There are some changes coming for Overwatch. Especially the hacker Sombra is on the developers’ to-do list. She can look forward to strong buffs in an update in the near future.
Although the major Symmetra rework is currently on everyone’s lips in Overwatch, fans already have further concerns and wishes. Especially the hero Sombra is disliked by many and is considered “too weak” even by professional players. In the official forum, players complained, and game director Jeff Kaplan commented on this. Major changes for Sombra are on the way in the near future.
What did Kaplan say about Sombra? Kaplan did not want to reveal any specific details yet, as the exact changes are still “in flux” internally. However, players can expect “significant changes” to Sombra – and that already in July. In a few weeks, there should be some noticeable improvements for the hacker to make her a useful addition for many teams again.

What fans wish for: Fans are especially afraid that Sombra will become “too easy”. Because she is as difficult and hectic to play as Tracer, it is hoped that this difficulty will remain while simultaneously making her more rewarding. Besides that, players have crazy theories and wishes. Some players hope that Sombra’s EMP ultimate allows for “Friendly Fire” on the opposing team for a few seconds – anyone shooting wildly could hit their own teammates. Whether these wishes come true will be revealed in the July patch.
