Overwatch has a typical “Blizzard learning curve” that follows the popular motto “Easy to learn and hard to master”. Those who want to improve in the hero shooter Overwatch must take some tips and tricks from other players. Recently, there has been a nice hint regarding Reinhardt that makes playing him easier.
On Reddit, the user thar_ has now released a video showing a simple but effective trick to play Reinhardt much more effectively. Within hours, the video and post became one of the most popular in the Overwatch subreddit. In less than 24 hours, the post received over 38,000 upvotes.
The most beautiful kills with Reinhardt are undoubtedly those where you catch an opponent with the charge and carry them to a cliff. It’s truly perfect when the opponent is thrown off, but Reinhardt stays back at the cliff and can wave goodbye.
However, learning the right distance for the charge is not so easy with different cliffs.
A spray logo marks the starting point
Thar_ demonstrates how simple it is: You stand at the cliff and charge forward in the opposite direction. Once you reach the goal, Reinhardt uses a spray logo right in front of him. The spray logo marks the perfect spot to start the charge, as the distance covered is (logically) the same in both directions.
This works generally on all maps with a cliff that provides a bit of room to run up.
But be careful: A Lúcio on your team can increase the distance of the charge even further. Then two players will fly over the cliff…
