In Fortnite: Battle Royale, players curse the overly powerful turret. However, one player has shown how to completely counter the turret unarmed and literally “hits”.
What’s so bad about the turret? Hardly any item has been hated in Fortnite more than the turret. This is because the turret deals enormous damage, has infinite ammunition, and provides good cover for the shooter from the front. Therefore, Epic has nerfed it multiple times and is planning further adjustments.
An opponent who has entrenched themselves in the turret is clearly at an advantage in a fight. Especially in solo mode, where teammates cannot come to the flanks to help.
Player hacks turret
So anyone who encounters a turret usually has their days numbered. Especially when the turret is found in the first seconds of a game and the opponent swings right in. This happened in a match where several players landed on the roof of the hotel in Paradise Palms.
Axe against turret: There was a turret lying around and the lucky first player immediately built the gun. He swung in and looked forward to easy kill-farming, as his later landing opponents hadn’t even found a weapon and faced the high-tech turret with basic pickaxes. A fight in Fortnite couldn’t be more uneven!
The weak point of the turret: But what happened next is something the turret player will probably never forget. Because the player right after him simply didn’t want to die and bounced around him like a mad rubber ball. In the end, he jumped directly onto the turret and could no longer be reached by the deadly weapon. Instead, he hacked as much as he could.
A not-so-easy trick: After a few hits with the axe, the turret shooter was history and the axe hero could use the turret himself. However, the trick with the turret is probably not as easy as it seemed.
A new player trying to do the same came running too directly and was blasted to pieces by the new turret owner.
The online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online, is set to launch soon. However, some players are already enjoying the multiplayer.
Fans of Red Dead Redemption 2 have had a month to extensively play through the campaign featuring Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang. The next milestone is the online mode, which is expected to launch this week.
First online achievements of RDR 2 are already being unlocked
As reported by Ultragamerz, there is activity regarding achievements from Red Dead Online. Some achievements and trophies for the online mode have been known for some time. This includes the Xbox achievement “Breakout”.
Just like the achievements “Series Master”, “Mercenary”, or “Eventful”, it now shows in the overview that at least a small group of gamers already has access. It states “Only 0.01% of players have unlocked it”. While this is not a large number, it indicates that a few fortunate players are already enjoying their online rounds.
Who is already playing the multiplayer? It is unlikely that there are just a few people who managed to access the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 through tricks.
Much more likely, it involves early testers from Rockstar Games ensuring that everything runs smoothly for the beta launch. As far as possible – it is strongly assumed that issues will arise at the beginning of the RDO beta.
Update: Players report that these achievements were already documented with the 0.01% players since release. This could be related to earlier developer tests.
What can players expect in the online world? Based on the achievements, it is already clear that there will be free roam missions and events. There will also be a ranking system where you can reach different levels. Additionally, there will be a camp that you can upgrade. Our wishes for the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 can be found here.
The Javelin exosuit Colossus is high on the wishlist of many players. And you can fulfill this wish quickly in the online shooter Anthem quickly.
Currently, Bioware keeps revealing new snippets of information about their online shooter Anthem, which is set to launch in February. Besides live streams that come about every two weeks, producer Mark Darrah is actively tweeting information.
The latest information revolves around the Colossus, the tank of Anthem.
It won’t take long to get a Colossus
Which Javelin do you start with? In Anthem, there are the Javelins
Colossus – Powerful in close and long-range combat, very resilient
Ranger – An all-round Javelin
Interceptor – Small, agile, and fast, well-suited for close combat
Storm – Particularly effective in long-range combat
Each has different abilities and should therefore be used for the corresponding missions.
Every player starts with the Ranger, an all-rounder that performs well in any situation. But how long does it take to get access to the other Javelin suits?
When do you get the Colossus? According to Bioware’s Mark Darrah, it takes about an hour to obtain the Colossus. Then you can unleash its superior firepower. The Colossus is suitable for combat operations where you can expect many enemies.
The Colossus is the largest and most resilient Javelin, equipped with suitable weaponry for both close and long-range combat.

Will everyone be running around with the Colossus? The Colossus is popular among many players. Therefore, many will try to get it as quickly as possible.
However, that doesn’t mean you’ll only see players with Colossus flying around in Anthem. Tactics are required in the missions. You must always choose the Javelin that is best suited for the mission. And that is not always the Colossus.
Moreover, each player customizes their Javelin according to their own ideas. This is a very important feature for Anthem. How customized Colossus in orange looks is shown in new screenshots that game designer Emily Taylor published on Twitter. We have embedded the two pictures here in the paragraph.
This way, you differentiate yourself from other players even when multiple people are controlling a Colossus.
In the special research “More about Meltan” in Pokémon GO, you need to catch a Ditto. With the current research, you can easily find Ditto.
In the third stage of the new special research, your task is “Catch a Ditto”. Many players find this task challenging.
We will show you how to easily get a Ditto and what tricks are best for catching it.
Ditto from Field Research
One of the current field researches is “Land a fantastic throw”. This quest rewards you with a Pidgey, which transforms into a Ditto after being caught.
Field research will be gone soon: Hurry up and look for the above-mentioned field research. This task will disappear with the end of the Let’s GO event on November 27. It is sufficient to have this task once in your list. From there, the quest will not be automatically removed.
Fantastic throw is difficult: Many players struggle to land a fantastic throw. Without this throw, they cannot obtain the Ditto from the quest. For some Pokémon, it is significantly easier to land a fantastic throw.
Which Pokémon should you use for the throw? Especially large Pokémon are easy to hit perfectly as they have large circles. These include Pokémon like Wailmer, Lickitung or Sengo. But also evolutions like Ursaring or Hypno can be easily hit.
Try the throw on raid bosses: If you’re doing raids, take your time while catching. The legendary boss Cresselia, as well as 4-star raids like Stoutland or Absol, can be easily hit.
The most important thing about a fantastic throw is time and calmness. If you try to do it casually, you might get the rarest ball perfectly.
Veterans of Destiny know the Hand Cannon “The Last Word.” They would love to play it again in Destiny 2. It is not available there yet. But surprisingly, Fortnite has now brought the Hand Cannon into play.
This is “The Last Word”: In Destiny 1 there were many weapons that Guardians speak of with love. The most powerful weapon was certainly “Gjallarhorn,” but the weapon with the most style is for many “The Last Word.”
In the science fiction universe of Destiny, with laser beams, homing rockets, and giant aliens, “The Last Word” turned Guardians into cowboys who maintained law and order with a six-shooter at their hip.
The Last Word is an exotic Hand Cannon, loved primarily by PvP fans. Thanks to a perk, The Last Word was particularly accurate when fired from the hip.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oh4_BVXkcXo
The special thing about the weapon was already the shooting animation. The shooter uses a technique known from the Wild West. The shooter holds one hand over the hammer to increase the firing speed. This technique is known as fanning.
Even the reload animation was well done, and just drawing the weapon looked spectacular: “The Last Word” was full of style.
Moreover, “The Last Word” is surrounded by a fantastic story. For this weapon belongs to Shin Malphur, who dueled with Dredgen Yor, the owner of “The Thorn.”
Fans demand return in Destiny 2: Even though Destiny 2 has brought many exotic weapons from Destiny 1 back, “The Last Word” is still missing from today’s Guardians’ arsenal.
This is how “The Last Word” works in Fortnite: The Last Word came to the Event Shop of Fortnite: Save the World about two weeks ago, meaning in the PVE part of the game.
The weapon could be purchased there for 1680 Gold for one week. Gold is an in-game currency that you earn through missions and is a bit tedious to grind. Fortnite Gold cannot be purchased with real money.
This is how “The Last Word” works in Fortnite: The weapon is not only randomly named after Destiny, but it is a clear homage. “The Last Word” in Fortnite can be used in two ways:
When aiming, it becomes more precise and shoots slowly
When firing from the hip, it shoots faster but less accurately – here too, there is the animation with fanning

Even in Fortnite, “The Last Word” has already found some fans. Some recommend a “Crit-Build” (via reddit) with the gunslinger Calamity to achieve huge damage numbers with headshots.
However, whether “The Last Word” will ever reach the cult status in Fortnite as it did in Destiny is questionable. After all, the weapon was only available for a short time and “Fortnite: Save the World” currently has a rather limited community.
But perhaps Guardians in Destiny 2 can soon fire stylishly from the hip again, just like they did in “more romantic times.”
In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, there have been some extensive updates in recent weeks. The balance of weapons has changed significantly in some cases. We present to you four class loadouts that are currently recommended after the numerous changes.
In light of the latest patches, many weapons have been buffed or nerfed, and the meta has been shaken up in the traditional multiplayer part. The “Call of Duty” expert TheXclusiveAce took this as an opportunity to take a closer look at all the weapons.
These 4 class setups in Black Ops 4 are worth it after the changes
In this context, TheXclusiveAce has developed new class setups for the regular multiplayer that have benefited the most from the changes and with which players can still be at the top after the Black Ops 4 Patch 1.07.
Here are the descriptions of the perks used so that you know what advantages they provide:
Gung-Ho: This perk provides numerous advantages. With it, you can fire and use equipment while sprinting. Additionally, you recover faster after sprinting and move at full speed while reloading.
Dead Silence: With this perk, you move silently and will not be detected by the Acoustic Sensor.
Scavenger: With this perk, you should never run out of ammo. You replenish it from fallen players with Scavenger.
Engineer: This perk allows you to detect enemy equipment and scorestreaks through walls. You can also reroll ammo or equip explosives.
Setup for Rampart 17
The first setup focuses on the assault rifle Rampart 17. After numerous changes, this weapon is now among the best.
Rampart 17 (Source: TheXclusiveAce on YouTube)
The weapon setup: As a sighting device, TheXclusiveAce uses the Recon Sight for the Rampart, which offers either 2x or 4x magnification. This allows for excellent fighting both at close range and over long distances.
He also recommends High Caliber I+II and the fast magazine. This increases the damage on headshots and upper chest shots. Additionally, reloading is noticeably faster.
The class setup: He uses the remaining points for the Primary Gunfighter wildcard, the Stim Shot, and the perks Engineer, Gung-Ho, and Dead Silence.
With the wildcard, he can attach one more attachment to his Rampart, and the Stim Shot allows for more frequent and faster healing. Furthermore, the character enjoys the additional effects of the three perks.
Setup for Spitfire
The second setup includes the submachine gun Spitfire. In the expert’s opinion, it is one of the few setups that can compete against assault rifles at close range.
Spitfire (Source: TheXclusiveAce on YouTube)
The weapon setup: The standard sighting device is used for aiming. Furthermore, TheXclusiveAce utilizes the stock, magazine extension, and fast magazine.
As a result, he moves faster while aiming, has an increased ammo capacity, and can reload even faster.
The class setup: As a secondary weapon, he carries the Hellion Salvo launcher against flying objects and uses the Stim Shot as well as the perks Scavenger, Gung-Ho, and Dead Silence. The Stim Shot allows for more frequent and faster healing. Additionally, you benefit from the effects of the three perks.
Setup for Swordfish
Setup 3 is based on the Swordfish, one of the three tactical rifles in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. This already solid weapon has received buffs over the past weeks that make the Swordfish even more worthwhile and deadly.
Swordfish (Source: TheXclusiveAce on YouTube)
The weapon setup: For aiming, a Reflex Sight with 1.25x magnification is used here. Attachments Quickdraw and High Caliber enhance the weapon. Additionally, TheXclusiveAce also uses the Agent Mod 5-Burst.
With this setup, you achieve increased aim speed and increased damage on headshots. The Agent Mod also adds an additional fifth round per burst to the weapon that fires in bursts. Furthermore, the Operator Mod increases ammo capacity.
The class setup: The remaining points are spent on the Primary Agent Mod Wildcard, the Stim Shot, and the perks Gung-Ho and Dead Silence.
The special thing about this is: Swordfish needs 5 rounds to take down an opponent. With the Agent Mod, the weapon fires exactly 5 rounds per burst. Thanks to the recent buffs, the weapon has become a laser that can easily hit all 5 shots on target.
With the Agent Mod, you can eliminate an opponent with a well-aimed burst. By the second burst, any adversary should be on the ground.
Setup for GKS
The fourth and final class loadout focuses on the GKS submachine gun – another valuable SMG.
GKS (Source: TheXclusiveAce on YouTube)
The weapon setup: Aiming is done with the standard sight, or the Iron Sights. This SMG is improved by the attachments Quickdraw and Grip I+II.
This reduces recoil when using the sight. Additionally, flinch when shot during aiming is reduced, and the aim speed of the weapon is improved.
The class setup: As a secondary weapon, the Hellion Salvo launcher against flying objects is also used here. The Primary Gunfighter wildcard is added, along with the Stim Shot and the perks Engineer, Gung-Ho, and Dead Silence completing the setup.
With the wildcard, you’re allowed to attach an additional attachment to the SMG. The Stim Shot enables more frequent and faster health regeneration. The three perks further strengthen the build with their respective effects.
A detailed analysis of the weapons and their respective setups can be found in this video:

An important step for gaming into the mainstream seems to have been made: A columnist for the New York Times places “Red Dead Redemption 2” on par with the film “The Godfather” and the TV series “The Sopranos.” Surprisingly, Fallout 76 is also praised.
This is what the New York Times says: An opinion piece from the renowned New York Times by author Peter Suderman is titled “Red Dead Redemption 2 is true art.” The article appeared online as well as in print. In print, the article is titled “Much More Than a Silly Game.”
In the article, the author explains that “Red Dead Redemption 2” is the best blockbuster of this season.
The reason readers have heard nothing about this blockbuster is that Red Dead Redemption 2 is not a TV show or a movie, but a video game. And video games are still not on the same level in the public eye as films or TV series.
People discuss the banking system in Westeros from Game of Thrones very seriously but still consider video games a kind of “second-class cultural form” that doesn’t really count.
In the author’s eyes, video games have now earned this recognition.
This development is what video games are said to have gone through: For the article’s author, the “great video games” are blossoming much like cinema did in the last century or TV series of the past 20 years. Video games are finding their own path and now appear mature and grown-up.
He places Red Dead Redemption 2 on the same level as cinematic epics such as “The Godfather” or TV series like “The Sopranos” and “The Americans.”
Like these media, video games now also tell great stories both on a large and small scale.
Thus, the Times praises the game: The author praises the technical achievements and dimensions of the game. Red Dead Redemption 2 offers breathtaking landscapes like those from a John Ford film.
The scenery teems with life, the towns have a daily rhythm, and the wildlife reacts shyly when the player approaches.
Like in the great classics, Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of violence, but it is violence with consequences.
Fallout 76 and RDR2 as “existentialist giants”
Form supports content: The author emphasizes how the game mechanics in Red Dead Redemption 2 and also in Fallout 76 contribute to supporting the message of the game and the atmosphere.
In both games, it is about staying alive. To do so, one must undertake various hardships: take care of the camp, eat, drink, and gather supplies.
This sometimes feels like a tedious chore, but it also leads players to a thoughtful, calm way of playing. This focus on survival forces players to explore their surroundings and progress slowly.
Ultimately, both games are “existentialist journeys” that revolve around the rhythm of survival.
Games are growing up, forcing players to grow up
What has changed in games: Furthermore, the author says many outsiders view games as ways to shirk responsibility, as ways to escape into virtual worlds without consequences.
But Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game that forces decisions on players and teaches them to live with those decisions.
These are games that make players grow up. This shows that video games as a cultural medium have themselves matured.
This is how players react: On reddit, the article has gained much attention. It has over 1,700 comments and almost 28,000 upvotes.
Many joke about the comparison between games and films. One says: “The Godfather also had great graphics and an impressive open world.”
But many are also serious. Some share on reddit how their parents’ attitudes towards video games have changed in recent years. Those who still have “Donkey Kong” in mind and then see Red Dead Redemption 2 notice a shift.
Many parents or grandparents would watch the gamers play now and then ask what movie they were watching or what was going on.
This is why it matters: The discussion shows an ongoing debate about whether video games can be considered art. Throughout history, new forms have had a hard time being accepted by the “established art forms.”
A few years ago, comics were still considered kids’ stuff; today, they are discussed like novels.
Even in 2010, the famous film critic “Roger Ebert” wrote a column, “Video games can never be art.” Eight years later, this credo seems to be slowly crumbling. But it will likely take some time before video games are discussed like books, films, or TV series.
New cards for Rastakhan’s Rumble in Hearthstone have been revealed. Especially the Priest can look forward to a brilliant Legendary: Talanji adds to the already annoying “Thief Priest.”
In a few weeks, it will be time, then the new expansion for Hearthstone will start. Rastakhan’s Rumble lures with 135 new cards that Blizzard is revealing piece by piece. Here, we want to introduce you to a few of the new cards. You will surely see them in many matches soon.
Mages indulge in the Arkanosaurus, which will find a place in many Elemental decks. The dinosaur costs 6 Mana and has weak stats of 3/3, but a powerful Battlecry: It deals 3 damage to all other minions if the Mage played an Elemental last turn.
Also for Mages is the Fire Roll, a new spell for 5 Mana. This spell deals 2 damage to all minions, but has the additional effect of Overkill (meaning if a minion dies and would have taken more damage than it has health): Draw a random Mage spell into your hand.
A neutral Legendary minion is the well-known troll Gaunah, with stats of 4/5 for 4 Mana. As a Battlecry, the player discovers 2 cards. However, one of them will be randomly given to the opponent at the end! So choose wisely…
Druids can grab the Spirit of the Raptors, a minion for 1 Mana with weak stats of 0/3. Its strength comes from being stealth for one turn, allowing the Druid to draw a card every time they attack and destroy a minion with their hero.
Shamans also receive a spirit, the Spirit of the Frog. It costs a hefty 3 Mana but also has stats of only 0/3. It is stealth for a turn and ensures that every time a spell is cast, another spell is drawn from the deck that costs 1 Mana more than the previous one.
Also for Shamans is the new spell for only 1 Mana, the Totem Toss. This deals 2 damage, and as an Overkill effect, summons a random basic totem afterward.
Paladins are waiting for the new Legendary High Priest Thekal. This costs 3 Mana and has solid stats of 3/4, but an interesting Battlecry. It converts all of the hero’s health to Armor, leaving only 1 health! This is especially useful if you have large healing at hand afterward to effectively build a huge pool of health and armor.
In line with this, Paladins receive the Zandalar Templar, a minion for 4 Mana with just acceptable stats of 4/4. It becomes significantly stronger due to its Battlecry, as it gains +4/+4 and Taunt if the Paladin has restored 10 health in this game!
Murloc fans get the Murloc Gourmet for their collection. This Murloc costs 4 Mana and has only stats of 3/2, but has an interesting Deathrattle: Draw 2 Murlocs from your deck.
Priests probably get one of the coolest Legendary minions in Rastakhan’s Rumble. They can call Princess Talanji, who, for 8 Mana, only has stats of 7/5, but a devastating Battlecry: Summon all minions from your hand that were not in your deck at the start of the game. So those who have stolen many minions from the opponent or created them through other cards can flood the entire board.
What do you think of the new cards? Is there something cool for you?
The Meltan quests in Pokémon GO have only been running for a few days, but players should hurry to complete them.
The special research that leads to Meltan consists of nine steps. Many steps include tasks that are easier to solve with the help of the current Let’s GO event in Pokémon GO. Without this event, these tasks are more challenging.
How much longer does the event last? The Let’s GO event lasts until November 27. You can complete the Meltan quests without a time limit.
We will tell you which quests are harder without the event and why you should complete the special research as soon as possible.
Some Pokémon of the Meltan quest are hard to catch
The Meltan quests are easy to solve alongside the ongoing Let’s GO event. However, once the event is over and the spawns and field research change, the special research will become a tough challenge.
These quests will be harder after the event: Most quests revolve around specific Pokémon that you need to catch to complete. These Pokémon are easy to find during the current event. After the event, they will return to being rare Pokémon.
Catch a Ditto
Many players struggled to catch a Ditto during the Mew quest. Currently, you can get a Ditto from a special field research. However, this will disappear after the Let’s GO event.
Catch 5 Steel-type and Electric-type Pokémon
These two quests, which you will encounter at level 4 of 9, can be completed quickly due to the frequent Pikachu and Magnemite around every corner. Without an event, you will find Pokémon of these types less often. Stollunior is the most common for Steel-type, and the likely candidate for Electric-type is Frizelbliz.
Catch 5 Owei
The Grass-type Pokémon Owei is currently appearing frequently in the wild. However, after the event, this Pokémon will also become rarer. From the quest “Hatch an Egg”, you can receive an Owei as a reward. In the wild, this Pokémon will no longer appear regularly.
Catch two Kabuto or Amonitas and Catch two Liliep or Anorith
These two tasks await you at level 8 of 9. The current event Pokémon make it easy to complete these tasks. After the event, you will find these Pokémon more often in nests than in the wild. They will also not be available from quests.
Catch an Aerodactyl
Currently, you can obtain Aerodactyl from the quest “Hatch two Eggs”. After the Let’s GO event, this Pokémon will not be found either in a quest or frequently in the wild. Therefore, you should complete the quest now and save the Aerodactyl in your storage.
A large portion of the quests will become significantly harder after the current event. There will be no better time to complete the quests. So, make the most of the time until November 27 and get your Meltan.
Have you caught Meltan yet?
These moves you should secure on the upcoming Community Day!
This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
If you are planning to jump into Chronicles of Elyria soon, the choice of server holds more significance than merely displaying the available community. Each of the four realms in the sandbox MMORPG is a completely unique world with a different map and population. The community has decided which worlds these will ultimately be.
What is Chronicles of Elyria? This is a special sandbox MMORPG where you can build your own kingdom and noble dynasties. Your characters age over time, can contract the plague, and must also manage offspring and succession.
What’s the deal with the maps? Chronicles of Elyria is supported and funded by a devoted circle of fans. Therefore, the backers also have a say in game design, and the developers have allowed the community to vote on which maps will be used for the servers.
Players choose their game worlds
Each server is a completely unique world: In Chronicles of Elyria, each server is supposed to be a completely different continent. The landmass looks different each time, and there are different inhabitants and political situations.
From a large pool of 23 possible maps, four have now been selected by the fans. The chosen worlds will be available at the launch of the first version of Chronicles of Elyria when it finally arrives.
Here you can see the four winning maps:
Deadline for noble dynasties: You can freely choose the world when the game starts. However, anyone wishing to found a noble dynasty should decide in advance. This is the only way to ensure that the available lands are distributed fairly and justly, they say.
There will be a deadline, which will still be set by the developers at a future date.
When will Chronicles of Elyria finally be released? There are still no specific details regarding the launch of the massive sandbox project. Lack of funds and personnel are currently hindering development:
This is how top players pass the time in Destiny 2: A raid team led by the exceptional player Gladd has now mastered the Forsaken raid without firing a single shot with a weapon. They also did not use Warlocks or Titans.
On November 27, Season 5 will kick off in Destiny 2. A week later, on December 4, the first premium DLC “The Black Armory” will follow. But even though there is hardly anything left for top players in Forsaken to do until the new content arrives, they know how to keep themselves occupied. They set their own challenges.
Raid team masters “Last Wish” only with the abilities of their Guardians
What does the video show? The well-known exceptional player Gladd and his buddies from the Redeem clan also keep boredom at bay and set themselves new challenges.
While some players are still struggling with the raid, Gladd’s team has come up with something special once again.
Thus, the team aimed to tackle the Forsaken raid “Last Wish” this time completely without the use of weapons. During the raid, only the abilities and super attacks of the individual Guardians were used.
How did they achieve that? Anyone who may think that the guys resorted to the currently overpowering and ubiquitous combo of Titans with Synthoceps and Warlocks with Well of Radiance for this achievement is mistaken. For this time, the raid team consisted solely of Hunters.
Depending on the phase, the team had a different focus. For boss encounters, they predominantly used six Hunters with the Golden Gun and the helmet Celestial Nighthawk. This dealt massive burst damage to the big targets.
To clear larger groups of enemies, they usually relied on four Golden Gun Hunters as well as an Arcstrider and a Nightstalker. The Arcstrider utilized the Raiden Flux chest armor to extend the duration of their super. The Nightstalker used the exotic leg armor Orpheus Rig.
Once again, a game is dead, Total War Arena, that our jinxed Jürgen once liked. But he claims his innocence and laments the demise of Wargaming’s strategy and tactics MMO.
Is it the Stöffel curse again? I was quite shocked recently when I saw the headline “Total War Arena is shutting down“. The game seemed promising and I played it a lot during the Closed Beta.
Now its days are numbered, and it is supposed to end in February 2019. In the editorial team, they have been joking for some time that I kill games with my affection. “What the Stöffel likes, dies!” has become a saying in our team.
That’s why Total War Arena was an awesome game!
It was such a good game! And indeed, I always had Total War Arena on my computer, even if I haven’t played it that much in the last few months. I always intended to play it again, because the gameplay was really great.
You were part of a really impressive force, and when it went well, and you got along with your teammates, truly epic battles resulted.
Beautiful memories: I still remember the situation when I wiped out the flank of an exposed enemy with my battle dogs, causing a chain reaction that collapsed the entire battle line.
Or the case when I troll for so long with a single cavalry unit in the enemy’s rear that a player in the enemy formation lost his nerves and chased my riders. He then missed the decisive moment at the front and ruined the enemy’s battle plan and thus their chance of victory.
More battle than in the solo game: Total War Arena felt much more like a real battle than the neatly controllable skirmishes of the regular Total War series titles. Because you were just a division commander in a large army.
And as in many great battles of the past, individual decisions at the right or wrong time determine how a battle between equal opponents turns out.
Now Total War Arena is probably soon gone. Did I kill it? Not really, because the game had a significant problem: According to the developer studio Creative Assembly, Total War Arena did not meet expectations. Therefore, they decided to shut down operations.
Wargaming instead of Steam: According to many players, the lack of success was mainly due to the fact that the game was detached from Steam after the first beta phase and exclusively distributed through Wargaming’s own launcher.
Various players who participated in the first beta apparently did not switch to the Wargaming launcher, and new players didn’t find the game.
Because the players reached via the WG launcher were actually exclusively fans of World of Tanks and Co. And they were not necessarily all fans of ancient mass battles.
Departure from Steam was a critical mistake: So while a small, dedicated group of fans remains, it was far too little for a successful competitive MMO. The departure from Steam was probably the critical mistake that ultimately broke the game’s neck.
As in the battle situations mentioned at the beginning, this was the blunder that ultimately lost the battle. And this decision was made before I even got to play the game. So I’m innocent of the downfall.
But it’s a shame for what I think is a good game. Rest in peace, Total War Arena.
The world of Fallout 76 is full of curious places and events. The quests also have the classic Fallout humor. However, one particular quest drove our author Benedict to the brink of despair.
Fallout 76 offers many content that players can discover. Over 150 hours of material is scattered in side activities, and there is a main quest line that you can follow to discover the story of Fallout 76. However, a part of the main quest line is so clever that it almost drove our author Benedict crazy. And that, even though everything worked exactly as it should.
Warning! The following text contains massive story spoilers and the course of a complete quest from the main quest line.
Brotherhood of Steel, here I come!
The main quest line of Fallout 76 takes you through many factions that settled in Appalachia after the war and had their bases there. As a player, you learn their history and complete tasks for the people, even if they are already dead.
One of the factions is the Brotherhood of Steel, which you can also join and even must if you want to follow the story. However, that is not so easy.
The Brotherhood of Steel is an association of former military personnel who have made it their mission to gather, preserve, and archive technology for future generations. To be allowed to join, you must have served in the US military.
Camp McClintock: Here I will serve my duty.
Off to basic training
After finding and exploring the Brotherhood of Steel’s base, I first have to join them as a new member via a terminal to gain access to the upper rooms. However, this requires a “military ID.”
To obtain this, I must complete the basic training for US Army soldiers. So far so good, as the enrollment is automated, and the corresponding Mr. Gutsies, including the sergeant, still exist.
So off to the training camp to complete the training. It consists of three parts:
Shooting exercise
Running training
Tracking down communists
The quest series is short, entertaining, and relatively easy. I am now officially a soldier in the US military and may pick up an ID at City Hall. The next quest starts now. And that is where the real war begins … .
Proud Cadet with his Sarge.
Paper war with bots
To pick up my official ID as a soldier, I need to go to the Capitol Building in Charleston, basically the city hall. Although it is completely destroyed, the bureaucrat bots and the automatic terminals still work.
Since no one else is alive except me and other Vault dwellers, it shouldn’t take too long to process an ID application. With the corresponding motivation, I enter City Hall and start the registration.
When creating the application, there are some funny options at the terminal. I decide to go with the name Private Parts (Haha) and live at Apocalypse Drive 1. With the printed application, I head to official bot KZB-Bot B2.
The entrance to the admission office.
Take a number
This is where the actual fight against the windmills of bureaucracy begins. As someone who has already applied for passports and BAFöG in German offices, I consider myself somewhat hardened when it comes to bureaucratic processes. Far from it.
Bot B (I forgot his full name out of frustration) won’t accept my application. I must first take a number. Fortunately, the number printer is right next to me, and as I said, there is no one else alive.
I take a number and start the announcements. An announcement is now calling out numbers. Of course, I am not called immediately, but rather other waiting customers. They may not be alive anymore, but they are also not dead. Each one comes around the corner as a ghoul and attacks me.
Funny gag that really made me smile. However, I actually want my ID and to return to the Brotherhood. After 5 minutes of waiting for ghouls and distributing bullets, I can finally submit my application. By the way, the bot only addresses me by my drawn number … .
Documents incomplete
Now it’s back to waiting. The bot only replies: “Processing … processing … processing …” Shortly after, the next problem arises: The documents are incomplete. I need to prove that I live in Charleston by submitting a letter with an official US Post stamp.
This is somewhat difficult since the post no longer exists, but there are still mailboxes. I quickly leave City Hall and collect “spam” from the mailbox. I apparently won money or something. But it doesn’t really matter what’s inside; I just need the stamp.
“Processing …” Now the bot is missing another piece of paper. Some kind of digit sequence that forcibly made me think of pass request A 38. Alright, the reference is still funny, but the running around is starting to annoy.
I disappear into the next building in the archive, grab a blank application form, and submit it. “Processing …” All complete. Wonderful! Then I should be able to return to the Brotherhood with my ID. Or not.
Even Garvey couldn’t have cost that many nerves.
Application complete! But …
In the matter-of-factly bored tone of a bureaucrat, the bot informs me that Department B is only responsible for extensions. For new applications, I should please contact Department C.
At this point, I was about to bite into my desk. But since all the documents were here, it shouldn’t take that long. Or?
I speak with Bot C, who tells me to please take a number. Again. So, take a number, start the announcement … kill ghouls that come running. One of the ghouls is even an elite enemy named “J46” or something. At least.
It doesn’t end
Finally, when it is my turn, I want to submit my application. But I’m not allowed to. “Prescribed second coffee break.” Coffee break. With a bot. Really? Well, at least it only lasts (still) 5 seconds.
However, Bot C informs me that an error has occurred. He gives me the error code, which I can look up on the terminal myself. The code reveals: I need a birth certificate with the governor’s stamp.
Fortunately, the governor’s office is just around the corner. A quick break-in, some minutes of fighting through either Burned, Ghouls, or Super Mutants, and press the seal from the office onto the documents. Done.
Can I leave …?
After I have submitted my certificate, the bot “processes” my application again. I’ve never attacked friendly NPCs anywhere else. By the way, they take no damage, but the bullets were worth it.
I finally have all the documents together and still have to take a photo. Fortunately, the camera is right behind me. A quick snapshot and the military ID is ready. Finally, I am allowed to return to the base and join the Brotherhood.
I would like to point out that although this quest annoyed me at the end, it made many acquaintances laugh. It will certainly remain in my memory for a long time. Certainly a successful design.
A little tip for all those who follow: Complete the quest from start to finish right away. If you log out in between, you will have to start over.

Pokémon GO is also being vigorously played by the creators of World of Warcraft. They compete daily for the arena at work.
From the game studio Blizzard, many great games have emerged. Even if you don’t play them, you’ve at least heard of World of Warcraft or maybe Overwatch, Starcraft, or Hearthstone.
Many of the people working at Blizzard are enthusiastic mobile gamers. Especially Pokémon GO has made a lasting impression and is played there daily.
Allegedly, the Blizzard team is working on its own GO game.
Blizzard Likes Pokémon GO, Has Orc Arena
At Blizzard’s campus in Irvine, you are greeted by a huge Orc statue. In a battle stance on an angry mount, the Orc raises the axe.
This is also a meeting point for the Pokémon players from Blizzard.
In an interview with Kotaku, it was revealed that Blizzard employees enjoy mobile games a lot. Many are said to even play Pokémon GO. One of the developers mentioned that the Orc statue in the middle of the Blizzard campus is a Pokémon GO arena. Regularly, battles among Pokémon trainers erupt there to gain control of the arena.

Is Blizzard Bringing its Own GO Version of Warcraft?
What happened? Blizzard announced a few weeks ago at its own event “BlizzCon” Diablo Immortal. A mobile version of the hack-and-slash “Diablo” for iOS and Android.
Fans did not receive this well, as they hoped for bigger presentations regarding Diablo at BlizzCon. Many did not understand why Blizzard is jumping on the mobile bandwagon.
What is new now? The website Kotaku spoke with eleven employees who formerly or currently work for Blizzard. They unofficially revealed details about past, current, and future projects.
Since so many employees found joy in the mobile game, it was only natural that they wanted to develop a Warcraft version of Pokémon GO. According to Kotaku, this is now in the development phase for smartphones. However, this has not yet been officially confirmed by Blizzard.
Developer loves Pokémon: It naturally played into the decision for the development that the Warcraft spinoff could generate a lot of money. But the development for a Warcraft GO has also started because the lead designer Cory Stockton is a huge Pokémon fan, according to Kotaku.
When is the Warcraft for smartphones coming out? This is still completely unclear. So far, Blizzard has not even officially announced the game or its development.
In line with Black Friday, Bungie has expanded its store selection with some new items. One fan item in the shop reveals new details about the upcoming premium DLC Black Armory for Destiny 2.
The Black Armory, the first of three premium DLCs for owners of the Annual Pass, is set to be released on December 4, 2018. However, Bungie has been withholding details.
Official information is scarce even a week before the planned release. Now, ironically, a new longsleeve shirt from the Bungie store provides the first hints about the upcoming DLC.
Three Houses from the Golden Age
What the T-shirt reveals: Specifically, it’s about the “Black Armory Raglan” T-shirt. This is printed on both sides with symbols from the upcoming DLC Black Armory.
The product description and the symbols themselves reveal some interesting details about what Guardians can expect soon.
Front of the shirt
According to the description, the logo of the Black Armory adorns the front of the T-shirt. The description states: “Three lost cultures from the Golden Age forged some of the most impressive weapons ever seen by the Guardians. Your task to find them is the perfect occasion for this T-shirt.”
Back of the shirt
The back of the T-shirt continues interestingly. There are three symbols visible again.
In the item description, they are referred to by Bungie as “House Crests.” These three crests apparently represent the three different cultures or factions around which the Black Armory will likely revolve.
The teaser image for the Black Armory with the fish symbol on the weapon
Symbolism partly already known: The symbol with the fish can also be found on some images for the upcoming DLC. The fish adorn a weapon that the alleged new vendor from the Black Armory holds in their hands.
It is therefore likely that the three houses will each have their very own weapons for players to obtain.
What’s interesting about it: In the Destiny universe, houses have only been organized among the Fallen so far. However, it is unlikely that the Black Armory revolves around this alien race. What could this be?
Clever fans on Reddit have now discovered that the individual symbols on the shirt are partly real symbols:
For example, the sickle (at the bottom of the front of the shirt) is a symbol for Chronos or Saturn.
The leaves (top right on the back of the T-shirt) together form a symbol called Zeus’ staff or Jupiter’s staff.
The Viking ship (top left on the back) bears the cross of Jerusalem or the Taxila cross, which is often used to represent water or a body of water.
Here the fish can also be clearly seen on the weapon
Fans are now pursuing the theory that these may be hints about the origins of the three lost cultures – more specifically, about planets and their moons. It is possible that the respective houses were located there during the Golden Age of humanity.
When will there be more info? Whether this will be a lore or history lesson for Guardians, or whether these elements will also affect quest progression or gameplay, is not yet known. However, Bungie has scheduled a new ViDoc for November 27, where concrete information about the contents of the Black Armory is finally expected.
Additionally, a calendar is also supposed to be released that illustrates what Guardians can expect for the rest of the year.
If you want to aim high in Red Dead Redemption 2, you must also be able to fall deep. The killer trampoline makes it possible.
As Arthur Morgan, numerous players are still roaming the landscapes of Red Dead Redemption 2 and encountering strange incidents. Some players have even found the Ku Klux Klan, which self-ignites or even brings honor when killed. However, some activities are much more fun – like this trampoline jump.
Together with his horse, the user EvolveStunting wanted to see how far his little horse could jump over certain obstacles. The first jump is skillfully onto a small wooden canopy. The second jump goes further onto a covered shelter – which apparently acts as a trampoline! Arthur is immediately thrown off his mount and safely launched about 70 meters into the air.

The view is beautiful, and you get a great insight into the size of the game world. However, the pleasure does not last long. Logically, Arthur did not survive this fall, and we also estimate the horse’s chance of survival to be rather low.
By the way, EvolveStunting is often on the lookout for such glitches and opportunities to pull off particularly spectacular stunts. In this YouTube video, you can admire some of his ambitious attempts (and a few funny fails):

In Fortnite: Battle Royale, there was a scandal. Twitch star Ninja streamed for a good cause and thought he would be playing with superstar Drake. However, that was not the case.
What’s the deal with Drake and Ninja? When Ninja streamed a few rounds of Fortnite in March 2018 together with musician and superstar Drake, it resulted in a record number of over 600,000 viewers on Twitch and really kickstarted Ninja’s career.
So Ninja was excited when suddenly during a stream for a good cause, Drake wanted to join the game.
Racist insults in the charity stream
Ninja was pretty happy that the superstar wanted to play with him again. It wasn’t that unlikely: After all, it was for a good cause. The stream was part of a show by the popular host Ellen, the only woman Ninja has played with so far.

Is it really Drake? However, there were a few strange things about Drake.
First he said nothing, and then his ping was absurdly high. It almost seemed as if Drake was not on the same continent at all.
Racist troll instead of superstar: Ninja’s doubts about the authenticity of “Drake” were soon confirmed. Suddenly, the supposed musician began unleashing a stream of racist insults, including the infamous “N-word”.
It quickly became apparent that Drake’s account had likely been taken over by a malicious hacker and troll. Ninja quickly ended the connection, reported the hacker to Epic, and also informed Drake about the account theft.
We’ll spare you the actual scene, but here is the reaction immediately after Ninja left the match.

Playing MMORPGs is a time-consuming hobby. Some raids alone take several hours. But are there online role-playing games where you can have fun without investing a lot of time?
Over time, MMORPGs have changed. From pure group games to online games where you can achieve something alone as well. This change is due to the fact that player preferences are shifting.
Older gamers have less time to play due to work and family. Younger players, on the other hand, are used to being able to achieve something in shorter gaming sessions due to mobile games or also MOBAs and online shooters.
Players still enjoy the scope, complexity, and the multiplayer aspect of MMORPGs. But often there is simply not enough time to engage with content in the long term. That’s why today we present you eight MMOs that you can enjoy even when you have little time to play.
What is MapleStory 2? MapleStory 2 is the currently very successful sequel to the extremely popular anime MMORPG MapleStory in Asia. You are wandering through a colorful anime world where, typical for an MMORPG, you create a hero and lead him through a story. Along the way, you complete many quests, some of which you can do alone or together with friends. Over time, your hero becomes stronger and you acquire better equipment.
In addition, you build a house and furnish it according to your ideas or participate in mini-games. You can meet with other players for parties or even create your own mini-games. MapleStory 2 cleverly mixes sandbox and theme park elements and combines it all in a cute anime graphics style that also appeals to younger players.
What content does MapleStory 2 offer for casual gamers? MapleStory 2 offers plenty of content that targets different demographics:
Quests are served in small bites
You can approach Housing at your own rhythm
The mini-games do not take much time
Even shorter expeditions into the wilderness can reward you
Is MapleStory 2 worth it for players with little time? MapleStory 2 aims to be a game that caters to a broad audience: fans of theme park MMORPGs and players who love sandbox games. Therefore, even those who cannot dedicate much time to an MMORPG can have a lot of fun in MapleStory 2.

The online shooter Battlefield 5 has now been released and entices with extremely intense battles from World War II. However, according to our author Jürgen, the game creates this “battlefield feeling” almost too well.
My first Battlefield: Hard to believe, but in my now over 20 years of gaming experience, I had never played a Battlefield game before. Somehow these games always passed me by, as I preferred (online) role-playing games, adventures, and wacky shooters like Doom, Fortnite and Borderlands.
The modern war setting of Call of Duty or Battlefield was always less appealing to me. Instead, I enjoyed playing the Star Wars version Battlefront.
But as part of my job as an editor at MeinMMO, I was assigned Black Ops 4 earlier this year and now Battlefield 5 as well. So, I started the game last night and played a few rounds with a buddy.
To the front!
This is not Fortnite: Before the round, I fiddled around a bit in the menus and customized my soldiers. I have been a total skin junkie since Fortnite and was a bit disappointed that Battlefield had more traditional uniforms in muddy camouflage and field grey.
The first battle begins: So, I soon stopped the military fashion show and started a “Grand Operation” with my friend. According to my buddy, these are the best way to get into the game, as they are quite quick despite the name, and one would play a sort of mini-campaign on different maps.
In our case, it was the first advance of the Wehrmacht in the blitzkrieg against France at the beginning of the war. Our mission was: As paratroopers, capture enemy artillery positions so that the main advance can proceed unhindered.
What an atmosphere: The round actually started in a transport plane, where our entire squad was present. An NPC sergeant even conducted a final troop inspection and directed me to the aircraft’s hatch.
There, I saw for the first time the “Battlefield”. A green landscape scarred by ugly brown trenches. Thick guns stood in between, our target. Meanwhile, anti-aircraft batteries were unleashing death and destruction into the sky. The flak shells detonated everywhere around my plane.
A plane in formation was recently shredded by the shells and crashed burning to the ground with its occupants. “Oh shit!” I exclaimed: “This is really like in the war here!”
And I had to jump into this inferno as a poor soldier? But well, the mission objective doesn’t fulfill itself, and my comrades needed me, after all, I was a medic and had to provide for the wounded. So I bravely jumped out of the plane, towards the battle.
War without mercy
Down on the ground, things heated up immediately. I came down together with a few other soldiers, and enemy fire rapidly thinned our ranks. I ran crouched through a trench, trying to save what could be saved as a medic. There was no shortage of wounded, my comrades were falling like flies in the hail of bullets.
The horror of war: And even if I hadn’t been a medic, I could hardly have brought myself to leave the poor devils behind. Because in Battlefield 5, the wounded moan and scream for mercy.
No mercy for medics: The thought of leaving my protected trench never even occurred to me in the face of the deadly defensive fire. It was just unfortunate that the enemy thought differently and a foe with an assault rifle sneaked up on me and shot me down treacherously. The Geneva Convention is probably not taken seriously in Battlefield, and medics are fair game.
A shocking experience
From then on, I played more offensively and rushed bravely together with comrades into the enemy positions. There ensued wild skirmishes and a chaotic mess of gunfire, explosions, crumbling buildings, and piercing screams.
Like in Grandpa’s war stories: I was increasingly reminded of my grandfather’s dramatic war stories. He had fought in a similar place during the war, and the whole scenery seemed frighteningly familiar.
This is almost too much atmosphere: Battlefield 5 almost does too good a job at depicting the battlefield. Because as much fun as the cinematic battles are, I always have in the back of my mind the thought that almost 80 years ago, a battle similar to this had really raged here in Europe and that the poor front-line soldiers back then had no respawns and no “instant medic revives”.
Should war be fun? By the way, I never had this uneasy feeling in Battlefront, even though I burned up for the thousandth time as a Stormtrooper or Clone Trooper in enemy fire. The conflict in a galaxy far, far away is clearly fictional despite almost identical gameplay, while World War II was a tangible and real war whose effects are still felt today. Among other things, the suffocating feeling I have while playing.
Unfortunately still awesome: It becomes all the more uncomfortable because the damn game is actually a lot of fun. But there always remains that uneasy feeling triggered by the setting.
But enough of my views and feelings about the game: What do you think of this topic? Is Battlefield just a shooter with a known historical setting for you, where you shouldn’t think too much? Or is it more problematic to market real conflicts from the recent past with millions of victims as a game?
Fortnite: Battle Royale and the new part of Disney’s animated film Ralph Breaks the Internet offers you a new dance emote. The new dance is, by the way, free. Find out here how to get it.
What does Ralph have to do with Fortnite? Some time ago, you could see Ralph, the smelly rascal from the well-known Disney film “Ralph Breaks the Internet” on screen at Risky Reels. There, he awkwardly moved around on a dance floor.
Disney and Epic have done it again: This whole action was an initial hint at a renewed collaboration between Disney and Epic Games. The last such collaboration led to the dangerously unbalanced, but still fun Infinity Gauntlet mode.
The dance from the movie is now in the game: This dance from the Risky Reels movie, called “Hot Marat” is now in the game. You can get it in the item shop.
How to get the dance: To claim the dance, you just need to log in. Then the dance is currently available for 0 V-Bucks. Otherwise, it would cost 500 (about 5 euros).
How long will the free action last? Epic has not revealed that, but if you want to make sure you get the Ralph dance, then hurry up and log in immediately. Then you are safe and can celebrate your victories in Ralph style.

Is there more to come? The emote proves that Epic and Disney are indeed collaborating and possibly planning further promotional actions. The new film “Ralph Breaks the Internet” already premiered in the USA on November 21, 2018. Here in Germany, the film with the German title “Ralph Reicht’s 2: Chaos im Netz” will unfortunately only be released on January 24, 2018.
If you get the dance, you can also get the legendary Chicken Trooper as a skin this weekend:
