BlizzCon 2016 is just around the corner, and so is the start of the Overwatch World Championships! Here you will get all the info about teams, schedules, and group stages.
The Overwatch World Championships start on next Saturday, October 29. 16 teams have qualified to compete for glory, honor, and above all, the world champion title. From October 29 to 31, the group stage will take place for the 16 teams, determining which 8 teams will advance to the final knockout phase.
The schedule looks like each group will consist of 4 teams. The 2 best teams from each national group can qualify for the knockout phase, which will take place directly at BlizzCon in sunny California. The quarter-finals and semi-finals will be held on November 4, where the best team from 3 will advance. The grand final will be on November 5 and the best team from 7 will ultimately be crowned world champion.

Germany’s team EnVyUs has stood out with its good performances and is a strong contender for the title and thus the trophy. Captain Dennis “INTERNETHULK” Harwelka is considered one of the greatest talents in the scene. Europe, by the way, is doing well overall and has clearly emerged as the best region. All eyes are on Europe so far, and it is believed that one of the European teams will bring the title home. However, the Asian teams are also promising and should provide good competition for Europe.
