Jetpack Cat has been desired by many players as an Overwatch hero. A origin story video has already been created – made by a fan.
The Overwatch heroes are consistently popular among fans. However, 27 different characters are not enough for the community, which is why there are always crazy demands for new heroes. One of these heroes was “Jetpack Cat”, as the name suggests, literally a cat with a jetpack.
This was once just a fixed idea from the developers to test the limits of how far one wants to go in Overwatch. This limit was then Winston, the scientist gorilla. Jetpack Cat was thus history for the time being.
Jetpack Cat wants “her human” back
But in the hearts of the fans, Jetpack Cat lived on. Hopes were fueled by various teasers from Blizzard, which later turned out to be an announcement for Brigitte. There were repeatedly clips of a cat seen, along with blueprints for mechanical devices. For many players, it was clear: Blizzard is trolling a bit here and packing a lot of references to Jetpack Cat into the teasers.
However, some fans are not satisfied with that, such as the YouTube channel To Binge. This channel has previously created several clips about Overwatch and has now also dealt with an origin story of Jetpack Cat. Here you can watch the “Jetpack Cat Origin Story”:
As expected, it features Brigitte’s cat, who thinks in typical cat fashion. For example, she refers to Brigitte as “her human, who has to fight against evil vacuum cleaners together with grandfather (Reinhardt) and the garden gnome (Torbjörn)”.
Because the vacuum cleaners have stolen her human, she now has to take life from the vacuum cleaners. Sounds convincing, doesn’t it?
