In a few really short scenes of the trailer, there are stadiums that did not exist in FIFA 22. The first video footage of FIFA 23 reveals the following new arenas:

In the FIFA 23 trailer, we can get our first look at the new free kick system of the football simulation. The scene is only brief, but some conclusions can already be drawn.
It seems that in FIFA 23, you no longer have to aim at the goal with a cursor. In the new system, you choose where the ball should be hit. Exciting: You can even select with which side of the foot to shoot.
There is even an info that shows how likely a goal success is from the free kick position.
Additionally new: A player can now lie behind the wall and try to block a low shot.
For FIFA fans, it should come as no surprise that a FIFA trailer is once again showcasing a ton of new animations. However, the new trailer also features exciting new skill moves that look quite useful.

Myth’s real name is Ali Kabbani, and he was one of the most successful streamers on Twitch with over 7.4 million followers
This is the video: It’s nothing new for big companies to use the faces of well-known influencers for advertising purposes. However, it is rare for the stars to be poked fun at so delightfully as in the music video that Xbox aimed to promote the Game Pass with.

The music video is so bad that it’s actually good
This is the deal: Xbox offered a deal in June where you could get a 3-month subscription for the PC Game Pass for only one dollar. Even in Germany, the trial subscription was available for one euro.
In line with this, Xbox formed the “world’s first streamer pop supergroup” and named it Three4One, or three for the price of one. This is all in reference to successful K-pop bands, where each member is assigned a role.
In the lead roles of Three4One: QTCinderella as “the leader”, IitzTimmy as “the edgy one” (in the original: the edgy one), and Myth as “the third one”. It is immediately clear that no one here is taking themselves too seriously.
Cringe as a Success Concept
So much embarrassment is packed into the video: The actually cool streamers wear a mix of glitter and animal prints. They bounce through a burst of bright effects and sing the praises of the deal.
The production of the self-referential video seemed to be quite fun for everyone involved. Earlier, Myth had already shared a “Behind the Scenes” video on Twitter. In it, the shooting is documented as a pseudo-documentary.
This “mockumentary” style is known from the cult series The Office. It naturally includes meaningful glances directly into the camera, which Myth skillfully presents here.

Who is the streamer?
xQc is one of the largest streamers on Twitch with an average of around 62,000 viewers and nearly 11 million followers.
He started as xQcOW, with “OW” being an abbreviation for the shooter Overwatch. He used to be a professional player but had to hang up his career because of several infractions due to multiple bans.
Recently, xQc made a tier list with the badges that are available on his Twitch channel for streamers, subscribers, and moderators. This is a small image that is visible in the chat in front of the username for all involved. Additionally, he talked about how those behind the badges behave according to him.

What did the streamer say? While creating the tier list, xQc looked through the chat logs of his viewers. He wanted to know if he interprets the behavior of the viewers with their respective chat badges correctly.
A chat log showed the question: “What about TwitchCon badges?”
To which xQc only replied: “Sickness.”
However, after a brief pause, he continued: “Buying a TwitchCon ticket is like buying an overpriced zoo ticket.”
But that was not all, as xQc elaborated further:
You watch the goblins online, so you probably want to see the goblins in real life up close. You just want to observe down-and-out species more closely. That’s sick!
Lengyel concluded that one must attend such events to feel that one’s life is more fulfilled. Sometimes one has to observe the down-and-out species to see what it’s like to be a complete failure.
What is a TwitchCon badge? Anyone who buys a ticket for the fair can get a badge that they can pick up at the TwitchCon on site. This also adorns the username in the chat.
What does the community say about this? In a reddit thread, you could read these statements:
UrNotBetterThanMe says: “You buy a plane ticket, a hotel room, expensive damn food, and a purple badge just to see Mizkif eating a bowl of ramen and Ludwig dressed like Fred Jones from Scooby Doo.”
Light_Ghost agrees with xQc: “I mean…yes, I can’t be mad about this opinion. Very true and real.”
BW4LL sees it differently: “Holy shit, people are so biased and project so much onto others. What if you just wanted to travel to a new place to have good food and maybe meet friends, and the TwitchCon was just the trigger (…).”
The majority of users in xQc’s chat found the statements funny and even agreed with them. They spammed laughing emotes and “true”. Even on reddit, the overwhelming majority shared the same opinion as the streamer.
The Norwegian Magnus Carlsen (31) has been the best chess player in the world since 2011. He is a five-time world champion but has now lost interest in defending his title. Instead, he has a new goal: he wants to crack the ELO rating of 2,900, the “chess high score.” No one has done that before him. Many consider this practically impossible.

To reach this goal, he needs to defeat other high-ranking players. This currently seems more important to him than a silly world championship title.
The ELO rating is a value that describes the strength of chess players. One earns ELO points for wins; losses cost ELO points – the number of points gained or lost depends on the ratio of one’s own ELO rating compared to the opponent’s: – “Normal players” have an ELO rating of about 1200. – Good players are around 1600 points. – At 2000, the true masters begin. – At 2200, one is considered a master. – At 2500, one is a grandmaster. – Carlsen and his opponents usually play around 2700 and above.
Carlsen simply cannot draw
What is the problem with this ELO rating? It is a problem that many MMO players should be familiar with: At the very top of such a distribution curve, it is incredibly difficult to get close to the final goal. There is no room for error anymore:
There are very few players at such a high level who would give Carlsen significant points if he defeats them. Since no one is higher than him, he always faces weaker opponents.
Even with a victory, there are only a few points available as a reward. However, every loss and every draw costs him valuable points.
Moreover, many matches at the top level end in a draw. To win a high-level chess game, one must win “big”; just having one more bishop than the opponent is not enough, after all, “King and Bishop” vs. “King” is a typical draw.
This is a problem for Carlsen because with drawn games against weaker opponents (i.e., anyone else), he loses more points.
Since September 2021, one can follow Carlsen’s arduous grind: for a win against the Croatian Sasa Marinovic, he received 1.5 ELO points. However, a draw against the Pole Wojtaszek cost him 2.1 points.
Ultimately, Carlsen played a total of 14 matches in September, winning 8 of them, but because he also had 6 draws, his rating only increased by 8.4 points. And September was a great month for him.
In March 2021, Carlsen played 13 matches, won only 3, had 9 draws, and even lost once. This already cost him 15.3 points: Alone, the loss against the Russian Esipenko hit him with -7.4 points. That one loss set him back by numerous won matches.
He has thus doomed himself to undertake an almost impossible grind with this goal.
Currently, Carlsen stands at 2,864 points, but he has hardly played any rated matches in the last 5 months. How long it will take him to get the missing 36 points is completely uncertain. “Theoretically,” it might take about 30 consecutive wins against grandmasters – only that seems to be an impossible task, as each draw and every loss sets him back considerably.

Just before the beta went offline, players discovered a mysterious message in the chat. Fans suspect: Blizzard is planning a fox support hero.

What did the cryptic message say? The message was “V2hhdCBkb2VzIHRoZSBmb3ggc2F5Pw==“. (via Twitter). At first glance, it seems to be a random string of characters. However, players cracked the code and recognized that it was base64 text.
What does the message say? Base64 is a language from computer programming. When you enter the text into a translator, the message reads: “What does the fox say?” (translated: What does the fox say?) (via base64decode.org)
“What does the fox say?” is a reference to the song “The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)” by Ylvis. It was released in 2013 and went viral on YouTube.

What did the hint from the trailer look like? In the trailer, which you can see above, you can find the fox hint between 01:16 and 1:20. In those few seconds, a blue-glowing fox can be seen running through the landscape.

What did Blizzard say on the official website? On July 19, 2022, Blizzard released a statement on its Overwatch website. The end of the Overwatch 2 beta was announced. In one paragraph, Blizzard mentions the fox:

What is behind the fox? In the community, the fox is known as “Kanezaka Fox Girl” (in English: Kanezaka Fox Girl).
Kanezaka is the name of a map in Overwatch, which is located in Japan. In this environment, the fox seems to be in the trailer. It runs through ghostly “Torii” architectures, which also have Japanese origins.

How to farm legendary gems: If you want to actively farm legendary gems, you need to run through Elder portals and enhance them with emblems. There are two types of emblems:
legendary emblems that guarantee you a legendary gem
rare emblems that provide a chance for a gem
It doesn’t matter how many emblems you use. The rewards scale linearly, so you receive the same amount of rewards for 3 portals with one emblem as for one portal with 3 emblems.
You can buy legendary emblems for real money in the shop, but both methods also work completely free of charge.
How do I do it for free? You receive legendary emblems for free in the Battle Pass at level 20 and once a month from the Hilt vendor in Westmark. For 1,600 Hilt, you get one emblem. You mainly receive Hilt:

Since Patch 1.5.2 and the previous Season 2 of Diablo Immortal, there are additional ways to obtain legendary emblems:

in exchange for 22 Fa runes at the jeweler
The emblems for Platinum and Fa runes are also “eternal” – you can even sell the resulting gems in the auction house. This is not possible with the “regular” legendary emblems.
As part of the Shadow faction, you can earn additional legendary emblems in the Shadow War. This takes place every week among the best shadow clans to possibly crown new Immortals.
If you are part of the Immortals, you can buy another legendary emblem each month from the Hilt vendor. If your clan becomes Immortal, you should immediately flock to the vendor. You can find out more about the factions in our guide to the Shadows and Immortals.
Rare emblems are also available in the Battle Pass, daily at the Elder portal, and also for Hilt from the vendor. The rare emblems are also limited but available in significantly greater numbers.

Rare emblems are more important than you think
Even though the community often criticizes that only legendary emblems really provide a benefit, rare emblems are not completely useless. In addition to the chance of a gem, you also receive guaranteed runes and a greater yield of Fading Sparks.
The sparks are only available in the portals, and you need them to buy more runes. This gets complicated as the dozens of different runes can lead to confusion.
In short: you need runes to craft legendary gems and purchase legendary emblems. This system is your best source for the absolute best gems you can get in the game if you do not want to pay.

Crafting Legendary Gems – All Materials Explained
Which gems can I craft? At every jeweler, you have the option to craft legendary gems with one star, two stars, or “up to 5 stars.”
Gems with a fixed number of stars can be recognized by their stars being filled and golden. They can either be crafted directly or randomly made, but always with a fixed number of stars.
Other gems have stars or grayed-out, empty stars after the filled star to indicate they are not at maximum.
What do I need for that? To craft all gems, you need various runes:
1-star gems: 7 Ati runes and 2 normal runes (varies by gem)
2-star gems: 28 Ati runes and 2 magical runes (varies by gem)
random gem with 1 star: 7 Fa runes
random gem with 2 stars: 28 Fa runes
random gem with 1, 2 or 5 stars: 22 Fa runes
for 22 Fa runes, you can also buy a legendary emblem – more on that below
You receive all runes from Elder portals with rare emblems. Each emblem guarantees you 4 random runes except for Fa as well as one Fading Spark. Fa runes can only be obtained from the vendor for Fading Sparks right next to the portal.
The sparks are still received from Elder portals even if you do not use emblems. So you will receive between 8 and 11 sparks guaranteed for each run. One Fa rune costs 18 Fading Sparks:
to craft a legendary gem with up to 5 stars, you need to complete 50 portals without an emblem (actually: 49.5)
if you use 3 rare emblems, you only need 36 portals, but in total, you will need 108 emblems
However, there is a limit of 280 sparks per week and a bonus limit of a total of 120 sparks per week for used emblems.

Crafting 5-Star Gems – What You Need to Know
If you use the option to craft a random gem with “up to 5 stars,” that is exactly what is meant. There’s no guarantee you’ll receive 5 stars. The chance of that is relatively low.
The infamous “5* Gems” can also drop or be crafted with fewer stars. So if you ever read something in chat about a “2/5 Star,” you’ll know that a gem with potentially 5 stars but only 2 actual stars is being referred to.
However, it’s advisable not to wait until you have the “perfect stone.” While upgrading, the invested gem power accumulates, and you can even increase the stars of gems once you find a matching gem with more stars.
Upgrades always pay off, as you can later use that stone to upgrade other gems. The invested gem power also scales linearly, so it is fully retained. Gems with potentially 5 stars are usually necessary or useful for builds even without their full power.
The reason is that with the emblems, you have a “mercy counter.” Every 50th emblem gives you a guaranteed gem with ?/5 stars. However, this is not the case with crafting, which significantly increases the value of the emblems.
Since you can also sell the corresponding gems, you have an additional way to earn Platinum – either when the gem is useless for your class or you prefer to stick with weaker gems that have a higher rank.
Since you can also receive guaranteed Fading Sparks and runes with the emblems, grinding is also worthwhile if you want to invest many hours in Diablo Immortal. Other sources of loot, such as legendary equipment or upgrade materials, seem to be subject to certain limits:
FIFA 23 will finally introduce proper crossplay. However, fans of the popular Pro Clubs mode are disappointed.
For years, FIFA players have wished for crossplay. After some initial tests in FIFA 22, this dream will finally come true in FIFA 23. However, not all FIFA fans are thrilled, as the popular Pro Clubs mode will be left out.
This is crossplay: Many shooters like Fortnite or Warzone demonstrate it. They can be played across consoles without any issues. This allows PC players to play together with PlayStation and Xbox owners. This will now also be possible in FIFA 23 – just not in all game modes.
