In the space sandbox Elite: Dangerous, a player painted the game’s logo on the galaxy map. He traveled for a month and covered over 36,000 light years!
What is it about? Elite: Dangerous is a huge space sandbox game. In it, you can freely explore our galaxy and do whatever you want. Players engage in all sorts of fun activities alongside the official missions and quests.
There is a kind of space AAA, the “Fuel Rats.” Crash derbies with the free starter ships take place. Or a convoy travels to the edge of the galaxy to fulfill a dying person’s last wish.
Hardcore fan spends a month of real-time drawing Elite logo
What happened now? There are fans, and then there are hardcore super fans like Commander Malibu. The player loves Elite so much that he wanted to immortalize the game’s logo on the galaxy map.
This logo was painted on the map of Elite.
In the game, you can visually represent your traveled distance. Malibu did this by transferring the game’s logo into a coordinate system. He then entered the X and Z coordinates into the game.
At over 240 waypoints, he flew the route to “draw” the logo on the map.
No pit stops allowed, space roadside assistance needed!
How did this devil do it? Since all the coordinates from Commander Malibu’s logo project are not official points somewhere in space, he couldn’t just stop at a station and refuel his ship.

So, to avoid lying somewhere in the void between stars, he had to call upon the “Fuel Rats,” the highly regarded space roadside service, to regularly bring him fuel and supplies.
After a month of real-time (!) and 375,000 light years traveled in 6,500 jumps, the logo was finally completed!

In the popular shooter Fortnite, developer Epic Games continues the lawsuit against a 14-year-old cheater. The boy’s mother protested sharply with an open letter.
What happened? Epic filed a lawsuit in October 2017 against several players who developed or promoted cheats for Fortnite. One of the defendants turned out to be a 14-year-old boy. Epic was not aware of this when they filed the lawsuit.
What did the boy do? The 14-year-old allegedly operated at least two YouTube channels where he presented, promoted, and distributed cheat software for Fortnite. The boy himself was banned more than 12 times. The lawsuit arose after Epic Games wanted to remove a video from YouTube, against which the boy filed a complaint. According to Epic, they had no choice but to file a lawsuit if they wanted to take the video down.
Mother defends 14-year-old Fortnite cheater
How did the mother defend him? The mother of the defendant raised four points in a letter to the court to counter the lawsuit. Essentially, she argues that her son is only 14 and is being made a scapegoat. Epic also did not obtain the mother’s consent for the 14-year-old to play Fortnite at all. Furthermore, she claims that cheating did not cause any damage.
How did the court respond? The court interpreted the mother’s letter as a motion to dismiss. This necessitated a response from Epic.
How does Epic view this? Epic was forced to respond to the mother’s letter. This has now happened (the full text is available via Torrentfreak). In a statement, they contradict the mother. One argument is: “A minor cannot benefit from a contract and then terminate it by saying that he was too young to enter into it.” By continuing to play Fortnite, the boy cannot escape the contract.
Boy fights back against Epic, finds hacking to be “legally okay”
What does Epic want to achieve with the lawsuit? It seems that Epic is not aiming to profit from the lawsuits but to deter and make a statement. The other lawsuits against cheaters went relatively quietly – the mother of the accused did not file a motion to dismiss. Perhaps the mother did her son a disservice by seeking publicity.
However, it seems the son is not necessarily interested in a quiet resolution either. He could have accepted the removal of his videos. Even then, he reportedly appealed in videos. As Epic explains, the 14-year-old argued that his hacking was okay under “Fair Use.” Epic sees it differently.
The Classic Server of the MMORPG Echo of Soul is shutting down. This was announced by Aeria Games/Gamigo on the official website. What will happen to the Steam version of Echo of Soul?
We reported that the major Phoenix update of the MMO Echo of Soul did not have the desired effect and that the Steam version is struggling with a drastic decline in players. This is partly because the Steam version did not receive the Phoenix update, but Echo of Soul runs in the Phoenix version on its own server.
So those playing on Steam will see the Classic version. And this is now supposed to be completely shut down.
The End of the Classic Server
On the official website of Echo of Soul, Aeria Games explains that the gates of the EU and US servers of the Classic version will close on May 23.
The reasons include the difficult technical support of this older version and also the financial situation. Since so few players play Echo of Soul in the Classic version, it is no longer worthwhile to maintain the servers. Therefore, the operators advise players to switch to the Phoenix servers. Those who do will be able to look forward to a nice Welcome Package.
If you are among the affected players, then switch to the Phoenix servers Edun, Levina, or Aesir.
Most community members show little concern about this switch, as hardly anyone plays on the Classic servers anymore. Many have already switched to the new Phoenix servers. So far, there have been no reactions in the forum regarding the switch. If the numbers on Steamcharts are an indicator of how many people are playing Echo of Soul Classic, then this handful of players will likely be little bothered, but rather pleased to finally meet larger groups of players on the Phoenix servers.
What Will Happen to the Steam Version?
It is still somewhat unclear what will happen to the Steam version. This is based on the Classic version, which will be shut down on May 23. This will also make it impossible to play via Steam. Whether the Phoenix version will then find its way onto Steam is currently unknown.
With update 3.4, vending machines have been added to Fortnite: Battle Royale. At these machines, you can exchange resources for items. We will show you where you can find these machines all over the map, so a map of the spots, and which items you should buy.
Epic expands the map of Fortnite: Battle Royale with additional gameplay elements. You can now find vending machines that exchange a weapon or item for a certain amount of resources.
What you find in the vending machines is random and changes from round to round. The resource costs depend on the rarity of the item. You can purchase three items at each machine, one each with wood, stone, or metal:
Common items and weapons (gray) cost 100 resources
Uncommon items and weapons (green) cost 200 resources
Rare items and weapons (blue) cost 300 resources
Epic items and weapons (purple) cost 400 resources, and
legendary items (orange) will cost you 500 resources
Interesting: If you hit a machine with the pickaxe, it offers you the next item from its inventory.
There are a variety of machines to be found on the map – each has a different inventory. On the following map, you will find all currently known vending machines marked:
If you want to land specifically at a vending machine, you should choose locations that promise a lot of resources nearby. This way, you will find five machines around Wailing Woods that you can easily feed with wood from the forest.
Junk Junction is also a good target. After resource extraction, you will find three more machines around Pleasant Park where you can spend your metal from Junk Junction.
Avoid investing in white or green weapons. The material requirement is not proportional to the benefit of the items. Healing items can always be purchased if needed – reserve shield potions and medkits are always a good investment.
However, you should feel free to grab the rare weapons and the shotguns. A golden SCAR? Definitely take it, the chance is very low that you will find one during the game.
You should also always take rocket launchers of any rarity. If you enjoy playing with sniper rifles, you should grab those as well. However, you should not overdo it – two legendary rocket launchers may seem tempting, but if you run out of materials in the endgame, you have a serious problem. Because two rocket launchers won’t help you against a well-built fortress if you are standing there without protection.
No fortress without resources!
So only take what you really need, senseless resource waste will come back to haunt you in the endgame.
How do you find the vending machines? Have you already found a rare weapon?
The first closed PC beta of the new Free2Play MMO shooter Defiance 2050 has taken place. Among the testers was our author Leya, who could find little to appreciate in the remake of the MMO shooter.
Defiance was in 2013 the MMO shooter prior to Destiny, but it quickly vanished from the spotlight and ultimately lived a niche existence. A small group of players remained loyal to Defiance, but the game barely connected with mainstream gaming.
This was partly due to the fact that Defiance was released only on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Trion Worlds missed out on the next console generation and thus a broad audience. Shortly after the release of Defiance, Destiny took off on PS4 and Xbox One, since then Trion Worlds has likely been feeling: “We were ahead of our time.”
Defiance 2050 is now a remake of the futuristic MMO shooter and will also be released on PS4 and Xbox One. Last weekend (April 20 – 22), Trion Worlds held a closed PC beta for Defiance 2050, which I participated in. To be clear, I approached this beta untainted, as I never played the original Defiance.
Defiance 2050 clearly shows its age
Defiance 2050 is not a full sequel like Destiny 2. The remake mainly offers graphical improvements and some revisions to gameplay mechanics, such as the level system. So, anyone who has played Defiance will find little new here, but rather encounter a polish.
I could already tell in the tutorial that Defiance 2050 shows its age and I could see little of a modernized graphic. Defiance 2050 visually resembles typical Free2Play shooters like Warface or Ironsight. I had expected more after the announcement for a complete overhaul of the graphics and was disappointed by what I saw.
Sometimes a detailed mist cloud came toward me, revealing hints of better graphics. But in the next moment, I found myself again in front of a big splash of color that was supposed to represent a puddle.
As I never played the original Defiance, I couldn’t draw a comparison from personal experience and asked the internet. On Reddit, user “imathrowback” created a graphical comparison of the new and old Defiance. It shows that the graphical overhaul is barely noticeable. The characters may have gained slightly finer facial features, but overall, it still looks like the “old” Defiance. Several beta testers shared this opinion.
Here is (on the left) Defiance 2050 and (on the right) Defiance, the original.
However, the weird running animations were particularly noticeable, in which the characters squatted and seemed to simply throw their knees upwards.
Gameplay and abilities are standard
I can gladly overlook outdated graphics if at least the gameplay or story is engaging. In Defiance 2050, I play as an Ark Hunter, who possesses special abilities through an alien technology called EGO.
I have a skill tree that I can expand through my EGO level. The skills and improvements available to me here are standard. For example, there’s increased movement speed, improved shield and health regeneration, stealth, or increased firepower. The certain flair and innovation are lacking here.
The weapons can be improved and customized through modifications. Here, there are various options to add or remove mod slots. However, I must admit that I have not completely grasped the system here after my first playthrough.
The AI is dumb and consists of sponge-like targets
Even though the weapons and skills meet the standard, the gunplay and gameplay feel solid. The hit feedback seems right, and the hitboxes appear realistic. However, the sound of firearms was quite tinny and sounded anything but realistic.
Unfortunately, Defiance 2050 quickly became monotonous, especially due to the stupid sponge-like enemies. The enemies virtually soak up the bullets, and it can happen that an entire magazine is fired at one enemy. The AI feels more like a form of therapy, as it is predictable and does not offer interesting mechanics.
I was of course still at the beginning of the beta and cannot say if this changes significantly throughout the game.
A cool MMO feeling arises especially through live events, but …
Defiance 2050 is a shooter with a strong multiplayer focus, offering raids through Arkfall events. Red markers appear on the map in between, indicating a time-limited live event.
During these spontaneous events, all present players fight random enemies and receive extra loot for it. Players receive a vehicle early in the game, allowing them to quickly reach the events.
My hope was that at least these events would provide a change and create a cool MMO dynamic.
A red marker indicates live events where random enemies appear.
Indeed, during the events, I found a lot of players despite the closed beta, and the MMO feeling immediately emerged. But here, too, my problem with the AI re-emerged. More than just mindlessly shooting magazines into sponge-like enemies happened here.
Thus, both the campaign and events quickly bored me. A nice plus is that the campaign can also be played in co-op multiplayer right after the tutorial.
Defiance 2050 – Can it become something?
After spending a few hours in the beta of Defiance 2050, I quickly lost interest in the game. It simply appears outdated and lacking innovation in too many places. As a new player, the beta on PC did not convince me.
The changes advertised by Trion Worlds in Defiance 2050 seem to be limited, according to mmorpg.com even for fans of the original. It is said that the progression and inventory system have been noticeably adjusted. Instead of the EGO rank system, there is now a skill tree. Overall, progression and loot in Defiance 2050 are said to be more coherent than in the original. This aligns with the statements I found in various forums.
Players of the original Defiance will lose their character and inventory in Defiance 2050. However, since the content largely remains unchanged, these players will have to start from scratch and go through the same campaign again.
Defiance 2050 seems to be aimed primarily at new players of the current console generation on PS4 and Xbox One, for which the title has been optimized. The game is Free2Play, and there is hardly anything comparable in the sector. The MMO aspect already invites players to dive into raids together.
However, to keep players motivated in the long term, the enemies would need another overhaul. Because continually shooting at sponge-like targets will quickly become boring in the long run.
Did you also try the beta? I would be happy if you share your impressions of Defiance 2050 in the comments. Of course, I am also interested in what non-beta testers think.
Some heroes in Overwatch somehow don’t quite fit into the teams and rarely fulfill their role satisfactorily. One of these heroes is Symmetra, whom Blizzard is now reworking. Lead designer Geoff Goodman reveals what is about to happen.
The diversity of heroes and their uniqueness is what makes Overwatch the game it is. That some of these heroes are rarely played because they are simply “not good enough” has been a topic of discussion for some time now.
To counter this, constant changes are being made or heroes are undergoing a complete overhaul. Recently, a rework for the heroes Symmetra and Torbjörn was announced.
According to many players and the developers, the two heroes currently do not quite fit into their respective roles and require changes. At least for Symmetra, there is a specific change that is supposed to help her.
Lead designer Geoff Goodman recently provided insight into the development of Symmetra. In a post in the US forum, he describes how the development team tested the defenses of the defensive heroine.
According to Goodman, the team first played with a version of Symmetra where she was moved from her defensive role back to a healing role, and could actually heal. The healing came from her turrets.
However, this felt so uncomfortable that the idea was quickly scrapped. It simply did not fit into the fast action of Overwatch. Therefore, the team took another path, in which Symmetra should better fulfill her role as a defensive heroine.
In the current “gameplay” Symmetra no longer directly places her turrets on surfaces, but lets them float toward them. They then deploy on the first surface they hit, just as they do at the moment.
This is supposed to help Symmetra be playable in attack as well, as she can set up her positions from a distance. Additionally, it should allow her to position her turrets more easily and quickly in advance.
The Horde is evil! At least, that’s how it feels for many players in the beta of WoW: Battle for Azeroth. Game Director Ion Hazzikostas addressed this statement in the last developer Q&A.
The conflict between Horde and Alliance has existed since a time before World of Warcraft in books and other games. In Battle for Azeroth, it will be a central theme of the story. For players, this means a greater connection to their own faction once again.
This was reason enough for the player Pearbutter to ask a corresponding question during the last Q&A with the developers of World of Warcraft. He specifically refers to the intro quest of the beta of Battle for Azeroth.
In this, the Horde is portrayed as significantly darker than before – even from the perspective of Horde players. He worries whether the Horde might now actually become the “evil faction” that the Alliance has seen it as for a while.
Hazzikostas explains: There are only shades of gray
Ion Hazzikostas’ response to this can only be described as vague. He describes the Horde as a construct of too many facets to be summarized under a term like “good” or “evil”.
All the peoples of the faction represent something different, something unique. They all have their past, which makes the decisions of the peoples and the Horde appear in a different light – depending on the perspective from which they are viewed.
However, Azeroth is a world of gray, and has never been a world where there is only black and white. But both sides should be concerned about the development, and not just the Horde. When asked directly whether Sylvanas is making the Horde evil, he gives neither a yes nor a no.
Fortnite has teased another hero from the upcoming Season 4. Since the theme seems to be superheroes, it could possibly be Aquaman or Hawkeye. Or could it be Hanzo from Overwatch?
What’s currently happening? Since the Fortnite developers at Epic posted the first teaser for the upcoming 4th Season of the Battlepass on Twitter, new revelations have been following every day. The image with the comet tail contains more and more faces daily, resembling famous comic heroes.
Number 1 could be the Flash (he serves at least as a template – Epic style)
Now there has been another update of the image with a slightly less distinct face.
Who could it be?
What has happened now? In the latest teaser tweet from Epic Games, there is a very small cutout of an image showing a light-skinned guy with short spiky hair, a grim expression, a beard, and a scar over his eye. The message reads “Check every corner, box, and bush.”

Does it have to be a known hero? On the other hand, the new character could also be someone entirely different. Namely, a creation by Epic. This would fit with the latest leak about Season 4.
According to this, all heroes and villains from Season 4 would be original creations, and the map would constantly change.
PUBG Corp, the developers of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds have arrested 15 Chinese cheat providers. They face millions in US dollars in damages.
What’s going on: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is massively plagued by cheaters. A large part of the cheaters allegedly comes from China. There, cheating does not seem to be greatly condemned by many players. Therefore, even well-known companies like Dell advertise their hardware with the fact that a particularly large number of cheat plugins can run simultaneously.
However, the developers at Bluehole seem to be getting fed up with the cheaters and the providers of cheating software. In the past, there have already been arrests of cheaters, and now it continues.
15 alleged cheaters arrested
This is what happened: In cooperation with Bluehole, Chinese authorities arrested 15 alleged cheat developers on April 25, 2018. They now face a compensation payment of approximately 5.1 million US dollars (about 4.2 million euros). This impressive amount shows how much money the cheat developers probably earn with their cheating software.
The cheaters were duped themselves! Ironically, the customers of the cheat developers were duped themselves. The cheat software of the suspects was said to have contained a nasty trojan. User data of the cheaters was apparently read out and passed on. Likewise, a lucrative business.
No mercy for cheaters and cheat providers!
What’s next? In a statement, developer Bluehole reaffirmed that they will continue to pursue cheating and the development of such plugins with the utmost severity:
„We take cheating extremely seriously! The development, sale, promotion, and use of unauthorized hacking or cheating programs is not only unfair to many PUBG players. It is also against the law in many countries!”
Therefore, there will likely also be harsh measures against cheaters in the future.
The modder community in Final Fantasy XIV has grown significantly in recent months. It has gained popularity through the spread of screenshots on social media. However, Square Enix seems anything but happy about it, especially the nude mods disturb the developers.
Modding has become the norm in gaming for many titles nowadays. Games like Skyrim or Minecraft have huge communities that invest a lot of time and effort into producing high-quality mods.
Different companies and developers handle mods in various ways:
Some companies support mods and make them an integral part of the game like Studio Wildcard in ARK Survival Evolved.
In Final Fantasy XIV, modding was for a long time a “subculture” that most players were unaware of. However, in recent months, the modder community has seen massive growth.
The Internet is for Porn
The crucial reason why mods are thriving seems to be the “Nude Mods.” For months now, screenshots of naked or nearly naked Final Fantasy XIV characters have been circulating on social media, attracting a lot of attention.
This includes the usual mods for female characters with adjustable breast sizes. But that’s not all.
Alternatively, male characters can also drop all coverings. Even futanari fans will get their share, as modders have managed to attach penises to female characters.
The nude mods are certainly not the only ones available on the “market”. Many modders are also busy redesigning existing outfits or other items.
Oriental dress before and after modding
For example, transparent clothes, tattoos, or the removal of unwanted clothing items, as well as color changes of companions and pets, are popular.
However, there are also modders who deal with the technical aspects of the game and produce mods that enhance textures of hair or eyes.
Moreover, it also happens that modders gain access to items they are not supposed to have access to in the game.
This includes optional outfits from the Moogle Kiosk or those that are not yet accessible to anyone.
Since these items were implemented in the game a while ago, modders can find and “unlock” them for their characters, even if they do not have the permission to own them.
Like all other mods, however, the cosmetic items are only visible to the user.
First Trouble on the Horizon
The public distribution of screenshots of mods can also have consequences. A well-known FFXIV modder was allegedly warned by a GM (via Reddit).
He significantly contributed to the spread of mods in the community by posting screenshots of his character on Twitter.
The player was discovered because he included the link to his Twitter account in the search info of his character in the game. He posted screenshots of the conversation with the GM as evidence on his Twitter channel.
However, there is no concrete evidence that the screenshots of the conversation with the GM are actually real. Some users on Twitter and Reddit have claimed that the affected player faked the GM incident to gain attention.
The player himself insists that the screenshots are real and posted more that show his character in GM custody.
We have asked Square Enix whether this conversation actually took place. However, they informed us that SE cannot comment on the legitimacy of the screenshots as it would fall under customer information protection.
It would not be the first time that Square Enix has taken action against pornographic content originating from FFXIV. A precedent had already occurred a few months ago in the Japanese community.
At least 11 different players were contacted by the GM with a request to remove pornographic FFXIV content from their public social media channels that they had linked in their search info.
The Community Takes a Stand
The community’s reaction to the alleged warning is mixed. Some modders see themselves as victims and accuse SE of unfair treatment, while others say that the warned player is at fault for putting modding on display so openly everywhere despite breaking the rules.
The player “Kayoko Star” tweeted: “I am blown away that a SE GM decided to chase after a catgirl posting naked screenshots on Twitter instead of bots, RMTs, and hackers who are actually affecting the game.”
Regardless of how inconsistent SE is about handling punishment – it’s really dumb to knowingly break rules and then point fingers at other people who are “breaking worse rules and not getting in trouble”
The YouTuber Denmo McStronghuge, the player behind the FFXIV character Mr. Face, counters this by saying: “It is really dumb to deliberately break the rules and then point at others who are also ‘breaking the rules and not getting in trouble.'”
What impact this warning will have on the modding scene in FFXIV and whether more will follow cannot be said with certainty yet.
In May 2018, several promising multiplayer titles will be released for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Four upcoming releases appear particularly attractive and are worth taking a closer look at.
In April 2018, only a few new online titles captivated multiplayer enthusiasts to their screens, such as Tera (PS4, Xbox One) from developer Bluehole.
May has a lot to offer for multiplayer fans and can boast high-profile releases. With
Bless Online from Neowiz Games in May 2018 (PC on Steam),
Conan Exiles from Funcom on May 8 (PS4, Xbox One, PC),
State of Decay 2 from Undead Labs on May 22 (Xbox One, PC)
and Dark Souls Remastered from Bandai Namco on May 25 (PS4, Xbox One)
four promising games with multiplayer elements will be released.
What kind of games are they? And who might find them worthwhile?
Bless Online
What is Bless Online?Bless Online is one of the last truly big AAA MMORPGs. The story takes place in a fantasy world, with a strong Asian influence that cannot be overlooked.
What is it about? The story focuses on a lengthy war between two factions – the imperial Hieron in the north and the freedom-loving Union in the south. The Hieron seek to unite the entire nation under their banner. The Union strives for power and wants to usher in a new era.
Platform: PC (Steam) Release: Early Access inMay 2018 Publisher: Neowiz Games Business Model: Buy2Play Genre: MMORPG Comparable to: Black Desert
What’s included? The game world is divided into different zones. Players can choose the race and the class of their character. The race determines which faction they belong to. Players can participate in extensive PvP battles to improve their faction’s strength. Winning battles grants new quests and resources.
PvE fans will also have plenty to enjoy: besides the usual quests and the main story, Bless offers many dungeons, raids, and bosses. An extraordinary companion system rounds off the package.
Interesting: In May, Bless will start its Early Access phase on Steam. The interesting part: The developers do not view it as a test but more as a soft launch. Bless starts as Early Access on Steam and will then seamlessly transition into the release version. There will be no wipe.
What makes Bless Online special
A huge, open, and diverse world
Extensive PvP
A unique taming and companion system – almost every monster can be tamed and used as a companion or mount
Sandbox-like skill system that allows for various playstyles per class
For players who prefer to play alone, there are also solo dungeons available in PvE
Bless offers the following multiplayer elements
PvP: PvP plays a significant role in Bless. Players can compete in arenas, fight in various group sizes, or engage in massive 100 vs. 100 battles for their guild, where they can conquer zones and even entire castles.
The PvP battles represent one of the most important aspects of Bless and play out fairly balanced and tactically, due to the classic role distribution consisting of healer, tank, and damage dealer. By the way, Bless relies on open PvP between the two opposing factions – the servers are not separated by PvE and PvP.
PvE: In PvE, multiplayer fans will also find satisfaction. There will be raids for 10 players. After the launch, Bless will also have world bosses for 20 players and furthermore 40-player raids. Dungeons will be available for both the leveling phase and especially for the endgame.
How is the atmosphere around Bless?
The mood among fans is currently divided.
Pro: On one hand, many are excited for the release of the game on Steam. MMO veterans have been waiting for four years for a traditional AAA MMORPG. Bless comes just in time for many. Additionally, the Steam version of Bless will differ significantly from the Korean version.
The developers have done a great job and revised many aspects of the game compared to the original version. For instance, the gameplay flow and the combat and skill system have been significantly improved. The in-game shop has also been user-friendly redesigned.
Contra: On the other hand, the recent announcement from the developers that there will be no separate servers for PvE and PvP has shocked many PvE fans. When it became public that Bless will offer open PvP between the members of the opposing factions, criticism poured in.
Many players were disappointed that such a strong focus is placed on PvP. Many fans believe that PvP and PvE simply do not belong together. Many feel forced into something they do not actually want – even though there should be a (somewhat elaborate) way to avoid PvP.
Bless is ideal for…
Fans of classic MMORPGs and for all PvP enthusiasts who enjoy player combat in MMOs. If you like games like WoW, Black Desert, or Aion, desire a gigantic, diverse world, and are not deterred by open PvP, Bless will offer you plenty and you’ll likely be happy with the game.
What is Conan Exiles?Conan Exiles is a survival MMO for adults set in the desert Sword & Sorcery world of Conan the Barbarian.
What is it about? Your character is nailed to a cross for their crimes and left to die in the desert. There, you will be rescued by Conan himself and are then left to fend for yourself.
As a convicted outlaw, you find yourself in the desert and must fight for survival – whether alone or with friends. Along the way, you discover more of the world, enslave NPCs, and slaughter your way through dungeons.
Platform: PS4, Xbox One, PC Release: May 8, 2018 Publisher: Funcom Business Model: Buy2Play Genre: Open World Survival MMO Comparable to: Ark: Survival Evolved
What’s included? In Conan Exiles, the primary focus is on survival. You will traverse through deserts, snow, and swamps, build shelters and even entire cities, craft clothing and weapons, and fight against animals, monsters, or other players.
Interesting: Conan Exiles has already been in Early Access for over a year and is now officially released on May 8 for PC, Xbox, and PS4, shortly after its originally planned release date.
What makes Conan Exiles special
Exploring a huge, diverse world – wander through various landscapes and discover deep cave complexes, dark temples, and sunken cities.
A sophisticated building system – create castles, cities, and fortresses.
Professions and crafting – become a warrior, blacksmith, cook, or armorer.
Invasions – once you have settled permanently, the local population will see you as a threat and will want to take you down.
Religion – build temples and make sacrifices to your god to obtain unique advantages and even summon their avatars for battles.
Conan Exiles offers the following multiplayer elements
In the multiplayer of Conan Exiles, PvP and PvE are separated. In the game, you have the choice between:
PvP: If you opt for a PvP server, you can fight against up to 40 other players, completely destroy their shelters, cities, and fortresses, and even loot them. However, this depends on the established rules of the respective server. However, be careful – everything you build can also be destroyed by other players.
PvE: In the PvE mode, things are calmer. Here, players have to deal with adverse natural forces, hostile NPCs, and dangerous creatures that can be faced together without needing to fight one another.
How is the atmosphere around Conan Exiles?
The mood among Conan fans is currently quite positive. Since the beginning of the Early Access phase, a lot has changed. With updates, Conan Exiles has been consistently improved and generously expanded. It now gives a nearly complete and finished impression. Especially PS4 players are excited about the game, as there is no Early Access program there, and the official release presents them with their first chance to get involved.
Conan Exiles is ideal for …
an especially mature audience that does not settle for standard fantasy fare. Conan Exiles is rough and gritty, the game is bloody and does not shy away from nudity.
If you enjoy survival elements combined with a substantial dose of exploration and story, you won’t go wrong with Conan Exiles. Fans of Conan and dark Sword & Sorcery worlds will also find plenty to enjoy here.
However, the game primarily focuses on group and team players. If you are exploring the harsh world of Hyboria alone, you will quickly reach your limits and progress will be slow.
What is State of Decay 2? In State of Decay 2, players are presented with the sequel to the popular survival game State of Decay from 2013.
What is it about? Like in its predecessor, State of Decay 2 is about survival. The setting is set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. The few remaining humans are trying to survive and stay alive.
Platform: Xbox One, PC Release: May 22, 2018 Publisher: Microsoft Studios Business Model: Buy2Play Genre: Zombie Survival with Coop Multiplayer Comparable to: DayZ, 7 Days to Die
What’s included? Here, survival is clearly in focus – but not just your own. In State of Decay 2, the continuation of a community of survivors is placed in the hands of the players.
So players must take care not only of themselves but also of a group of computer-controlled characters. The survivors cluster together in a base. Players build and fortify this shared home.
Furthermore, players must keep an eye on resources, medicine, food, and water. The emotional state of the survivors also plays a vital role and must not be overlooked. Especially when it comes to important decisions, the balance in the group can tip quickly.
What makes State of Decay 2 special
Exciting group dynamics and management
Extensive task palette
Consequential decisions
Crafting and mod system for weapons
Permadeath as an additional incentive
Coop mode
State of Decay 2 offers the following multiplayer elements
State of Decay 2 brings a much-anticipated feature missing in the first part: the game will have a multiplayer mode for up to 4 players. However, this is limited to drop-in coop.
This means: if you or a friend need help, you can invite a friend or even random players into the ongoing session. However, State of Decay 2 does not offer a permanent shared experience, such as a coop campaign.
At least the helper can take any items they find back to their own game and should also receive additional bonuses. However, if you die in a coop session, your player character will also be lost in your own game.
How is the atmosphere around State of Decay 2?
The atmosphere surrounding the game is predominantly positive. The predecessor was very popular with players. Accordingly, many are looking forward to the second part of State of Decay.
However, opinions are currently divided over the coop mode. A large part of the fanbase can hardly wait to go zombie hunting with their friends. However, there are also critical voices criticizing that State of Decay 2 only offers a drop-in mode in coop and thus provides only limited coop experience.
State of Decay 2 is ideal for …
all players who enjoy sophisticated survival games and zombies. If you enjoy not only managing your own character but also the lives and needs of an entire group and making consequential decisions for them, then you will be well received in State of Decay 2.
If you also want to go on dangerous zombie hunts with your friends, you will also be well served.

What is Dark Souls Remastered? Dark Souls Remastered is a remake of one of the most influential role-playing games of recent years, which even established its own genre – the “Souls-Likes”.
However, Dark Souls Remastered remains Dark Souls. Most of the changes are purely cosmetic or practical and, in terms of gameplay experience, hardly make a difference.
What is it about? Dark Souls Remastered takes place like the original in the kingdom of Lordran, which is haunted by the curse of the undead. You start as an undead and must learn more about the curse as the story progresses.
Subsequently, you fight against powerful bosses to ultimately face Lord Gwyn in the finale. After his demise, you can crown yourself as the Lord of the Undead and usher in the Age of Darkness, or light the last bonfire and halt the curse of the undead.
Platform: PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC Release: May 25, 2018 (Nintendo Switch in Summer 2018) Publisher: Bandai Namco Games Business Model: Buy2Play Genre: Fantasy Hardcore RPG Comparable to: Bloodborne
What’s included? You fight through complex labyrinth levels and against challenging enemies, any of which could mean your death. Along the way, you collect various items in the classic manner or die trying.
Death often visits you and is a fundamental part of Souls games. What may deter others in different titles, many see as encouragement to work on their skills and improve.
What makes Dark Souls Remastered special
Original, unique Dark Souls experience including the DLC Artorias of the Abyss
Bone-crushing battles
Polished graphics
Improved PvP
Many quality of life changes
Dark Souls Remastered offers the following multiplayer elements
The multiplayer in Dark Souls Remastered features both PvP and coop elements.
PvP: The PvP in Dark Souls Remastered offers various modes. Among other things, you have the opportunity to infiltrate another player’s game in what is called an invasion, with the goal of killing them. The hunted person then receives a corresponding warning and can prepare for the battle, which ends with the death of one of the two warriors.
Additionally, there is an arena where you can now fight against up to 6 players. There is also the option to challenge players to a direct duel.
Coop: In the multiplayer of Dark Souls Remastered, you can play together with like-minded individuals using a special stone. This stone serves as a kind of signal in the ongoing sessions of other players when used.
You can either seek help for yourself or help others when they need support. However, this type of cooperation is not permanent and is basically intended to assist those seeking help in specific designated areas like boss fights.
You play together until either you defeat the boss of the respective section, or you or the partner dies.
How is the atmosphere around Dark Souls Remastered?
The atmosphere around the Remastered version is mixed. Many players are looking forward to this remake, as the first Dark Souls can finally be played on current platforms. Many are also pleased with the technical improvements and quality of life changes – even some longstanding players.
However, especially veterans lament some of the changes. They feel these ruin the original look and feel of the game. For some, the graphical changes simply went too far. Additionally, some fans’ words claim changes were introduced that were entirely unnecessary and that no one asked for.
Dark Souls Remastered is ideal for …
Fans of the Souls games and anyone looking for a brutal and unforgiving gaming experience in the RPG realm. If you are also stress-resistant and don’t let setbacks immediately take away your enjoyment, you will not only find it challenging to get through Dark Souls Remastered, but you will also have a lot of fun.
All those who have not played the title due to its age or current console hardware can now enjoy the unique Dark Souls experience in an improved look, including many meaningful upgrades on current platforms. But even veterans of the first hour will find the game in its remastered form well worth a second look.

What do you think of our selection? Is there something for you?
If you enjoy multiplayer but did not find anything new here, try a classic:
Currently, there are chaos days at the MMO studio Daybreak. However, they probably aren’t to blame for the alleged layoff of 70 people. It seems that the battle royale game H1Z1 is in a crisis. It is struggling against the competition from Fortnite and PUBG. The actual zombie MMO “Just Survive” is virtually dead.
Chaos days at Daybreak. We reported on the strange goings-on at the MMO studio Daybreak: Allegedly, Daybreak is said to indirectly belong to a Russian oligarch, whose accounts and companies have been frozen in the USA. Therefore, Daybreak is supposed to be in a crisis.
However, they stated: No, we do not belong to him. That’s just a misunderstanding. We issued incorrect press releases three years ago, and we actually belong to a private individual who worked for this company back then, which is now in trouble.
Adventurous story may be true: The story has now taken another turn. Apparently, the complex involving the “Russian oligarch” and the “Who actually owns Daybreak?” stuff was indeed as Daybreak has depicted.
This story is said to be true, even if it sounded adventurous. “Trustworthy sources” have confirmed this to the site MassivelyOp.
But Daybreak is indeed in a crisis, and employees have been laid off.
Source says: The entire team of “Just Survive” has been laid off
70 people laid off – “Just Survive” dead: The MMO site MassivelyOp has spoken with additional sources. It seems that among the 70 employees who were allegedly laid off, is the entire team of “Just Survive.” That was the original H1Z1, a zombie survival MMO that has been stuck in early access forever.
Players should not expect any more updates for “Just Survive” in the future.
The 70 employees being laid off come from all corners of the studio. The layoffs had been planned for some time. The layoffs are primarily said to be due to the battle royale shooter H1Z1: King of the Kill, which had performed excellently for years, now performing poorly.
H1Z1 – overtaken by time
The rise and fall of H1Z1: H1Z1 was introduced as “survival MMO with zombies” in 2014.
In 2015, the then head of the studio, John Smedley, had a “battle royale” mode built, clearly aimed at esports and Twitch. The battle royale mode quickly outpaced the MMO part of H1Z1 and was later separated. Smedley had specifically enlisted the help of Brendan Greene, known as “PlayerUnknown”, who is considered the creator of the battle royale mode.
H1Z1 captured the zeitgeist and celebrated significant success as a battle royale title on Steam and Twitch in the second half of 2016 and the first half of 2017.
Even though H1Z1 seems to be at its end, it is officially just at the beginning: Because H1Z1 was only recently released as a free-to-play title. H1Z1 aims to come to PlayStation 4 in May. As a special feature, “Auto Battle Royale” has been announced.
Many Alliance players wish for High Elves as a playable race in World of Warcraft. But that will likely remain a dream.
When the Allied Races were announced as one of the major features of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, the excitement was high. Particularly, Alliance players hoped that a long-awaited dream could finally come true: playable High Elves.
With the announcement of Void Elves, that hope was diminished. Because “somehow” Void Elves are High Elves, but then again, not really. With the sickly skin and duller eye color, as well as the rather “dark” character options and questionable lore, many players feel disappointed.
Therefore, during the Q&A with Game Director Ion Hazzikostas, the question arose again whether High Elves would be a playable race for Alliance players.
Once again, the hopes of the Alliance were dashed.
High Elves do exist – but only with the Horde
The final (and rather jokingly intended) response from Hazzikostas on this topic:
“If you want to play High Elves but don’t like Void Elves – then the Horde is for you.”
He referred to the idea that you should simply create a Blood Elf instead.
However, Hazzikostas also mentioned good reasons why High Elves are currently not considered as a playable race. There are simply very few High Elves who belong to the Alliance – while there are a few, such as in Dalaran or Stormwind, the population is small.
Furthermore, High Elves would blur the line between the two factions for the Alliance – with Void Elves, that is not the case, as they clearly differ visually from Blood Elves.
Would you like to play High Elves? What do you think of the WoW Director’s response?
Why can’t Bungie just apologize for Destiny 2? Recently, Bungie seems to be significantly more humble, but fans will probably wait in vain for an apology, according to our author Schuhmann.
Destiny 2 before the release: At the beginning, when Bungie announced Destiny 2, the developers and the community were still quite on the same wavelength:
Bungie talked and presented Destiny 2
The Guardians listened and wanted to know more about Destiny 2
It quickly became clear that Destiny 2 would not meet the high expectations.
The 3 major PR fails of Destiny 2 regarding the hard reset
Why is there Destiny 2 again? In the PR for Destiny 2, Bungie made some serious mistakes. It was stated that “in the logic of the game” a Destiny 2 was necessary for a fresh start for all players because
Guardians lose their light – they get it back within an hour
The Tower, the home of the Guardians, is destroyed – Destiny 2 provides them with a new Tower at the end of the campaign
and the Guardians lose all their possessions – they will receive them back during Destiny 2 because Bungie constantly recycles items from Destiny 1
In addition, there were several other difficulties that we have reported on frequently: PvP was trimmed to be eSport, the grind was removed, the weapon slot system was changed.
As the months went by, a gap widened:
On one side frustrated fans wanting an explanation
On the other side a developer and publisher for whom everything continued to go “awesome”.
Bungie missed early opportunities to admit problems
September, November 2017 – everything is going according to plan: At Bungie’s first opportunity to express themselves about the difficulties after the launch, fans rubbed their eyes. Instead of making any concessions, “Yes, that didn’t go so well, we’re sorry” – Bungie’s PR team went through their program at Twitchcon and presented the seasons, which mainly consisted of cosmetics for the cash shop.
It became clear: Nothing will happen until the PC port is out.
This further intensified the conflict with the fans. The situation escalated when Bungie wanted to present the first DLC in three live streams. Everything continued to go according to plan for Bungie while fans took to the barricades.
In November, they almost said “Sorry”
November, December 2017: At Bungie, the great “Almost, but not quite” apology tour began.
The tactic was to admit 2 mistakes now:
Yes, we read a lot of criticism and we agree that we could communicate better – Translated: So we are doing the right thing, we just aren’t telling you
We agree that Destiny 2 should be more of a hobby – Translated: Actually, we have a great game, just not right now for those who are complaining here
The two statements continued through the next months of communication. Actually, everything from November to April boiled down to one of the two statements. Over the months, it was also added:
We need more hero moments in PvP. Destiny is better when things are out of control
And “Exotic weapons should feel exotic again”
From publisher Activision there were similar signals. Generally crazy success messages with the catch: “There is a lot of feedback coming in, but we are working on it.”
Fans want an apology
Where is the apology? What fans have missed over all these months is a clear acknowledgment: “That was nothing.”
Because such a thing is lacking, the mood was tense for months. Especially Game Director Luke Smith felt the repercussions. As he was the frontman of the Destiny 2 PR campaign, fans expect an apology from him.
Bungie, do it like The Division: Players repeatedly demand a “The Division” moment. In August 2016, the team of Ubisoft’s shooter admitted: “Our game isn’t fun.”
Bungie is also trying a similar restructuring, but from the fans’ perspective, they still seem to be avoiding an apology. However, a visible change is taking place.
Bungie now more humble
April 2018 – you can feel the change: If you followed the Destiny stream for the new DLC Warmind, Bungie seems significantly more humble than before. Instead of three elongated streams for the new DLC, there was only one stream – but it was packed with information.
They now refrain from superlatives. In November, Community Manager DeeJ had ridiculed himself in front of the Destiny veterans by promising outrageous rewards – the best of all time. What came was probably recorded in the history books. Instead of a chest, there were actually two chests containing “two tokens and a blue”. This became the hashtag on Twitter. The stream at that time marked the low point for Destiny.
Today, they keep it low-key. They emphasize repeatedly: “We listened to player feedback.”
So it appears that a change is indeed taking place at Bungie. However, it is unlikely that there will be an apology.
“No one is to blame”
Who is supposed to apologize? When it comes to the background of Destiny 2’s development, the conclusion is drawn that apparently no one feels guilty for what they have presented to the players:
When a fan spoke with Bungie employees, he reported that many of the developers were also dissatisfied with the game, but repeatedly the justification heard was “There was too little time, we just weren’t able to finish.”
The head of the game, Luke Smith, whom fans would like to see crawling to Canossa, was probably only appointed to his position late after a reboot. Smith could no longer enforce his visions. Furthermore, Smith has again withdrawn from the public eye as scheduled – but not out of cowardice. He did the same after The Taken King when fans still loved him.
Why is there no apology? When looking for culprits, at Bungie, one finds no one except two empty exec chairs. There are two departures of key figures that became known:
Also, the story chief CJ Cowan left in April 2016. He presumably held the position before Smith in Destiny 2’s leadership.
There are no insights into why the two left Bungie. No statements are expected from them either.
Bungie’s studio discipline is well-known: Very little gets out. The last “leaks” regarding studio internals are years old.
If one seeks the actual guilty party, they will probably end up with the exaggerated schedule for the Destiny franchise that Activision and Bungie established in 2010: Every odd year two DLCs and a major expansion. Every even year two DLCs and a new game. And this continuously over a period of 10 years.
If Bungie wants to cite this master plan as an excuse, the fingers will likely inevitably point to their own executives and the bosses at Activision.
Therefore, it is unlikely that there will be an apology in the future, but hopefully a change.
FIFA 18 is approaching its final stages, and thus the speculation for FIFA 19 begins. But how likely is it that EA fulfills the fans’ wishes?
Every FIFA year, the community loses interest in the current installment of the series at the latest after the “Team of the Season”. The next FIFA installment comes into focus!
As no FIFA game is perfect, every year requests for changes and innovations arise. What does the community want most for FIFA 19 and how likely is the implementation of these wishes? We provide an overview.
1) Licenses: The Champions League and new leagues
Current situation: Devoted PES fans must now brace themselves, as Konami and UEFA are parting ways for the next season. “Pro Evolution Soccer” is losing the license for the Champions League.
For FIFA fans, this can only mean good news. If EA has the chance to snag the rights for the premier league from their competitor, one can assume they will try to do so.
According to the financial report from February, EA is already on the search for new licenses. Regardless of whether they snatch the Champions League, there will definitely be new leagues again.
This is what fans want: The leagues from the east are the most in demand. This is also confirmed by the fan survey on fifplay.com.
Leading the pack are the UAE League (Arab League) and the Chinese Super League, followed by the Turkish TFF 1. Lig (Second Turkish League). The Champions League would of course be the absolute highlight.
Our assessment: We will definitely see new leagues. It can be strongly assumed that EA will secure the Champions League for FIFA 19. Career fans can therefore rejoice!
The current situation: Currently, there are no weather changes during the game in FIFA. If it rains at the beginning of the match, it will rain continuously.
For some time now, there have been rumors that dynamic weather might be featured in FIFA 19 with the Frostbite engine. This means: One moment the sun is shining, the next it’s pouring rain, and players are slipping.
This is what fans want: While this is a cool change for more realism in career mode, it can lead to frustration and broken controllers in FUT. The community is therefore divided on this request.
Our assessment: The arrival of dynamic weather is not so unlikely. There are relatively many sites that regularly speculate about a supposedly developing weather system.
3) FUT: The “Pack Fillers”: Fitness and Contracts
The problem: For years, EA has insisted on fitness cards and player contracts in Ultimate Team. This has long been outdated and is usually more annoying than challenging.
Player contracts and fitness cards are pure “pack fillers”. The game mode would function just as well without fitness and expired contracts. FUT players are anyway showered with contracts, and fitness unnecessarily consumes coins. So for players on a tight budget, the use of a “fitness team” remains the only option.
This is what fans want: To abolish the pack fillers! Instead, more players should be included in sets, or the drop rate for expensive consumable items like Hunter or Shadow chemistry styles should be increased.
This is what a large portion of FUT Clubs looks like due to the pack flood.
Our assessment: Even if hardly any player would miss the two consumable items, for EA, they are a cheap way to fill their packs with relatively worthless cards and remove coins from the game. Therefore, it is rather unlikely that player fitness and contracts will disappear in FIFA 19.
The problem: Even though player cards are fortunately no longer tied to formations, player and team chemistry still exist and cause discontent among many fans. Chemistry is supposed to ensure that players cannot build a completely mixed team and pay attention to the correct positions of the players. However, there are some errors in the system:
For example, one can easily convert an Edin Dzeko (ST) to a CDM with position cards and play him at full chemistry. Meanwhile, the gold card of Marko Reus (LM) hardly gets any chemistry if one wants to integrate him as a CAM in their team, even though he often fills this position at Dortmund.
This is what fans want: Many FUT players currently trick the system: They convert player positions and start with a formation that allows them to get all players on full chemistry. Just before kick-off, they then go into the pause menu and change the formation. This way, they play with their favorite formation and players without suffering chemistry losses.
Rui Costa as a CDM, Leon Goretzka as a striker – wrong positions are often seen before the start of the match.
It would be easier, however, to revise the system so that such trickery is no longer necessary. Let’s actually build our own ultimate team in the “Ultimate Team” mode!
Our assessment: A change to the chemistry system is a significant step and requires much consideration. Moreover, many players enjoy tinkering with formations and finding the optimal chemistry. We do not believe that EA will change the existing system significantly in FIFA 19.
5) We want statistics!
The problem: Both FUT and the career mode are affected: There are almost no statistics available.
In FUT, one only sees the goals, assists, and cards of their player cards. In manager mode, there may be more statistics, but everything resets to zero across seasons.
This is what fans want: Football is a sport where statistics play a significant role. How many minutes does Salah need for a goal involvement? When did Lionel Messi score his 500th goal?
In Ultimate Team, fans want much more data about their player cards: pass success rate, goals per body part, minutes played, duels won: This and more would provide the owner insight into their players’ strengths.
In career mode, fans additionally wish for more statistics, especially cross-season data. After all, one wants to see what a youth player, whom they raised at 16, has achieved by the end of their career.
Our assessment: It doesn’t sound particularly complex to store and make accessible the data that EA collects during the games for a long time. However, there has been hardly any change to the statistics in recent years. We see this change as unlikely in FIFA 19.
6) More focus on career and Pro Clubs!
The problem: EA’s focus is now only on Ultimate Team. Of course, this mode is a cash cow and is the most popular among players. But new features for the career mode and “Pro Clubs” are no longer coming, and if they do, they are only cosmetic or do not change much about the dynamics of the mode.
This is what fans want: Comprehensive innovations in career and Pro Clubs, as seen in FUT! Especially in the still widely played career mode, there is tremendous potential. Many players wish for an online or at least a co-op career mode. Youth leagues or smarter AI concerning transfers are also highly sought after.
Our assessment: Although there are still many loyal fans of the “classic” FIFA modes, Ultimate Team makes EA the most money through microtransactions by far. We do not believe that we will see major innovations – at most, small features like the negotiation sequences from last year.
Current situation: While the last FIFA Street installment was released in 2012, the indoor mode was only present in FIFA 97 and 98. Since then, there has been no way for soccer fans to play fast-paced football with an arcade focus.
This is what fans want: Every year the indoor game or a street mode tops the wish list of FIFA fans. But why is that?
In the faster modes, which are played in smaller teams and have walls, different things come into play. Less build-up play and more dribbling, tricks, and quick passes are required. For FIFA veterans, this is a welcome change to the gameplay, which can become monotonous over time.
Our assessment: After “The Journey” two years ago, it’s time for another innovation – why not an indoor or street mode in FIFA 19? EA was already asked about this last year. The response to Dream Team was: Yes, we are aware that many want this, but it is not an easy undertaking. However, we are considering reintegrating such a mode in the future.
The problem: The gameplay in FIFA 18 is not bad, especially in comparison to earlier installments. There have always been mechanics that were overpowered: High through passes (FIFA 13), crosses (FIFA 14), or the L2-R2 dribbling (FIFA 17).
Nevertheless, fans are criticizing many aspects this year as well. Pace is (as always) too important, tight formations are too strong, the driven shot is too precise, the list goes on.
This is what fans want: Many players found the first version of FIFA 18 the best; afterwards, the patches just made everything worse. Back then, defending was significantly more challenging because passive closing down with a second player was less effective.
Many fans would likely be satisfied if the game mechanics were balanced, and the gameplay overall felt less “scripted”. Who doesn’t know the situations where no pass reaches its target, and one concedes the equalizer in injury time due to a deflection. The belief in momentum in the FIFA series persists.
Our assessment: EA needs to take action for FIFA 19. Too many eSports players have expressed their dissatisfaction with the gameplay, stating it is too sluggish and uncontrollable. We believe that we will see some changes in gameplay. Whether they will be effective remains to be seen.
The problem: The Weekend League is a good concept, but the implementation could be significantly better. 40 games (25 on PC) in one weekend take a lot of time and even more nerves. Added to that are opaque matchmaking and plenty of server issues.
This is what fans want: A very important wish is to not limit the Weekend League to weekends. Additionally, there should not be a fixed number of games so that game strength, not just stamina in front of the console, is rewarded.
A ladder system similar to League of Legends could be conceivable. The FIFA-ESL qualification works this way as well. If one wins against a well-ranked player, they earn more points than with a win against a weaker player.
Our assessment: An overhaul of the Weekend League is quite possible in its third year. Probably not directly with a different system, but there could be a reduction in the number of games or an extension of the timeframe. The latter would also relieve the servers on weekends.
What do you wish for the most?
Every player has different wishes; some want licenses, atmosphere and realism, others want more and especially more thought-out game modes.
Which of the mentioned innovations do you wish for the most? If we forgot anything, let us know in the comments!

In Fortnite, a player has predicted the superhero theme for Season 4. They are now speaking out with a leak, explaining how the map of Fortnite: Battle Royale is supposed to change: Allegedly, something will happen on the map every week.
Leaks and speculations about Fortnite frequently appear on the internet platform Reddit. Often, they are fan concepts or simply speculations about what Epic should change, which users add credibility to by saying: This is really true.
On April 23, there was once again such a post. The user internetadam made some statements claiming that Season 4 had the theme “Superheroes.”
Many thought that was nonsense at the time. Players speculated for a long time that aliens or dinosaurs were the theme of Season 4.
Fortnite Leak: Meteor hits Dusty Depot, the map changes every week
Now, the user with suddenly increased credibility speaks out again and predicts the following things for Season 4 in Fortnite:
The Meteor will hit Dusty Depot – and not Tilted Towers. Epic believes this area of the map has needed an update for a long time.
The map of Fortnite: Battle Royale will constantly change. Epic will update it every week of Season 4. Epic thinks it would be a waste to blow up Tilted Towers all at once. They would rather demolish it step by step – with bulldozers one week and cranes the next. Building by building, Tilted Towers will be torn down.
By the end of Season 4, Mosty Moire will be gone.
The theme of the Battle Pass for Season 4 in Fortnite is Superheroes. There will be at least 2 superhero and 2 supervillain skins. They will neither come from Marvel nor DC. Epic will simply use their own characters.
Even though the user was right about superheroes 5 days ago, these are still unconfirmed rumors that may not be true. The user does not indicate where he got this information from.
In The Division today, on April 28th, is the big vendor reset. These items are particularly worthwhile.
With some delta issues in The Division, on April 23rd, the 5th global event “Blackout” started. The event has since been extended and runs now until May 7th. Blackout allows you to knock out your enemies in the style of Thor: You attack your enemies with shocking ammunition.
During your excursions through Manhattan, you can take a look at the vendors’ offers, which change every week overnight from Friday to Saturday. These are our recommendations for the vendor reset on April 28th in The Division.
Recommended Weapons since April 28th
Special Equipment Vendor: Liberator with Capable, Destructive, and Receptive. Has a high Gear Score (276) and good talents. Depending on your needs, you should replace Capable with Destructive for PvE or Vengeful for PvP.
Special Equipment Vendor: Pakhan with Gifted and Destructive. Strong weapon in PvE and has a high Gear Score of 280. Replace Gifted with talents like Precision and Destructive.
Camp Clinton: Liberator with Talented, Receptive, and Vengeful. Again a Liberator, with a high GS of 283. It also comes with strong talents that are particularly useful for PvP action. You could replace Talented with more Aggressive talents like Deadly or Malevolent.
Camp Clinton: MP5 N – Navy version with Deadly, Brutal, and Malevolent. Strong submachine gun with good talents. Malevolent in the third talent slot is very valuable, thus it is particularly recommended for PvE activities. Instead of Brutal, you should focus on talents like Receptive or Destructive. It comes with a GS of 280, rounding it off nicely.
Wolves Den: M4 – Light version with Gifted, Prepared, and Destructive. The M4 is already a strong weapon by itself, and these talents are suitable for PvP builds focusing on critical hits. The Predator benefits particularly from the Prepared/Destructive combination. Gifted should give way to talents like Receptive or Deadly. With the high GS of 281, you save a lot of Div-Tech.
The Mods after the Vendor Reset

Now PUBG and Fortnite can pack their bags. Because Nexon is adding a Battle Royale mode to the cute MMORPG MapleStory 2!
The new mode of Maple Story 2 is not called Battle Royale, but it goes by the catchy name “Mush King Championship.” This was announced by the developers during a live stream, where the first gameplay scenes were also shown.
Battle Royale in a cute style
The mode operates essentially just like Battle Royale:
50 players are in a game area
Everyone fights everyone
In the end, the last survivor wins
All of this happens in the fun and colorful anime style of the MMO
Currently, it is unclear whether this game mode will also make it into the version of MapleStory 2 for Europe and North America. Or will the Mush King Championship be introduced first in the Korean version and then made available here later with an update? The publisher still needs to comment on this.

What is the “Team of the Season” exactly?
The “Team of the Season” (TDS) – better known as the “Team of the Season” (TOTS) – is for most FIFA gamers the biggest event in Ultimate Team. Many players receive a highly upgraded, blue special card during this time.
Over 200 player cards are likely to receive a TOTS version in FUT 18. The reason is that many teams are released, each containing 23 players – while in the “Team of the Year” (TOTY), there is only one 11-man selection.
The ratings of the players usually increase by 5 to 9 points – for the top stars of the major leagues, it can lead to ratings in the high 90s. The basis for the selection is performance during the 2017/2018 season – while for the TOTY, the entire calendar year 2017 was taken into account for evaluation.
Otherwise, the TOTS cards behave like informs: If you don’t want to wait until you draw a card from packs, you can purchase them on the transfer market. The normal gold versions of the players are not available for drawing during this time.
Everything about the Team of the Season can be found in our large TOTS overview.
