In the story missions, you can earn experience points multiple times, as you receive points during the mission as well as upon completion. Additionally, you can repeat the quests as long as your story missions do not disappear. However, you only receive the money bonus for your first completion.
If you complete the missions with all gold challenges, you will get even more XP.
Side Missions: Side missions are indicated to you with orange or red markers. They usually consist of tasks that can generally be completed quickly. Sometimes you may need to take someone down or deliver mail within a time limit.
If you prefer more adrenaline and want to compete against other players, the competitive Showdown Playlist is probably your best choice. Currently, six different modes are available where you can show who the best outlaw in the Wild West is.
The PvP modes offer the highest XP output – but only if you are successful. The bonuses you receive for a victory make this type of leveling up so efficient.
If you do not feel like missions or PvP, you can also simply chase challenges. There are challenges for many different playstyles, whether you prefer to go hunting, skin animals, buy or sell items, or simply take down opponents or other players with the various weapons.
Of course, you have to repeat these activities a few times, but with every milestone, you will receive a certain amount of experience points. To give you a little more incentive, you will even receive a special belt buckle for some challenges, which you can use to adorn your character.

Pokémon GO announced the trainer battles. I was invited to test the PvP battles at a press event in Munich ahead of time. Throughout the event, my Pokémon heart raced.
I will tell you how the gaming experience was and give you a taste of PvP.
I was in Pokémon heaven
When I discovered an ad in July that MeinMMO is looking for a Pokémon GO author, I never dreamed that I would someday be one of the first trainers to test a new feature of Pokémon GO.
When Niantic invited me to this event, a small dream of mine came true.

This is why I was so excited: As I drove to Munich on the day of the event, my anticipation grew with every kilometer. Me, a small Pokémon GO player, get to test PvP before everyone else? How cool is that?
Here’s how the presentation went: Via Skype, Pokémon GO product manager Matt Slemon and game designer Rob Giusti joined from San Francisco. They made their presentation and introduced point after point.
With each new feature, my heart raced even more, and I couldn’t wait to try the mode. And I was finally allowed to do so.
This is how PvP can be played
This is how we were able to test the mode: Anne Beuttenmüller, Head of Product Marketing at Niantic, handed us all phones with active test accounts from Niantic.
What was special about the accounts: The accounts were different from a normal Pokémon GO account. You could already play with all Pokémon, even those that hadn’t even been released.
The stardust values for a captured Pokémon were enormously high, and leveling up Pokémon was so cheap that I immediately powered up a Pokémon. However, these bonuses have nothing to do with the new battle mode.
How was the gameplay? I then immediately tested the new mode with a press colleague. We fought directly in the Master League, and my eyes sparkled as I battled with Regigigas and Darkrai.
What is special about PvP: I was excited from second one about the trainer battles. Finally, you can apply your Pokémon knowledge and defeat the opponent with clever moves.
Never before has it been so important to use effective Pokémon. You won’t get far with a Stolloss or a Lugia here.
I particularly liked the defense shield that could be used twice per battle. You have to know exactly when to use it to avoid wasting it.
Also the second major feature, the second charge move, is brilliant. You can make your Pokémon so versatile and counter so many opponents with just one Pokémon.
Finally, my knowledge about Pokémon GO is appreciated.
This is why battles against team leaders are cool: After I fought against my opponent a few times, I tried out the battles against team leaders. I find it outstanding that you can play against an opponent anywhere and anytime with this.
I love to battle and have already completed over 20,000 battles at gyms. Battling against team leaders is the cherry on top.
Especially at the beginning, when I didn’t know which Pokémon the team leaders would use, I found it hard to win. I also didn’t know what moves the Pokémon on the test account had.
But I realized that it wouldn’t be easy to defeat the team leaders. I am curious to see what it will be like when I challenge the team leaders with my own account.
Testing until the doctor arrives
I was so engrossed in playing: Actually, the event was supposed to end around 5:30 PM. When I put my test phone aside at a quarter past six, I realized how empty the room already was.
Most of the press representatives had already gone home. Only three other colleagues were still testing. We were all excited about the new feature.
I would have liked to play longer and try many more things on Niantic’s account.
However, I said goodbye to all the remaining attendees and left the building with a big smile. In the end, I exchanged my friend code with Spieletrend, who later even sent me pictures of the entire afternoon via email.
I was so completely thrilled that I was probably the happiest Pokémon player in Munich all evening.
This is why you can look forward to it: When Niantic releases the trainer battles this month, you can also look forward to it. I went into the appointment with a lot of skepticism and wondered how Niantic would implement this system. But I can tell you that I was completely blown away. So look forward to the release as well. I hope it can convince you as much as it convinced me.
Such an invitation can gladly come again. I am definitely in for a second round. Now I am eagerly awaiting the release of PvP. I can hardly wait to challenge all my friends to battles.

Only the word “kill” is not used in the game; when Melody takes down an opponent, the father-daughter duo uses the word “Murk”.

With the active tincture, you will find a portal near the cliffs that leads you into the Ascendant world.
In the Ascendant Realm , you may now collect three or four Ark charges scattered throughout and bring them to the center of the realm. They are marked. While you collect the charges, you will be pursued by knights and many other enemies.
Once you have slammed enough charges in the center, a light source appears, which quickly recharges your super. You can use this power to eliminate the hefty knights.
Tips:
Bring one or two friends, as this challenge is quite difficult solo. The recommended power level is 550.
You may also choose to forgo the light source and instead find a safe spot from which to pick off the knights with a sniper.
Watch out for the Taken Blight that slow you down. Since you should always keep moving, these can be deadly.
Don’t forget to loot the chest after defeating the knights. Only then is the Ascendant challenge completed.

Legendary pistols
Anti-Burned Training Pistol
Weapon type: Automatic 10mm pistol
Properties: +25% damage against Burned, -20% damage against all other enemies
Location: You receive the Anti-Burned pistol during the main quest “Those Who Walk Through Fire” before the Belching Betty Mine. It is one of the first legendary weapons you can obtain. The weapon is comparable to the mods you can craft later when you collect the rare material Ultracite.
Somerset Special

Properties: Ignores 50% armor
Location: In the town of Morgantown, the event “Back on Patrol” occasionally starts. The Somerset Special is one of the rewards.

Camden Whacker

Black Diamond

The Weapons of the Order of Mysteries
There are two other legendary weapons that stand out from the rest. They are the reward for a longer series of side quests during which you join the Order of Mysteries.
The two weapons cannot be modified, but can always be upgraded to a new level. You will learn a recipe and can equip the weapons at a workbench.
But beware: You always need a variant in your inventory as material for crafting. Therefore, you should not sell the weapons immediately.
The Voice of Set

Properties: additional electrical damage against robots
The Sword of Bastet
Weapon type: One-handed melee weapon (sword)
Properties: Improved armor penetration
This is how the weapons become even stronger: Another feature of the weapons is that you can further enhance them. When you wear the “Eye of Ra”, which you also receive by completing the quest, all items of the Order of Mysteries will be strengthened.
The Voice of Set then deals even more damage and has the chance to stun robots. The Sword of Bastet gains even greater armor penetration.
Finding and farming legendary weapons
Some weapons are available from traders, legendary enemies, or events. These enemies are often rare, and the weapons at the merchants are not always available. Events also appear randomly on the map.
Many players use a trick to effectively get the weapons they want. They use the server technology of Fallout 76 to quickly change phases through “server hopping” to search for the desired items.
With the latest patch for Fallout 76 from December 4th, “server hopping” has become slightly less attractive. Many enemies now give less experience. In the undocumented patch notes, there is also a nerf for the technique. Looted containers remain empty when switching servers.
