In Overwatch Reinhardt has received a very special feature. However, you only have time today!
Today is April 1st, and that means small jokes or features that are only available today on “April’s Fools Day” in many games. Overwatch is no exception. Only today can you play Reinhardt with a very special feature: You will shout at all your teammates in a very amusing way in the chat.
Reinhardt is shouting in the chat: Anyone playing Reinhardt in Overwatch right now and trying to communicate with teammates in the match channel is likely to have some problems. All sent chat messages are written in caps lock and are accompanied by one of Reinhardt’s quotes. And because volume is particularly important for the German knight, three exclamation marks are added.
A neutral “Hello” then becomes: “HELLO!!! GLEI SCHÄBBARDS!!!”
The joke only works on PC: However, there are a lot of restrictions for this April Fool’s joke. It only works in the “Match” channel, where both teams can read along. In the team channel, you can still write normally. This way, the sometimes serious communication within the team is not affected.
It also only works on PC – as there is no text chat on consoles, and therefore no shouting Reinhardts.
If a lot of players shout at you today, you should be a bit more reserved with your criticism. Because if it’s a Reinhardt, he simply can’t help it.
