Last night, Blizzard released another gameplay preview of Overwatch. This time we accompany Winston as he dominates the battlefield with primal force and technological superiority.

Winston comes from a large program of genetically enhanced gorillas and adopted the name of his human mentor. Thanks to his exceptionally high intelligence, he worked as a scientist for Overwatch (after fleeing from the moon because other gorillas took over – better not ask).
As a weapon, he prefers his Tesla Cannon, which deals damage in a conical close-range radius. His abilities also help the tank gain control of the battlefield.
- The Jump Drive works similarly to a jetpack, but it pushes opponents back at the target location and deals heavy damage. Hit enemies are briefly stunned and thus easy prey.
- With the Shield Projector, Winston protects a small area from fire. From inside, he can shoot at enemies outside. The shield projector can also be attached to moving objects – like a moving mission target.
- His ultimate ability Jungle Fury brings out Winston’s primal protective instincts, making quick work of his enemies. During these 10 seconds, he has significantly more hit points, can use the Jump Drive more often, and deal devastating close-range damage. However, he has to forgo weapon and shield during the rampage.
