Pokémon GO has once again launched a campaign against cheaters. Pokémon that have been caught unfairly are now being banned again. Additionally, there are changes to EX-Raids.
Players are now reporting about this: From several communities, there are currently reports that Pokémon are being marked with a red strike. This issue affects spoofers, or cheaters, in Pokémon GO.
Moreover, it seems that spoofers are having issues receiving an EX-Raid invitation. This is also a new development and another blow against cheaters.
Niantic’s battle against cheaters is intensifying
Here’s what the new measures bring: If a Pokémon is marked with a red strike, you can hardly do anything with it. It is blocked for battles or gyms.
This is how Pokémon are now being struck through. Source: reddit
This measure was already implemented in 2016 and 2017 in Pokémon GO and suddenly disappeared in recent years. Now the red strikes are back and apparently more effective.
Previously, it mainly affected players who used bots. Pokémon that were not caught by hand were banned. However, there are now also reports of spoofers who caught every Pokémon manually and still received red strikes.
EX-Raid invitations can no longer be sent to many spoofers. Almost everyone who has received a warning from Niantic seems to be affected.
This makes it easy to identify cheaters in your community. If you are at least a Great Friend, you can try to send the affected player an invitation. If you only get an “Error,” then they probably received a warning from Niantic. The system seems to have been in place for some time, but was only recently thoroughly uncovered.
What exactly are spoofers? This type of cheaters manipulate their GPS location. Thus, they can sit on their sofa but can be running around the world in Pokémon GO thanks to the manipulation.
This violates the guidelines of Pokémon GO and Niantic pursues such players. There can even be permanent bans for this.
With a joystick, spoofers can casually walk through the world
This is how the fight against spoofers is going: Currently, Niantic is quite active in the battle against cheaters. Recently, nearly every user of the cheat software “iSpoofer” received a ban or a warning. If cheaters log in again using this software, they will receive the next ban.
The latest patch of Dead by Daylight is live and brought some of the most controversial changes ever. Hex: Ruin is practically dead and the Doctor has been nerfed.
When the developers from Behaviour showcased their latest update for Dead by Daylight a few weeks ago, they faced criticism ahead of time. After all, one of the most crucial perks, Hex: Ruin, was set to be heavily changed. Now Patch 3.5.0 is live and has hardly undergone any changes. We reveal what the update entails.
What changes were made to “Hex: Ruin”? Hex: Ruin no longer makes repairing generators harder with tough skill checks but affects all generators that are currently not being worked on. These lose their progress automatically over time, as long as the Hex Totem remains active.
The developers aimed to create an endgame perk with this. Players criticize that Hex Totems never last until the endgame.
What changes were made to the Doctor? The Doctor no longer has two stances and loses his passive aura that increases madness. Instead, he can use a targeted shock once per minute that fills his entire terror radius.
However, other aspects have been significantly nerfed. When survivors calm down now, they go back to Madness I instead of Madness II as previously. Additionally, they no longer lose their progress on calming down if they interrupt it.
How is the community reacting? The sentiment within the community has hardly changed in the past weeks. Memes still rain down regarding the developers’ decisions. There is a widespread opinion that killers currently have hardly any chance and that the existing community is being alienated to attract new players.
Many players are complaining about long wait times for survivors. This is hardly surprising, given that after these changes, hardly anyone wants to play the killer.
What else did the patch bring? The patch also revamped the Hospital (Lery’s Memorial). The map is now much darker and has a modified design. The community has praised this, saying the map is now much creepier and more cohesive.

Additionally, the patch introduced the new “Tome II: Reckoning,” which is playable from tonight (22.01.2020). It brings new challenges and cosmetic rewards as well as a new “Season Pass.” This time, the stories of the following characters are highlighted:
Herman Carter (The Doctor)
Rin Yamaoka (The Spirit)
David King
Jane Romero
As with the first Tome, many rewards and the story can be unlocked for free. However, anyone wanting to have and unlock all cosmetic items will have to buy a “Rift Pass” for 1000 Auric Cells again this time. This is roughly 10 Euros.
What do you think of the new patch? Do you like the direction Dead by Daylight is heading? Or should they have listened more to the players?
The unofficial Pokémon MMO Temtem celebrated its release in Early Access. However, it was plagued by technical issues. Our editor Leya stood in line with thousands – why she still liked the launch, she reveals here.
I have been following the development of Temtem for a long time, as my heart has been with Pokémon since my earliest childhood. I have not missed any of the single-player RPGs and recently reported on the new raid feature in Sword and Shield.
As an MMO player, I should have known better… A release in online games rarely goes smoothly. Just as rarely does a disastrous release run as harmoniously as with Temtem.
Of Huge Queues and Crashes
At exactly 7:00 PM, the servers go online, and I start the quick download on Steam. While I boil my tea in the meantime, I already wonder which will be my starter Temtem. Because this concept is also borrowed from Pokémon.
The download is done. I eagerly start the game and land directly in the gigantic queue of death. I left my screenshots on my home PC and am currently in the office. Therefore, unfortunately, here is just a pixelated photograph of my monitor for you:
With thousands, I am patiently waiting for my place in the game.
As the waiting time drags on, I first check the Twitter profile of Temtem. Here, the developers write shortly after the launch that already over 20,000 players are starting their adventure within the first minutes. Temtem even shoots directly to one of the current top sellers on Steam.
After about half an hour, I finally manage to get into the game and create my character. Here, I’m offered a few options for body, face, hair, and clothing. My character is ready, let the adventure begin! Or maybe not? No, because the screen is black, and the server wants to reconnect. Thus, the queue and I meet again.
Back to the Twitter profile of the developers. New tweets are now appearing almost every minute, in which the developers talk about hotfixes and problems and ask the players for patience.
Community Remains Warm and Takes It with Humor
I was considering whether I should just start another game. After all, I want to improve in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, too. But then I just have too much fun with the comments from the Temtem players.
The community reacts with much affection and humor to the overstressed servers. Rarely do I find a few nasty comments under the tweets of the Temtem team. With some comments, I even have to laugh heartily.
Even on Reddit, where players are usually inclined to be in a bad mood, the atmosphere remains good. Here, a post that is titled “the worst launch ever” receives much support. The player complains here about the fact that he cannot give his character a bald head and that this has thoroughly spoiled the game for him – of course, this is said with a wink.
I look at the time. It is now 11:00 PM, and since the launch, I have made it briefly back into the game. I give up. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the launch because I was thoroughly entertained by the community contributions and shared in the excitement with the developers who tried to fix their game throughout the night.
I would have liked to give you a first impression of Temtem today. Maybe another time.

At 09:10 AM, the developers make one last announcement after the launch. The game is largely stable, more hotfixes are to come.
Players Don’t Remain Patient Forever
Temtem comes from the Spanish developer studio Crema. The funding for the “Pokémon MMO” mainly came through a successful Kickstarter campaign, as many believed in Crema and Temtem.
The studio has the advantage that they do not belong to the big players out there. Players are usually still inclined to forgive launch difficulties and bugs.
Experience shows, however, that such an atmosphere can turn quickly if problems persist for too long. For the moment, the atmosphere is good.
Those interested in Temtem should maybe wait a few more days until everything runs smoothly and stably. I look forward to the development of Temtem with excitement. Because even if I was only able to take a very brief excursion, what I have seen so far has pleased me as a Pokémon fan.

Even the competition is launching new mice. Here we present to you the two new editions of the most popular mice from Razer:
In spring 2018, the new third-person shooter Scavengers was introduced, aiming to excite players with a mix of coop, PvP, and survival. The release is still pending. But how is the game doing in early 2020? What can we expect from Scavengers and when can we finally play it?
What is Scavengers anyway?Scavengers is an upcoming multiplayer survival shooter developed by Midwinter Entertainment and is played from a third-person perspective.
It is based on the innovative technology Spatial OS, a cloud technology developed by Improbable, which allows relatively small developers to create large virtual game worlds and manage them with minimal effort.
This is the story in Scavengers: The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world. A meteor impact shattered the moon into two pieces, turning our world into a frozen wasteland, where dangers like environmental hazards, mutants, or hostile scavengers (Outriders) lurk at every corner.
As a player, you take on the role of the titular Scavengers. Their teams traverse the icy wasteland searching for organic DNA traces or other valuable samples. They hope to gain further insights into how the apocalypse occurred.
This is the vision behind Scavengers:Scavengers is indeed a survival shooter, but the developers pursue a completely different approach than other representatives of this genre. That’s what makes it so unique, and that’s exactly how Midwinter Entertainment wants to stand out and excite players.
While the game is traditionally about survival, the survival aspect in Scavengers is particularly unique and quite unusual. The developers focus on a mix of coop group dynamics and PvP, as well as elements from other genres like battle royale or hero shooters.
Matches are played with up to 4 teams of 3 titular Scavengers with special abilities. The goal in a match is to collect DNA samples from a randomly generated post-apocalyptic game world before leaving the area of operation. This can only happen once all teams have collectively gathered a certain number of samples. The aim is to collect more samples than the other teams.
However, many of these samples are well protected by nasty AI enemies like zombies and mutants, making it impossible for a single team to succeed. Often, it’s difficult or even impossible to get by without the other players. In principle, you are thus pushed towards cooperation but can turn against others at an opportune moment – and they can turn against you as well.
This mix of cooperation and betrayal keeps the tension and excitement high. The outcome of a match is never truly predictable. You must cooperate with enemies but also pursue your own plans and always keep an eye on whether other players might turn against you.
Additionally, other dangers like extreme temperatures, radiation, or hunger threaten you at every turn. Surviving in Scavengers is therefore a significant challenge.
How is the development of Scavengers going?
This is what has happened in development lately: Since the game was announced, the developers have been diligently working on it. The game received a new website, several closed playtests have been conducted (the latest in November 2019), which helped to further refine Scavengers and will continue to do so. Additionally, some new weapons have been showcased.
The biggest recent event for Scavengers may be the takeover of the development studio Mindwinter Entertainment by Improbable – the company behind SpatialOS. The creators of Scavengers are now directly under one roof with the tech company, now a proprietary studio, which should only benefit the further development of the survival shooter, according to the devs in the corresponding blog post.
What’s next for development? It’s unclear, but it’s likely that additional playtests will be scheduled, based on which the game will be further improved.
Scavengers is expected to be released later this year. However, as of early 2020, there is still no exact date.
What do you think about the concept in Scavengers? Does this type of survival intrigue you and make you want more?
If you complete certain challenges, you will earn cool skins in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. If you really push yourself, you can even score gold and platinum skins. But this hot skin here outshines them all! Unfortunately, it is not available.
In my research, I keep seeing videos of players going completely crazy during a match because they have unlocked the platinum skins of a weapon category or even the even more challenging Damascus skins.
However, a player recently showcased a skin on reddit that makes even the metallic flexers turn green with envy. It wasn’t entirely intentional, but it definitely looks cool!

What can we see here? Probably the hottest skin in CoD history. A player spawns with a burning weapon and initially doesn’t even know what’s going on.
Once he gets his bearings, he immediately goes on the hunt to try out his new fire skin. Although it looks really good, the running torch unfortunately hinders aiming, and he can’t hold out for long. However, this is sometimes the case with platinum skins too.
How did this happen? It was probably a chain of circumstances that ignited the fire on the barrel.
The player was taken out
His opponent held a Molotov cocktail at the end of the kill cam
The player selects a new loadout
He confirms the class at the moment he spawns again
This caused the game to transfer the fire animation of the Molotov to the weapon. Unfortunately, replicating this isn’t going to be easy.
Good skins can sometimes lead to problems when firing.
Community celebrates the “new fire skin”
What do the players think about it? Users on reddit are discussing in the thread how much they would pay for such a skin and are enthusiastic about the good look, although it is actually a mistake.
policht on reddit: “10/10 would buy such a skin”
Hxcdave on reddit: “I wish I could buy such a skin for $20…”
UotowNYC on reddit: “Where did I just put my wallet?”
Reinalam on reddit: “The skin comes with ‘AHHHH, AHHH, AHHHH’ operator quotes.”
putzy127 on reddit: “Take a close look, it’ll be in Fortnite next week.”
Many players find the skin awesome and suggest that something like this could definitely come with some improvements.
Will there be something like this in Modern Warfare? The chances are rather slim. The skin goes far beyond what other skins offer in terms of craziness.
Modern Warfare heavily focuses on realistic optics for weapons and skins. A burning weapon would currently stand out significantly.
Who knows in which direction MW will evolve when it has been on the market longer and the air has somewhat cleared. Maybe in a few months we’ll see skins from “Dark Matter” or even burning weapons. A crossbow is already on its way.
What do you think of the fire skin? Would you buy something like that?
The Chinese MMORPG Justice Online is gaining more attention in Europe and North America despite already being released in 2018. This is due to its beautiful graphics and fluid combat and movement systems. We will show you how to play the MMORPG.
What is Justice Online? Justice Online is the flagship MMORPG from NetEase, known to us primarily for Revelation Online. The game world is based on a Wuxing novel titled “Treacherous Waters” and looks stunning.
However, Justice Online aims to do many things differently and better than Revelation Online, characterized by the following features:
A beautiful graphics that can particularly impress in areas like wind, water, rain, or physics in general.
An extremely detailed character editor without gender lock.
7 different classes.
A good and fluid combat system.
A very deep storyline with many choices and cutscenes.
Cool movement types with air jumps and running on water.
Why is it worth checking out the MMORPG? Justice Online can officially only be played in China and Taiwan. However, the MMORPG has decided against an IP block. Accordingly, you can register from Germany with your usual credentials.
Since hardly any new MMORPGs are being released in the West right now, this offers you the opportunity to check out one of the most popular games in China with minimal effort.
You can also get an initial insight from the video by YouTuber TheLazyPeon, who looked at the game in December 2019:

What do I need for Justice Online? In principle, you only need:
A valid email address
A valid phone number
The game client
A bit of time and patience
Tools like ExitLag or similar tools to reduce latency can also be helpful, and if you don’t want to provide your own phone number, a site through which you can receive SMS from a fake phone number can be useful.
How do I install Justice Online? First, visit the official website of the game. You will need to register there. You can use your usual email addresses for this.
The only complicated part is the captcha you need to pass. You have to click three Chinese characters in the correct order. Here you need a bit of patience and luck.
After that, you will need to enter a phone number. To do this, click on the text in the red box and you will have the chance to set a country code in front of your phone number. You only need to look for +49 for Germany.
Alternatively, you can use a fake phone number here, which must be able to receive SMS. You need to verify yourself with the code sent.
After that, you will receive an email. It contains a link to activate your account, which also leads you to the page for downloading the game client.
After downloading, you can click on the file and a fully animated client will be installed. In the client itself, you will then choose where the game should be installed and which version you want:
There is an HD version that is over 70 gigabytes
There is an SD version that is around 23 gigabytes
After that, you can dive into the adventures of Justice Online.
Is there an English version of the game? Currently, there is no English patch for Justice Online. Unfortunately, you will have to settle for the Chinese version.
Due to the combat system and beautiful graphics, it is still worth taking a look at the game, even if you do not understand everything. You can use your phone’s camera and Google to translate the images and thus understand at least important parts of the game.
Will Justice Online be released in the West? There is still no information on whether the MMORPG will come to the West. Revelation Online received a western version, which, however, did not achieve great success.
Have you had any experience with Justice Online? Does the MMORPG appeal to you?
If you would also like to try another MMORPG that has not been released in the West, we will show you here how to play Lost Ark in Russian:
If you are looking for a powerful shotgun in Destiny 2, you should check out Perfect Paradox. Read about what this shotgun can do and how to effectively farm it.
This is the weapon in question: Perfect Paradox is carried in the primary slot, deals kinetic damage, and requires special ammunition. With a rate of fire of 140, it is a quickly firing shotgun.
Intrinsically, the legendary shotgun has a fully automatic firing mode. Additionally, you have increased ammunition reserves and reload faster when the magazine is empty.
We have briefly introduced the shotgun in our article about the best weapons from Season 9. The famous Destiny YouTuber KackisHD recently took a closer look at Perfect Paradox. We don’t want to withhold his insights from you.
What should you look for in a shotgun?
This roll is recommended for PvE: To perform well against computer-controlled enemies, go for this roll:
Barrel: Rifled Barrel
Magazine: Tactical Mag
Perk 1: Demolitionist
Perk 2: Rifled Barrel (50% more damage for the next 3 shots)
Perfect Paradox has a standard magazine size of 7 shots. This value cannot be increased above 8 with any magazine or mod option. Therefore, “Tactical Mag” is recommended as it offers additional stat bonuses alongside maximum size.
KackisHD fully relies on the power of “Rifled Barrel”. He notes that “Double Punch” is a good option, but only really shines with melee builds. The combination of Demolitionist and Rifled Barrel outshines the competition.
Small enemies fall in seconds; add clear is definitely not a problem. With fully automatic fire and the always activatable damage boost from Rifled Barrel, you can easily mow down powerful majors. Even against bosses, you deal significant damage and watch their health bars disappear.
Only 3 other shotguns have access to the rare perk Rifled Barrel:
This roll is recommended for PvP: Perfect Paradox performs best in fights against PvE enemies. However, it also has its place in the Crucible. These perks make it possible:
Barrel: Full Choke or Rifled Barrel
Magazine: Fluted Rounds
Perk 1: Sliding (reloads 2 shots for 140 shotguns)
Perk 2: Opening Shot
With this roll, you fully rely on range to take down other Guardians from a greater distance. In addition to the increased stat, there is a bonus beyond the range cap. Both “Sliding” and “Opening Shot” further increase range – and noticeably so.
Weapon Acquisition Measure
Here’s how to effectively farm the weapon: Fortunately, you can target farm Perfect Paradox. Through the Tower Obelisks, you can obtain the corresponding time-lost bounty.
Those who level up the other Obelisks significantly ease their farming process. For example, you can accept multiple bounties simultaneously and achieve faster progress in the required tasks. This makes the grind much more effective.
KackisHD has another tip: Visit the area “Artifact’s Edge” on Nessus. In the lost sector “The Planetary Machine” there, you can quickly complete almost all bounties for Perfect Paradox.
What else is in favor of the shotgun? Besides its excellent properties on the battlefield, Perfect Paradox has other advantages. It is, among other things, one of the most legendary Destiny weapons.
The shotgun is surrounded by a fascinating and paradoxical time travel story. We don’t want to spoil the events at this point. Interested parties should take a look at our lore article.
What do you think of Perfect Paradox – a worthwhile shotgun or do you have another favorite weapon? Let us know in the comments.
Twitch streamer Pokimane has received her own emote in Fortnite. This changes the skins in a weird way. We will show you what happens when you use the emote.
What happens when you apply the emote? Some players have bought the Poki emote and of course applied it. However, now more and more players are reporting that the emote changes their skins in the lobby.
When performing the “cute” dance, the character suddenly becomes a bit thicker. This only happens during the “selfie part”.
Player xTechFusion20x posted a video on reddit showing that the skin becomes “thicker” when applying the emote:

With the Ikonik skin (far right in the image), the change is very noticeable. His chest looks quite swollen.
Is it a bug or intended?
It is still unclear what this change is all about. It seems to act like a bug that was not actually planned.
What’s interesting is that the Ninja skin also has a built-in feature that changes his skin. Could it be possible that the Poki emote intentionally alters the skins?
Community finds the feature fitting
In the comments, under the video and the image on reddit, there is discussion about whether it is a bug. Some funny remarks arise like:
“It can’t be a coincidence that the Poki emote makes your skin “thicc”.”
“That’s what happens when you take a selfie.”
Here, people refer to the Twitch streamer Pokimane, who is referred to as “thicc” (curvier body shape) in the community.
Everyday problems when taking a selfie and suddenly looking much thicker are also described. Whether this change with the emote is intentional or just a bug, it sure looks funny.
If you also want your own emote in Fortnite, you should check here what you need to do:
We look at how 3 of the largest games-as-a-service games in Germany deliver and finance their new content. WoW, ESO and Destiny 2 rely on different content models, but all are criticized.
Every “games-as-a-service” game has more or less its own model for how new content comes into play and how it is financed.
The exciting thing is: Actually, every community is dissatisfied with how this happens with their game. We look at 3 of the largest games in Germany and what the criticisms of the respective content model are.
WoW – Subscription is mandatory
This is how WoW delivers content: In WoW, a major paid expansion comes out roughly every 2 years. In between, regular updates are released – but these taper off at the end of an expansion period, and there may be months where nothing happens.
This is how WoW is financed: WoW is a subscription game. You have to pay monthly if you want to play. The current expansion is also paid. And there is a cash shop that sells cosmetic items.
This is the criticism here: There is regularly a content drought in the year before the new expansion appears. During this time, there is often little happening for months while Blizzard works on the new expansion.
WoW is a cyclical game due to its content delivery; the longer an expansion is active, the fewer players WoW usually has.
However, it has been proven that with an expansion, many veterans come back and give WoW another chance. The excellent advertising campaigns and trailers from Blizzard surely play a role here.
There are few complaints that WoW is expensive – players have apparently gotten used to it. But criticism has recently arisen regarding the cash shop, regarding what items are added there and how Blizzard handles it overall, which does not sit well with some critical fans.
ESO – Optional Subscription, 4 DLCs per Year
This is how ESO delivers its content: ESO releases paid DLCs quarterly and free updates:
In the 2nd quarter of a year, a chapter is released, which is a major expansion. Here, players can expect new features, new classes and continents.
The Necromancer was introduced as a new class in 2019 with the chapter Elsweyr
This is how ESO finances its content: ESO is a buy-to-play game; players can purchase the DLCs and expansions if they wish. Additionally, ESO offers an optional subscription that grants access to all DLCs and provides monthly premium currency crowns.
The “paid DLCs” can be bought for the premium currency crowns. In the 2nd quarter of a year, the expansion appears for about €40, which cannot be paid with crowns but must be purchased separately.
There is also a cash shop that offers cosmetic items for crowns. ESO also sells the crowns outright, without requiring a subscription.
Costume sets that could be purchased in the ESO crown store.
This is the criticism of ESO: The criticism of ESO every year is that the “chapter” is too small and offers too little to justify the €40 investment. Certain players are always missing exactly the features they are waiting for. Or something else just doesn’t seem right in their eyes.
This is how Destiny delivers its content: Destiny ran until 2017, then Destiny 2 was released, and everything players had achieved or purchased in Destiny 1 was gone. It is assumed that something similar could happen again when Destiny 3 is released. At least that is how it was once planned in Activision’s master plan. Bungie remains silent.
So far, a paid expansion has been released every year: 2 of them were large and well-received, 2 were significantly smaller.
Currently, seasons are also active, where new content is introduced in small doses over 3 months, following a theme. Additionally, there should be quarterly updates.
This is how the content plan for a season in Destiny looks fragmented.
This is how Destiny 2 finances its content: The base game is now free-to-play. The expansions and seasons are paid. Additionally, there is a cash shop, the Eververse.
This is criticized: The switch to Destiny 2 and the removal of old content from the game was harshly criticized, especially since many contents returned in Destiny 2. Players complain that Destiny 2 makes few “big leaps” and that there have been too few innovations in recent years.
Players also generally criticize that “too much” energy flows into the cash shop and too little into the normal content of the game.
The content of the expansions is also criticized; it is suspected that only part of the resources flow into the currently running game and that Bungie is already working on Destiny 3.
The vampire needs blood; players in MMOs want new content.
The insatiable hunger for content from the fans
This is what it’s about: The content supply of ongoing games is the fundamental problem of “games-as-a-service” games.
The promise of “We are developing a universe over 10 years” is fantastic in itself.
In practice, however, it has a practical problem. Every studio actually needs several functioning teams:
one team that works on the “next big thing”, a new game in the series or the next major expansion – the expectations here are particularly high
additionally, several teams are needed to work on the “next small thing”, the quarterly DLCs or expansions
studios actually need a live team to solve current problems or launch smaller events
Maintaining this balance is a challenge for every studio, whether for MMORPG veterans like Blizzard, who have been doing this since 2004, or for a relatively fresh MMO studio like Bungie, who have been working since 2014 to somehow establish the structure for a “games-as-a-service” game to satisfy the immense content hunger of players.
Cortyn is extremely disappointed with the last cinematic from WoW: Battle for Azeroth . One of the greatest enemies in WoW, the Old God N’zoth, meets an undignified end.
As the first American guilds in World of Warcraft finished the Ny’alotha raid last night, I was glued to the screen watching. My curiosity was too great, and I was ready to spoil myself on N’Zoth’s end.
After all, the Old God N’Zoth is one of the most significant villains in World of Warcraft, and I wanted to see right away what ending Blizzard would provide him.
I was eagerly waiting for a spectacular cinematic of epic proportions that would defeat the Master of Corruption, the Lord of Corruption, and the Whisperer in the Shadows, perhaps even showcasing a piece of his genius.
But let’s summarize briefly: The end cinematic begins with a small in-game sequence where our character is controlled by N’Zoth and gives in to his whispers. Magni calls and tries to save the heroes, which he does. The Heart of Azeroth is activated and serves as an anchor point for MOTHER, who then activates the titanic constructs and fires the gathered energy. The beams hit the Heart of Azeroth and are then concentrated on N’Zoth.
This is where the actual cinematic begins. N’Zoth starts to glow and seems to burst. The world of the Black Empire, the monoliths, and other structures crumble, the eyes of the Old God fade into light. Ultimately, Ny’alotha disappears completely in a light explosion – the end.

This exit is so undignified and so trivial that I had to pinch myself to see if I had actually fallen asleep long ago.
It is not only a pitiful farewell to one of the greatest masterminds of World of Warcraft but also a disappointing end to an expansion. There is no transition to the upcoming expansion Shadowlands, no mystery, and no possible “foreshadowing” of future threats. N’Zoth bursts, and that is it.
That was the most powerful, cunning enemy Azeroth has ever experienced. That was the entity that turned Neltharion into Deathwing, corrupted Archbishop Benedictus, and created Azshara and her Naga. Light laser – pop – the end. Executed like in a “Dragon Ball Z” episode.
Moreover, Magni’s comments are not particularly clever. He warns the character and tries to appeal to the fact that they are a “child of Azeroth” – which is simply false if you play as a Draenei or Orc. A minor detail, but one that carries weight.
The Community also finds the video embarrassing
I feared that I might be alone in my opinion and exaggerating completely, but that is not the case.
A glance at the likes and dislikes of the cinematic on YouTube clearly shows how disappointed WoW players are with this exit. Against 880 thumbs up come a staggering 2420 thumbs down – a clear statement (Status: 20.01.2020 11:10). Here are a few comments from people whose opinions align with mine and capture the general sentiment.
Probably the worst cinematic I have ever seen, and I am being really honest.
Nauli Eisenfaust on YouTube
This is an extremely disappointing conclusion for a raid. These player cutscenes have their time and place, but using them as a finale for an expansion feels very, very cheap. Battle for Azeroth gave us some great things, like the Saurfang movies, but simply dropped all the “Old God” stuff.
Kevin Thompson on YouTube
Compare this to the finale of Antorus, and you think you were playing a different game.
Cameron Sharp on YouTube
The Sargeras cinematic was an ending worthy of an expansion.
On Reddit, many users even had an idea of how to make the cinematic at least significant with a few more seconds. User AdamG3691 provides the suggestion:
The entrance to Ny’alotha collapses, we see Xal’atath lying in the rubble, now with the red eye of N’Zoth in the grip of the dagger, twitching back and forth. We hear footsteps growing louder. It seems that a shadow is bending over the dagger, and a recognizable hand picks up the dagger. “In the end, all will serve death.” Then the image goes black.
This way, at least a small narrative connection could have been added to the ending, even if Sylvanas never uses the dagger or it is lost afterwards.
Cinematic is the greatest disappointment of Patch 8.3
However, there is a suspicion that Blizzard simply pulled the ripcord a few months ago and concluded: “Let’s wrap up Battle for Azeroth as quickly as possible and work full steam on Shadowlands. No regard for losses.” And that loss was probably N’Zoth and the cinematic that doesn’t even deserve that name.
In the end, I can only hope that N’Zoth was not actually defeated. That all of this is merely a mental trick of his, an illusion that makes us believe we have overcome him. That I have to cling to such a thought so that one of my favorite enemies does not die an undignified death is a shame. A very great shame. It marks the low point in the narrative of the current World of Warcraft.
Recently, the first gameplay of Godfall was leaked, which many thought came from the PlayStation 5. Now the developers have explained what we actually saw.
What is the leak about? Recently, the first gameplay (7 seconds) of Godfall was leaked on Reddit, followed by a whole trailer. And it sparked quite a bit of discussion.
Many assumed that it was the first gameplay footage from the PS5, showing what the first next-gen game for the new PlayStation currently looks like.
Some even praised the effects, stating that they looked so convincing. However, as it turns out, the leaked footage did not come from the PlayStation 5 at all.
What was the gameplay like? The developers of Godfall have now spoken out about this matter through their official Twitter account.
They stated that the leaked trailer was a recording made about a year ago on PC and was used as part of an internal presentation.

He can hardly wait for us to see how far the game has come and how good it looks and plays on the PlayStation 5.
What does this mean for Godfall? The footage definitely did not come from the PlayStation 5. Therefore, no conclusions can be drawn about the performance or visual quality of Sony’s next-gen console from the leak – even though some Reddit users had hoped for it.
According to Pitchford’s statement, it shouldn’t be long before we finally see some first footage from the PS5.
Even if Sony will not be present at E3 2020 – leaks suggest a PS5 reveal event in February 2020. There might be some first meaningful next-gen gameplay that many are eagerly waiting for.
What do you think? When will we see the first next-gen gameplay from the PS5?
The bug with the Shinies has now been fixed, and you can again catch Snubbull and Alolan Vulpix as Shinies. Additionally, Niantic is changing the quest surrounding Alolan Vulpix a little.
This was not disclosed: Niantic only mentioned the quest regarding Alolan Vulpix on Twitter. The Snubbull quest was not addressed at all, and it was not revealed whether another field research task might have been buggy.
The quest “Use 10 Nanab Berries while catching Pokémon”, which was available during the last field research tasks from September to December and had Scyther as a reward, also seemed to be bugged. However, nothing was said about that.
Shiny Snubbull can now be obtained again from field research tasks
However, this was revealed: The Twitter post also states that the quest with Alolan Vulpix will be available until the end of February. It seems that we will receive new tasks in March. Previously, field research tasks changed every 4 months, now a change could happen after just 2 months.

What does a media partnership mean? In a media partnership between two companies, no money usually flows. We partnered with Dreamhack because we can benefit from each other’s strengths and promote each other.
Why are you doing this? We believe that many of our users are interested in the event and the events there. And of course, we hope to gain new readers through our presence there. Media partnerships only work if the parties involved are approximately equally “strong” and there is a common, connecting theme.

Monster Hunter World turns two years old in just a few days. On January 24, a new event will be coming to Iceborne. Finally on all platforms: PS4, Xbox, and PC. The Astral Fest (Grand Appreciation Fest) will catapult you to the stars, and we will tell you why.
Update January 22: The Astral Fest in Seliana and the Festival of Gratitude in Astera start on January 24 at 1 a.m. German time. They will end on February 14. According to the latest roadmap, the “Grand Appreciation Fest” will be playable on all platforms.
What kind of event is this? There was already a big event for the first birthday of Monster Hunter World in 2019. And another anniversary is coming up in January 2020. For the second anniversary of the game, there will be the “Astral Fest”.
This event revolves around the theme of sky, stars, and space. The developers have said about themselves that they may have gotten a bit carried away. Therefore, the lift is reflected in the crazy outfits of the characters and fancy equipment for you and your Palico.

When does the event start? It kicks off on January 24, 2020. Since the Iceborne expansion is also being released for PC at that time, the event will likely be accessible on all platforms.
Palico, Equipment, and NPCs from Space
When the event starts, everything will be wrapped in a star theme. Your gathering place will have glowing lanterns, and the NPCs will also be dressed appropriately as usual. This also applies to your hunting expert, who comes with small antennas on her head.
This equipment is available for the event: Naturally, you will be able to farm weapons and armor for the second anniversary of Monster Hunter World again. Your Palico has probably been hit the hardest. If you build his armor, he will mutate into an alien.

But you can also beam your own character to the stars. The Astral α+ armor looks like it was woven from space fabric. It is transparent and cut like a robe.

This armor can be crafted using Astral Tickets. The decoration armor can be made from VIP Tickets. Your chance of getting these tickets increases when you wear the Astral α+. The events in Monster Hunter World always have commendations or badges that you need to collect. From them, you can then craft all sorts of equipment and decorations.
Elf Ears, Retro Palicos, and Funny Weapons – There’s More to the Event
But even outside the star theme, there is a lot to discover at the event. You can turn your Palico into a little conductor with some armor. Additionally, there will be Palicos in retro design. This is how the cat-like companions used to look in older parts of the Monster Hunter franchise.
There will also be more for your hunter to grab. There will be a head armor in the elf ear design. Additionally, a hammer that looks like a well-cooked steak in Monster Hunter World.

Additionally, even more decoration armors are said to be coming. So far, players can choose from a set of low and high-rank equipment. However, master rank decoration armors will also become accessible. Whether they will come with the event in January is still unknown.
And just in time for the events, there is also a lot going on on Steam:

If you plan to visit the Corridors of Time in Destiny 2, you should hurry. The puzzle location won’t be available for much longer.
What is happening in Destiny 2? The past week has been dominated by one topic: the Corridors of Time. A secret mission developed into a genuine mega puzzle.
Visit the Corridors of Time quickly or you will miss out
This is what is happening now with the labyrinth: Following the reset yesterday, there was new information regarding the Corridors of Time. As community manager dmg04 stated on Twitter, the Corridors of Time will disappear from Destiny 2.
This is set to happen in a week. By the reset on January 28, the site of the mega puzzle is expected to close its doors. Forever. The reason given is an “unstable timeline.” Just as suddenly as they appeared, the Corridors will also disappear.

Here’s why you should visit the Corridors of Time yourself: While a personal visit is no longer strictly necessary to unlock the ultimate reward of the puzzle, the Bastion, there are still some good reasons to set foot in the seemingly endless labyrinth:
Experience the “I was there” feeling. With the motto: So thousands of Guardians have puzzled for almost a week here. Moreover, the location, with its surreal shapes and strange appearance, simply looks stylish.
If you want to venture into the Corridors of Time, you can find a detailed description of all symbols, codes, and mechanics here:
This is what the Guardians say about it: Players are somewhat surprised about the impending disappearance of the Corridors of Time. Many agree that the location simply has a great atmosphere.
One of the coolest places with amazing atmosphere to ever be in Destiny. It’s a shame that it will be gone. I know the reason, at least in part, for seasonal content to move on is to prevent bloat, but it’s too bad the Corridors have to go.
This player captures the sentiment of many Guardians well: he also raves about the excellent atmosphere. However, he can somewhat understand why the content is disappearing. Bungie wants to create a living, ever-moving Destiny world.
This is what it looks like in the Labyrinth of Time
Will you pay one last visit to the Corridors of Time or have you already explored the labyrinth? What do you think about the disappearance of this unique location?
The last cutscene of WoW: Battle for Azeroth has been revealed. Here you can watch how the fight against N’Zoth ends.
In America, players have already conquered the new raid Ny’alotha in World of Warcraft and defeated the final boss N’Zoth. It was accessible with the start of Season 4. This comes with a small sequence of cutscenes that we don’t want to withhold from you.
Spoiler warning: If you don’t want to know how the fight against N’Zoth ends, you should not read further. You have been warned.
What is there to see? The fight against N’Zoth ends with a small cutscene. This takes place “in-game” and shows the end of the fight against N’Zoth the Corruptor. The Champion (i.e., the player) is completely overwhelmed by N’Zoth’s corruption and falls under the mental control of the Old God.
Magni pleads with the hero not to listen to the voices of N’Zoth, after all, one is a child of Azeroth and not a servant of the Old Gods. This cry for help is then amplified by the Heart of Azeroth, enabling the Champion to momentarily break free from the Old God’s influence.
Magni and MOTHER take advantage of this to use the Heart of Azeroth as a focal point. They activate the Titans’ machines (which we have cleansed in Patch 8.3) and fire at the Champion. The concentrated energy is directed into the Heart of Azeroth and fired at N’Zoth.

The cutscene shows N’Zoth’s end: After that, the game switches to a pre-rendered cutscene. The laser beam hits N’Zoth and fills him with the radiance of Azeroth. The Old God is slowly inflated and then appears to burst. Everywhere in Ny’alotha, the Black Empire begins to crumble, and N’Zoth’s eyes disappear. The entire vision of Ny’alotha seems to collapse before the cinematic ends.
Afterwards, players find themselves in the Heart Chamber and receive their loot.
What do you think of the final cinematic from Battle for Azeroth? A cool ending for the Old God? Or was it rather unimpressive?
