When new consoles are released, there is often a focus on which games they will bring at launch. How much influence do cool launch titles have on your decision to purchase new consoles?
The one thing that every fan looks forward to with the release of the new round of next-gen consoles is, of course, all the new games. We are excited to see what the developers and publishers will show us and when these games will actually be playable.
A special emphasis is often placed on the big AAA games, which serve as flagship titles for the consoles, had high development costs, and are highly anticipated by many players. However, these games do not always release at the same time as the consoles.
For example, Horizon Forbidden West is one of the most anticipated titles for the PS5. However, it will be released in 2021, so it is not a launch title.
Halo Infinite was originally planned as a launch title for the Xbox Series X, but was postponed to 2021. Thus, it will also not launch at the same time as the console, which is set to be released in November 2020.
Fans will have to wait a bit longer for both Halo Infinite and Horizon Forbidden West. We will get to play both games in 2021.
The presence of such strong players at launch can certainly influence the purchasing decision for some of us.
What about you? How important is it for you that new next-gen consoles launch with strong games right away? Have the announcements or delays into 2021 affected your decision? Let us know in the comments.
How can I vote? You can share your opinion with us using the poll tool below. Each reader has only one vote to cast. Once you have chosen an answer option, the vote cannot be undone, so choose carefully.
The poll ends on August 16. Enjoy voting!

Spoiler Alert: This article contains content from the Pre-Patch 9.0.1. If you don’t want to know what happens there, you should not continue reading.
Sylvanas’ Servant is in Trouble
One of the “loose ends” in the story of Battle for Azeroth is the search for Nathanos Blightcaller. He was a loyal servant of the Banshee Queen Sylvanas all the time and led many of her attacks. But like Sylvanas herself, Nathanos has been elusive.
With Patch 9.0.1, this will change. Players will receive a quest to finally confront Nathanos Blightcaller.
Where can you find Nathanos? Nathanos will be part of a world boss quest and will be waiting in the Eastern Plaguelands. He has returned to his former home, the Marris estate. Here he lived as a human when he was still named Nathanos Marris, before he became a member of the Scourge and later Sylvanas’ servant. Veterans from Classic may remember that he was once a boss that could be defeated as part of a major group quest.
A world quest for Nathanos with nice loot – in Patch 9.0.1 you can kill him. Image source: wowhead
Why is Nathanos so unpopular? Nathanos Blightcaller is a thorn in the side of many players, both in the Horde and the Alliance. The character is almost always arrogant towards the players and gets away with every misdeed. Whether in Stormheim, at the Battle for Lordaeron, or at Darkshore – Nathanos always survives with a smug grin and a silly remark.
Additionally, many players have a dislike for Nathanos because he is seen as Sylvanas’ “lackey” and anticipates her every wish. This has earned him many nicknames in the WoW community, such as “Sylvanas’ Toyboy” or “The only undead simp.”
Sylvanas’ little “toy” will finally have its life lights extinguished.
Does Nathanos really die? Yes. Once Nathanos is brought down to 10% of his health, a cinematic will even be played. However, so far this is only a placeholder. The proper video is still missing and will likely only be found in the game with the release of Patch 9.0.1.
After the video ends, Blightcaller’s corpse lies on the ground. In both dialogues, for both Horde and Alliance, it is made clear that Tyrande Whisperwind was allowed to deliver the death blow – this will probably also be seen in the cinematic.
Is Nathanos gone forever? That is to be doubted. After all, Shadowlands is an expansion that revolves around the dead and the souls of the deceased. Nathanos was waiting at his hut because Sylvanas tasked him with exactly that in the book “Shadows Rising.” It is entirely possible that we only helped Nathanos get to the Shadowlands to reunite with his Banshee Queen there.
However, we will probably only find out later when Shadowlands is expanded through patches and the story unfolds completely.

Leveling up and improving through levels is an important part of role-playing games. However, many MMORPGs now offer boosters to skip this leveling phase. Is this therefore an outdated concept?
Why is this discussion taking place? On reddit, the topic arose that some MMORPGs like World of Warcraft now offer players boosters that allow them to skip the leveling phase. This makes it possible to jump straight to the endgame. And this is important for some MMORPG fans. Because some believe that an MMO only becomes truly exciting with the endgame and want to dive right in.
This raises the question of whether leveling in MMORPGs makes sense anymore or whether it is an outdated system.
Levels are still a part of role-playing games.
Level-Up or automatically improve skills?
What is leveling anyway? The system originates from tabletop role-playing games and has provided a means to show how strong a character is in a game since the 1970s.
Players start at level 1 and gain experience points by completing quests and fighting monsters. Once they reach a certain amount, they level up to a higher level. This new level brings additional abilities for the hero, making them stronger, possibly allowing them to use certain items, and giving them more health points and more powerful spells.
This allows the character to take on stronger foes.
What alternatives exist? Nowadays, some role-playing games, both in single-player and MMORPGs, utilize different methods. For instance, there are systems where players can enhance their skills by frequently using them. So if a hero, for example, only fights with one-handed blades, this skill will gradually increase over time. A wizard who only uses fire magic will become an expert in that area.
Other systems skip levels altogether but still offer players the chance to improve skills. By completing quests or defeating enemies, players earn skill points that they can allocate as they wish.
The MMORPG Ultima Online is the classic example of improving skills through their use.
Everything has its pros and cons
What are the advantages of leveling up? A level has significance. The level indicates at a glance how strong a hero is. This also facilitates comparisons among players, which is helpful when looking for groups. MMORPG players might seek teammates of a similar level for raids.
Additionally, levels provide a good way to showcase what someone has achieved in a game so far. Furthermore, leveling is an excellent way to gradually learn the various features and mechanics of a game.
Levels are also a form of progression, providing players with motivation to continue and become even stronger. If one is close to leveling up, they may want to reach that milestone quickly to see how the hero improves as a result.
For developers of MMORPGs, levels also offer several advantages. Particularly in terms of balancing, the team can populate areas of the game world with monsters targeted at players of specific levels. New content for certain levels can be easily integrated into the game.
Individual class levels can be more easily adjusted and balanced, and an automatic matchmaking system brings together players who are well-suited to each other.
In the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, you need to reach the appropriate level for certain tasks.
What are the disadvantages of leveling up? It often takes a long time to finally reach the new level. This is sometimes associated with grinding – especially when the story of an MMORPG or certain quests are tied to level requirements. If someone wants to know how the story continues but has not yet reached the required level for the next mission, they must grind to level up.
Anyone who wants to reach the endgame quickly but has to level up significantly may find that frustrating.
Moreover, players see real progress in their character only when leveling up. Depending on how many levels there are until the maximum level and how long it takes to level up, some may find this insufficient progression.
Additionally, a bit of individuality is lost in characters. While two heroes of the same level can already differ from each other, a personal play style is often not visible. In the system where skills improve through use, it is different. One can immediately recognize what the player values and how they play.
Improving one’s character in an MMORPG is important. Whether through levels or skills, players should decide for themselves.
Outdated or classic?
Is leveling up outdated now? MeinMMO author Andreas Bertits believes that leveling still has its place in MMORPGs. It represents the classic and familiar way to improve one’s hero. It is a straightforward system that works and has its advantages. Moreover, it supports certain play styles and gives players the opportunity to compare themselves with others.
However, this does not mean that leveling is the only true way to improve one’s character in an online role-playing game. The skill system, where skills improve either through points allocation or use, also has its justification and can be quite enjoyable.
Since there are different systems, players can choose the one that appeals to them the most. Those who enjoy leveling will play an MMORPG that offers this system. Those who prefer to improve skills have suitable titles available. And for those who are only interested in the endgame, a boost can be utilized. This way, everyone gets what they want.
What do you think? Does leveling up your character still belong in an MMORPG? Or is the system outdated for you?
In Call of Duty: Warzone there is a secret setup trick that allows you to run faster than with the Kali Sticks. Thanks to a hidden stat from an attachment, you can run really fast with the small Uzi and crush enemies in close combat.
What’s the deal with the Uzi and speed? If you wanted to run fast in Warzone, you previously had to create a setup with the knife or the Kali Sticks. The Kali Sticks achieve a running speed of 103.5 percent.
However, a hidden bonus stat for an attachment for the Uzi submachine gun makes you much faster and turns you into a real close combat monster. A player on reddit has developed a powerful setup for the small SMG that excels in close combat.
Super Fast Uzi Setup with Close Combat Power
This is what the setup for the Uzi looks like: The Super Close Combat Uzi consists of the following parts:
Barrel: 8.5″ Factory Mini
Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
Stock: No Stock
Muzzle: Close Combat Boost
With this setup, you can turn the rather unpopular Uzi into a close combat monster.
In detail, this setup brings some advantages. Thanks to the grip on the underbarrel, the already nimble Uzi gets even faster and achieves a speed value of 110 percent! That’s 6.5 percentage points more than with the Kali Sticks. It’s curious that the speed boost from the grip doesn’t officially appear in the stats, but is undoubtedly present.
To round off the setup, the Uzi is equipped with the Close Combat Boost attachment as a muzzle for more damage when bludgeoning the opponent. If you want to strike even faster, choose the perk “Faster Close Combat”. This way, you can brutally smash the Uzi into your enemies’ faces and quickly knock them out!
If you want to run around like a maniac and smash heads with a small submachine gun, then this Uzi setup is just right for you.
That’s it for the nasty little Uzi close combat setup. If you want to create cool setups yourself, check out our article on the best perks and gear in CoD: Warzone. This makes it easy to create the optimal personal loadouts for the Warzone in Call of Duty.

In Pokémon GO, today, on August 12th, the Raid Hour with Deoxys is taking place. We will tell you why this event is so worthwhile this time.
What is a Raid Hour? This event takes place every Wednesday in Pokémon GO and gives you the chance for many raids for one hour. During this time, a legendary raid appears at almost every gym.
This time, everything revolves around the mysterious Pokémon Deoxys. The hour is particularly worthwhile because Deoxys can only be found in raids for a short time.
Raid Hour today with Deoxys
When does it start? As usual, the Raid Hour starts at 6:00 PM German time. You have exactly one hour, as most raids will disappear by 7:00 PM.
Which Pokémon are the best counters? Deoxys is a Psychic type and therefore vulnerable to Dark, Ghost, and Bug types. The best counters are:
Darkrai with Dark Pulse and Dark Aura
Giratina with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball
Skelabra with Hex and Shadow Ball
Trikephalo with Bite and Dark Aura
Despotar with Bite and Crunch
Mewtwo with Psychic Edge and Shadow Ball
How many trainers are needed? Deoxys can already be easily defeated by two players. You just need the right counters with the appropriate attacks.
For the Raid Hour, we recommend a group size of about 5 players. This way, you can move faster and participate in more raids.
Why is the Raid Hour so worthwhile? Deoxys can only be encountered as a Shiny since the start of the Enigma event last Friday. It will only remain in raids until this Friday. So you have just one week to catch the new Shiny.
The Raid Hour gives you excellent opportunities. After all, you will find as many raids in one hour as you usually do very rarely. Anyone who does not yet have Shiny Deoxys should take advantage of this hour, as there may not be another chance for the Shiny anytime soon.
When Deoxys will return again remains questionable. After all, it has a total of 4 forms. It is possible that a different form will be in focus on its next return, and you may not get the chance for Shiny Deoxys in its normal form again.
What’s next for the Raid Hour? In the coming weeks, there will also be a Raid Hour, but Deoxys will no longer be the focus. Next week, everything will revolve around Genesect, which can also be caught as a Shiny for the first time.

On August 11, a balance update was released for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone, which targeted the heavyweights among the weapons – Bruen Mk9 and FAL received a nerf. MeinMMO takes a look at whether the weapons are still usable.
Call of Duty is now keeping a close eye on its arsenal of weapons. The current title Modern Warfare managed to go nearly half a year without major weapon balancing, but the shooter has been receiving regular small adjustments since the necessary Grau nerf.
This time, it affected 2 top weapons that caused a stir particularly in Warzone, the CoD “Battle Royale”: the LMG Bruen Mk9 and the semi-automatic assault rifle FAL. Check here how the nerfs impact the meta guns and whether you should still pack them into your loadouts because they still belong to the best weapons in Warzone.
The details of the nerfs were measured by the English YouTuber and CoD expert “JGOD” and presented in one of his videos:

The Bruen Mk9 After the Nerf – Still a Reliable Hit Machine
Excerpt from the Patch Notes: Bruen Mk9
Damage range reduced
What does that mean? The only thing that was adjusted for the Bruen was the ranges of its damage potential. Previously, the LMG dealt the following damage to the upper chest area of the enemy:
34 – up to 41 meters
30 – from 41 to 56 meters
24 – from 56 meters
After the patch, the new damage values are:
34 – up to 32 meters
30 – from 32 to 47 meters
24 – from 47 meters
A significant range reduction of around 20% is thus recorded.
Is the Bruen still viable in Warzone? The LMG receives a nerf that leads to more “hit markers” at greater distances. However, the weapon remains very stable, just like before the patch.
You will feel the difference if you have played the weapon a lot and your timing is perfectly aligned with the bullets the weapon needed for a kill at certain ranges. However, the strong handling characteristics are still present. Nevertheless, the time-to-kill increases in comparison to the also very forgiving Grau 5.56 at some distances.
In Warzone, stable weapons are extremely popular, as the average combat distance is substantially higher than that of regular multiplayer matches. The Bruen plays almost the same as before but has less damage potential against enemies who receive bullets from further away.
Overall, the Bruen Mk9 remains strong, but loses some of its appeal. If you played the weapon for its precision, you can safely keep it in your loadout. If you want to vary with the LMGs, try this PKM setup, which revives the former top weapon.
The Bruen has made LMGs the trend in Warzone.
FAL Receives Nerf and Buff – Still on Course
Excerpt from the Patch Notes: FAL
Increased headshot damage (2-shot kills at range with 1 headshot)
Reduced damage at close range (limbs and lower torso always 3-shot kills)
What does that mean? The details in parentheses apply to regular multiplayer and mean that you can now always achieve 2-shot kills, regardless of how far away you are from the opponent. As long as one of the hits is a headshot, you will take down your opponent. At close range, a headshot is still sufficient in MP.
With limb hits and hits to the lower torso, you now require 3 shots, regardless of distance. Specifically, that means:
Damage up to 20 meters
Headshot before patch 105 / after patch 100
Chest before patch 78 / after patch 58
Torso/limbs before patch 65 / after patch 48
Damage between 20 – 45 meters
Headshot before patch 72 / after patch 92
Chest before patch 54 / after patch 54
Torso/limbs before patch 45 / after patch 45
Damage from 45 meters
Headshot before patch 55 / after patch 69
Chest before patch 40 / after patch 40
Torso/limbs before patch 34 / after patch 34
Is the FAL still viable in Warzone? The Belgian semi-automatic rifle has become thanks to a buff an absolute killer at close range. The damage range of 0 – 20 meters was newly added, giving the FAL a reputation as a hammer “submachine gun,” even though it is an assault rifle.
This close combat range is now slightly weaker, and you now need 5 shots to the chest for a kill instead of 4, as before. This slightly weakens the weapon but can make a difference in certain situations. Here is a comparison of the TTK times of the assault rifles.
However, the FAL remains a top pick at short to medium range. If you are strong with headshots with the weapon, you even get a significant boost to your damage. FAL headshots have been considered incredibly strong since the release of Warzone in March and hit even harder now.
You can continue to play the FAL with confidence without having to worry about losing more firefights than before.
The FAL plays uniquely and is particularly powerful.
The two weapons remain strong alternatives, but the Bruen has lost a bit more compared to others. Whether the Bruen will completely exit the meta and whether the time of the stable Kilo 141 has come remains to be seen.
Here you will find 2 strong builds of the nerfed top weapons:
The weakening of your favorite weapon can sometimes be really frustrating, but it also encourages players to try new things and perhaps even discover better weapons. I can personally look past the nerfs quite well. Because although my main Warzone weapon was nerfed (FAL), a real hammer mode remains in the rotation – “Mini Royale”.

Actually, the MMORPG Dragon’s Prophet, which was discontinued in May, was supposed to return on August 10 via Steam. However, that did not happen. In the meantime, the entry has also disappeared. What happened?
However, August 10 came and nothing happened. The date was then rescheduled for one day later. But on August 11, something else happened. Instead of experiencing the launch of the MMORPG, Valve took the Steam page of Dragon’s Prophet offline.

This is what Dragon’s Prophet looked like. But the MMORPG is not returning after all.
Dead remains dead
Why was the page taken offline? Shortly after the Steam page appeared, doubts arose about whether this restart was a legitimate project. The new official website of Dragon’s Prophet was copied from the original page when the publisher was still Infernum.
A former employee of Infernum spoke out about the situation and stated that he had strong doubts that it was an official restart of Dragon’s Prophet. He suspected it could be a fan server.
The community then discovered that the company behind the game had two names, BOBYGAME and Dragon’s Prophet Games GmbH. However, neither of them had an entry in the commercial register. The company also seemed to have no official license for Dragon’s Prophet.
The MMORPG Dragon’s Prophet remains a nice memory.
A spokesperson for the development studio behind Dragon’s Prophet, Runewaker, stated to the website MMO Fallout that BOBYGAME is not a partner of the company. The material that the developers showed as evidence that it was supposedly a legitimate project did not come from Runewaker, but from a source code leak.
What does the team think about this? After the Steam page of Dragon’s Prophet disappeared, the Discord server also closed. The team briefly commented on the official website and explained:
We are sorry that we cannot continue to distribute and develop Dragon’s Prophet. The reactions have deeply disturbed us. Our team does not want to continue in this way and has disbanded.
BOBYGAME
What was really behind this? According to the operator of an unofficial server of Dragon’s Prophet, a group of Turkish players was behind the project who wanted to buy the source code and files of the MMORPG from them. As the person writes in the comments of MassivelyOP, the team wanted to set up a new server themselves.
Whether this is really the case cannot be said for certain at this time. The fact is, nothing came of the project. Dragon’s Prophet is not returning.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has received its first major update. This includes a new level for the rotation. Additionally, one of the most annoying and unpopular mini-games will occur less frequently.
What’s included in the new update for Fall Guys? Fall Guys is a colorful battle royale game and surprisingly successful on Steam. In the game, funny potato creatures waddle awkwardly through absurd levels, trying to cross a finish line or grab a raccoon tail trophy. Meanwhile, they are hindered and trolled at will by other players.
The game has now received its first major update, which brings several changes. Bugs have been fixed, which previously caused certain controllers to not be recognized. Furthermore, you can now reliably grab the crown at the end, and some physics errors have also been corrected.
However, the two main changes are a new level and the reduced frequency of the mini-game “Royal Fumble”.
What is the new level about? A new level for the game’s finale called Jump Showdown is now being added to the rotation. This mini-game was already present in the beta but was missing in the release version so far.
Jump Showdown is very similar to the already known level Jump Club. You have to run around on a kind of clock and jump to avoid the rotating hands, so they don’t knock you off the platform.
In Jump Showdown, however, the clock itself is unstable and the segments of the platform will eventually fall off. So you need to keep an eye on the hands and the ground. With this new level, the final rounds of Fall Guys should become a bit more varied.
Changes to Royal Fumble: Another major change in the patch is the reduced frequency of the level Royal Fumble. This is a mini-game where you grab a raccoon tail, and then all the other players chase after you to steal the tail.

This annoying mini-game will now occur less frequently.
This may sound fun, but due to the imprecise controls and especially the grabbing mechanic of Fall Guys, the big tail chase quickly becomes quite a hassle. In the rating by the website Kotaku, this level is described as by far the worst and most annoying in the entire game, and the reduced frequency is highly welcomed.
With the adjustments mentioned above, Fall Guys should now be even more fun. However, one issue remains. Because even a cheerful party game like Fall Guys is currently plagued by nasty cheaters who feel the need to win and therefore resort to unfair means. But the developers are already working on a solution.

The big patch to prepare for Shadowlands is here. We tell you how you can already get a taste of the new WoW patch.
In World of Warcraft there is a big wait for the next expansion Shadowlands. But this could soon come to an end. The Pre-Patch 9.0.1 is now playable, as the first version has arrived on the PTR. We tell you what is included in the patch and how you can start playing today.
What does the Pre-Patch contain? The patch 9.0.1 already includes all the major innovations that Shadowlands offers to players – except for the Shadowlands themselves. This primarily means:
The level squish. All characters will be set from 120 to 50, the preliminary new maximum level. This will also adjust all character stats and items.
In addition, there is probably the most important piece of the patch, namely the big pre-event, which can be played in the weeks leading up to Shadowlands. The first phase of the event is already live on the PTR and can be tested. The quest for it should be automatically offered as soon as you log in or at the latest when entering a capital city.
The pre-patch introduces many innovations from Shadowlands.
Everyone can play Patch 9.0.1
Do you need a beta access for this? No! The PTR of the Pre-Patch 9.0.1 can be downloaded by any player with an active WoW subscription. Just go to the Battle.net software under the “Game Version” tab and select “In Development – Public Test Realm (PTR)”. Then you can start the download. It will likely be quite large at around 20 GB, as the data already contains much of Shadowlands.
When does the patch go live? That is still not entirely clear. In the past expansions, a corresponding pre-patch was tested for 4-5 weeks before it was rolled out to the live servers. This would suggest a release of the patch around the end of September. From there it typically takes another 6 to 8 weeks before the expansion is also released. Therefore, Shadowlands could potentially be released by the end of October or mid-November, assuming Blizzard follows the pattern of previous expansions. If you would rather get a taste of the Shadowlands beta, you should sign up for it.
Have you already tried the patch 9.0.1? Or are you waiting for the pre-event surprise when it goes live?

The Pokémon MMO Temtem lets you choose from three different Temtems at the start. We have taken a closer look at them and will tell you which one is the strongest.
Which starter Temtem is the best? Right at the start of Temtem, you can choose one of three Temtems from Professor Konstantinos. The options are:
Crystle
Smazee
Houchic
Especially at the beginning, it is important to choose the right Temtem. Unlike Pokémon, Temtem offers more depth and a higher level of difficulty. If you don’t want to keep using potions or look for a place to heal, you should make a wise choice.
In this guide, we want to show you which of the three starter Temtems is the strongest. To do this, we looked at their stats, their types, and the first opponents in the game.
This guide was originally created on January 27, 2020, and was last updated on August 12. The last evolutions of the starter Temtems, which came out in July, were added to the selection.

Crystal Temtems are rare at the start. That’s why Crystle is good for the mix
Contra
Slow
Not particularly strong later in the game
The defensive style doesn’t appeal to every player
What can Crystle do? Crystle is a Crystal-type Temtem and a good all-rounder with a focus on defense. Crystle has a lot of HP and good defense stats but lacks in offense.
As a Crystal Temtem, Crystle has the following strengths and weaknesses:
Effective against Electric and Mental
Ineffective against Fire and Earth
Defense strong against Electricity, Mental, and Poison
Defense weak against Fire, Earth, and Fighting
What speaks for Crystle as a starter? Crystle has the ideal stats for the beginning of your adventure in Temtem. Just before reaching the first city, you will encounter a Tamer with a strong Mental Temtem.
In the first Dojo, you can expect some Electric Temtems, but hardly any Fire opponents. Crystle is very useful there.
Additionally, Crystle offers many synergies with Wind Temtems, some of which you can catch right at the start.
What speaks against Crystle? Later in Temtem, the other two starters become stronger than Crystle. Moreover, the defensive playstyle is not necessarily for everyone.
However, the disadvantages balance out because during the game, you can catch new Temtems and even the other two starters.
Conclusion: Crystle is particularly strong at the beginning and very beginner-friendly. A perfect starter Temtem.
Houchic – Demanding Temtem, Strong at the Beginning and in Endgame
Pro
Strong against the first Tamers in the game
Only one weakness against Crystal
Mental Temtems are rare
Also strong in the later part of the game
Contra
Complicated to play, as many skills need to pause for the first round
No strengths in the first Dojo
What can Houchic do? Houchic is a Mental Temtem and offers versatile skills. In terms of stats, Houchic is slightly inferior to the other starter Temtems, but has strong numbers in special attack.
As a Mental Temtem, Houchic has the following strengths and weaknesses:
Effective against Neutral and Fighting
Ineffective against Crystal
Defense strong against Neutral and Fighting
Defense weak against Electricity, Digital, and Crystal
What speaks for Houchic as a starter? Houchic is particularly strong against the Tamers on the way to the first city. Thanks to the skill Hypnosis, it can put opponents to sleep, which is useful both for catching and in battles.
What speaks against Houchic as a starter? In the first Dojo, it is not as strong as Crystle, but still has good attributes and chances.
Additionally, some of Houchic’s skills require a round in battle before they can be activated. This can be somewhat confusing and difficult, especially for beginners.
Conclusion: If you are looking for a challenging but strong starter, Houchic is the right choice.
What can Smazee do? Smazee is a Fighting-type Temtem and can inflict a lot of damage in a short time. Conversely, however, its defense leaves much to be desired.
As a Fighting Temtem, Smazee has the following strengths and weaknesses:
Effective against Earth and Crystal
Ineffective against Mental
Defense strong against Fighting
Defense weak against Mental and Digital
What speaks for Smazee as a starter? Smazee is excellent at damaging opponents. This makes many battles short but effective. In the endgame, the latest evolution Seismunch is very good for quickly taking down opponents.
What speaks against Smazee as a starter? Smazee has low health points. Accordingly, you will need many ointments or have to look for healing spots more often.
Conclusion: For this reason, Smazee is the least suitable starter among the three starter Temtems, but becomes very strong later in the game.
Actually, the shooter Halo Infinite (PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X) was supposed to be released at the end of 2020, along with the launch of the new console generation. However, the developers have now announced that the release will be postponed.
Why is Halo Infinite being postponed? As the developers of 343 Industries announced on Twitter, the release is being delayed due to several factors, including the outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent impact on development.
According to the statement, it would not be good for the game to be released during this Christmas season. The additional time is intended to finalize the game and create the most ambitious Halo game ever.
When will Halo Infinite be released now? No exact date for the release was mentioned. It was only stated that the game is set to be released in 2021.

Is the delay surprising? While there have been no direct indications that Halo Infinite would be postponed, at least the little gameplay that has been shown so far was an indication of this.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone the first update of Season 5 was released today. This brought some changes and new playlists, but also server issues.
What was this update about? At 18:16, the developer Infinity Ward announced that a new update for the two shooters would be rolled out. This update includes the following changes:
Bug fixes for an error message when opening the Armory and an exploit in the Shooting Range.
An increase in headshot damage, but a decrease in close combat damage for the FAL.
A buff in the form of increased range and more ADS speed for the Holger-26.
A buff in the form of increased range and more ADS speed for the M91.
What problems is the update causing? The new patch, however, caused issues after its release. Some players are having difficulty connecting to the servers or have to wait in queues.
However, the developers at Infinity Ward are aware of the problem, as they stated on Twitter.

For some time now, Guardians in Destiny 2 can try their hand at the toughest PvE challenge, the Grandmaster Nightfalls. Some players seem to find them not challenging enough. Therefore, they just complete it in a few minutes.
What are Grandmaster Nightfalls? The new top activity for PvE was introduced back in April. It is a higher difficulty level than the already tricky Nightfalls, specifically: for the Trials.
The recommended power level for the new challenge is 1100, meaning it is only intended for the best-equipped Guardians. Below level 1075, you cannot start the challenge at all.
Grandmaster Nightfall in under 4 minutes – Here’s how it works
What have the players achieved? In a new video, a group of three players completed this new difficulty in record time. The team around YouTuber and streamer Ehroar took just about 3 minutes and 30 seconds for their run.
However, they did cheat a bit and simply ignored many enemies. You can see the run here in the embedded video:

How did they manage that? The three players all played as Hunters and all with the Nightstalker specialization. This allowed them to become invisible, making many enemies simply ignore them or just not see them.
The Falling Guillotine delivers the needed damage.
Can this be done solo? In another video, YouTuber Esoterickk shows how he completes the Grandmaster Nightfall solo in under 6 minutes. He uses the same technique to bypass enemies and ultimately kill the boss with a grenade launcher and his super while staying in cover.
If you want to try such a speed run yourself, keep in mind that the reward isn’t particularly high. Due to the many enemies skipped, there was only a bronze chest, but normally players need half an hour or longer to complete the Nightfall at all.
Since the shutdown of City of Heroes in 2012, players have been calling for a new, modern superhero MMORPG. With Valiance Online, such a game is coming, and you can test it soon in an Open Beta.
What is Valiance Online? The developers describe the game as an MMORPG in a vibrant world. You take on the role of superheroes and supervillains that you can develop according to your ideas by defining specific powers such as flying or superhuman strength and enhancing them.
You explore a large, open game world around the fictional city of San Cielo, which changes based on your actions and deeds. Supervillains want to dominate the world, while heroes stand against them, leading to a constant conflict.
Of course, the appearance of your character plays an important role. Superheroes and villains are always characterized by wacky costumes. Therefore, it is possible to customize your characters based on such costumes.
Additionally, you are allowed to create content such as quests for the MMORPG. This content will be approved by the developers and appear in the game.
Valiance Online is aimed at everyone who misses the MMORPG City of Heroes and finds it too risky to play on unofficial servers.

A new gameplay video from the developers of Valiance Online.
A brief Open Beta
When will the MMORPG be released? Valiance Online does not have a release date yet. However, an Open Beta has now been announced. It started today, on August 11.
What’s the catch? The Open Beta is time-limited. It will end on August 16.
What happens after that? The beta will return at an unspecified date, but in a closed form. Only backers of the game, who participate in the funding, will be able to continue experiencing adventures in the test version.
A second Open Beta is planned. This will start sometime after the backer beta.
How to participate: Everyone can participate in the Open Beta. You can find out how it works on the Play NC website.
On the official website of the MMORPG Valiance Online, you can donate some money and gain access to the alpha, which is already playable. Additionally, you will be able to continue playing after the Open Beta ends.

Red Dead Online received a new update on the night of August 11. It didn’t bring any significant changes, but rather a lot of problems.
What’s in the update? According to a tweet from the developers, the Varmint Rifle has been adjusted. The rate of fire has been significantly increased. Since there were no official patch notes, it is uncertain what else was changed.
However, although the update was not large, it introduced many bugs into the game. On reddit, threads are overflowing with problem reports. The list is quite long.
In addition to connection issues, there are even problems with shooting and NPC spawns. This currently makes Red Dead Online unplayable for many users.
A wide range of problems
What difficulties are there currently in RDO? The list of issues varies slightly depending on the thread and description. Also, not all players are affected. However, the range of problems is surprisingly broad.
The user Yougandy9891 summarizes the known issues on the PS4 as follows:
There are frequent disconnects, problems on the loading screen, and blue screens
Those currently browsing reddit, forums, or Twitter will find numerous examples for the described issues, such as a video from the “ghost town” with broken horses:

Pokémon GO has become an absolute favorite game for MeinMMO author Noah Struthoff since its release in 2016. Right now, however, he is taking a break. Why?
This is how I played: I consider myself to be one of the extreme players in Pokémon GO. I have nearly 300,000 catches and have played daily since the release in summer 2016 – often for several hours a day.
Sure, there are much more extreme players, but in my city, I am the trainer with the most catches and XP.
In recent weeks, however, I have slowed down in Pokémon GO a bit. There are days when I take a complete break and only do my daily catch and PokéStop visit. On other days, I play more, but find myself asking classic noob questions and not being as engaged in the game anymore.
Pokémon GO slows down – So I do the same
Why am I playing less? Even at the beginning of the year, Niantic started making decisions that I didn’t quite agree with. There were special Shinies only through raids or eggs, new Pokémon are being introduced more and more slowly, and many events just feel disappointing to me.
A recent example of this was the Dragon Week, which has just recently ended. Dratini, Surskit, and other dragon Pokémon everywhere. That sounds really cool for newcomers because these are strong and actually rare Pokémon. However, I have played the community days of Surskit and Dratini and already have enough candies and Shinies.
The last community days were quite a disappointment for me as well. Swablu, Surskit, Gastly, and most recently Magikarp. All Pokémon that are really weak or had already been introduced as Shiny previously in the game. This was not a big incentive for me to play.
This particularly bothers me: My biggest goal in Pokémon GO is to complete the PokéDex and hunt for new Pokémon. Therefore, the release of the 5th generation is a huge disappointment for me. This generation has been gradually released for about a year now. In recent months, it’s been even slower.
Again and again, a new Pokémon is added that can be found anywhere during an event, and then becomes quite rare again afterward.
So when you play the event, you have no problems finding the new Pokémon, and it’s not a challenge at all.
The release of Gen 5 is just taking too long for me.
This feels good: Don’t get me wrong, Pokémon GO is still my absolute favorite game and I will dive back in after my break, but this pause feels good.
Lastly, I noticed that I was playing events that weren’t that much fun anymore, and in the end, a game should make you happy and entertain. That’s why I took the break.
Now I’m wandering around my city a bit clueless and playing somewhat like a noob. During my two-week vacation, I sporadically followed the news about Pokémon GO and was pleasantly surprised each time. There were cool raid bosses and the rewards in the field research felt refreshing and good.
After accompanying every step of Pokémon GO for about 4 years, I can now rediscover the actual benefits of the AR game with some distance.
The Enigma Week is already much more to my liking, and I have played more than in the previous weeks. Now the compensation event for the GO Fest is coming up, and the Unova Week also sounds really good to me. So I’m looking forward to the next period in Pokémon GO – something I have said rather rarely in recent weeks.

MeinMMO author Maik Schneider is a Shipment fan, like many others, a Camo collector, and “Battle Pass” grinder in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. He now recommends the Warzone mode “Mini Royale” to every fan of the Chaos playlist, which challenges you just as much.
Ah yes, summer is here. Due to the crisis, many people are this year more likely to fight against the persistent film of sweat on their forehead on the couch rather than sandy swimsuits on the beach. But even a cold shower or the show-off dive from the tree at the local swimming lake are sometimes not as refreshing as a good round of Shipment.
While browsing the new playlist, I immediately realized that I would hardly be causing cursing enemies on the MW servers this week. The new mode “Mini Royale” remained in the Warzone playlist, and almost everyone who enjoys the chaos and action on Shipment will love this mode too.
In Shipment, you can quickly lose track despite the small size.
Shipment + MW = Mini Royale + Warzone … or something like that
Why do Shipment and Mini Royale resemble each other? Shipment stands for hard-hitting action without pause. Sometimes it happens that I literally hold my breath from the tension until I can finally call in the VTOL – or respawn.
On top of that, the constant war brings an outrageous amount of experience points. Combined with a double XP event, you can quickly get your firearms to max level or unlock the new weapons of the Battle Pass.
And these two important advantages of a round of chaos mode can be matched quite well by “Mini Royale”:
Action
Experience points
Because it condenses the “Battle Royale” experience to an action-packed level. There are only half as many players, but the playing field is smaller from the outset and this micro-BR also saves time. Instead of nearly half an hour, the “Mini Royale” usually ends after about 12 minutes. If you also get a few kills and achieve a decent placement, you’ll quickly earn a nice, shiny pile of experience points.
You can find the exact rules and circle timer in our special on “Mini Royale”:
This makes “Mini Royale” even better: If you land at the popular spots, you are virtually constantly tidying up. Hardly have you cleared your landing spot, the gas circle is nipping at your heels and at the next buy station, a team is already waiting that is also still out of breath from the start.
Like on Shipment or Shoot House, you are constantly under pressure and can almost be sure that there is a team within assault rifle range from the next roof.
Additionally, “Mini Royale” offers much more variety. Instead of constantly running around in squares and risking actually getting the dreaded “Square Eyes” from too much television, you fight each other at typical spots in Verdansk and get out of there.
You don’t need any elaborate tactics. You barely have time to execute a sophisticated recon strategy or collect secret items in the stadium and you don’t need to constantly hunt enemies to keep your concentration up. They will almost lock onto you by themselves. It’s enough if you slowly move with the circle to the last zone and secure a power position, like high ground, in that area.
You only play the beginning and the end of a typical Warzone match. This is not only good for the flow of the game, but also for your big “Battle Royale” rounds. Here you can excellently practice the entry and endgame of BR. And if things go wrong – no problem. The matches are so short that you rarely get upset about starting the next round.
The map starts much smaller in Mini Royale.
Shipment delivers better results for camos and missions
Although you earn many EP and are constantly under fire, nothing can compare to the soldier density of Shipment. While you can casually run through some of the Warzone missions in the small mode of “Mini Royale”, “50 kills with mounted weapons” would probably take too long.
In addition, “Mini Royale” does require some tactics. Shipment is often a pure reaction fireworks show, where you either shoot, run around a corner, or do both at the same time. And sometimes you just want exactly that and get annoyed when an enemy uses the upper floor of the containers again because then you have to aim up. While you need less tactical finesse in “Mini Royale”, a small plan is still very helpful.
All in all, with “Mini Royale”, you get a strong, new mode that now even stays longer in the playlist. If you’re a Shipment and chaos fan, you should definitely check this out. You will be amazed at how enjoyable and fun the mode is. Here is a strong PKM setup for a few casual rounds.
Do you also have a Shipment alternative that you can recommend?

Epos GSP 670 in detail
In the following section, we present the gaming headset in detail. We will address the following aspects:
Design and construction
Contents
The software
In the subsequent section, we will explain how the headset performs in practice.
Design and construction
What does the headset look like? The gaming headset comes in plain black and forgoes gimmicks like RGB lighting. The EPOS logo also appears understated.
The design is simple and understated and appears very robust. Image rights: EPOS.
What buttons does the headset have? The three function buttons and the micro-USB port for charging the device are located on the ear cups:
On the right ear, there are two volume controls: a large wheel to control overall sound and a small, ribbed wheel to adjust the microphone volume. The large wheel can also be used to turn the headset on and off.
On the left side, there is a ribbed sliding switch to put the headset into pairing mode (Bluetooth). During operation, the switch can also announce the battery status.
There is no extra button to turn off the microphone on the headset. To mute the microphone, it needs to be lifted up; alternatively, it can be muted through the software. However, the software must be opened for that, which is cumbersome.
What kind of design is it? The GSP 670 is an over-ear headset: this means that the headset is worn completely over the ears, with the ears sitting inside the ear cushions. The ear cushions can be removed and replaced. However, the microphone is firmly installed and cannot be removed.
Drivers of the headset
The EPOS|Sennheiser GSP 670 relies on the dynamic principle of conversion. These are comparatively cheap to manufacture but do not offer the sound diversity of magnetostatic or even electrostatic drivers. However, they are robust and not as sensitive as electrostatic drivers, which are considered high-end in audio technology.
Dynamic drivers are a good prerequisite for deep bass and a wide range of low tones, but they often struggle with the highs, as the inertia of the material usually adversely affects the sound.

Headset and accessories: USB cable, USB extension, quick guide, Bluetooth dongle, and the headset itself.
What accessories are there? In addition to the headset itself, there are
a USB-A cable to USB-Micro-USB
a USB extension cable
a quick guide in multiple languages
a Bluetooth dongle (GSA 70 dongle) to connect the headset to PlayStation 4 or PC
in the box. Despite the high price for the headset, however, there is no case or fabric bag for storing the headset included. Due to the high weight (398 grams) of the headset, the “EPOS|Sennheiser GSP 670” headset is indeed more intended for stationary than mobile use.
Software: EPOS Gaming Suite
What we like about the software: The software is simple, tidy, and offers good clarity. All important information can be accessed directly from the start screen. This includes the software and firmware version, quick settings, and the battery status of the headset.
The green color is also understated and pleasant to the eye. Manufacturers like Logitech and Roccat also rely on simple, understated designs, and that is good.
The software for the GSP 670 can be downloaded directly from the manufacturer (via eposaudio.com).
What the software can do: Additionally, various adjustments can be made to the headset through the software:
Sound can be switched between 2.0 Stereo and 7.1 Surround Sound
various equalizer settings are available
the microphone can be adjusted
There are also several equalizer presets that you can use.
Modern and tidy: The EPOS software for the GSP 670
We did not have any issues with the EPOS Gaming Suite, by the way. The profiles start without problems and are also easily accessible after a computer restart. If the headset is connected to the PC via cable, the firmware of the headset can also be updated without any problems. We used the headset with the following version:
Software version: 1.4.1.179
Firmware version headset: 3.1.34
Dongle firmware version: 3.1.34
What we don’t like so much: While there is a decent manual for the headset, there are only a few explanations for the software. Microphone amplification off, warm, or clear? We have to try the settings, as the software itself does not give us a clear answer.
It’s also a pity that the settings only work on the PC with the software. Console and smartphone do not benefit from the software, and they cannot be saved in the headset itself.
The Epos GSP 670 in practical testing
So far, we have presented the general data and facts about the GSP 670. But how does it perform in practice regarding sound, comfort, and the microphone? We present impressions and experiences from practice.
Comfort
The gaming headset from EPOS appears large and robust at first glance, and at 398 grams, it is not exactly lightweight.
The advantage of the large, robust headset is obvious. It fits snugly on the head, and due to its closed design, the ears are completely surrounded by the ear cushions. The external environment is only partially perceivable.
The GSP 670 worn. The ears are completely enclosed, and it fits snugly on the head.
Overall, the headset tends to sit very tightly on the ears. Those who sit for several hours at the PC or console playing will notice the pressure on their ears in the long run. This is not very comfortable after several hours.
For a better comparison, several other people were allowed to wear the headset, and all complained after a while about the very tight fit on the ears.
Sound quality
What we like: The headset performs well in the lower frequencies. The bass sounds powerful and pleasant; explosions and gunfire are well represented. For a gaming headset, it’s a good sound base.
What is less successful: However, the headset reaches its limits in the highs: here the sound is rather thin. Especially for gamers who like to listen to music while gaming, the moderate highs may be a bother.
With the EPOS Gaming Suite, the sound can be further adjusted. Several profiles are also available for selection.
What effects does the software have? The software allows for some fine adjustments; however, the quality difference between highs and lows is still noticeable:
In eSports mode, for example, the lows are slightly attenuated, making colleagues in voice chat sound clearer, and in-game noises are more distinct.
In music mode, on the other hand, the bass is emphasized, which benefits the overall sound image.
However, the software does not work on the smartphone or PlayStation 4. If you want to use the full range of features, you must use the GSP 670 on a Windows PC.
The microphone of the headset in close-up. Image rights: EPOS
Microphone
In contrast to the sound quality, which is predominantly convincing while gaming, the microphone is only mediocre. As a speaker, one is clearly understandable but sounds tinny and rather muffled.
This is probably also due to the transmission via Bluetooth. The sound is compressed, and the bitrate for transmission is reduced. The person on the other end of the connection can clearly hear this.
Unlike the Corsair HS50 or Logitech G PRO X, the microphone is also not removable. The manufacturer offers a 2-month accessory warranty period and replaces the entire headset during this period, depending on how the damage occurred.
Connection Type/Connectivity
How good is the Bluetooth connection? It should be positively noted that the Bluetooth connection remained stable throughout our test. Speaking and gaming over Bluetooth works flawlessly; sound and conversations reach our ears in perfect quality without delay.
With very cheap Bluetooth devices like the OneAudio A2, which we also tested, the quality suffers greatly when voice and sound are to be transmitted simultaneously. In contrast to cheap headsets, the sound is not converted using the handsfree codec.
What else can the headset do? Thanks to Bluetooth 5.0, it is even possible to pair the headset with the PC/PS4 and smartphone simultaneously. If you receive a call, the headset switches to the call and then back to the game. A nice feature that we hardly used in practice. If you want to learn more about Bluetooth, we have listed all the important information for you here:
MeinMMO author Benedikt Schlotmann says: With the HyperX Cloud Alpha, the Sennheiser Momentum Black, and a Roccat Noz, several headphones and headsets have already been on my desk. The EPOS|Sennheiser GSP 670 may not offer the excellent sound of a Momentum Black or such a clear microphone as the Roccat Noz, but this tested gaming headset is significantly better built and provides a flawless software experience combined with strong, lossless Bluetooth transmission without connection drops.
The EPOS|Sennheiser GSP 670 gaming headset proves to be a good headset with strengths in bass, build quality, and great Bluetooth connectivity. However, the overall picture is tarnished by the mediocre microphone and dull highs, as well as the relatively high price: with the Hyper X Cloud Flight, the competition offers a similarly good gaming headset at a significantly lower price (around 150 euros) but does not offer clear software or as robust built quality.
In the wireless sector, the GSP 670 is a robust and competitive representative.
Pros
very good shielding from the outside world
very bass-heavy, strong lows
excellent build quality and removable ear cushions
great connection via Bluetooth with PC, PS4, and smartphone
clear, meaningful software
Cons
fits very tightly on the head
mediocre microphone
average highs
high price
Who is the headset suitable for? The GSP 670 from EPOS/Sennheiser is mainly suitable for users looking for a modern Bluetooth headset. Especially with the software, the overall sound can be adjusted properly. The good build quality and excellent Bluetooth connectivity round off the overall picture.
Anyone looking for a headset mainly for gaming, who can overlook shortcomings in the high frequencies and the high purchase price of 319,- should take a look at the GSP 670.
