Since the Destiny 2 expansion Forsaken, new exotic items have become scarce. Therefore, Guardians have compiled exotic armors from year 1 for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks. These are the best exotic armors that Guardians already have and that can still make an impact in Forsaken.
Forsaken has made exotics in Destiny 2 rarer again. This is a circumstance that not all players are happy with, as many have not seen any exotic items since the release of the expansion.
The community in the Destiny subreddit has therefore compiled some Year 1 items that harmonize with the new class abilities. Particularly Titans and Hunters will greatly benefit.
Old Items for New Abilities
What is the problem? With the first major expansion Forsaken, Bungie has significantly tweaked the drop rate of exotic items. Exotics are meant to be a rarity, rewarding players.
So far, Xur has not had anything new for the players. The new exotics from the expansion are said to be brought by the old Spaghetti face at a later time.
No Gear for New Abilities: Since Forsaken has also introduced nine new ability trees for the classes, some players are particularly disappointed. For example, they play Spectral Blades Hunters or Chaos Reach, the new Arc tree of the Warlocks, but have not yet obtained the new exotic armor pieces tailored to these abilities.
For this reason, the community in the Destiny subreddit has come together and made a few recommendations for Year 1 exotics. Hunters and Titans are particularly fortunate here, as they have the largest selection of “old” gear pieces.

The Best Year 1 Armor for Titans
Titans are lucky here: The community has already found exotic armor pieces for all new class paths. Solar, Void, and Arc Titans should all find something for themselves.
Insurmountable Skullfort
With the Insurmountable Skullfort, Arc Titans become true kung fu monsters in PvP. Through the perk Transfusion Matrix, kills with Arc melee abilities trigger health regeneration and also restore melee energy.
Since the class shoulder charge is a one-hit kill with the expansion, Titans receive nearly unlimited melee energy. This makes the helmet a good all-rounder for all Arc Titans and was already incredibly strong before Forsaken.
Dunemarchers
The perk Linear Actuators allows Titans with these stylish boots to run faster. Sprints also build up a static charge. After a melee attack on an enemy, this charge causes a damage chain to nearby foes.
Players recommend the boots for the new Titan paths Code of the Devastator and Code of the Missile.
Code of the Devastator allows the Solar Titan to throw hammers with his melee attack, which remain in the world and can be picked up again. When the hammer is picked up again, the Titan immediately receives all melee energy back and regenerates life.
With the Dunemarchers, the Titan’s melee hammers also receive the damage chain and can therefore deal enormous damage to large groups of enemies repeatedly. In the community, this combo is already referred to as “Thor”, like the hammer-throwing god.
With Code of the Missile, the Titan can perform his melee attack in the air to strike down and trigger something like a mini chaos fist. This attack regenerates some super energy. With the Dunemarchers, the “Ballistic Impact” also benefits from the damage chains and wipes out entire groups of enemies – or Guardians.
Doom Fang Pauldron
These gloves benefit Void Titans and especially the new Path Code of the Commander. Melee attacks from this talent tree not only trigger explosions but also attach detonators to enemies. When these explode, further detonators are attached to all remaining enemies within a radius.
The Doom Fang Pauldron charges super energy through the perk Doom Horns with Void melee kills. In addition, melee kills while Sentinel Shield is active charge Shield Throw, extending your super with hits.
According to players, with the right timing, one can generate nearly unlimited super energy.
