing to see them all in one film? Or does it already seem overloaded?
A 23-year-old man was stabbed in Oberhausen last night. The dispute escalated over seats in an internet café. The victim was playing Fortnite there with other men Fortnite.
As reported by “derwesten.de”, a dispute occurred last night at 21:10 between two groups of young men in Oberhausen. Police say: One of the men stabbed a 23-year-old and injured him critically.
The dispute took place in an internet café and on the street outside. In the internet café, a group of young men was supposed to have met to play Fortnite together. Then another group came to use the computers in the internet café as well.
The two groups clashed. The dispute moved outside to the street, where the verbal confrontation escalated. One of the men stabbed the victim. After that, the men disappeared. It is still unclear how many people were actually involved in the conflict.
The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries to the chest and back and is in critical condition. The Essen police have set up a murder commission.
The patch 3.3.0 was originally scheduled to go live in Fortnite on Wednesday, March 14th. However, this will not happen. As Epic recently announced, a problem was discovered – and the release of the patch has to be postponed. What is behind this? And when will the patch arrive?
From the Reddit announcement regarding the delay of the update, it can only be read that 3.3.0 will definitely not be released on Wednesday. Thursday may now come back into focus.
It is not known how severe the problem is and whether it was triggered by a new feature. A few weeks ago, Epic acknowledged problems with the jetpack and quickly released the hunting rifle.
When the update 3.3.0 will come is currently unknown. It is also unclear whether the already announced new features will have to be set aside for the time being due to potential issues. As soon as Epic releases the details and a precise time frame, you will find out as usual from us.
The latest Hearthstone patch is live and has brought several improvements. The Arena is now more interesting and there are free packs to be won!
Hearthstone has been upgraded to patch 10.4. This update lays the groundwork for the upcoming expansion “The Witchwood”, which will feature 135 new cards. However, even the patch brought new cards, specifically for the Arena. Each class now has an exclusive Arena card that will create additional excitement. Furthermore, the rules for assembling decks in the Arena have been improved so that players are offered more equivalent cards.
Additionally, data miners at Hearthpwn have already searched the 10.4 patch and uncovered some exciting details. Before the release of “The Witchwood”, there will be a nearly three-week event during which there is a card pack every day for completing a daily quest – in addition to the normal quest reward.
On 16 days, there will be packs from Goblins and Catacombs, but on days 3, 7, 10, and 16 there will be packs from the new expansion “The Witchwood”.
However, the data miners point out that it might also be possible that not all card packs will be distributed. The event could perhaps last only two weeks and an additional week might be planned as a “reserve” in case the release of “The Witchwood” needs to be postponed.
Pre-order promises 20 more packs than usual
Those who want to pre-order cards can also benefit from a special offer this time. For €50, you get 70 card packs from the upcoming expansion “The Witchwood” – that’s 20 packs more than usual for pre-orders.
As usual, the pre-order also comes with an exclusive card back. The pre-order is generally possible until the release of the expansion.
There is still no exact date for the release of “The Witchwood”, only “in April 2018” is stated.
These eight MOBAs have tried, but ultimately failed. Which one do you miss the most?
For gamers, MOBAs have long been a complement to MMOs or shooters. After the tremendous success of the titans Dota and League of Legends, it is no surprise that other developers want a piece of the MOBA pie. After all, it is a highly attractive genre.
News and stories about the games are often generated by the gamers themselves. The meta changes from patch to patch, and hopefully perfect gameplay keeps the MOBA fresh for a long time.
This means that developers hardly have to write stories or develop complex raids to keep the game alive. They can focus on new heroes and balancing, while also earning money through skins or other microtransactions.
Many have tried
It didn’t take long for the market to be flooded with MOBAs (something similar will probably happen now with battle royale modes). A few of them have a constant player base and regularly entertain their community. We think of Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm or Smite by Hi-Rez.
A few new games in the MOBA field had a promising start but soon lost regular players and ultimately went under. For others, the core concept looked critical from the beginning.
We want to present to you here eight MOBAs that unfortunately did not make the leap to top game status, but have disappeared from the scene.
1. Paragon – Fans even tried to keep it alive artificially
Developed by Epic Games, Paragon wanted to take off in the MOBA genre. The Free2Play system and regular updates initially sounded promising, but then Paragon quickly fell victim to a vicious cycle. Within a short time after launch, player numbers were low.
This then affected the matchmaking and extended the search time for opponents. This, in turn, frustrated players and the numbers continued to drop.
With their version of battle royale, Epic Games is now smashing it with Fortnite.
2. Cloud Pirates – Not even half a year
Cloud Pirates was a somewhat different MOBA. With airship battles, it left an impression on many players. The combat ships could be upgraded, but the grind factor quickly became a negative.

In April 2017, the air combat game launched as a free-to-play title. Not even half a year later, My.com then announced that Cloud Pirates will be discontinued on September 29, 2017.
There were no official reasons, but it is suspected that the weak player numbers caused the game to die. Here too, the developers offered to refund purchases made (made after July 12).
The action game Gigantic has had an exciting journey, which unfortunately did not end with a happy ending. The game combined MOBA and team shooter and looked great. However, development delays and platform changes made the launch difficult right from the start.
And Blizzard didn’t really want to give its team shooter Overwatch much room for competition either.

Gigantic has been declared dead twice but somehow managed to stay afloat. Recently, only a core team took care of Gigantic, but that will now come to an end. On July 31, 2018, Gigantic will be discontinued.
4. Master X Master – No space for niche games?
The mix of MOBA and co-op was unfortunately granted only a short lifespan. The end of Master X Master was announced just 6 months after launch.
The game offered a lot of variety through its game modes. Perhaps that was a reason for the dwindling players, as MXM couldn’t quite pin itself down to one thing.

Developer Turbine wanted to make a splash with this DC superhero MOBA. But this bubble burst quickly – after the release in March 2015, the end was announced three months later, in June.
Until August 14, 2015, players could still play the game for free, but then it was over.

In development, the team would have grown to face the difficult tasks, but ultimately it wasn’t enough. In the MOBA market, there simply wasn’t room for Infinite Crisis in 2015.
6. Dawngate – EA tried
With Dawngate, Electronic Arts wanted to carve its way into the MOBA genre. Developed by Waystone Games, Dawngate was a rather classic MOBA. With lanes, heroes, junglers, minions, and typical content.

The test phase started in May 2013 and could not attract enough people. In November 2014, Dawngate was quietly discontinued.
7. Lord of Vermilion: Arena – The complicated resurrection
With “LOVA” Square Enix took a step towards MOBA, but that didn’t last long and was hardly known here. The game was already announced in 2015, mixing MOBA elements with a card game. The result was rather mediocre, as the title did not achieve overwhelming popularity. In 2016, the game shut down…

The remake of Lord of Vermilion Arena is still ongoing. After it was resurrected from the dead, it secures a special place on our list.
8. Warhammer 40k: Dark Nexus Arena
Does anyone still remember this game? Indie developer Whitebox Interactive worked for Microsoft and produced the game for Windows systems. As the name suggests, it was set in the Warhammer 40k universe. It was played with 4v4 deathmatch mechanics.

In May 2015, Warhammer 40k Dark Nexus Arena entered early access and was supposed to be released in 2016. After more than a year in beta, however, they ultimately pulled the plug and discontinued development before the game was released.
Have you played any MOBAs from this list and do you miss them? What alternative are you playing now?
Destiny has permanently changed the taste of players on PS4 and Xbox One. But now Destiny 2 is in a crisis and can no longer satisfy the hunger it has awakened itself. Which games benefit from this crisis? Which games has Destiny paved the way for success?
When Destiny was released in 2014 on PS4 and Xbox One, Activision marketed it as a shooter. The Halo past of Bungie was pushed to the forefront. Very little information about the MMO mechanics was released before the launch.
Destiny was sold as a shooter but was more
That Luke Smith, a WoW fan who had raided all night and was now designing a raid for Destiny, was at the helm was known to very few at the release. The mechanics were also new to many shooter fans.
Things like
grind
an item reset
a special vendor like Xur
the hunt for the perfect item with the right stats and perks
raids and lockouts
weekly rituals
– all of this was new for many shooter fans on PS4 and Xbox One. Activision apparently had doubts in advance about whether it would even work. The MMO aspects barely played a role in the presentation. But it was precisely those aspects that made the game a success.
Like a Trojan horse, Destiny smuggled disreputable MMO elements into the belly of a beautiful shooter and infected a generation of players on PS4 and Xbox One with them.
Destiny became a lifestyle game for many. A game that could be played every week, that changed and promised untapped potential. Friendships and communities were formed and often lasted for months, even years.
Players long for the “Destiny” flavor
Players developed a taste for it between 2014 and 2017 and longed for more of these elements. Many planned to spend hundreds of hours with Destiny 2. But the successor disappointed. Destiny 2 did not offer the same dynamics and depth as its predecessor.
Even though Destiny 2 entertained for over 80, 90 hours, it is not a worthy substitute for many.
Now that Destiny 2 is in a crisis and cannot satisfy this taste it has awakened, players are longing for alternatives.
We ask ourselves:
Who are the 5 winners of the great Destiny 2 crisis?
Which games would have fared worse today if Destiny had never paved the way for them?
Monster Hunter World – Destiny paved the way
What is it?Monster Hunter World is a modernized installment of a cult franchise that has been long at home on handhelds and in Japan. Players hunt dinosaur-like monsters, take them apart, and craft new weapons from their remains to take down even bigger beasts.
What Destiny needs does it satisfy? It is a lifestyle game, one can play it for a long time. It has strong grinding and coop elements. And one can deeply engage with the mechanics of the game, immerse oneself in it, set tasks, and complete them.
How does Monster Hunter World benefit from Destiny and the crisis? Destiny players now have space in their lives for a game they can play for months. For many, that space has been filled by Monster Hunter World since January 2018. Although veterans of the franchise would have surely played and loved the game without Destiny, the fact that Monster Hunter World has such wide reach and is a massive hit is certainly also due to Destiny. It paved the way for Monster Hunter World on PS4 and Xbox One.
Your child has been talking only about dangerous storms and resources to build fortresses lately? Then your son or daughter has probably discovered Fortnite (PS4, Xbox One, PC). We are here to explain how parents should deal with tantrums and begging.
The Battle Royale mode of Fortnite is currently more popular than any other game. 40 million players worldwide is a clear statement. The mode is free and can be played on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
To win a game in Battle Royale mode, one must proceed strategically. Fortresses must be built, equipment carefully selected, and resources collected.
When playing with friends, communication and interaction within a team come into play. These factors create a mix of addiction (“just one more game”) and emotionality (when a round is lost just before the end).
Winning in Fortnite: Battle Royale is tough – frustration guaranteed
To compete against up to 99 other players depending on the game mode, either skill or luck is required. As characters can be eliminated quickly, frustration can suddenly arise when one’s own hero gets hit.
Fortnite is stressful; one must always be alert and scan their surroundings for threats. A round can quickly end after a moment of inattention. Since there is no way to return to the game, fallen players must start a completely new round.
If your children are susceptible to such stress and resulting anger, it can help if they are present while Fortnite is running. This way, they can mediate defeats. Every lost round in Fortnite can be justified.
Encourage your child to think about what went wrong – and how they can do better in the next round.
Why “Just 5 more minutes” doesn’t work in Fortnite
Your child has been sitting in front of the console for hours again and shows no signs of stopping gaming? Telling them “Just 5 more minutes” does not do your child any favors. Individual rounds in Fortnite: Battle Royale can take up to 25 minutes, depending on the progress.
Instead, say: “After this round, it’s over.” Your children will thank you for it. Excuses like “I died way too quickly in the last round” can be easily countered with “Then you shouldn’t have landed in Tilted Towers!”
A dangerous place – Tilted Towers
There is no pause function in Fortnite: Battle Royale. So you can’t just interrupt the game without risking being shot down defenselessly.
Otherwise, Fortnite can train cognitive skills. Strategy and tactics are key; hand-eye coordination can also be specifically enhanced with such games. Furthermore, communication with team members is important. However, you should always know who your child is talking to.
Pay attention to who your child communicates with
Through the consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so-called chat rooms can be opened, which can be used to communicate with other players. Since it is almost mandatory to wear a headset in Fortnite to hear opponent and environmental sounds, you should be aware that conversations are not output through the TV but rather through the headset worn.
Even without a corresponding chat room, communication can occur directly with random teammates in Fortnite. To find out who communicates with your child in what way, you should enable alternative audio output through the TV. This setting option can be found in the settings of the respective console.
Is the depiction of violence in Fortnite problematic for children?
Unlike its competitors, Fortnite is much more colorful and playful. Defeated opponents do not die but are simply teleported out of the world.
There is no blood or other violent effects. Fortnite approaches the shooter genre humorously, allowing various dances and gestures. The different skins (outfits) are funny and always highlight that the game does not take itself too seriously.
Nevertheless, firearms are used: It’s similar to the A-Team from earlier. Everyone shoots with machine guns, but no one dies.

By using a simple Fortnite emote, players gain advantages as they can hide. Will Epic nerf the emote?
The emote system in Fortnite has many fun poses available. This includes the Flippin’ Sexy emote, which players can now use to their advantage. This pose allows characters to lie down – something that cannot be done without an emote.
Will Flippin’ Sexy Become a Must-Have?
Those who spend money in Fortnite Battle Royale don’t actually gain any advantages over non-paying players. All items from the Battle Pass are cosmetic. This includes new gliders as well as emotes or skins. Besides fun appearances, this content should ideally have no impact on gameplay.
However, the “Flippin’ Sexy” emote is somewhat different. This emote was only available for a short time and gives players an advantage in Fortnite. By using the emote, the executing player jumps into a “sexy” pose, with the character lying on the ground, supported by one hand on the hip. A shot can end the execution of this emote immediately.
The special thing about it is that players actually can’t lie down in Fortnite. However, this emote allows players to hide behind low cover without their upper body being visible. This surprises opponents, who do not expect lying characters in the game. Suddenly, a player jumps out from behind cover, draws the shotgun, and has the element of surprise on their side.
An example of the advantage of this pose can be seen in the following example:
It still remains questionable whether Epic will nerf this emote now and change its handling. If everything stays the same, players will likely rush to the in-game store when the Flippin’ Sexy emote becomes available again.
Do you think the emote is harmless fun that is rarely used, or should Epic respond soon?
The second expansion for Destiny 2 is approaching. More and more supposed details are becoming known. A vendor description now reveals possible story contents of the 2nd DLC “The Fallen Warmind.”
Currently, leaks regarding supposed details are piling up around the second expansion for Bungie’s current title. While official information is still scarce, it is becoming increasingly likely that the story could revolve around a Warmind and a woman named Ana Bray, leading the Guardians to Mars.
A new emblem recently found in the data of Destiny 2 has further supported this assumption.
Now a product description from GameStop reveals potential details about the story of the 2nd DLC. However, this information has not been confirmed by Bungie so far.
WARNING – POSSIBLE STORY SPOILERS AHEAD!
This is how the story around DLC II could look like
The product description appears authentic. It is said to come from the same source that was responsible for the GameStop leak of the name and release date for the 2nd DLC.
The following can be inferred from the description:
The 2nd expansion “The Fallen Warmind” continues your Guardian’s journey in new story missions on a new planet – Mars. Rasputin has mysteriously disappeared, Ana Bray returns to the Last City and warns of a dark uprising on Mars. Uncover the conspiracy surrounding his disappearance, prevent the rise of a corrupted Warmind, and bring the truth about the collapse to light.
Explore Mars and the Deep Stone Crypt beneath its surface
New story missions and adventures
New theme-inspired weapons, armor, and other gear
New cooperative activities
New competitive multiplayer arenas
And more…
Whether this description is truly authentic cannot be said with certainty. However, it seamlessly connects to the tone of recent leaks and hints regarding the 2nd expansion and confirms previous assumptions.
But official details should not take too long to come. After the update milestone 1.1.4 on March 27, April is likely to be focused on the upcoming expansion. By then, more official information should follow.
Are you already looking forward to Mars, or do you think the information is just hot air?
The Method guild gives all healers in World of Warcraft 5 useful tips to improve their performance in the toughest “Mythic+” dungeons.
Especially with a well-equipped group that is also on the ball and skillfully avoids the various mechanics, the healer’s life in WoW can sometimes be quite boring. However, even a good group can still fail to meet the tough time constraints of the dungeon.
What healers can do to still put out decent performance even beyond “Mythic+10” is revealed by the Method guild in collaboration with wowhead.
Tip 1: Skip trash thanks to mass res
In many dungeons, it is easy to reach 100% of the necessary killed trash mobs long before the boss fight. To save time and avoid particularly annoying trash groups, controlled deaths are advisable.
While one player attracts the attention of the enemies, the healer (outside of combat) walks past the groups and waits at a safe distance. Once all team members have died, the healer uses the mass resurrection – as it has a range of 100 meters and does not even require line of sight. This is particularly effective for druids who can stealth. Alternatively, invisibility potions can also be used.
Tip 2: Do damage when it makes sense
Although the healer plays an important role in every group, there are small or large windows of time where healing is not as critical. Sometimes mechanics can be completely avoided, resulting in minimal group damage. In such moments, it is worth it for healers to also pull out damage spells and help defeat enemies. This saves time, and the quicker defeated enemies mean less healing needed.
However, you should never lose sight of this: Healing is ultimately more important than damage.
Tip 3: Mini battle frenzy thanks to Sephuz’ Secret
Two legendary items are essential for challenging “Mythic+” dungeons – the Ring of Sephuz’ Secret and the Necklace of Prydaz, Xavaric’s Magnum Opus.
Prydaz ensures that all players survive many boss mechanics that would otherwise be deadly. For example, in Mythic+15, Hyrja can often send players directly to their graves, but Prydaz’s additional shield can counter this.
Sephuz’ Secret, on the other hand, can provide a mini battle frenzy for 10 seconds and can occur every 30 seconds. However, you must successfully apply a control effect – such as a stun, a fear effect, or similar. Learn which enemies you can use this on. Because having a small battle frenzy of 25% more speed every 30 seconds means you effectively deliver more performance.
Tip 4: Healing is different from in a raid
A good healer knows not only their own healing output but also that of their teammates. They know which classes can heal themselves strongly. While in raids you are mainly concerned with the tank’s healing, it can be quite the opposite in Mythic dungeons – often it is the DPS that are close to death and can easily go down in just two seconds of negligence.
Pay special attention to these players, as they often fall much faster than the tank and should take priority in case of doubt.
Tip 5: Get rid of the annoying stuff
In almost all dungeons, there are mechanics or tasks that do not directly relate to tanking, healing, or dealing damage. Sometimes you have to carry a light from Elune to reveal special enemies, and sometimes you have to activate a switch at the right moment.
Even if you might not like to hear it: This is the perfect task for healers. Tanks often need to stand in fixed positions, and DPS should always be able to deliver full performance to meet the dungeon’s time limit. As healers have occasional downtime – because there is no damage coming in – they are perfect for these tasks.

What do you think of these tips for healers? Was there anything useful for you in there? Or was it all “basic knowledge” that every healer in WoW should have?
According to a rumor, Epic is replacing the Tilted Towers in Fortnite: Battle Royale with a location called Captive Castle. What’s the truth behind the rumor? Is Epic really going to throw all the work with the Towers overboard? We present the rumor and shed light on it.
It’s no secret: The balance of the Fortnite: Battle Royale map has been disrupted with the Tilted Towers. Since the last major map update, the city has been experiencing a continuous gold rush.
Round after round, dozens of players land in the city to get their piece of the pie. This leads to abandoned locations on the eastern part of the map – and thus to boredom, according to player criticism.
According to YouTuber Exility, Epic is working on a replacement for the Tilted Towers: Captive Castle!
According to YouTuber, Epic is working on the location Captive Castle
The YouTuber Exility describes in his video a new location called Captive Castle, which will replace the Tilted Towers and thereby distribute players more across the map.
The video has already garnered 1.6 million views and is a hot topic in the community.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_IQtX7_Vyc
Exility states as a reason that the Tilted Towers disrupt the game balance and harm the gameplay. According to the community, the castle is the “best alternative”.
Who was consulted for this information is not known. Unfortunately, the YouTuber does not provide a source for this rumor. The title of the video also suggests that the change is already set in stone. No valid source is provided for this claim.
Robert says: The Tilted Towers are a reasonable addition to Fortnite: Battle Royale. High risk is rewarded with above-average loot. The biggest problem with the Towers is their location. Since the city is very central, it is almost always in the first safe zone.
Players thus have significantly more time to hunt for loot than a player who jumped over Lonely Lodge. The buildings and winding spots of the city also offer plenty of hiding places.
Captive Castle is likely just a fan concept at the moment
Despite the disrupted balance, it is highly unlikely that Epic will completely abandon the location. The video is a concept from the community, no more and no less. It will be exciting to see how Epic will handle the Tilted Towers in the future.
Nonetheless, the castle could be placed elsewhere, which is relatively abandoned – the area around Dusty Depot.
What do you think of the concept? Could you imagine the castle on the map?

For this year’s TennoCon, taking place in July in Ontario, “one of the biggest reveals of the year” has also been announced.
The free-to-play action game Warframe is now entering its fifth year, and the Canadian developer and publisher Digital Extremes looks back on the beginnings of the space ninja game.
While the title had a hard time in the market due to its unusual business model in 2013, Warframe has recorded 38,083,936 registered online users on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 since its open beta on March 21, 2013. Compared to the previous year, the player base has grown by 8 million Tenno.
Furthermore, Warframe has won several Game of the Year awards as well as the Steam Labour of Love Award 2017, received its first open-world expansion with “Plains of Eidolon,” and has been updated more than 22 times. Moreover, in 2016, there was even an in-game wedding broadcasted live.
Players have spent the last five years
produced 52,972,344 Warframes and 234,766,197 weapons
killed Captain Vor, the first boss of the game, 53,117,969 times

To properly celebrate Warframe’s birthday, a microsite will be launched on the official game website, focusing entirely on the last five years of the action game. There, Tenno will not only learn unique Warframe facts and discuss their favorite moments but can also discover some free in-game items.
Third TennoCon with a Surprise
This year, the third TennoCon will also take place on Saturday, July 7, 2018. For those who cannot be in London, Ontario, Canada, on that day, the spectacle will also be streamed on twitch.tv/warframe. No less than “one of the biggest reveals of the year” is promised.
Capcom has announced a new collaboration for Monster Hunter World. Dante from Devil May Cry will join the action RPG and brings his weapons “Force Edge” and “Alastor” with him. Dante’s weapons belong to the energy blade class.
With the release of the Devil May Cry HD Collection for PS4 and Xbox One, Dante and his weapon will soon be available in Monster Hunter World. The half-demon will be unlocked through an event and will likely be available to you as a armor set, similar to Aloy. His weapon will also make it into the game.
Dante comes with a hellish event quest for PS4 and Xbox One
On Capcom’s official blog it has been announced that hunters will have to fight against “hellish enemies” to earn Dante’s weapons. You will be able to unlock the combo of “Force Edge” and “Alastor”.
In Monster Hunter World, Dante’s sword will fall under the category of energy blades within the 14 weapon classes. The energy blade offers the ability to switch between sword and axe modes. In sword mode, the energy blade also provides a shield that is needed for the axe combination. For Dante’s variant of the energy blade, you will not receive a shield, but will still be able to block. Instead, the Force Edge will transform into a gigantic Alastor.
In the blog post, it was also announced that Dante will be released together with an event quest available to all hunters in Monster Hunter World. However, a specific time was not mentioned.
It is to be expected that Dante will come as armor with statistics and values, just like Aloy and Ryu. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet.
What is Devil May Cry and who is Dante?
Devil May Cry is an action game series that has been playable since 2001 and, like Monster Hunter World, is published by Capcom. The first installment was released on the PlayStation 2. The game revolves around the twin brothers Dante and Vergil.
Their father is a demon named Sparda and their mother is an angel woman named Eva. This makes the brothers Nephilim (demon-angel hybrids), granting them supernatural powers.
Dante is the protagonist of the Devil May Cry series. He is called to be a devil hunter and fights with a sword that possesses magical powers and was an heirloom of his father. Dante can be described as a daredevil with a strong ego who is always in debt.
