In GTA 5 Online there is now the RC Bandito. This is a small toy car that you can load with deadly explosives to eliminate annoying opponents.
What’s new? You can now buy the RC Bandito in GTA Online. The requirement is owning an Arena property. The RC Bandito is a small car that zips explosively through the streets.
What weapons does the Bandito have? Kinetic and EMP mines can be attached to the body. Just drive towards unsuspecting opponents with the bombs, honk briefly, and then blow them away. This works especially well against annoying trolls who destroy your deliveries.
How much does the RC Bandito cost? For this, you have to shell out 1,590,000 GTA$. You buy the car just like any other from Southern San Andreas Super Autos.
Don’t have enough cash for the car? Here’s how to easily make big money:
Request Bandito in GTA Online: After purchasing the RC Bandito, it won’t simply appear like all other cars in your garage. You request it via the quick selection menu (M on PC, hold Select on the controller). Then select “Inventory” and request “RC Bandito.” You’ll immediately go into a loading screen and then you’re in the mini car.
This works in Free Roam.
8 new races for RC Bandito: Along with the new car, Rockstar Games released 8 races. In them, you can now earn double GTA$ and RP as rewards.
Since the little fun vehicle was released in GTA Online, players have been testing it vigorously.
Disappearing from the map with the RC Bandito: The catch with this vehicle is that you are not shown to other players on the map when you drive it. This is particularly effective as other players only see the danger late. The small car is hard to notice on the road and makes hardly any noise.
So if you know where an opponent is, you drive the car to him. He doesn’t notice you on the map. And boom, you blow him and his vehicle away. Particularly useful for revenge missions against people who disrupted you during missions.
A few impressions of the kills with the RC Bandito can be found in the compilation that we embed here.

New information about Hati has surfaced in World of Warcraft. The beloved companion will be able to do much more than before.
When hunters lost their companion Hati at the end of World of Warcraft: Legion, the frustration was great. There was no proper farewell, and without the wolf Hati, an essential part was simply missing. With Patch 8.1.5, Hati will celebrate his return in a small quest line and have some additional surprises!
Hati as a mount: In the latest version of Patch 8.1.5, many new items related to Hati have emerged. Hunters can apparently obtain them after completing the new quest line about Hati. The “Ironspine Protocol” can be used to increase Hati’s size and constitution, allowing him to be ridden by the player! Currently, the item is unique and can only be kept 5 times in the inventory.
More toys for Hati: In addition to the riding feature, other items have also appeared, which hunters can use to further modify or play with Hati. So far, the following are known:
Voltweave Fez: Puts a fez hat on Hati.
Jolt Jerky: Give Hati a treat that heals him for a small amount. Sometimes Hati gets so happy that he jumps on you and licks your face wildly, causing nature damage.
Rubber Ball: Throw the ball for Hati.
Charged Sparkstone: Brings forth the dormant lightning powers within Hati, visually enhancing Hati’s abilities.
Unique items or reusable? Since these items are consumables or have limited charges, it can be assumed that hunters can purchase these items multiple times to trigger the effect repeatedly. However, this has not yet been confirmed.
Are you excited about these items for Hati and his return? Or is it unfair that hunters are getting back part of their artifact weapon?

The survival MMO Atlas rewards mainly hardcore players and large companies. Solo players or small groups usually do not get very far. Grapeshot Games wants to change that.
What is going on? Those who want to succeed in the survival MMO Atlas must join a large company. They dominate the official servers and reach the endgame content faster as a team. Small groups or even solo players often find no place to build. Even the Kraken, the current final boss in Atlas, is unattainable for many players.
Our author Benedict finds the solo play experience in Atlas to be quite underwhelming:
This means that the developers constantly receive feedback about it. Their game design is too focused on hardcore players and large groups.
Grapeshot Games responds: Solo players and small groups will be given an easier entry in the future. They should get to know the pirate aspect of the game faster and feel safer when logging out. However, feedback will only be addressed after the next major patch, version 17.0, at the end of February.
Going solo against a Cyclops? No chance.
For large companies, a better incentive will be created to share their territories with others. Both the neutral areas should benefit both the owners and users. But the MMO aspect will also be further expanded. Player markets, player-specific automated trade routes, additional quests, and daily missions will provide enough challenges for solo players as well.
Details about the individual changes have not yet been provided by the developers. Grapeshot Games is also working on further unspecified quality-of-life adjustments that should improve the game experience. The focus on bugs, exploits, cheats, and hacks remains a major part of the work. There have been ongoing problems and allegations in Atlas.
With the large patch V17, a submarine will also come into play. However, players are afraid of the technological advancement in Atlas:

The update 0.133.0 has caused quite a stir in the Trainer battles of Pokémon GO. Especially the attacks have received a revision.
What happened? The new Pokémon GO update is currently rolling out and the first players have downloaded the APK file. There, they noted some changes to the PvP mode.
The attacks used for battling now have their own values that are displayed. This means that the attacks have two different values:
Once for arenas and raids
and then also for PvP.
This is new with the update
What does this change in attacks look like? Each attack has different damage values in Pokémon GO. The attacks, regardless of their effectiveness, deal different amounts of damage to opponents.
The values already dealt different amounts of damage, but were never displayed with the Pokémon. There were now the values for raids and arenas. Now each Pokémon has two different classifications for its attacks: once for arenas and raids and now also for PvP.
What does this change bring? This change is purely cosmetic. There has been no change in gameplay as the values in the code were already changed. Now it is better clarified for the players.
Charge attacks, such as Shadow Ball, now have only one bar instead of two. However, the bars did not play a significant role in PvP and were more of interest in raids.
This is also new in Trainer battles: For players who have regularly turned the game sound on, there is now something new to hear. The music playing in Trainer battles has changed.
There is now a completely new melody, fitting for the PvP mode. However, the music has no impact on the battle itself.
What else is new in the update? Data miner Chrales also searched for innovations in the update and found some. He came across:
Patch 1.08 in FIFA 19 has significantly weakened the Timed Finesse Shots. This changes the game sustainably. The community celebrates: “Finally, football is being played!”
This is Patch 1.08: The latest title update in FIFA 19 was released last week on PC. Since yesterday, the new version is also available on consoles. The main point of the update: The strongest shot in the game has been nerfed.
This shot is the “Timed Finesse Shot” – the finesse shot with activated Timed-Finishing. The community criticized that the skill difference in the game was hardly noticeable due to Timed Finesse Shots, which still went into the goal even with bad timing.
Players who relied solely on this shot were able to beat opponents who played significantly more combination-based football. But with the patch, the game has noticeably changed:
Bad timing on a Timed Finesse Shot now causes the ball to land in the stands instead of in the goal. This suddenly requires an adjustment.
How the game has changed since the patch
Play slower, score harder: In the FIFA subreddit, players are discussing the patch extensively. The majority of the votes are positive – even though problems like bugs, faulty player substitutions, or the still very strong AI defending are still criticized.
Especially the last point is crucial in connection with the Timed Finesse Shot: Defending with AI-controlled defenders is still very strong. And this, despite the fact that there has already been a patch aimed at improving manual defending.
Dribbling and passing: Because the defense is still very tough to break through, many players relied on Timed Finesse Shots from a distance. As these now frequently miss the goal, players are looking for other ways to score.
Players are dependent on making clever runs, decisive passes at the right moment, or skillful dribbling to create gaps in the opponent’s defense. Once inside the box, the Low Driven Shot (L1+R1 and Circle) is regaining popularity.
In short: Other offensive skills are suddenly in the foreground.
This makes the game somewhat slower, as players have to act more thoughtfully instead of just taking a shot. At the same time, FIFA 19 matches, according to the community, suddenly resemble a real football match. However, there are also voices that criticize the patch.
Corners and headers suddenly OP?
Players are seeking alternative ways: Since not every player enjoys combining their way into the box but can no longer rely on long shots as a guaranteed goal, many are currently trying crosses.
The YouTuber “NepentheZ 2” had already pointed out before the patch that crosses might be excessively strong: Players like Flashback-Ibrahimovic, who is currently used in many teams, or Gareth Bale have no problem scoring even from hopeless situations with a header.

The crossing placebo effect: With patch 1.08, many players feared a “header meta”. And indeed: Currently, there are more cross attempts and header goals being observed. However, this could be a kind of “self-fulfilling prophecy” or a placebo effect.
The community doubts on Reddit that the patch has actually affected the success rate of crosses and headers. Even before the update, this was a promising technique that was just rarely used – after all, Timed Finesse Shots were still significantly more effective.
Now, as more players focus on crosses, logically more goals of this kind are scored.

This week, Guardians in Destiny 2 can once again make a sacrifice and meet Mara Sov. What she has to say this time may confuse some players.
What happened? With the Weekly Reset on January 29, it was once again time for players to work on a sacrifice and visit the Oracle in the Dreaming City. Once again, the Queen of the Awoken, Mara Sov, invited players for an audience.
However, this week she had no new holograms to show, but certainly had much more to say. While players who have just started with Destiny 2 may have puzzled over her words, Destiny 1 players may have had a small light bulb moment with the Queen’s words.
Attention: The following lines contain spoilers for the current visit with the Queen. If you have not yet completed this and do not want to know about the story, you should not read further.
What does the Queen say? This week we meet Mara Sov on her throne. She speaks about how light and darkness must always be in balance. Then she talks about a friend she dreamed of having in the future who told her that one should always choose a side.

Why is this important? Mara Sov uses very similar words in her monologue that the Exo Stranger had already used in Destiny 1. Translated, the Queen says:
If there is too much darkness in the universe, light must drive it away. And if there is too much light, darkness must overshadow it. This truth is our burden. That is what it means to be an Awoken.
I dreamed of a friend I will have. She will tell me: One should always choose a side. Even if it is the wrong side. I think I will like her.
In Destiny 1, the Exo Stranger guided us on our path to the Black Garden. There, Guardians were to fight the dark heart located in the center of the garden.
When the Stranger could not help us find the garden, our Ghost suggested visiting the Awoken of the Reef. A video of the meeting with the Stranger can be found here. Translated, the Stranger had this to say to the Awoken:
Ah yes. The Awoken. Out there, they waver between light and darkness. One should always choose a side, little light. Even if it is the wrong side.
What could this mean? Perhaps the Exo Stranger will still play a role in the story of Destiny 2. The last official comment on that character came from Luke Smith, who said that the storyline with the Stranger was concluded.
On the other hand, the Queen’s statement could also just be a small highlight for Destiny 1 players.
What does the community say? This small reminder of Destiny 1 is well-received by the players. Many Guardians have directly linked the Queen’s words to the Exo Stranger and are now speculating whether the character might be related to the story about the Dreaming City.
This has led to the theory that Mara Sov sent the Stranger in Destiny 1 to find us and lead us to the Awoken. A clue for the connection between the two characters seems to be that Mara disappears during her current visit with a similar effect as the Exo did in Destiny 1.
Did you think of the Exo Stranger during your visit with Mara? What do you think the character could have to do with the story of Destiny 2?
The race for the last kills in the Battle of Dazar’alor in World of Warcraft is on. Here you can follow it live.
For several hours now, the big race for the First Kills in the new raid “Battle of Dazar’alor” has broken out in World of Warcraft again. While the Americans have already killed 7 out of 9 bosses before it even started in Europe, guilds like Method and Exorsus have now started their catch-up.
The special thing: This time you can be there live and watch the guys struggle with the mythic bosses of the current WoW raid!
Progress streams from Method and Exorsus
Method’s stream: The professional guild Method is streaming the progress on multiple streams, so you can follow the action from many different perspectives. Why are the pros streaming now? In the past, the race for the First Kills was a secret affair. The pros didn’t want other guilds to see their strategies and give away valuable tips. However, players have realized that the race for the First Kills can be wonderfully marketed by allowing many fans and viewers to participate. Therefore, some guilds are now offering livestreams and exclusive insights into the challenging progress runs.
Will you continue to follow the race for the First Kills? Or are you just waiting for the final winner?
What is it about? Nowadays, when playing a multiplayer game with PvP content, one must expect that a kill will be presented to a large audience. Competitive games like PUBG are popular on streaming platforms. It is quite possible that the embarrassing death, where your own vehicle ran you over, was captured by a streamer.
It is also possible that you took out a streamer and they recorded the whole thing. An app now shows you if that was the case in the last few days and then directs you to the corresponding video. You can also see the streamer’s reaction at the same time.
Find out if you killed a streamer: On the website PUBG.report, you can enter the name of a PUBG account. When you start the search, the website will find out if a streamer was killed by that account in PUBG, or whether the streamer has the player’s death on their conscience.
In the search results, you will see who killed whom, which weapon was used, and how many meters apart the players were. Here you see an overview from TSM_BreaK:
Here’s how you see the video of your kill: If you now click on one of the videos, you will be redirected to the Twitch VOD on the next page. It will take you directly to the corresponding spot where the mentioned kill occurred.
Are all kills listed? The search results are limited to kills from the last 14 days. Anything older will not be shown. Also, it currently only applies to PC players’ accounts. In the future, console data will also be included. Support for streams on the Mixer platform will also be available soon.
Who runs the site? The app was developed by one of the PUBG API community developers, who uses the free PUBG API provided by the game.
On the site, you will also find many impressive kills of the streamer Shroud:
The current patch for the online game Fallout 76 has caused a stir as it brings several issues. However, it also takes action against item duplication, which players welcome.
What is the problem?Item dupers make life difficult for players in Fallout 76. Using exploits, they create copies of very powerful weapons and then sell them, for example via eBay. This destroys the balance in the online game, as it allows more players to quickly defeat low-level players in PvP with these weapons. In addition, duplication ruins the in-game economy.
Bethesda against Dupers
How is Bethesda now addressing this? With the latest patch, the developers reduce the carry weight of characters.
The allowed carry weight must now not exceed 1,500 pounds over your regular carry weight.
If your character has a carry weight of 210 pounds, it may carry a maximum of 1,710 pounds.
It is not possible to exceed this new maximum limit.
If you had already exceeded the current maximum weight before the update was applied, you must first clear your inventory before you can collect new items.
It is also no longer possible to pick up caps when reaching the maximum carry weight.
This new carry weight now makes it impossible for dupers to carry large amounts of duplicated items, which should annoy them significantly.
Additionally, two exploits that allowed item duplication with a MODUS vendor and with blueprints have been fixed.
Players mostly welcome the change
How do players react to these changes? Aside from the fact that the patch is generally controversial, fans of Fallout 76 are very positive about Bethesda finally taking action against the dupers. However, how effective this will be remains to be seen, and the patch must first function correctly.
However, some players are disappointed that they can no longer carry as many items. The developers assure these fans that they will work on a solution in the future. Perhaps the size of the storage will be increased again. However, the rescue of the in-game economy has priority now.

A student from Thailand has died in the capital city of Bangkok. The reason was the mobile MMO Arena of Valor, for which the player was looking for the optimal signal and fell to his death.
How the student died: A 21-year-old student from the city of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand tragically died during a trip to the capital city of Bangkok.
The reason was likely the popular mobile MOBA Arena of Valor. The student was staying at a hotel with friends and wanted to play a round of the highly popular mobile MOBA in Asia.
However, his mobile reception was poor, and the player was looking for a location with better reception. He eventually went out of the room onto the balcony, where he suspected a better connection.
Signal search ends fatally
Initially, everything seemed to be going smoothly, but then the student’s character suddenly stopped moving in the game. His friends went to check what was going on and went out to the balcony. There they encountered a horrific sight.
Their friend had apparently fallen from the hotel balcony while searching for the signal and had died.
His phone was reportedly still lying next to the body. According to the local police, the incident was indeed a tragic accident. A suicide is currently being ruled out based on the investigations.
What is Arena of Valor? The “Mobile LoL” from China is especially popular in Asia and offers quick MOBA rounds on smartphones and the Switch. The game has already caused scandals in China, as teenagers became almost addicted to it.
Arena of Valor is considered extremely immersive. Players get as immersed in the mobile MOBA as desktop players do in League of Legends. This apparently proved to be fatal for the young Thai.
You can find a game report on Arena of Valor here:
With Season 6, the maximum Power Level of Guardians in Destiny 2 will be raised by another 50 levels to 700. Numerous players will try to reach the new cap as quickly as possible. However, a popular leveling method will no longer be available: hoarding Bounties.
What happened? As the developers explained in the current “This Week at Bungie” blog, the studio will implement changes to the distribution of powerful rewards through Bounties from previous seasons at the start of the Season of the Vagabond.
All Bounties accepted in previous seasons will now have a Power Level cap for the resulting reward. This cap will be equal to the level cap that was active at the time of acceptance.
With this, Bungie aims to prevent so-called Bounty Hoarding and ensure equal conditions for everyone at the beginning of a new season.
What is Bounty Hoarding? It is a popular Power Level method with which many players try to reach the new maximum level as quickly as possible when the level cap increases.
To do this, Guardians hoard as many Bounties and Quests that grant powerful rewards as possible before an upcoming level increase. They complete these Bounties without redeeming them. Raid keys are also stocked for this purpose.
Once the new level cap goes live, they redeem all these Bounties. The corresponding rewards will then already exceed the old level cap. This allows for huge jumps toward the new maximum level right at the start of a new season.
Bounty Hoarding is practically like doing intensive homework before a new season. Bungie likely prefers that everyone relaxes and starts fresh with the new season without players feeling disadvantaged for not having intensively prepared for the new DLC.
Therefore, you should turn in your Bounties at the end of a season: As part of this change, Bungie explicitly advises Guardians to turn in Bounties even before the end of a season.
If you do not do this, not only will there be no reward beyond the old level cap, but you might also miss the chance for a powerful reward with the new Power Level.
Bungie gives a specific example from practice:
For example, one accepts a large weekly Wanted Bounty from Spider during the current season of the Forge, completes it, and then turns it in
If you redeem the reward after the start of the upcoming Season of the Vagabond, the resulting loot will be at 650
However, if you had turned in the Bounty before the end of Season 5, you could potentially accept it again at the beginning of Season 6, but you would receive a reward that is already above 650
If you turn in the last season’s Bounty at the beginning of the new season, where it may also still be active, you will initially not be able to accept it again. You will have to wait until the respective Bounty comes back around
The ban system of Dead by Daylight is in effect. The toxic and hated streamer “Ochido” has faced the consequences.
Just a few days ago, Dead by Daylight announced that players can now also be banned on the consoles PS4 and Xbox One. This was laughed off by the community, as they simply did not believe the developers. But now there is solid evidence: the controversial streamer and YouTuber “Ochido” has been banned.
Who is Ochido? The YouTuber and streamer Ochido is considered a prime example in the Dead by Daylight community of everything that’s wrong with the game.
Whenever there was a bug, he massively exploited it and processed it in videos. His fellow players or opponents often suffered, as they could no longer participate in any “normal” games. Furthermore, he repeatedly caused a disconnect to lower his own rank so that he could compete against weaker players – this is also forbidden.

In addition, he repeatedly insults his fellow players or the game’s developers in his videos and mocks them sharply.
However, one must also say that Ochido had quite a large fan base who liked his insulting and toxic behavior or simply enjoyed his compilations of the “funniest moments in Dead by Daylight” – a very “special” kind of humor (i.e., annoying).
After Ochido had already been banned multiple times on PC due to his behavior, he switched to the console version of Dead by Daylight because there was no functioning ban system there. He felt safe.
That has now changed: On the very first day after the introduction of a ban system, Ochido was also banned on the PS4.
Ochido begs the developer for mercy: Just a few hours after the incident, Ochido appeared in the Twitch stream of Mathieu Cote, the Game Director of Dead by Daylight. There he cheered with “Twitch Bits” to get the developer’s attention and pleaded to be unbanned.

Cote responded that it must be an important thing for him, but he is having his day off today and will not be dealing with it – he did not want to have that discussion right here and now.
That Ochido is trying this is logical – as Dead by Daylight is likely a significant source of income for him. After all, Ochido has over 500,000 subscribers, most of whom are due to his videos about Dead by Daylight. Without being able to play the game, he is likely to lose a lot of income.
Was the ban justified? Ochido claims that he has not used any major exploits for about 6-7 months and has also “not shown the developers in his videos” any longer.
He and some of his fans find the ban unjustified, as there have been no serious offenses at least in recent times. The ban was likely carried out based on reports that were made before the ban system came into effect. Players could have reported others before, but it had no effect on consoles.
The community is excited: At least on Reddit, the players of Dead by Daylight are thrilled. Ochido was considered one of the most toxic players who cast a bad light on Dead by Daylight and the entire community. As a result, numerous memes are making their way into the DbD subreddit, and the ban is being celebrated.
Do you know Ochido and his videos? Is it a good decision to ban such players? Or is a YouTuber with so many subscribers important for a game, even if he behaves toxically?
Anthem has now launched into the VIP demo, granting early access to pre-orderers. The first hours of the demo have been marked by server issues and bugs. However, many who managed to play Anthem are thrilled.
This is what happened: Right after the start of the VIP demo, servers crashed on all platforms. Some managed to get into the game. Those who can play without major issues are excited. Above all, the feeling of flying with the Javelin is praised.
Technical problems and bugs: Initially, it seemed that the problems were primarily due to server instability. However, it is now clear that Anthem is also struggling with some bugs in the demo.
Known bugs include
players getting stuck on a loading screen when going on a mission
In the meantime, Origin even went completely down. This is EA’s in-house distribution platform. It also becomes clear that the developers had significant technical difficulties.
Technical problems frustrate players
As an experienced MMO player, one is actually used to the fact that the launch of a new game never goes smoothly. Server problems are often part of the deal. Nevertheless, such a catastrophic start leaves players who are experiencing issues quite frustrated.
VIP demo access must be paid for: Those who want access to the VIP demo must pre-order Anthem. This grants pre-orderers early access. A free demo of Anthem will follow. It’s as if these players have now paid for a stress test.
Friend keys leave a bitter aftertaste: With the VIP demo, every player receives three codes that they can distribute to friends. This is a nice gesture in itself. This way, you can assemble a complete team for the demo.
However, these codes were also sold by some pre-orderers for a small amount of money. The developers at BioWare tweeted several times with VIP demo codes just before the demo.
The friend keys have turned a VIP demo into a “demo for VIPs and three times as many others”. This influx of players was likely underestimated by EA and BioWare.
What was initially meant as a nice gesture now leaves a bitter aftertaste. Particularly for players who actually pre-ordered Anthem and paid for it.
Anthem demo feels like a beta: The demo of Anthem is different from betas as you normally know them. The demo is a somewhat limited version of the game that is meant to showcase as much as possible.
However, due to the many technical problems, many players feel as if they are playing a beta after all. This emerges from some personal conversations the author held with demo players. Server issues are one thing, but encountering such critical bugs is something else entirely.
This is what MeinMMO readers say about the issues:
DrPimp: “Thanks to everyone who pre-ordered and is now participating in the bug fixing so that we can play carefree and fully next weekend.”
Tebo: “I think it’s great that there’s finally a real demo again. But what are they thinking with this? It worked in the alpha! During every release of an online game, regardless of which game, the servers crash. After a few hours of server maintenance, it always works again. What’s going on?”
Jens Schuch: “I am more hyped about Anthem than I have been about any game before. It may be that the error was completely unforeseeable. But let’s be honest: If I promote something like this, generating such extreme expectations in potentially interested parties, there must be a Plan B in case something goes wrong. The demo is a crucial aspect for a potential purchase.”
Much positive feedback for Anthem’s gameplay
It is striking that the general tone about Anthem’s gameplay is positive. The technical difficulties are annoying, but many find Anthem enjoyable.
In the MeinMMO Discord channel for Anthem , demo players are actively discussing the gameplay. The Discord currently has 3,580 members (as of January 26). Players also express their positive opinions about the game itself in articles about Anthem.
This is what MeinMMO readers say about the gameplay:
Cherubii: “I am already quite positive about the game itself, when it is playable:
The Javelins differ quite a bit from each other,
the difficulty level is definitely not too low and
team play can make a huge difference.
You have a lot of options to play different builds with different purposes through the various loadouts, skills, and weapons.
With flying, evading, and running, it actually feels quite dynamic and
you definitely can’t afford to just rush at enemies or remain in the air constantly to easily mow everything down.
Anthem certainly has its weaknesses and room for improvement, but the world itself is beautifully designed and expansive. The loading screens in between are a bit annoying, and you have to find the right “class” for yourself.”
Sunface: “The technical problems cannot be ignored; they are present. Nonetheless, I was able to complete the available missions and once again find that the gameplay simply feels amazing.
By now, the last person should also realize that Anthem is an RPG and not a shooter. It is nowhere near like Destiny.”
ShoulderDevil: “For me, things even went quite quickly yesterday. I tried free play. I had to get used to the controls a bit at first, but then it went really well. The world is also quite well made. The “events” so far are nothing new, but it’s still fun, and that counts too.”
Cadeyrn 85: “I really like the level and encounter design, the sound is amazing and the world is beautifully crafted. And I can fly like a hefty Iron Man. The stories of the quests are typically great for BioWare.”
Negative feedback on gameplay: Some aspects are already being criticized regarding the gameplay.
On Reddit a post reached 1,400 upvotes regarding the running speed in Fort Tarsis. Many feel it moves too slowly.
There are some loading screens in the open world. Many players did not expect this.
Some players report that they find the flight controls awkward.
Problems are slowly easing
Players are increasingly reporting that they can now enter the demo better. However, the loading screen bug continues to cause issues for many. It’s said that restarting the game directly helps.
The community manager of Anthem, Jesse Anderson, assured that the team is working around the clock to resolve the issues.

Demo version is not the release version: The demo of Anthem differs in build from the release title. The demo is said to be 6 weeks behind the final build regarding bugs and technical issues. It remains to be seen if Anthem will struggle with such serious problems again on release.
Bungie fulfills the wish of many fans and makes the quest for the arguably best exotic sniper in Destiny 2 continuously available.
What happened? With the Update 2.1.4 on January 29, numerous changes were made to the game. One of these is currently bringing joy to many fans.
Because the quest for the exotic sniper rifle Whisper of the Worm is no longer just available on weekends. Guardians can now hunt for the powerful sniper every day.
What exactly has changed with the Whisper quest? Players who do not yet have the Whisper of the Worm can pick up the corresponding quest from the Drifter in the Tower. This quest sends the Guardians to Io in the Lost Oasis area to investigate the Taken anomalies that lead to the Whisper mission.
Previously, the anomalies only appeared between Friday evening and Monday, but now they are available daily. Additionally, you no longer have to wait specifically for a public event with Taken. The anomaly now activates during any public event in the Lost Oasis.
If you have completed the Whisper mission, the follow-up quest for the catalyst now becomes continuously available. However, you can only loot the chests there once a week. Then you have to wait until the next Weekly Reset.
How are the fans reacting? On Reddit and social media, numerous Guardians are celebrating this decision. Especially those who cannot or rarely play on weekends due to family or work circumstances are loudly welcoming this change.
But many who are grinding for the exotic catalyst are also happy about the removal of the previous restrictions.
However, there are also some critical voices who critique that Bungie is too lenient. They claim that if enough people “cry,” things are changed in favor of the casuals.
How do you get the Whisper of the Worm? If you still need the Whisper of the Worm, take a look at our guide. It explains step by step how to obtain the weapon.
The latest patch for Fallout 76 is causing trouble. It reportedly brings back old bugs that were supposed to have been fixed.
What is the problem? The aim of the update was actually to fix many bugs and further improve the game, as can be seen in the patch notes. Apparently, that went wrong. As fans report, additional bugs have appeared due to the update. Many of them were actually already fixed.
Hair clips weigh too much again
Support for widescreen monitors seems to be causing problems as well
A problem with the locations of fusion cores is said to have reoccurred
Fans suspect that the update has reverted Fallout 76 to an old version and that further old bugs may arise. The criticism is not only about the bugs but also about Bethesda’s patch policy in general.
Currently, several GB sized patches are usually released that address all areas of the game. Many players prefer hotfixes and quick fixes for issues, such as player Rubenov:
Things like the weight of the wobbly heads or smaller annoying things should be addressed at any time (the sooner the better) with a hotfix, rather than waiting and bringing them in a big patch in two weeks. This would reduce complaints and improve the game.
Player complains about handling of criticism
Bethesda is cracking down on criticism: In a post from the Fallout subreddit, which has now over 4000 likes, a player complains that the publisher apparently had threads locked in the official forum and on Reddit and has partially deleted posts that expressed criticism of the update. This is at least what user gX-kiD describes.
In fact, a thread in the official Fallout 76 forum was locked after 3 pages of discussion about the patch. The reason given was that the post was drifting too much into bashing. However, a tense but mostly factual discussion was being held. The thread has since been completely deleted.
Some are now even calling for a change in leadership in development. User DestinyHunter2018 fears that otherwise Fallout 76 will face severe problems if the course is not changed.
A very public and openly communicated change must take place. Otherwise, the game is as good as dead. The reputation was never good – whether deserved or not, […] it is still not a finished and optimized product, months after release.
Either way, this handling of feedback contradicts the promise to involve fans more in the development. It remains to be seen whether and how Bethesda will respond to the new criticism, as the game is still far from being bug-free.
What do you think about the issue? Have you had problems since the update?
Apple is currently deep in a crisis. A bug allowed iPhones to turn into listening devices. The bizarre part: A 14-year-old noticed this bug while playing Fortnite a week earlier. He wanted to warn Apple. But he couldn’t get through.
This is how the teenager found the bug: 14-year-old Grant Thompson from Tucson wanted to set up a FaceTime call to talk to his friends before they headed into battle in Fortnite. He invited his buddies to a group call via FaceTime – that’s a video calling app from Apple.
That’s when the boy realized he could already hear his friends even before they joined the call.
The boy immediately recognized the extent of this bug: After all, he could eavesdrop on his friends without their knowledge. He then alerted his mother, Michele, about the bug. The two tried for a week to reach Apple and warn them about the issue.
After several tweets, Facebook posts, calls, and faxes, mother and son exchanged emails with the security team at Apple.
But nothing happened. Only when reports about this bug exploded on Twitter did Apple act and disable “Group FaceTime.”
The bug is that severe: This FaceTime bug is currently causing significant problems. It is being referred to as a “security nightmare for Apple.”
Heise calls “FaceTime” a listening device. With a small trick, it was possible for callers to activate the microphone of the person they were calling from a distance before they answered the call. This allowed FaceTime to be used to eavesdrop on the person called without their knowledge.
This news spread across social media and is apparently now backfiring on Apple. Lawsuits are already being prepared.
If only they had taken the warning from a 14-year-old and his mother seriously a week earlier.
The boy had solid reasons to report the bug to Apple so nicely. He thought as a reward he might get an iPhone X, a MacBook, and a new pair of AirPods. That was his wish list for the “discovery.” It seems none of that came to fruition. (via Engadget)
Even Fortnite itself is threatened by security breaches:
A new starter pack has been announced for Fortnite. According to Epic, the pack along with a new skin should already be available, but that wasn’t the case until recently. Find out here what caused the delay.
When will the new starter pack be released? According to Epic, the skin and pack should appear over the course of today. They mistakenly referred to it as a release, but meant “rollout”. This refers to a variable release period, not a specific time when the product is guaranteed to be available.
Therefore, Epic apologizes for the confusion. As soon as the pack along with the skin is available, we will inform you here.
Update: The pack has now appeared in the shop and can be purchased for 4.99 euros.
Why starter packs are so affordable
As in the past, the new pack will likely be offered for around 4.99 euros. It includes the skin, a backpiece, and 600 V-Bucks (approximately 6 euros). The V-Bucks alone are already worth more than the pack costs. The skin, being an epic skin, is also valued at around 15 euros. Thus, the pack is a real bargain.
The reason for the good offer: Epic does not offer this lucrative deal out of sheer goodwill. Rather, the bargain is a good entry point for spending real money in Fortnite. Because once players have crossed this hurdle, they tend to reach for their credit cards more often in the future when there is an attractive offer in the shop.

In Far Cry New Dawn, we are expecting new villains. This time, there are female bosses to defeat. And it seems that a love-hate relationship is planned.
What’s new in New Dawn? Usually, in Far Cry titles, you deal with men as the main villains. These are often twisted psychos who play crazy games. But in New Dawn, the focus is on women as the main adversaries. The twins Micky and Lou – they were briefly introduced in the gameplay trailer.
However, they are supposed to be just as twisted and devilish as the antagonists from the other Far Cry titles.
This is how you should feel: In an interview with PlayStation Magazine, Jean-Sebastien Decant, Creative Director of Far Cry New Dawn, stated:
“It’s super interesting to find and try new approaches every time. And it’s been a while since we played with the idea of a female villain.” After already working on many Far Cry games, he wanted to change the dynamics that players experience with the villains.
“There were many [one-on-one encounters]. So is there a way that two characters stand in front of your face? And the idea with siblings, you know? They have their own world and then you come into this world. That was the original starting point. You will love to hate [them].” (via wccftech)
What to expect from the twins: In Far Cry 3, there was a female secondary antagonist – Citra Talugmai. Throughout the game, it became clear that she was not quite sane.
It is suspected that the twins in New Dawn are also not quite right in the head and will do all sorts of crazy things. Players expect cold-hearted personalities that will not shy away from any action that they can use to further expand their power.
And the two sisters must be so outrageous that even surprising alliances are formed.
Anthem will have a cash shop featuring cosmetic content. While items can also be earned in-game and prices are not yet final, the community is already discussing the microtransactions.
What is it about? During the VIP demo of Anthem, a player posted a screenshot of the alleged microtransactions on the Anthem subreddit. The image of the cash shop has sparked an interesting debate with more than 1,100 comments.
What is the cash shop in Anthem? In Anthem, cosmetic items, such as cosmetic armor sets for the Javelin, materials like fabrics or metals that change the appearance of the armor, or even emotes are expected to be offered. These can be purchased using the real-money currency Shards or an in-game currency.
Players can earn the in-game currency Coin while playing Anthem.
Why are players discussing it? Especially the amount of currency requested as shown in the image has players thinking. For instance, an armor set costs about 40,000 Coin, the in-game currency, or 2,000 Shards, the real-money currency.
In the post on Reddit, BioWare’s Chris Schmidt already commented that the prices for microtransactions are far from final and that the prices in the image do not reflect reality. What is certain is that they do not want to hide content behind a paywall.
Nonetheless, players are giving their opinions on whether a cash shop is really necessary in a full-priced title and how expensive the offered items should be.
What the community says: Some players speak out against microtransactions in Anthem. They view the screenshot as a kind of “test” from Electronic Arts to see how high they can set the prices for cosmetic items.
Others see fewer issues with the shop as long as the prices remain fair. The comparison with Fortnite is often made, which although sometimes demands high prices for its skins, is free to play. Players wish that if there is a cash shop, further updates and DLCs are free for everyone.
The Anthem producer Mike Gamble stated that they do not want a season pass for the game to avoid unnecessarily splitting the player base. However, BioWare’s Mike Darrah did not rule out that there might eventually be a paid DLC for Anthem.
Some aspiring freelancers see no problem with the shop since they can earn the desired cosmetics through playing. However, some admit that they would rather spend 20 dollars on a skin than grind for 40 hours.
You can play the game without a shop during the open demo this upcoming weekend:
