Today, on September 10th, the Pokémon GO Piepi event is taking place under the moonlight. We will show you what’s happening.
What kind of event is it? A few weeks ago, Niantic announced the Piepi event. It is relatively small event that is active for only a few hours in the evening.
What happens during it? Wild Piepi will appear more frequently during the event. You have a chance to find and catch shiny Piepi. However, the chances of finding shiny forms are not increased during the event.
Start time, Shiny – What happens afterwards?
When does it run? The Piepi event runs today, Saturday, September 10th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM local time.
What do the Shiny look like? Although there is no official announcement from Niantic that the chances of shinies are increased, trainers hope that this bonus is simply not mentioned. If you are looking for a shiny variant, you can already get an idea from the graphic below.
Piepi and Pixi in normal form and as shiny for comparison
What is special about the event? Even at the announcement, players noticed that the bonuses of the event are very low. At first glance, only more Piepi are supposed to spawn in the wild.
Nevertheless, trainers are excited (via reddit) about the event because it does something different from the previously known short events: The time window.
The time from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM suits some trainers better because they have less to do in the evening hours. Other events that are only active for a few hours take place earlier in the day, such as the Community Day in September, which is active from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
How do you like an event like this? Do you think it’s good that Niantic is trying these time-limited events in the evening or do you not like these short events at all? Write us your answer here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers about it.

In April 2022, the then 18-year-old Kyle “Danny” Sakamki finally became a star in the US League of Legends. In the finals of the LCS Spring Split, he broke two records and played an amazing series. Half a year later, the ADC seems to be in a crisis and is taking a break – just before the next finals in LoL.
What makes Danny special?
Danny is an exceptional talent in North America: The region is notorious for hardly producing strong young players at home, preferring to import seasoned stars from South Korea, China, or Europe.
But Danny was able to hit the ground running in the LCS and dominated games at times from the bot lane.
He seemed unfazed by pressure: His strongest game came in the finals, where he broke records for kills in the playoffs and pentakills.
Here’s how it went in the following season: One might think that such a young player would experience a drop in performance after a championship. But the ADC kept going strong in the summer:
Danny played strongly in the season and achieved the most kills in the league with 88 (via oracleselixir).
He had a KDA of 7.5, with only teammate Vulcan and mid lane legend Bjergsen standing higher after 18 games.
Danny doesn’t really look like a cold-blooded killer – But he is one in LoL.
Teams focus on Danny in the bot lane
What is the problem now? In the playoffs, things are not going well for Danny. The opposing teams are focusing their play on specifically taking Danny out of the game. This, in turn, seems to unsettle Danny and leads to mistakes.
In the playoffs, his stats collapsed:
He already has 35 deaths, which is 9 more than in the entire regular season.
Against Team Liquid, he racked up 11 deaths. As Dot Esports reports, this was due to “poor decisions and positional play.”
His KDA has now fallen to 3.5 after 14 games.
Despite everything, Evil Geniuses qualified for the finals of the Summer Split because the other lanes stepped up, especially jungler Inspired delivered.
Many characters from the Netflix series on LoL, Arcane, can also be played in the game:
Start video
LoL: We introduce the champions from Arcane in gameplay
This is the decision now: As his team Evil Geniuses announces, Danny will sit out the finals. He is focusing on his “mental health”. It is said that it takes “a great deal of courage and self-awareness” to make such a decision, especially since Danny means so much to his teammates.
It is said:
Kyle is part of our family and we will support him in every possible way while he takes a break. We look forward to welcoming him back when he is ready. To the fans of the LCS community, we say: Please show Kyle nothing but unwavering support and the empathy he deserves from all of us.
Evil Geniuses
What’s behind this: It is truly a courageous decision from both the player and the organization to “protect” their probably most valuable player now. It is also a wise decision:
Apparently, every team they encounter has now aimed to take Danny out of the game by any means necessary and are using all their resources to prevent him from shining.
While this is an advantage for the other lanes, it is certainly a huge burden for the 18-year-old to be in the spotlight and to have to process so many negative experiences in a game.
Rather than risk a career that started off so brightly hitting a bump, it is certainly sensible for Danny to take a break to gain a different perspective.
For Evil Geniuses, the season is still long, as they have already qualified for Worlds 2022. And then, completely different calibers await the 18-year-old in the bot lane, such as Viper:
Season 18 in Destiny 2 kicks off today into its third weekend. Before that, however, players can expect Xur, the exotic vendor. If you don’t own all Exotics yet, you should definitely pay him a visit. We tell you where to find him and what he has to offer.
What happened this week in Destiny 2? Guardians in Destiny 2 are currently wearing gold. They are fulfilling not only the special wish of a grieving father. They are also participating in “Childhood Cancer Awareness” month, which aims to raise awareness about cancer in children. So far, thousands of Guardians have followed the call.
Maybe you want to join in to support the Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Then find the golden shaders in your collection and equip them. The third-party app “Destiny Item Manager” has also come up with a particularly golden help for this.
Bungie has also revealed new information about the removal of the power level. Something that some players would like to get rid of completely without hesitation. Apparently, fewer and fewer Destiny 2 players want to grind hard for levels and therefore wish for changes. The latest statements from Bungie have now given them hope that adjustments are already in the works.
There was also a lot going on with weapons this week in Destiny 2:
Guardians should now play “Wunschender” – He is a monster!
All info about Xur on September 9, 2022 – PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia
When does Xur come? The exotic vendor visits Destiny 2 every Friday at 7 PM. Anyone who has gaps in their exotic collection is expecting him then, as he is the easiest way to get exotics. It only costs a one-way trip and some materials as payment.
Where is Xur? This is his location for the weekend
Xur’s location: Every week, Xur can be found at a different location. So you never know exactly where to find him.
This week you will find Xur again in the tower in the hangar. You can see his exact location on the map.
Xur is located in the hangar on the tower.
Xur’s inventory from September 9 – 13 – All Exotics at a glance
What does Xur have to offer? As the chosen exotic vendor of the “Nine”, a mysterious group in Destiny 2, Xur delivers new weapons and armor to players on their behalf every week. All characters, including Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans, can shop with him. Whether you are new to the game or already an experienced Guardian. His goods are guaranteed to be better than the offerings from Spider.
This week he is selling you the following goods:
Exotic Weapon: The Colony – Void Grenade Launcher for 29 Legendary Shards
Titan: Unyielding Sentinel – Arc Helm for 23 Legendary Shards
Mobility: +6
Resilience: +20
Recovery: +7
Discipline: +9
Intellect: +8
Strength: +11
Total: 61
Warlock: Skull of Dire Ahamkara – Arc Helm for 23 Legendary Shards
Mobility: +9
Resilience: +13
Recovery: +10
Discipline: +2
Intellect: +10
Strength: +17
Total: 61
Hunter: Gwisin Wrap – Solar Chest Armor for 23 Legendary Shards
Mobility: +4
Resilience: +17
Recovery: +12
Discipline: +9
Intellect: +13
Strength: +8
Total: 63
Xur’s offer from September 9 – 13
Our purchasing recommendation: The Titan exotic “Unyielding Sentinel” is definitely worth recommending. Especially if you don’t have one yet. For Titans, a resilience of 20 is quite good.
Xur also sells Legendary items and offers unique rolls for exotics from no longer available exotic missions of past DLCs each week. However, note: You can only buy the weapons if you also own the corresponding DLC.
You can only shop for the DLC exotics if you also own the DLC!
Currently, he has these two weapons available:
The exotic hand cannon “Fallen Moon” (Beyond Light) with the perk “Eye of the Storm”
The exotic scout rifle “Tale of a Dying Man” (Beyond Light) with the perk “Lawless”
The cost of the weapons: For these two exotics, the cost is each 1 Ascendant Shard, 1 Exotic Code, 125,000 Glimmer, and 200 Legendary Shards.
Xur always has: You can always get an exotic engram for 97 Legendary Shards from Xur, as well as the weekly quest to obtain an exotic code.
The Iron Banner and its explosive outburst
Fans of hard endgame PvP will have to wait a little longer. The start date for Trials of Osiris in Season 18 is September 16. Currently, the mode “Eruption” is active at Lord Saladin in the Iron Banner.
“Eruption” is the new mode in the Iron Banner.
What is Eruption and how does the mode work?? It is a modified version of the former team deathmatch mode “Conflict,” which Bungie has adorned with a new “BOOMSHAKALAKA!” Just like in “Conflict,” you also earn points for your kills in “Eruption.”
How is Eruption received by players? Currently, the community is still divided across different social media channels.
However, it can be said that the new mode is “hellishly fun” for above-average players, but “hellishly miserable” for below-average players, as player MegaJoltik aptly summarizes the situation on reddit about Eruption.
What do you think of this, as the German Destiny 2 community? Do you find Eruption “hellishly fun” or “hellishly miserable”? Feel free to share your experiences in the comments.

When new games are released, some Twitch streamers do everything they can to get their hands on the game especially early. They anticipate many viewers if they showcase it before anyone else. But as a streamer from the US has now found out, this can also bring trouble. The streamer NaDeXe reportedly bought an early version of NBA 2k23 and received a Twitch ban.
Which game is it about?
The new basketball game from Take-Two, NBA 2k23, is actually set to release today, on September 9th.
However, Twitch streamer NaDeXe reported that he got an “early version” of the game for $200 (via twitter). He got his hands on the game at 6 AM on September 8th. At that time, the servers for NBA 2k23 were still offline.
By noon on September 8th, it was finally time, the servers went online and the Twitch streamer got started. He was one of the first on Twitch with his “early purchased copy” – well before the launch of the digital version. He joked that he “flew all the way to New Zealand” for it.
These Twitch bans sneak up on you:

Early access pays off for Twitch streamers – Many viewers
Here’s how it went: When the Twitch streamer ventured onto the platform with NBA2k23, viewers flocked to him.
He had about 3,000 viewers on average
At peak, the number even rose to 4,533 – that was around 1:20 PM
The numbers were about 4 times higher than his normal figures, so it was a full success
Streamer receives ban – Take-Two lifts embargo 5 minutes later
That was the cruel part: The streamer believes he was only banned because he showcased NBA 2k23 before the official servers launched on Twitch.
He angrily complained that the ban was completely unfair; he streamed at the same time as everyone else. However, he ignored the fact that he had started significantly earlier and had already streamed for several hours by the time of the ban.
Apparently, the streamer only needed to wait a bit before going live on Twitch. Because Ronnie 2k lifted the streaming embargo on September 8th at 4:30 PM. Ronnie 2k is the marketing specialist of 2k with over 1.3 million followers on Twitter.

In early September 2022, the Fortnite streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins (31) announced a break from Twitch and social media. Now he makes a ridiculous comeback, but it is not well received by everyone.
Background:
Ninja had his big breakthrough with Fortnite in late 2017 and subsequently achieved an unprecedented career: He was constantly present on Twitch, even invited to talk shows and is probably the first true mainstream streamer.
At the same time, Ninja’s exclusive contract with Twitch also ended; he no longer has the status of a “partner” – this led to speculation: Is a switch to YouTube being prepared, or is he burnt out and quitting entirely?
In the meantime, it seems as if Ninja faked the burnout to announce a unique comeback.
Ninja discovered Fortnite at just the right time and became huge. Everything you need to know about the colorful shooter from Epic can be found here:

Muted reactions to Ninja’s big comeback: Interesting, but …
This comeback is about: On September 9, a little over a week after his alleged burnout, Ninja announced his comeback, and the video received over 700,000 views on Twitter. The twist: Ninja wants to stream everywhere – apparently simultaneously.
The whole thing is set to kick off tomorrow, September 10, 2022, at 7:00 PM our time.
Ninja is set to appear on these platforms: Ninja announced that he wants to be “live everywhere”. He listed all the common platforms: Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. He didn’t completely rule out Patreon and Onlyfans, although the latter is likely just a joke.

What makes this special: As esports journalist Jake Lucky reported, Ninja is the first major streamer to want to livestream on every site. However, he saw it as a sign that there weren’t any major exclusive offers for Ninja (via Twitter).
The action could be linked to a recent rule change by Twitch: Streamers now have more freedom to stream on other platforms, with restrictions for partners. DrDisrespect had already thought in a similar direction:
However, Jake Lucky also mentioned that he is curious how the combined audience would look. This sentiment also seems to be shared by MMORPG streamer Zack, better known as “Asmongold.” He reacted to Ninja’s announcement video and said: “There’s nothing really exciting about it.”
This is Asmongold’s take: The WoW streamer likely thinks this is not a good idea. He fears that interaction with viewers and overall quality could suffer from the multistreaming. One single stream with 7,000 viewers is preferable to 7 streams with 1,000 viewers each.
Given the changed rules from Twitch, Asmongold is also curious about this development. Because if Ninja is successful with the action, others will surely follow suit soon. He is basically trying it out for everyone.
Nevertheless, he seems to consider the step a wrong decision: Ninja should have simply moved to YouTube, as he is popular there.
Asmongold thinks Ninja doesn’t need this
Did Asmongold have anything positive to say? Absolutely. In Asmongold’s eyes, Ninja has “won the game.” He is the most successful gamer. However, one cannot always be as popular as Ninja was in 2018, that is just the way things go.
I have the impression that [Ninja] should just sit back and relax. He should enjoy being, in my opinion, the first mainstream gaming celebrity. Screw the viewers, just do what you want.
Asmongold via Twitch
Asmongold seems unable to really understand why Ninja is going to such lengths. He could simply spend time with his wife and friends.
What do you think of Ninja’s comeback? Is it an interesting experiment or rather a desperate attempt to cling to past glory? Would you be interested in such multi-platform streams and if so, where would you prefer to see them? Feel free to leave a comment with your opinion.
When Ninja is not streaming on half a dozen platforms simultaneously, he is trying to help others on their path to success as a streamer. However, his streaming course receives a lot of criticism.
The creators behind Legends of Aria are trying to revive the failed MMORPG with various blockchain features. This year, Pay2Win characters have already been introduced, which you can purchase with your own cryptocurrency. Now a metaverse prison is to follow to punish players who break the rules.
Legends of Aria has been through tough times. It was originally supposed to be a new kind of Ultima Online, but players stayed away. After they wanted to revise the concept for 2021, the project was acquired by Blue Money Games.
This company specializes in blockchain and crypto elements, and since the acquisition, Legends of Aria has been switched to a Play2Earn concept. Since then, there has been a cryptocurrency that you can use in the game and Pay2Win characters, which are also NFTs.
Legends of Aria has undergone a significant overhaul to survive. Some failed Kickstarter projects could have benefited from this as well. More about that in the video:

Legends of Aria introduces metaverse prison
What is the metaverse prison? Legends of Aria has a crime system where there are different punishments for various crimes. If you are convicted as a murderer, your skills and character stats will be reduced.
In the future, if you continue your rampage as a murderer, players can send you to prison with a click after they kill you. Then players near you will receive a notification asking them to participate as jurors in your trial.
You will then have the opportunity to defend yourself in front of these jurors through the in-game chat during the trial. A judge chosen by the developers will ultimately decide your fate.
The prison is supposed to offer its own gameplay: You can join gangs with other inmates or reduce your sentence by working, for example by collecting ore in the mine.
Your prison sentence can range from a few hours to a week. If that feels too long, you can also attempt an escape. Either you team up with other inmates to overpower the guards or your guild tries to break you out of prison.

Is the idea really new? No, not really. Similar systems have already existed in other MMORPGs. What is really new is that such a system is being implemented for the first time in a Pay2Earn game.
Whether the system can truly deter players from breaking the rules remains to be seen. But what do you think? Is this better than simply banning players for a certain period? Can you imagine such a system in other games? Feel free to let us know in the comments.
In Pokémon GO data-miners have unearthed new assets showing four Pokémon that are likely to come to the game soon. Which ones are they?
Where does the info come from? The “Pokéminers” shared a new find in the Pokémon GO subreddit “TheSilphRoad”.
The Pokéminers are a group of data miners who regularly search for new assets and content and present these before they land in the game.
So, this is a leak, not official information from Niantic. Therefore, the data might still be changed or removed.
However, it is likely that these 4 monsters will ultimately land in the game sooner or later. And especially one of these monsters is already causing fear and dread among some players.

From top left to bottom right: Garstella, Aggrostella, Lunala, Kaguron
These are the monsters: A total of four monsters and their shiny variants have been added. They include:
Lunala: Lunala is a legendary Psychic/Ghost Pokémon. It is one of the possible evolutions of Cosmog, which you can obtain in the current “cosmic companion” quest . It represents the moon and is the counterpart to Solgaleo.
Kaguron: Kaguron also belongs to the seventh generation and is of Steel and Flying type. The curious design might reveal it: this is again an Ultra Beast.
Aggrostella: This is the evolution of Garstella and also a Poison/Water monster. This monster is the one currently causing remarkable reactions among players.
The energy drink manufacturer G FUEL is one of the biggest sponsors for gaming influencers on YouTube and Twitch. But now Twitch streamers like “demonjoe” (Destiny 2) are ending their business relationship with the company. The reason is a scandal from June 2022. G FUEL is said to have already lost more than 75 partners and 50 million followers on social media as a result of the scandal.
Where is the information coming from? The site Digiday published an insider report on the toxic workplace G FUEL on September 7.
For this, they obtained a statement from the company, spoke anonymously with some former employees, and also with partners who are now distancing themselves from G FUEL.
CEO is said to have insulted employees and fired them afterward
What is the scandal? G FUEL fired seven talent managers on June 16. The day before, five of them reportedly complained to the HR department that the head of the company used derogatory language during a meeting. The fired employees expressed their displeasure about the dismissal on Twitter.
CEO Cliff Morgan is said to have referred to former employees as “lazy motherfuckers”. The company has admitted this. However, it is claimed that this was not an insult directed at individuals, but rather a general description of the employees’ work.
Additionally, Morgan is said to have referred to current employees as “slow-witted” and pressured them to work harder. He reportedly ended the call by half-heartedly assuring that no one would be fired, according to anonymous sources.
A spokesperson for the company states that employees were let go due to “a lack of performance” as part of a “restructuring”. Some employees received severance for 6 weeks.
This is the “normal” way to earn a lot of money on Twitch, although many streamers also use sponsorship deals. In these deals, G FUEL is at the forefront:
Start video
Prime Gaming, the secret behind Twitch’s success
More than 75 partners are said to have left G FUEL in protest
These are the effects: The talent managers are important points of contact for the influencers they work with. Following their dismissal, more than 75 partners are said to have terminated their collaboration with G FUEL, as reported by Digiday.
The 7 talent managers who were fired, including 3 women, are reported to have managed 34 of these 75 or more influencers.
The streamer demonjoe says: He was with G FUEL for 3 years and is not leaving on good terms.
This is what one of the people leaving says: “demonjoe” is a Twitch streamer and YouTuber about Destiny 2. He terminated his contract with G FUEL after learning of the allegations. He told Digiday:
It was a big part of my income through YouTube, Twitch, and so on. I’m giving up quite a lot.
demonjoe
He was allowed to terminate the contract without issues or problems from G FUEL; only the paperwork took a week to complete.
Who else is leaving? After the report from Digiday, large partners of G FUEL, such as NFL quarterback Kurt Benkert, have also distanced themselves.
As a result of the departures, G FUEL is said to have lost over 50 million followers on social media, according to Digiday. This apparently refers to G FUEL’s total reach when considering all channels of the partners involved.
When we talk about Twitch, we often refer to the superstars who have secured large exclusive contracts with the platforms. But for mid-tier streamers on Twitch, such sponsorship deals like with G FUEL are essential:
The developers have introduced a new user interface (UI) for the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. However, many gamers are complaining about the changes and stating that they are not satisfied. MeinMMO explains what is being criticized.
When you start your Xbox Series X, S, or Xbox One, you are first greeted by the console’s menus. This is where you select your games and apps or switch to the store and purchase new products.
Now Microsoft has announced that it wants to revise the Xbox menus. The first insiders have been allowed to use the new interface since September 9. However, many players are not really happy with the changes.
Microsoft presents changes, wants to listen to players
What are these changes? Microsoft is currently distributing a new home interface for Xbox consoles to Xbox insiders. The changes include various optimizations of the layout and design to make it easier to find Xbox games and apps. Additionally, the settings are being adjusted.
In an interview with the online magazine TheVerge, Ivy Krislov, Senior Product Manager Lead of Xbox Experiences, explains that there is still much to learn and they want to approach the users:
We also know that we can always listen and learn how to improve this area without the player experience becoming too fast and familiar. For this reason, we are launching a series of experiments over the course of several months to learn how to create a more personalized home screen experience and fulfill some of the major trends and fan wishes.
However, the first experiments receive little positive feedback and the reactions are quite negative. Many users hope that Microsoft will truly listen to its insiders and not make various changes.
This is what the new interface for Xbox consoles is supposed to look like.
“It looks extremely cluttered.”
What are the reactions like? There is already an extensive thread on reddit about the new design where many gamers are complaining (via reddit.com). Many find the new design to be even more cluttered than the previous design. For instance, one user complains (via reddit.com):
The store, My games and apps, Gamepass… pretty much everything can be accessed through the Xbox button menu. In my opinion, there is no reason to have 4 different ways to access the same thing. (…) Just give us more creative control over the dashboard.
Another user announces: “My God, this might be the worst version yet. I am in the insider alpha phase, so I will tear it apart for everyone’s benefit.”
What do players wish for? Many Xbox owners primarily want a clearer interface with fewer contents. Another desire is for more personalization for the home screen. They want to be able to decide which content is visible on the “personal” side of the Xbox and which is not.
What do you think? Do you like the new design, or do you also prefer a simplified menu and simpler menu? Let us know in the comments!

Blizzard has now opted for a very radical solution: The most popular realms will be closed, and new players will no longer have access to them.
What is currently happening in WoW Classic? The pre-patch for Wrath of the Lich King Classic has brought huge numbers of players back to World of Warcraft, flocking to the realms. Many want to use the time before the official launch to level a Death Knight or prepare another class for Northrend.
The problem that has arisen: A large portion of players seems to want to congregate on a handful of realms that are now bursting at the seams. This leads to ridiculous wait times of 8 hours or more and also causes lag on the realms.
No improvement has been in sight for days. Therefore, voices are increasingly being raised that Blizzard should do something to improve the situation.
While free character transfers from the overcrowded realms are available, they are used very little. It makes sense, as most want to play on the realm where their friends are and fear ending up on a “dead” realm, where groups can no longer be formed and the economy has come to a standstill.
If you are currently playing WoW Classic, you actually receive a mount in modern WoW:
Start video
In WoW you can get a new mount, but you have to play Classic for that
A common request in the WoW forum or subreddit is for Blizzard to stop being so stingy and simply upgrade the capacity of the respective realms. Here Blizzard clarified in the official WoW forum: This is simply not possible. The busy realms are operating at the limits of what is technically feasible.
We start with a simple and clear statement: The mega-realms in the US and EU regions that currently have to deal with queues are completely full. That is the absolute state of affairs, and there are no additional capacities that can be added to these realms to allow more players or reduce wait times.
The reaction of many players to this is that Blizzard should simply open more layers on the full realms, so that more players have space in the game world. However, that is also not a solution, as layers cannot increase a realm’s capacity:
[…] Layers do not increase capacity in any way. […]
The capacity of a realm is determined by the number of connections the server can handle simultaneously. Each time a player connects to the realm, that connection interacts with multiple services, systems, and adds load to the database, which collects data in connection with players, spells, quests, creatures, auctions, and so on. When the total number of all connections to a realm’s database reaches a certain amount, performance decreases or fails at several levels, leading to symptoms such as massive lag in the auction house, chat issues, or delays in looting items.
Never before in WoW’s history have realms had such a large capacity as now, and even with our modern capacity, we sometimes experience performance issues when the realms are full or databases are overloaded.
Players have only one choice: They must switch realms
Blizzard clearly states that capacity cannot be increased without causing even more problems. Therefore, they clearly state that there is only one solution:
Currently, the best and only way to mitigate the problems for the affected realms is to use the free transfer and leave these realms. There is no technical solution for this matter. There is no hardware solution for this matter. The situation will not improve when Wrath of the Lich King Classic launches at the end of September; it will only get worse.
WoW completely locks realms
A first step to at least somewhat contain the problems seems drastic. The most popular realms can no longer be targets for paid character transfers. Additionally, it is no longer possible to create new characters on the overcrowded realms.
In other words: Those who do not yet play on the overcrowded realms will not be able to do so in the foreseeable future.
These restrictions will remain in place indefinitely, possibly for several months.
No, and Blizzard keeps trying to emphasize this. Many players are concerned that the not fully employed realms will be essentially “dead” in a few weeks and that no groups can be found there. In fact, Blizzard points out that the capacities of the different realms far exceed what was possible during the original Wrath of the Lich King time.
For example, the EU realm “Everlook” is overall 3 times larger than a realm that was fully utilized back then, and even seemingly less populated realms like “Razorfen” or “Earthshaker” have a population twice as high as before.
So, we cannot speak of dead realms here.
Will you give in and leave the full “mega-realms”? Or will you ride it out, no matter how long the wait time is in the end?

The new firmware update for the PS5 brought along some long-awaited features as well as a hidden feature that will especially please the trophy collectors among you. MeinMMO explains what this is all about.
After several beta phases, Sony finally released the new firmware update firmware 22.02-06.00.00 for the PS5. This includes some quality-of-life improvements, such as voice command YouTube search and direct launching of Remote Play through the PS app, as well as features long awaited by players:
You can finally organize your game collection in folders
Support for WQHD (1440p). This resolution is becoming increasingly common among gamers.
Moreover, there is an additional hidden function that should especially delight the trophy hunters among you.
By the way, a pro controller for the PS5 was recently introduced by Sony:

This is the new feature for trophy collectors
Many players find the hunt for trophies on the PS5 very enjoyable. However, it can also be very tedious and time-consuming. All those who lack patience and simply want to collect trophies as quickly as possible should take a look at the trophy menu of their PS5.
If you press “Options” here, you will find a new toggle that allows you to display all trophies – including the previously hidden ones. Previously, this only worked for individual trophies.
However, this option automatically turns off again once the console is restarted.
And whether you really want to spoil yourself this way is something you should think carefully about, as there are generally good reasons why developers hide certain trophies – such as hints on story progression that should be avoided.
What do you think? Do you think it’s good that you can now view the secret trophies as well, and are you even considering using this new feature actively? Feel free to let us know in the comments.

This is what realistic photos of GTA characters from Vice City, GTA 5, and other parts of the series look like. Some are really well done and show how the protagonists can look in real life.
What does the AI do? With artificial intelligence, it is possible to create completely new images. In other fields of application, one can modernize images and photos.
Our colleagues from 3djuegos.com have fed screenshots of GTA characters like Tommy Vercetti or Niko Bellic into the AI and shared the results.
GTA characters photorealistic – This is how good they look
This is what the AI shows: In the following image gallery, you can see

This is how the characters might look if they play a role in new parts of GTA again, leaving outdated graphics behind. Of course, the characters are based on real people who look like them. Here in the article, we discuss the AI results. Maybe some faces will appear again in Grand Theft Auto VI. Early leaks and rumors suggest that GTA 6 has a Vice City setting. So will Victor Vance and Tommy Vercetti return with enhanced graphics, as seen above?

Danish Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg (26) is considered the greatest player of League of Legends the USA has ever produced. From 2013 to 2019, he played for the US team SoloMid and became a champion 6 times. Then he retired from LoL and worked as a coach for TSM. In November 2021, he made a return and wanted to make a big comeback with a super team. However, the “Team Liquid” project has failed for now, and the dream of Worlds 2022 seems unattainable.
Who is Bjergsen?
The Dane Bjergsen is probably the most popular western LoL player overall: He has 1.3 million followers on Twitter. On September 7, a panel of experts elected him as “the best player in LCS history” (via twitter).
His story is legendary: He grew up in Denmark, was an unhappy boy struggling with depression, played LoL with a group of friends, moved to the distant USA in 2013, and became an immensely popular star in League of Legends over the years.
His professional life was inseparable from Team SoloMid; he was the franchise player of the huge LoL team. He has won 6 championships. However, his international performance was never that great: After a disastrous Worlds 2019, he ended his professional career at the age of 24. In 2020, he trained TSM.
Bjergsen is an absolute star in LoL in the West:

Team Liquid recruits Bjergsen to build a super team
This was the plan: At the end of 2021, it became clear: The Dane wants to prove himself once again. But despite all efforts from TSM CEO Reginald, he could no longer be retained at Team SoloMid, Bjergsen moved to “Team Liquid”.

In the jungle, experienced player Santorin (25) played alongside the Dane
Up-and-coming French player Hans Sama (23) was supposed to shine in the bot lane; he came from the top European team Rogue
The team also included “CoreJJ” (28): The South Korean supporter has long been considered one of the best support players in the USA
Bwipo has been a pillar for Fnatic for years.
Bjergsen competes with the oldest team in the league – competition is 4 years younger
What stood out? Team Liquid had 4 Europeans and one South Korean under contract, all experienced players with big names. No one on the team was born in North America, and for LoL standards, the team was quite old:
In December 2021, the average age at Team Liquid was 24 – it was the oldest team in the league
It was clear: Team Liquid should compete for the championship, perhaps even save America’s honor at Worlds.
For the future, the team was truly not designed.
It became a problem for Bjergsen, the German mid-laner Abbedagge (100 Thieves).
Team fails for the second time against Evil Geniuses, a team 4 years younger
How did it go then? Initially, everything went well. The team won the regular season of the LCS in spring with a clear 14-4. However, in the playoffs, things went awry:
In the league, they only finished in 3rd place. The “young teams”, 100 Thieves and Evil Geniuses won the regular split.
In the playoffs, it went exactly like in spring:
First, they lost to 100 Thieves 3-2,
then they had to concede 3-2 to Evil Geniuses. Team Liquid managed to largely remove EG’s star player, ADC Danny, from the game, but it wasn’t enough. Top-laner Impact and mid-laner Jojopyun managed to turn the games around.
Both times, the “super team” failed against the same two teams. Bjergsen’s dream at Worlds 2022 is temporarily dashed.

One of the decisive fights that sealed Team Liquid’s fate.
Good players, but difficult teamwork
What was the issue? From the start, the team lacked consistency. At one moment, they could eliminate top teams of the LCS effortlessly, while at other times, they messed up games against seemingly easy opponents.
In an interview with Dexerto, jungler Santorin explained that they felt the high expectations for the super team:
“You can definitely feel the pressure. There is an expectation that you win the whole thing and that you are a super team and crush everyone. And I think those expectations put the team in a position where you either meet the expectations or you don’t.”
According to Santorin, while the individual players were extremely good, it just didn’t work properly as a team.
Supporter CoreJJ said in an interview with Inven on August 9 that it was difficult to build teamwork since all 5 players had a different perspective on the game.
On Twitter, Bjergsen summarized the season with the words: “My fault. Disappointing year for us.”

What lies behind it: It really seems to be a lesson from the ongoing season that “assembled” teams of star players in LoL do not work, but that it is extremely important for teams to have a hierarchy and follow a shared vision of how they want to view and play LoL.
Like Bjergsen in the USA, the star player in Europe, Perkz, also failed with the idea of assembling a “super team” around him:
On September 6th, Temtem, a colorful MMO in the style of Pokémon, celebrated its release. Shortly after, criticism arose regarding the game’s Battle Pass. Now the developers are addressing the situation.
At release, some players were surprised to see that Temtem features a Battle Pass. The developers of the monster-catching game quickly faced a lot of criticism.
Community Manager Tsukki has now responded to the criticism on the official Discord server of the game.
If you want to get a better impression of what game it is, we have embedded the launch trailer of the Pokémon MMO here:

Temtem – 1.0 Launch Trailer
Developers Respond to Criticism of the Battle Pass
What do the developers say about the criticism? In the post on Discord, Community Manager Tsukki writes that the team is aware of how controversial the Battle Pass is and that the decision caused a lot of unrest in the community.
Tsukki then points out that the developers noticed that a call for “review bombing” took place and that the effects of it are already being felt.
Furthermore, she says that the team does not want the topic surrounding the Battle Pass to distract from the fact that 5 years of work and a lot of effort went into the project.
We know that there were calls to criticize the game, and the effects of this decision are noticeable.
What is Review Bombing? Review bombing occurs when a person with multiple accounts or even a group of people posts a large number of negative user reviews online about a product (for example, a game) or a service, intentionally creating a bad image of the product through these reviews.
This product is essentially “bombarded” with bad reviews. The goal of such an action is often to damage the sales or popularity of the affected product.
Battle Pass Aims to Help Temtem’s Longevity
Why is there a Battle Pass in Temtem? In the statement on Discord, Tsukki also addresses why there is a Battle Pass in Temtem at all. According to her, it was not added out of greed but aims to give the MMO a long life.
Our intention with monetization is not to be greedy, but rather to ensure that Temtem has a long life and is well maintained.
Furthermore, the Battle Pass contains no pay-to-win content and is purely cosmetic. Moreover, the Battle Pass includes enough units of in-game currency to obtain the next Battle Pass for free.
The same principle will also apply to future Battle Passes, allowing players to have an “endless loop of free Battle Passes”.
Our intention has always been to avoid pay-to-win and to make every premium item as optional as possible. Everything that is paid in Temtem is purely cosmetic. We have set it up so that by purchasing a Battle Pass, you receive enough currency to buy the next one for free, creating an endless loop of free Battle Passes.
Does the Battle Pass affect other content? Tsukki emphasizes in the post on Discord that the Battle Pass was created by a different team. This ensured that neither time nor resources had to be diverted from the actual development of the game.
All of this content has been created as an extra by a new team, so it has not taken any time or resources away from development.
In conclusion, Tsukki states that she understands if someone does not want to buy Temtem or support the developer studio due to the Battle Pass. However, she asks that the team or the rest of the community not be attacked or harassed over the issue.
If you want to read the original text from Tsukki in English, we have embedded a screenshot of the statement here:
Review Bombing of Temtem Evident on Steam
Are we seeing review bombing? Looking at the user reviews on Steam, we can certainly see that Temtem received negative reviews based on the Battle Pass:
iKKI via Steam: “Battle Passes have no place in a full-price game.”
POL1ZE1 via Steam: “Battle Pass… need I say more.”
Apox via Steam: “The game is quite good, unfortunately they chose one of the worst payment methods with the Battle Pass.”
EscapeDE via Steam: “Not a single game anymore without a Battle Pass. […] Bring on classic DLCs, but a Battle Pass? I’d rather go work in real life than do this virtually.”
Thus, there are indeed players who rate the game negatively on Steam and cite the Battle Pass as the reason. Considering the average rating, Temtem has definitely experienced some losses.
While the Pokémon MMO had 85% positive ratings during Early Access without a Battle Pass, in the last 30 days – which included the release and the introduction of the Battle Pass – only 58% of the reviews have been positive. We see a similar development currently with Path of Exile, where positive reviews have plummeted from a strong 87% to a disastrous 26%.
What do you think about the Battle Pass in Temtem? In your opinion, is it a reason to negatively rate the game or even to not buy it at all? What are your general thoughts on Battle Passes in games? Feel free to let us know here on MeinMMO in the comments!
If you are not one of the players who let a Battle Pass deter you and instead enjoy Temtem, you might be interested in our Tier List with the best monsters:
“Foxhole” is an unusual MMO that is preparing for its farewell from Early Access. The full release brings new features – and one of them has an unusual backstory.
What kind of game is this? Foxhole is a war MMO that started in Early Access on Steam a little over five years ago. Now the developers have announced that this phase is ending and the full release on Steam will take place on September 28.
But what do you do in the game? You take on the role of a soldier who must join one of two massive armies.
It is controlled from an isometric perspective, so from above. This makes Foxhole look a bit like typical strategy games with a war setting.
The exciting part: Tactics and resources are important, as well as teamwork – you can’t just run across the battlefield like crazy. Players on Steam also praise this: Currently, Foxhole has a “Very Positive” rating, with 83% favorable reviews (from 21,130, as of September 8, 2022).
The versatile battles allow players to take on different roles. In Foxhole, you can also choose to be a “Logistics” worker, who brings resources and troops where they need to go.
And it was exactly this group of players that made headlines at the beginning of the year.
Logistics workers felt neglected, went on strike, now getting a train
The logistics workers felt disadvantaged regarding new features in the game. They made the work for logistics workers on the battlefield too stressful, constantly needing resources. Apparently, players did not like this, even called for a “strike” and in some cases caused the “soldiers” in the game to run out of resources.
This is what the developers are doing for the Steam release: In the dev stream, the developers talked about the upcoming update. They have apparently taken the criticism of the union members to heart. Because as soon as Foxhole 1.0 officially launches on Steam, a new train system will also be added to the game.

Logistics workers will be able to build large railway networks with tracks, which will then be used to quickly transport resources from A to B. This should help reduce stress.

John Smedley, a veteran among developers in the MMORPG genre, is currently working on a new game for Amazon. It has not been officially announced yet, but we already have some info.
He is the former CEO of Sony Online Entertainment and later Daybreak Games. Smedley became known for the MMORPG Everquest from 1999, a cornerstone of the genre that laid the foundation for many more games.
Everquest is still online today and even playable via Steam. It has received a total of 25 expansions. A sequel called “Everquest Next” was planned but was cancelled.
The Lord of the Rings MMORPG discarded, now he is working on something new
Initially, Smedley was working on Amazon’s Lord of the Rings MMORPG, which was ultimately discarded. The developers could not agree with the owners of the rights to The Lord of the Rings. The negotiations dragged on, so Amazon terminated the deal. Thus, the MMORPG that you had dreamed of for 2 years has been scrapped.
Since 2017, Smedley has been part of Amazon. He is now the head of the development team in San Diego. He doesn’t reveal much about his new game – just that it exists.
“I can’t say what I’m working on. But if I want to do a 500-person test tomorrow, I can start it from my desk,” he tells GameSpot. So it could start at any moment.
What kind of game is this? From earlier job postings, we know that it is a science fiction MMO and possibly even an MMORPG. A position was advertised for Senior Narrative Designer. This gives us a few clues about the game:
It is set to take place in a brand new sci-fi world
It will be a Massive Multiplayer Game
They are looking for employees who have plenty of experience in MMO development
Experience in storytelling in MMORPGs is desired.
It is also supposed to be a long-lasting game and reach a lifespan of more than 10 years, Smedley reveals in an interview with GameSpot.
What do you think about this topic? Are you sad that Amazon’s Lord of the Rings MMORPG has been discarded? Are you excited about John Smedley’s new game? Do you think it will be a true MMORPG? Or are you also doubting a release now? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO!
Recently, the MMORPG Tower of Fantasy was released:
A dispute arises in the community of Genshin Impact. The English voice actor is criticized for the pronunciation of an Arabic name. Some call him a racist, while others defend him.
Tighnari is a character you meet in the latest update in the Sumeru region. The area is inspired by the Middle East. The character is voiced by the English voice actor Elliot Gindi, who pronounces the name in English rather than Arabic.
A person named Oryx created a channel on YouTube, which contains only a single video. In it, he corrects the pronunciation of the name Tighnari. “It is damn not ‘Tie-nari'” is written on a board. Here you can see the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phTd4r41reA
The video receives a lot of support in the comments:
Sola Silvestre writes: “The English team responsible for the voice acting should talk to native speakers and ask how certain words are pronounced.”
IvyTruong writes: “The dude created a channel just to correct MiHoYo. Major respect.”
Aluin Kali writes: “As a German, I can understand that. Every German word in the game is so badly mangled that I need subtitles to understand what they are saying.”
Y Qisq writes: “Thank you, we needed this!”
The voice actor defends himself
Elliot Gindi counters instead of accepting the criticism. His colleague Zach Aguilar, the voice of the Traveler, supports him. Both defend the pronunciation used in-game.
“Tighnari is not a name you hear very often,” Aguilar says in a stream to Gindi, after he asked how he would pronounce the name. He had never heard the name Tighnari before. Gindi agrees with him.
Aguilar himself is from the Middle East and his grandmother insisted that all children receive European names to avoid racism.
Other names and words have also been poorly pronounced in Genshin Impact. Therefore, according to Gindi and Aguilar, it is right to establish an English version directly and not to let users who do not speak Arabic even attempt it.
Angry players react by saying Gindi is “mocking players who want Tighnari’s name pronounced correctly”. Others defend him and say he is just doing his job.
What do you think about the dispute over the pronunciation of Tighnari? Would you prefer the Arabic or the English version? Are you on the side of the angry fans, or do you support the voice actor? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO!
