The support in the Horde for Sylvanas is dwindling. Her latest actions in Patch 8.1 of World of Warcraft are causing the first protests from other characters.
In the upcoming update for World of Warcraft, Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance, Sylvanas’ methods become increasingly drastic. Gradually, her support in the Horde dwindles. We reveal what she is up to and how the Horde reacts.
Spoiler Warning: This discusses content from the ongoing War Campaign in Patch 8.1. You have been warned.
Even though not all quests are playable on the PTR yet, dataminers have already extracted a lot of data and could clearly assign some statements to different characters. From this, it can also be inferred what Sylvanas is doing in Patch 8.1 – and how her allies react.
Derek Proudmoore is revived: As hinted in the original War Campaign, Sylvanas is now conducting the resurrection of Derek Proudmoore – the long-lost brother of Jaina. Baine Bloodhoof is furious about this, leading to the following dialogue:
Baine: “Sylvanas! What reasons could you possibly have for this madness?” Sylvanas: “Derek Proudmoore was a hero of Kul Tiras. And as soon as his mind is properly conditioned, we will allow the Proudmoores to retrieve their long-lost prince …” Baine: “This has gone too far!” Sylvanas: “They will surely attempt a rescue when they learn of his fate … so he can then slaughter them in their sleep.” Baine: “How many more times must we forsake our honor?” Sylvanas: “For us, there is only victory or death, Baine. And I will master death.”
Baine plans the resistance: Especially Baine seems to be struggling more and more with Sylvanas’ methods of war. He even tells the player that he no longer intends to passively observe the actions of the Banshee Queen – even though he does not openly act hostile.
“I can’t stand this, Champion. Every time I think Sylvanas has gone too far, she finds a new boundary to cross. I have merely watched her commit dishonorable act after dishonorable act. She desecrates more than just the memory of a fallen enemy. She desecrates the entire Horde. This cannot continue. Something must be done. And soon.”
The Nightborne are not too thrilled.
Doubts among the allies: Other major characters in the Horde are also becoming skeptical, but are not as openly against Sylvanas’ actions as Baine is. The Nightborne Valtrois sees parallels between Sylvanas and the suffering she endured under the Legion, but does not speak out against it. Princess Talanji compares the resurrection of Derek to the resurrection of Rezan, carried out by Zul. She also does not seem particularly thrilled.
Slowly but surely, resistance is rising in the Horde against Sylvanas. Whether this will lead to an open uprising or if Sylvanas will deviate from her actual plan to avoid losing the support of the other races remains to be seen.
In line with the Halloween event, there is a special emote in Destiny 2 that lets you dance like a famous horror clown.
The clown Pennywise from Stephen King’s famous horror thriller “IT” is one of the most well-known horror characters ever. So it is not surprising that IT is often a model for numerous costumes and masks, especially around Halloween. Now there is also an emote in Destiny 2 that is inspired by the horror clown.
The Pennywise Dance in Destiny 2 – Here’s how to get it
Here’s how to dance like Pennywise from Stephen King’s “IT”: In line with the Halloween event Festival of the Lost, guardians in Destiny 2 can now also emulate Pennywise with a new emote.
The exotic emote is called the Jester Dance and makes your guardian dance like the clown in the film “IT” from 2017. The similarities are hard to miss.
Here’s how to get the Jester Dance: Just like the Iron Banner emote “Salute to the Lords” this emote is apparently exclusively available through the in-game shop Eververse – and only for real money.
It is an exclusive part of the Naughty Bundle, which came with event-exclusive rewards for the Festival of the Lost and costs approximately €9.99 (1,100 Silver). A purchase with Glimmer is not possible. The emote does not appear anywhere outside of the bundle.
So if you want to become the horror clown during the Halloween event, it seems you have no choice but to reach into your wallet.
Here’s what the fans say about the emote: While there was considerable discontent on Reddit regarding the Iron Banner emote, which could only be purchased with real money, things are relatively calm with the Pennywise dance.
While there are still some voices expressing annoyance about the real-money option, many fans are taking it more lightly this time. After all, the emote is purely optional and no one is forced to buy it.
Many are simply happy about this cool emote. Some even say it’s the first time they’re willing to spend real money in Eververse.
By the way: Tomorrow a new quest will start at the Festival of the Lost, which will likely lead guardians back to the Cosmodrome and possibly reward them with the first Heavy Machine Gun in Destiny 2.
What do you think of the Jester Dance? Is such a cosmetic worth €10 for you? Or do you generally not spend money in Eververse?

Since the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the flashbangs 9-Bangs have caused a lot of frustration and anger – especially in connection with the specialist Ajax. Even after their partial nerf, they still drive many fans insane.
The flashbangs are called 9-Bangs in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. They are used to blind, stun, and incapacitate opponents simultaneously in the traditional multiplayer and in the battle royale mode Blackout. However, according to fans, the developers may have gone a bit overboard with their implementation.
The 9-Bangs – Nerfed in Blackout but still too powerful
This is the problem with the 9-Bangs in Black Ops 4: In Blackout, as well as in traditional multiplayer, the 9-Bangs flashbang is extremely powerful. It can be charged in multiple stages, thereby increasing its effect even further.
The grenade takes away the visibility of its target and disorients it. Additionally, during the effect, one cannot lie down or crouch, and normal movements are very restricted. Healing is also not possible during this time.
If you get caught, you have no choice but to helplessly wait until the effect wears off. It feels like 9 out of 10 times you die during this. Because the character stands there as if on display. The tactical mask helps a bit, but provides no guarantee of survival.
Many players are annoyed – Reddit is full of posts demanding a nerf or even the complete removal of this grenade from the game. Especially in Blackout, where you only have one life, the flashbang is disproportionately strong.
This is how the developers are responding: Treyarch has heard the calls from the community. They have weakened the flashbangs in an update, but only in the Blackout mode. The following changes have been made to the 9-Bangs:
The flashbang can no longer be stacked in an inventory slot. One grenade now takes up one inventory slot.
The charging time has been increased.
After throwing, the 9-Bangs now detonates a bit later.
In traditional multiplayer, the 9-Bangs are a specialist ability of Ajax and are firmly tied to this character. Their effectiveness has not been changed there.
This is how the fans are reacting: The fans are still annoyed by the flashbang in Black Ops 4. The nerf of the 9-Bangs in Blackout mode hasn’t really changed anything. Because basically nothing has changed about the effectiveness of this grenade.
Many fans would prefer to see the intensity of the stun effect or its duration reduced. In its current state, even one grenade from it is still too much.
In traditional multiplayer, Ajax’s specialist ability continues to cause a lot of frustration. Paired with the “impenetrable ballistic shield,” it is particularly strong. Little chance against it unless you are in a well-coordinated team. And even then, one usually has to sacrifice themselves.
This specialist combo is considered by many fans to be one of the most annoying things in the entire game. The best strategy to counter this combination has already been found and presented in a post with over 14,000 upvotes: Just leave the match.
Even though Treyarch is continuously working on Black Ops 4 and has recently, for example, restored the servers to full performance – they will need to quickly and intensively improve in the future if they truly want to appease the fans.
A new live-action trailer for Fallout 76 has been released. In the quirky clip celebrating multiplayer, we get to see a giant sloth among other things, along with a Deathclaw.
The song “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” is playing, which makes it all feel very cheerful. The camera continues to move and captures a beautiful scenery including a farmhouse and sunset. In the middle, a woman is surrounded by monsters, but she smiles cheerfully while shooting around and spinning in circles.
More relaxed scenes follow, showing groups battling through a mining facility or exploring a plane wreck in a swamp.
The typical Fallout humor is unmistakable in the trailer: Generally, all the characters in the trailer are very relaxed and seem as if it’s all just a casual Sunday stroll. In one of the last scenes, everyone is sitting by a campfire with marshmallows in their C.A.M.P., as if on a school trip.
A Deathclaw walks up to the fire, but that doesn’t seem to disturb anyone. A quick poke with a burning marshmallow stick and it takes off. Everyone laughs.
The final scene shows an atomic explosion, presumably from a nuke that can also be activated in the game. The group watches as if it were a sunset. You get a quick glimpse of the Scorchbeast, a large, winged bat creature.
Presumably, the trailer aims to set the stage for the multiplayer component of Fallout 76, as it is the first installment in the series that will be a purely online game.
In line with the movie Aquaman, which hits theaters in December 2018, you will soon be able to dive into the MMO DC Universe Online. In a gigantic update, the superhero MMO fully embraces Aquaman.
In November 2018, the superhero MMO DC Universe Online takes you to Atlantis, where you help Aquaman stop a dark threat.
Mega update “Atlantis” as big as 8 regular patches
What to expect in the new DLC: Chapter 33 “Atlantis” of DC Universe Online will take you into the realm of Aquaman. There is much to do here:
Atlantis is a large-scale episode with a major event. You will experience these events regardless of your hero’s level.
The chapter will feature new and returning heroes and villains, including Aquaman, Mera, Aqualad, Ocean Master, Corum Rath, Murk, and more.
The storyline offers a series of single-player and multiplayer adventures taking place for the first time in the underwater realm of Atlantis.
The chapter brings new rewards, including new gear, styles, base items, and feats.
There is a new large city to explore
The DLC is approximately as extensive as eight regular updates
The battle against a massive sea monster is the highlight
In the story, you either team up with Aquaman and Mera to protect Atlantis from the evil Corum Rath or align yourself with the dark Ocean Master
This is what makes Atlantis special: The new DLC offers a unique feature – swimming. The question arises how well this will be implemented since many MMOs have tried to introduce swimming and diving, often with poor results.
You must navigate the waters while swimming, which represents a new mode of movement
A new lighting system is intended to create a sense of depth in the sea
So, a DLC for DC Universe Online that can launch alongside a major movie on the same theme is just right. This could bring the online game back into the spotlight for players.
When does Atlantis release? The DLC will be released on November 8 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

Never stand behind a horse: Those who encounter horses for the first time are usually given the advice “Never stand behind a horse.” Because a kick from their hooves is extremely painful. The following video reminds you once again why you shouldn’t stand there. As a bonus, after the kick, the horse even does a little victory dance.

The latest challenges of the Halloween event Fortnitemares provided Fortnite: Battle Royale players with plenty of Battle Stars to level up their Battle Pass instead of boring experience points. What was going on? And what consequences does it have for the players who benefited from it?
This happened on Sunday: On Sunday, the new special challenges for the “Nightmares” event went live. For “Fortnitemares,” special challenges are regularly introduced. In the first week, one had to find a gargoyle and dance in front of it. In the second part of the challenges, one had to destroy ghost decorations.
Among other things, you were supposed to complete a “quest series” on Sunday, where you had to visit Wailing Woods five times initially. For this, players received 150 experience points.
Then, one had to go to Fatal Fields and the Haunted Hills. However, the rewards were no longer experience points, as many players were surprised to find.
Instead of EXP there are Battlestars: Instead of the 150 and 200 experience points players were supposed to receive for completing tasks 2 and 3, Battlestars were awarded as a reward, specifically 350 at once.
This is a huge boost in the Battle Pass of Season 6 and granted players up to 35 levels in the Battle Pass. Unfortunately, not all players were able to enjoy the coveted stars, as Epic promptly released a hotfix.
Bug is fixed, but display is acting up: The challenges now grant only the boring experience points again instead of the exorbitant amount of Battlestars.
However, the display is still incorrect and continues to show Battlestars as a reward. This will be fixed in an upcoming update.
Are players who benefited allowed to keep the Battlestars? Yes. Epic immediately acknowledged that the error was on their part and that no one should be punished for Epic releasing faulty challenges.
Those who were in the right place at the right time could thus reap rewards without having to fear consequences.
Epic’s decision sparks controversial discussions: The community’s opinion is divided. While most players are relaxed about missing out on the Battlestars, many players are complaining, especially on Twitter, seeing it as a disadvantage and demanding that all players should receive the 350 Battlestars for free.
It is always a shame when an MMORPG is shut down. But wouldn’t it be interesting to bring back games like WildStar or Star Wars Galaxies? The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment has an idea.
Especially in the area of MMORPGs, the games show how they evolve. They are a kind of witnesses of a certain era. A museum now wants to revive shut down MMOs.
PvPers in groups now sometimes have to wait longer.
Shut down MMORPGs should be preserved in the museum
The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment wants to save old MMOs: The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment in California, short MADE, has an interesting idea. In the museum, the already shut down MMORPGs should be “revived”.
Visitors would then have the opportunity to see and play these titles to get an impression of how online role-playing games were during their times and how the games played. This would allow even titles like Star Wars Galaxies, City of Heroes, or Wildstar, which will be shut down in November, to be experienced in action.

What are the problems? The idea is great, but the concept also brings some problems with it:
MMORPGs run online and require a network code
MADE is currently looking for the network code of Star Wars Galaxies and City of Heroes
Developers and publishers must give their consent
An MMORPG lives from thousands of players. How would this be implemented in a museum?
An MMORPG also lives from the constant progression through the story, quests, character development, and what one achieves over a long time in the game. How will this be achieved if you can only play for a short time in a museum?
Can an MMO convey the game feeling that fans loved with just a short insight?
An interesting and popular plan
The plan is feasible: MADE has already brought back many other games, including the proto-MMO Habitat. And the museum operators explain that nothing can be harder than getting Habitat to run. Therefore, they are confident that the idea of bringing shut down MMORPGs back to the museum can be implemented.
How the idea is received: Players are excited about the plan. Even if it means that an MMO would only be available within the museum, fans could still reminisce a little and perhaps share their experiences with younger gamers.
snacky writes on MassivelyOP: “These are fantastic news! Exciting!”
kalech says: “Interesting idea. I think it would be good to preserve a few selected MMOs for posterity. Even if the games cannot be played publicly.”
New test data shows: Treyarch keeps its word and continues to work on server performance. The tick rate in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been significantly improved. Only in the Blackout mode does it remain unchanged.
Shortly after the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 numerous fans raised a fuss. Because the game’s multiplayer servers were performing worse than during the beta, with the tick rate reduced from 60Hz to 20Hz. Treyarch attributed this to the launch phase and has been continuously working on improving network performance since then.
Server Tick Rate in Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Back to Beta Level
New tests from the community: The Redditor soybean92 reportedly examined the servers for the regular multiplayer part on PC and PS4 and tested them in Team Deathmatch and Control modes.
This is how server performance in regular multiplayer has improved: After the developers already increased server performance with an update on 23.10. from 20Hz to 30Hz, new tests by soybean92 show that performance has increased once again since 27.10. It now appears to be back to beta level. In both modes on PC and PS4, 62Hz was recorded.
What about Blackout?Blackout continues to run with a tick rate of 20 Hz. There has been no improvement here. Some fans speculate that this mode might remain as is, as the higher player count could put additional stress on the servers. Others suspect that over time, a higher tick rate could also be possible there.
By the way: Custom matches also run with a tick rate of 20Hz. However, this is usual for private games in Call of Duty titles.
What should be noted about the test results: soybean92 explained that he did not know whether these values were already valid worldwide. In his region, the northwest of the USA, this is already the case. At the same time, there are reports from other users who have not yet experienced such an increase in tick rate.
It could therefore initially be a test region or a staged rollout of performance updates that are not yet available everywhere in the world.
Will the online experience in Black Ops 4 now improve for everyone?
What is tick rate? The tick rate is the rate at which a server sends updates to the clients – in this case, to the PS4, Xbox One, or PC. The higher the tick rate, the better the general hit feedback, as servers provide information more frequently.
What does this mean for players? However, this does not mean that all players will have a better experience or will now become killing machines. Because the tick rate is the same for all players – regardless of whether it is 20Hz or 60Hz.
The individual experience can vary due to many other factors, such as the quality of one’s own connection, WLAN quality, the router, or the input lag from player to player.
Moreover, less skilled players will not necessarily benefit from a higher tick rate. Because with a lower tick rate, they might avoid some potential hits due to the reduced information flow.
With a higher tick rate, the exchange of information takes place more frequently, so that more hits can be registered. While one can hit more often oneself, one can also be hit more often, which primarily benefits more experienced players.
Night Elf players want to use the new glaives in Patch 8.1 of World of Warcraft. However, they would have to play Demon Hunters – and who really wants that?
With Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance, there are many new armors and weapons in World of Warcraft. Some of these weapon models are particularly appealing or evoke great interest among Night Elf players – the glaives with three blades. However, they probably won’t be available for the regular night elf.
War glaives only for Demon Hunters: Glaives in World of Warcraft are only available to Demon Hunters. They are the only class that can use glaives and were only introduced with the last expansion “Legion”. While there are a few weapons that look like glaives but are actually swords (such as Illidan’s glaives) or fist weapons – this is, however, the minority.
Why do Night Elves want glaives? Since the early artworks of World of Warcraft and even in Warcraft 3, glaives with 3 blades have been an integral part of Night Elf culture. Most Night Elf sentinels, such as the shield watchers, use these glaives.
Fans demand more weapon types: Especially roleplayers who have been trying to represent an authentic shield watcher for years are yearning for these glaives. They are simply the epitome of a weapon of the Night Elves. Their demand is clear: There should be more weapon types with the model of the new glaive. A fist weapon would be the most fitting here, as in the past, some fist weapons had a similar design.
Whether Blizzard will relent in the coming weeks and months remains to be seen. Given how the developers are currently responding to (sometimes justified) criticism, the chances look good.
What is your opinion on the topic? Should such a special Night Elf weapon be reserved only for Demon Hunters? Or should warriors and other Night Elves also be able to use this traditional weapon of their people?

On November 20, Giratina exits the raids
On November 20, the Giratina raids will end. Until then, you have time to challenge the legendary Ghost and Dragon-type Pokémon. Giratina is part of the dimension trio from Generation 4. It can be assumed that after Giratina, either Dialga or Palkia will be available as raid bosses. They are also part of the dimension trio.
Officially, they are called “Cube Monsters,” Epic explains. In the German patch notes, they are referred to as “Scheusale”.
An Epic employee further explains: Throughout Fortnite, we do not call any enemy “Zombie.” In Save the World, there are “Husks” and “Monsters” of various kinds and types.
Like in Shaun of the Dead: In this way, Epic follows the motto from the movie “Shaun of the Dead.”
There, the main character Shaun makes it clear: “We do not say the Z-word. It’s silly!”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqNQbdD3kLw
What’s behind it: The “We do not use the Z-word” is a typical motif from zombie movies that was parodied in “Shaun of the Dead” (via TvTrope).
In numerous movies, TV series, and comics that take themselves seriously, zombies appear but are called something else:
such as “Infected” (28 Days Later)
“Walker” or “Biters” (The Walking Dead)
in the modern zombie film “Train to Busan,” it is almost completely avoided to give zombies a name – they only appear as a hashtag in a message (#Zombies)
In some of the films, it is made clear that the pop culture thing “Zombie” does not exist at all. For example, “The Walking Dead” takes place in an alternate timeline where there has never been a zombie movie. Therefore, for the people in this world, encountering the Biters is something completely new.
That the characters in a film do not name the “monsters” the way almost every viewer does can be observed not only with zombies. This is common in films.
You do not want all clichés to hang around because that would ruin the tension. By making it clear that zombies are already known from countless films, they lose their uniqueness.
Most players and also content creators will likely continue to call the monsters in Fortnite zombies.
Even Epic admits that they understand why the “Cube Monsters” are called zombies out there.
On November 2, it’s starting: Blizzard’s house fair, BlizzCon 2018, kicks off. Here you will learn what to expect for Overwatch.
BlizzCon 2018 starts on November 2 at 7 PM and ends on November 4 at 5 AM. During this time, you will receive some information about the upcoming features of Overwatch. We will give you a preview of what to expect.
New Content and Features for Overwatch
A new game mode without a new map: There are indications that a new game mode could find its way to Overwatch. Data miners have found audio files with text lines that do not match any current mode.
The spoken lines describe the destruction and protection of a target, and they are also available for new heroes like Brigitte and Wrecking Ball.
So, the new mode could be some sort of “Siege” or “Search and Destroy”.
By the way, Jeff Kaplan has already denied a new map in the same update. Whether and how the new mode will eventually appear is still to be seen.
The most recently added map: Busan.
Hints for a new hero: Soon, it will be time for another hero for Overwatch. Last year, three heroes were released, while 2018 has only seen two so far.
There are already hints of a possible hero. On the PTR, something is missing from the payload on Route 66. A similar situation on Numbani gave us Doomfist and Orisa in 2017.
Since the item is presumably an atomic weapon, the new hero might involve bombs and destruction. This would align with a story about the new mode.
The spectator mode will be improved: In the last developer update, Jeff Kaplan introduced an improved spectator mode, the “Overwatch World Cup Viewer.” This will bring several features:
Replays of past games
Various perspectives in first and third person
Bird’s eye view with details and information about the heroes
The World Cup Viewer will start a beta test for PC shortly before BlizzCon 2018 and will initially only be available for the World Cup. After testing, the feature will be made available for all matches and game modes.

The most important event at BlizzCon 2018 for Overwatch will be the finals of the Overwatch World Cup. All rounds from the quarter-finals will be held live in the arena and shown in the “eSports: Overwatch” panel.
To watch the final matches, however, you will need a Virtual Ticket this year. If you want to purchase one, you can get a Virtual Ticket for free if you play WoW.
Germany has already been eliminated from the World Cup. In the quarter-finals, these teams will face each other:
Group 1
United Kingdom against the United States
Australia against South Korea
Group 2
China against Finland
Canada against France
Canada made it to the finals last year but must face the slightly stronger French team this year.
Benedict suspects: The world champion in 2018 will probably be South Korea again, with France in second place and Finland or the USA in third place.
What are you most looking forward to at BlizzCon 2018? Are you watching the World Cup or are you more interested in the “What’s next?” panel? Let us know in a comment or join our Overwatch group to exchange ideas and visit us on Facebook for more information!
How to pay your bounty in Red Dead Redemption 2 and can you get rid of it without money? We show you what you need to know about bounties.
In Red Dead Redemption 2, many situations invite you to do things that are against the law.
If no one notices and your face remains covered, it’s no problem. If you are seen, a manhunt will be initiated after you. This could end with a bounty on you.
Paying bounties in RDR 2 – Where?
If you commit crimes in Red Dead Redemption 2 and are seen, bounties will be placed on you. For example, NPCs will really dislike you if you are cruel to dogs.
Bounties only in certain regions: Each state in RDR 2 has its own bounties. This means if you are wanted in New Hanover with a large bounty, the people in West Elizabeth won’t care.
What is the drawback of a bounty? If a bounty is placed on you, it can happen that federal agents and bounty hunters lie in wait for you in unfavorable situations. To avoid this, you can pay the bounty yourself.
Where can you pay your bounty? You can settle your bounties at the post offices of the states. You can find them at train stations. They are clearly marked with an envelope icon on the map.
Just talk to the guy at the counter to pay the bounty. You can pay the bounty for different states at any post office.
How much money do I have to pay? It all depends on the crime you committed. Murders or robberies bring the highest bounties.
How high are the bounties? In Chapter 2, your bounty can be a maximum of 300 dollars. In Chapter 3, at first, it’s still 500 dollars, after “Sodom? Back to Gomorrah” then up to 1,500 dollars.
And … what if I don’t pay my bounty? In the state with bounties, you will keep encountering lawmen or marshals looking for you. You either flee from them or attempt to fight them. However, fleeing is the easier option.
If you do not resist the lawmen, you will go to prison. Then it’s either serve your sentence and pay the fine or hope that your gang will rescue you.
With Patch 8.1, World of Warcraft gets a new raid: The Siege of Dazar’alor. Here you can expect nine bosses, one of whom is particularly crazy.
Mechanic Mekkatorque is getting involved: High Engineer Gelbin Mekkatorque is the leader of the Gnomes and with Patch 8.1 one of the bosses in the Siege of Zuldazar. The fight against him looks insane and Mekkatorque promises to be the killer for LFR and random groups.
Mekkatorque makes you kill each other
Two crazy abilities:High Engineer Mekkatorque has two abilities that require a lot of coordination and look both crazy and dangerous. The first is a herd of exploding sheep.
Mekkatorque summons mechanical sheep at certain intervals that wander across the battlefield and explode after a certain time. In the process, they send fireballs across the battlefield that you must avoid.

The sheer mass of sheep makes it almost impossible to avoid all the fireballs or to coordinate them. The entire play area is full of balls.
The second ability is the Shrink Ray. This makes a player smaller and deals 99% less damage. You need this ability to crawl into the Spark Bots that Mekkatorque summons and destroy them from the inside.
The Shrink Ray becomes your doom: The catch is that normal-sized players can step on shrunk players and squish them.
If a normal-sized player steps on a shrunk player, it stuns them and deals damage:
Approximately 50,000 damage in LFR.
Approximately 70,000 damage in normal mode.
Approximately 100,000 damage in heroic mode.
Approximately 130,000 damage in mythic mode.
At the mythic difficulty level, it gets even harder: Mekkatorque shrinks some players and lets others grow. “Giant” players deal 15% more damage but can also step on normal-sized players with the same effect.
To make it even harder, damage is increased when a giant player steps on a shrunk player. They then deal a whopping one million damage.
How to encounter Mekkatorque: The Siege of Zuldazar is asymmetrically structured, Horde and Alliance experience the raid a bit differently. However, the progression according to the current PTR state is linear. In both cases, Mekkatorque is the seventh boss of the raid.
The first three bosses are only different by name, but mechanically identical. After that, the Horde talks to a scout and plays the “Alliance bosses”. After the three Alliance bosses, the Alliance talks to a scout and plays the “Horde bosses”.
If you play as the other faction, you will be assigned a different race of the other faction for the duration, including different racial abilities.
The abilities will likely pose a problem especially for randomly assembled groups (“PUG”) and in LFR, as they require a lot of communication. Poorly coordinated or unpracticed teams will have a tough time against Mekkatorque.

In Red Dead Redemption 2, you won’t get far without enough cash. We have compiled some methods on how to quickly make money in the Wild West.
In RDR 2, even as an outlaw, you need enough money to get by in the Wild West. Whether you need train tickets, want to buy or craft new outfits, or need a few new firearms: you won’t get far without cash.
We suggest several ways for you to quickly gather enough money in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Looting is the way to wealth
In Red Dead Redemption 2, you should have your fingers in everything. Many places have items you can either use yourself or sell.
You shouldn’t overlook defeated enemies either: some of them have a little money or tinctures with them. Every little bit counts!
While you earn less money in some missions, Dutch van der Linde’s gang is always devising new plans to get cash. Moreover, you usually get good weapons in missions without spending a dime.
It is also worthwhile to be a good cowboy during the campaign: if you master the story without a bounty being placed on you, it should pay off financially. If you also help others, they may return the favor.
The prices in stores are also lower if you have a good reputation. Horses acquired legally will also net you more money when sold.
Collect gold bars and sell them
Gold bars are hidden on the map of Red Dead Redemption 2. You also get some for completing puzzles.
To make real money with horses, you usually need to invest some cash upfront to be rewarded later. The best and most valuable horses can be found in stables in Saint Denis and Blackwater. You can purchase the animals there and resell them for a profit.
However, even tamed animals can earn you a little money. If you’re not too concerned about morality, there’s nothing wrong with stealing horses or turning the animals of defeated foes into cash.
Having a good reputation may earn you bonus points in towns, but morally ambiguous cowboys have more opportunities to quickly make some cash.
You can rob trains and carriages at will; no specific mission is required. Just ride alongside the trains and carriages and jump on.
Sell carriages
If you’ve already robbed a carriage, there’s really nothing wrong with taking it. The fence will gladly take the vehicle off your hands.
However, make sure to check carriages for valuables beforehand. They often contain jewelry that you can sell or use to upgrade your camp.
The fence is your best friend
The fence will not only take unwanted carriages off your hands. If you “accidentally” come across items that belong to others, the fence will give you a good price for the items.
Honest businesses usually want nothing to do with stolen goods. You should be able to find a fence in every major settlement. Jewelry and pocket watches will be particularly profitable here.
Rob everyone
If you have taken to the outlaw life and don’t want to limit yourself to trains and carriages, you can simply rob every NPC unfortunate enough to cross your path.
If you feel like doing something more legal for a change, you can face nature and fish or hunt animals. You can bring whole carcasses or just the pelts to the trapper, who will reward you based on the quality of the pelts.
Besides animals, you can hunt something else: fugitive bandits. In the sheriff’s offices in towns, you can look at wanted posters, which contain a vague description of the wanted person and the bounty amount.
But be careful when hunting: not all bounties are marked as “dead or alive”. The more honor you accumulate, the better Arthur will be paid.
Niantic announced alongside the Gengar Day in Pokémon GO two new moves that Gengar can learn on this day. We show you how strong the moves “Lick” and “Psychic” are.
Gengar can learn two new moves via the Gengar Day on November 3rd that it could not master until now. These are:
Lick: This is a Ghost-type Quick Move. Lick has a base damage of 5
Psychic: This is a Psychic-type Charge Move. Psychic has a base damage of 100 and a charge bar
We compare Lick and Psychic with other moves that Gengar can learn.
Lick compared to other Quick Moves
We now compare Lick with the Quick Move Dark Claw. This is also a Ghost-type move. Dark Claw can no longer be learned by Gengar. Therefore, it is quite rare to own such a Gengar.
Quick Comparison: If you want to summarize the comparison quickly, you can say that Dark Claw does more damage than Lick, but Lick generates energy for the Charge Move faster.
EPS Comparison: EPS stands for Energy Per Second. The value reflects how much energy a move can charge per second. This energy is then used for the Charge Move. The higher the EPS of the move, the faster you can use the Charge Move of the Pokémon.
EPS value with Lick: 12.0
EPS value with Dark Claw: 8.6
Time until using the Charge Move Shadow Ball with Lick: 4.5 seconds
Time until using the Charge Move Shadow Ball with Dark Claw: 6.3 seconds
DPS Comparison: DPS stands for Damage Per Second. It deals with how much damage the respective move can deal per second. The higher the DPS value, the faster the opponent is defeated.
DPS value of Lick: 12.0
DPS value of Dark Claw: 15.4
This means that a Pokémon would be defeated faster if you only fought with Dark Claw. If you only fight with Lick, it takes longer to defeat a Pokémon.
Comparison with the move Burden: Currently, Gengar can only learn Burden as a Ghost-type Quick Move. However, Burden is in every respect worse than Lick and Dark Claw.
Conclusion of the Comparison
When comparing all values, there is no clear result. Lick is at least as good as Dark Claw, rather slightly better. But that is situation-dependent. Both moves share first place.
That’s why Lick is better: When looking at the overall DPS of Gengar, one realizes that a Gengar with Lick and Shadow Ball is better than a Gengar with Dark Claw and Shadow Ball. With the higher EPS value, Gengar can use Shadow Ball faster, which then is stronger than a Quick Move.
Dark Claw still very good: If you now own a Gengar with Dark Claw, you definitely should not transfer it. Dark Claw is a move that Gengar can no longer learn and the pure DPS of Dark Claw is simply unbeatable. There are only minimal differences between Dark Claw and Lick.
Psychic is the first Psychic-type move that Gengar can learn. Therefore, it is difficult to find a similar alternative for comparison.
No STAB: STAB stands for Same Type Attack Bonus. This means that Pokémon using attacks that are of the same type as the Pokémon itself receive a bonus in battle.
Gengar is not Psychic-type. This means that it does not receive STAB when using Psychic.
No Psychic Quick Move: Gengar cannot learn a Quick Move of Psychic type. Therefore, if you want to score as a Psychic attacker, Gengar would first have to wait until it can finally use Psychic.
Better Psychic Attackers: If you want a good Psychic attacker, you definitely do not choose Gengar. Mewtwo, Alakazam or Espeon would just be a small part of Pokémon that are all better than Gengar.
Quick Conclusion: Overall, a Gengar with Psychic is useless. All facts speak against this move. If you get a Gengar with Psychic from a raid, use a TM and give it Shadow Ball. That way, you will be much better off.
The beta phases of Fallout 76 have begun, two have already taken place. Our author Tarek used these to get an impression of the game, especially as a solo player. Whether he liked it, you will find out in this preview report.
Finally back to Fallout! That was how I felt when I installed the beta of Fallout 76 on the Xbox One. I was quite curious about how the game performs, especially since there were many controversies and discussions beforehand about what it actually wants to be.
Does it work without human NPCs? How are the story and atmosphere? How does it play solo? These are my impressions so far.
Note: This is a beta. The impressions do not reflect the quality of the release version of Fallout 76. The article may also contain minor spoilers.
The game world is huge and full of exciting places
It shouldn’t surprise anyone, but Bethesda has succeeded with the world of Appalachia in West Virginia. I have only explored a small part so far, but I can already say that it is one of the greatest strengths of Fallout 76 for me.
Even though it is huge, interesting places are never too far apart. There is always a yard, a house, or some location where it is worth making a detour.
The world is also beautifully designed, without hiding the terrible consequences of the war and the time afterwards. It has that typically beautifully terrible quality that you also know from the other Fallout parts.
Of course, the Fallout humor is also present. Already upon leaving Vault 76, you are greeted by it. A cardboard cutout you encounter on your way out bears the inscription “Get a Job” up high. Thank you, VaultTec!
Fallout 76 continues to focus on quests, the emphasis is on the world
Despite the absence of human NPCs and factions, I really liked the way Fallout 76 tells its stories.
This is how Fallout 76 wants to convey its stories: The focus is now, even more than before, on environmental storytelling. Stories are primarily told through the surroundings of the game world.
Whether through holotapes, notes, books, or terminals, you mainly receive your quests through such recordings.
This may not appeal to everyone, but for me, it hits the mark. While exploring the world, I repeatedly came across messages, audio recordings, and hiding places of people who are long gone.
I haven’t been able to complete many quests yet, but the few that I’ve done have been enjoyable. Whether the level remains consistent throughout the game, I cannot yet say.
There are also many stories that are not specifically addressed in quests. You experience them simply by exploring the world. For example, I came across an abandoned camp of protestors in front of a power plant.
There were protest signs everywhere, and a terminal in a tent reveals what happened. Suddenly, a horde of ghouls charged in, armed with these very signs. Former demonstrators?
People who quickly get annoyed by environmental storytelling are likely to have their issues with it sooner or later. For me, it’s just right and adds to the atmosphere.
Why experience the apocalypse in a pool?
The connection between story and game world creates a dense atmosphere
It is difficult to separate this point from the story since both are generated through the environment.
Does the emptiness of the game world only harm it? Regardless of whether Fallout 76 would be a better game with survivors, the absence of people also creates a new atmosphere of discomfort.
I felt a constant oppressive feeling when listening to or reading messages from hopeful, angry, sad, and desperate people fighting for their survival. This was not the case in previous installments, as there were people around every corner.
Candles and wilted flowers in a baby crib. Such depressing images can be found repeatedly.
In Appalachia, the effects of the war are more palpable, despite all its beauty. You can find charred, frozen corpses from the war everywhere, as well as plenty of people who died just a few months or years ago. The game world makes it abundantly clear that there were many survivors for a long time.
Why is no one left? This question pops up in my head after every holotape; you have the feeling that someone was in this room just a few hours ago.
I have only felt a similar sensation while playing Metro: 2033 and Metro: Last Light, which also have a post-apocalyptic setting. For me, the atmosphere comes close to those two shooters at times, especially in the segments on the surface.
As for the main story itself, I can’t say much yet. It involves the overseer of Vault 76, who has also disappeared and left you a trail of camps and audiologs to follow. What it leads to, the chief may have already revealed.
Gameplay has been optimized compared to Fallout 4
Fallout 76 is often compared to Fallout 4, and that is quite accurate. The controls are identical, but there are a few improvements.
What has improved? Compared to its predecessor, weapons feel more impactful, and the hit feedback has been optimized. Bethesda has improved the gunplay; in Fallout 4, weapons often felt strangely powerless to me.
Also, the operation of the building system in C.A.M.P. has improved compared to Fallout 4; placing walls and so on is easier. This is important because building your own settlement is one of the main features in Fallout 76.
The perk system is quite simple. You open the corresponding menu and have your special attributes at the top of the screen. Below are the slots for the cards you can freely place or remove. This is done without much effort.
Both concern me. Fallout 76 currently has quite a few issues with both.
These are the problems with performance: Whether the game is poorly technically optimized or simply the servers were overloaded at the time, I cannot say, but Fallout 76 struggles with stutters and lags.
It ran so poorly at times that it negatively affected the gaming experience in certain situations. Just ammunition suffers when you miss shots due to stutters.
These are the problems with graphics: While the game generally made a solid impression visually, the lighting effects (the biggest plus point compared to Fallout 4) and art design make up for a lot, there were still severe issues with texture loading at times.
Many textures only loaded after you were right in front of a house, tree, or hill. This severely tarnishes the overall appearance repeatedly.
I am not someone who places immense value on graphics. Not every game needs to look like Red Dead Redemption 2 or God of War 4, especially since Bethesda’s games have never been at the peak of graphic highlights.
But at times, Fallout 76 simply did not look good. It may be better on the Xbox One X; I was on the standard Xbox. One can only hope that the technical aspects will be significantly improved before the release.
My impressions as a solo player
I purposely played alone to get an impression of whether one can survive alone in Fallout 76.
Can one manage alone? Yes, you can definitely play solo. In certain aspects, it is harder, but it is feasible. Opponents die quickly, behave relatively stupidly, and can be easily outsmarted.
I occasionally had a shortage of stimpaks, but when you explore the areas, you automatically find enough resources to survive. And if not, you just respawn and retrieve your stuff.
Do the survival elements annoy? On the contrary, they positively contribute to the gameplay for me. All items you can now find have a purpose. Even trash is valuable! It can be recycled, and its components can be used for building.
Food has significance, so everything you can find is relevant for the player and not just decoration. Moreover, eating and drinking never bothered me.
If you are currently playing Red Dead Redemption 2: You can compare these survival elements to that.
Do other players annoy? No. You hardly encounter them. There are always events that players from the surrounding area attend. So far, such encounters have gone peacefully; everyone is doing their thing. I am curious to see how players will behave when Fallout 76 is released.
Does PvP even play a role? I have not experienced any PvP battles so far. I also doubt that PvP will ever play a real role in Fallout 76 (under the current conditions). The rewards are too meager; players die too slowly.
However, I believe that many Fallout fans will be quite satisfied with this because PvP was probably the greatest concern for fans beforehand.
My interim conclusion on Fallout 76
Overall, my impressions are more positive than negative. My biggest points of criticism, graphics and performance, are technical issues and can hopefully be improved before the release on November 14.
Otherwise, Fallout 76 fulfills what I expect from a Fallout.
An interesting, diverse game world in the Fallout universe that invites exploration
Quests that tell exciting stories,
RPG elements that support different playstyles (It can only be said after more gameplay whether they are actually good),
and a wide range of equipment that can be modified.
Normally, of course, this includes the survivors and different factions for me. Personally, it is a pity that they are missing, but I can live with it.
I am very curious to see which direction Fallout 76 will take and how players will behave. Will they really build settlements? Will a separate economy emerge in Appalachia, in which players trade? Will players stay engaged, or will the servers quickly become empty?
If Fallout 76 manages to resolve its technical issues, I am initially optimistic. Additionally, I am curious about how Fallout 76 plays in a fixed group.
